One of the most pleasurable regional jet flights I’ve had. Super quick boarding - ultra pleasant crew and really smooth flight, departure and landing. Excellent job, crew!
After a mechanical issue caused a change of plans, we were boarded on the new plane before it had been refueled causing an extra delay. In these situations, since the fueling situation is easily predicted, boarding could’ve been delayed a little bit so passengers can enjoy the comfort of the terminal rather than being “sardined” in the plane for a longer period than was necessary.
Pros: "they finally let us off the plane after over 3 hours of just sitting on the tarmac"
Cons: "Flight could have taken off and arrived on time in JFK. Weather was the stated reason so understood but stressful and crew were also not patient with the questions regarding connections"

Cons: "After sitting on the plane for over an hour we had to change planes. Notice that our aircraft isn’t working properly before you board it would be helpful so we aren’t 2 hours behind schedule having to sit on a hot airplane during covid"

Pros: "Well I arrived at the gate 8 minutes before departure due to a late flight from San Antonio. And no one was there. I watched the plane leave 5 minutes late. The gate attendants were super rude and lazy when they came back up the ramp. I think the walk really took it out of them. There were 10 people who had run from delayed flights just standing there thinking wtf."
Cons: "AA in Phoenix is always a nightmare. They seem to hire lazy people with no idea of customer service"

Cons: "Your staff needs to utilize better communication. I scheduled the first flight of the day, and it was delayed. We were stuck on the tarmac for an hour without anyone telling us what was going on. We had to return to the gate to refuel and we left at the time we were suppose to arrive to Charlotte."

Cons: "Mobile boarding passes did not work and required us to go back to the service counter and print the tickets. Luckily we had time but this was a hassle given we were traveling with our 3 year old. The woman at the service desk quickly helped us print the passes but stated the mobile boarding passes tended to not scan. They should have told us to print the passes the first time we were at the counter if they knew the mobile passes tend to not work."

Cons: "7 hour flight with no individual entertainment, plane was not clean chairs worn and controls were filthy. One flight attendant asked “Are you going to eat”? Customer interaction leaves much to be desired."

Cons: "in the airport, the gate area dirty!, bathrooms dirty, no place to charge phone. The walk to the airplane, getting aboard the plane after the gate and flight changed and delayed. Being told it was weather related on the plane and being told it was MAINTENANCE by customer service. The plane was very crowded, the flight attendants never smiled. WHen i told the attendant i was being "rained" on he said...i know its happening everywhere..... he said there was nothing he could do but get me paper towels...they never came. I was very annoyed getting off the plane walking back and forth....it was aweful. and my flight before this was no better i am VERY TURNED OFF BY AMERICAN AIRLINES RIGHT NOW."
Pros: "Flight attendant actually seemed to enjoy job even had genuine smile. Made that the most enjoyable flight I’ve had in awhile"
Cons: "I didn’t like the fact I had to wait 5 and a half hours in the airport and not being compensated by the airline, who for some reason penalize anyone of their passagers if they are late or want to change a flight. I was also late for a meeting"

Pros: "I appreciated the interactive screen on the backseat, which provided me entertainment watching Doctor Who and playing Angry Birds. I also liked that the power outlet to charge my phone was more accessible on the backseat instead of below my seat, which is normally where I find it."
Cons: "I did not appreciate that there was a device mounted below 2 of the 3 backseats in my row. Those devices cut into at least a few inches of valuable room to store a carry-on bag. At worst, I've seen 1 seat have such a device, so it was quite disappointing to see 2 seats with them, including mine."
Pros: "The calmness and assurance from the cockpit was promising"
Cons: "Flight attendants were not pleasant at all. They had know clue what to do during the flight emergency."
Pros: "Boarding moved along well, even though there wasn’t special boarding for families with young children. The plane was really comfortable (new 2x2) and the staff was really friendly."
Cons: "Agent at gate said overhead compartments were all full and no more room for any bag. So I had to check in my carry on luggage . To my surprise, there had many open space when I walked in the plane. The worst thing was my brand new suitcase was torn. I told the luggage agent the incident and she said they had no liability what so ever."

Pros: "The flight was delayed 4 times until we were unable to make our connecting flight. We were sent home to try again tomorrow. Meanwhile other flights AA made their connections. Total bullshit. I suggest they couldn't round up a crew."

Pros: "I was able to try the recently redesigned coach cabin seats which are OK for a short flight. But I wouldn't want to be seating in them for more than 2 to 3 hours top specially on the window or worse a middle seat. The crew was attentive up to a point (just saw them boarding and when given a cracker and some water during the flight). I think American can do a better job providing comfortable seats or even a nicer meal during flights."

Pros: "The guy at the check in counter was awesome, even though his English wasn't great. He upgraded me to the exit row seats since my legs are long; usually you need to pay for this. The seats were huge and comfortable, though the arm rests didn't move, so you could stretch out (the flight wasn't that full)."
Cons: "One flight attendant was basically rude to everyone. She was so comically unfriendly that people on the plane were actually mocking her (for good reason). She refused to explain to us how the emergent slide worked. We asked because the visual instructions on the door were different from those in the seat back pamphlet. In fact, I still don't know which directions are the correct ones (they were contradictory)."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very accommodating. One of the flight attendants encouraged me to take advantage of a seat that had more space so that I was more comfortable. Also when I casually talked about how I didn't get to eat before the flight she gave me two of the cinnamon crackers that are offered during the flight. This was very thoughtful and considerate of her. It was the little things and the attendants attention to detail that provided me an excellent experience."

Cons: "I missed my flight in Atlanta heading to LA on my way to Brisbane, Australia on Saturday 16th July. The ground staff wasn't at all helpful in trying to get me on another flight and in fact sent me to Delta! The lady there couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Sadly I wasn't compensated at all and had to pay to re-book the flights on the Sunday 17th. On my return from Brisbane, American Airlines had cancelled my flight to Atlanta as they said I was a 'no show' heading out. Thankfully I was able to get a seat on stand by. So, no I'm not a happy customer."
