Cons: "(1) Was about to miss flight because originally my flight booking was from Benazir International Airport Islamabad but t the time of flight I boarded from a different and new airport in Islamabad which had become operational in Islamabad in the last week of April 2018 . My flight was on 10th May 2018 from Islamabad to Doha to Chicago but neither my online booking site ( Kayak ) not Qatar Airways sent any notification that my Boarding was changed from Banzir International Airport to the newer, bigger airport. Consequently , on the day of flight, I went to check in and board from the Bnazir International Airport but upon reaching the airport I was told that the airport was no more in operation. I was surprised to hear that all flights were to be from the newer airport. By the time I rerouted my taxi to the new airport I was already late for my flight but fortunately the flight from Islamabad to Doha, Qatar was delayed and I made it to the boarding time and flew to Doha , Qatar and then to Chicago."
Pros: "The flight attendants were professional and polite, I requested low-fat meals and they were good, the entertainment was very good, the air temperature was comfortable, most flights I had were on time."
Cons: "The legroom was a problem. Seats are kind of narrow, and then, with the lack of legroom it’s somewhat challenging to shift your legs, especially when the seat in front of you goes back! I felt like the person was almost in my lap. My cup even got crunched. I think my biggest issue, though, lay in how I was treated after paying $127.00 to obtain a day pass for the lounge each way. For my inbound flight my purse was branded with an “economy” class luggage type tag, and I was made to feel as though I was trying to sneak in. I had to show my boarding pass a number of times to employees after asking for the location of the lounge in order to be directed there, and then my credentials were examined as though I was trying to get into Fort Knox. Upon arrival at the desk, I was somewhat tersely informed that I had 6 hours. I went out of my way a bit in order to fly Qatar, which is supposed to be so wonderful, and I was underwhelmed. I’ve had better experiences on Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines."
Cons: "the returning flight from Doha to Chicago was absolutely old and small."
Pros: "The Crew The Food"
Cons: "The fact that we (my son and I) had to wait at the airport for over 9hours transiting. right after a 9hr 35miins journey."
Pros: "It was really good, crew helped a lot me n my baby, it was not difficult to travel alone with my baby"
Pros: "I am always glad to see a working USB port for charging mobile devices on these 12+ hour flights and was not disappointed here. The list of movies was long. Also positive was the tallest headrest I have experienced in coach."
Cons: "The seat are thinly padded and felt close together, making the already long flight feel even more fatiguing."
Pros: "Cabin crew including the ground staff were awesome in providing best of its class customer service. Food and entertainment onboard was really good."
Pros: "Crew welcomes"
Cons: "Bad takeoff and landing"
Cons: "The flight crew had no control over the passengers on this flight! Kids running around when the seat belt sign on, called fro assistance TWICE and no one came to my seat and I held my trash for a whole hour and not ONE person stopped by to get it from me!"
Pros: "Like your six seats in a business class row compared to Emirates, Air India and very awkward seats of Etihad. Qatar business class staff also tad better than others."
Pros: "Very organized, helpful staff, they also provide lots of entertainment and food"
Pros: "I have long stay in the DOha airport, 22 hours, and during this there is no accomodation is provided by Qatar airway"
Cons: "The flight departure from Dar was moved up an hour and the congestion at the airport made it close. Also I need a name tag on a checked piece of luggage. When I asked, I was told that none were available. The check in person was not pleasant or helpful. I also had to watch to make sure that the luggage labels were attached to be sure that they would make it to Chicago. Once on the plane there was an unrudy boy sitting in front of us jumping in his seat, never wearing his seat belt kicking the seat, turning on the light beating on the tray table, calling the flight attendant. The adult ignored the child through the flight. It was one of the worse experiences I have had on a plane. I would have to think very hard before I fly Qatar again."
Cons: "Didnt have food My mother has diabetes and she had one meal in her 14 hr flight Unacceptable"
Cons: "The Qatar stuff at Nairobi airport was very rude when I tried to ask for their help. She was extremely inpatient and showed us angry face. Totally disappointed and not expected from an airline claimed to be one of the best."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable with sufficient leg space and overall ambience of the cabin."
Cons: "I pre ordered Hindu meal. The meal selection by the airline was same from Karachi-Doha and Doha-Chicago. There was no choice of menu in the meal on such a long flight. Moreover taste of offered food was not satisfactory."
Pros: "My family was happy with the service provided by Qatar airline."
Pros: "First of all, I want to preface this by saying that virtually every airline is better than the major ones working in the US (American, United, and Delta), and Qatar Airways is amongst this number. The entertainment selection was excellent, the best of any flight I've ever been on. The flight attendants were excellent, again, much better than those on American carriers (I am American, FYI)."
Cons: "The food was terrible. Of course, we know this about airline food, BUT I have been on Qatar Airways flights with GOOD food in the past, so I know it can be better. Also, I sat in the baby section, which also happens to be where they put long-legged people. This is no one's fault, but suffice to say, do NOT sit next to 4 5-month olds for a 15-hr flight! Interestingly, since all flight attendants were women, about 50% of the flight did listen to them since there were many conservative Arabs onboard from Qatar or Saudi Arabia (i.e., those who are taught not to listen to or respect women). This made for some frustrating sites to witness but it's obviously not the airline's fault. Poor women!"
Cons: "On O-Hare Airport, Qatar Air Line's staff is very rod, I never recommend to anyone. Now if anyone ask from me then i refuse to buy Qatar Aiway ticket then they buy Emirate or other air line tickets"
Cons: "No WiFi"
Pros: "The food you serve is good! We also appreciated the little gray packs of toothbrush, toothpaste, socks, etc. that you shared. The staff is very professional, and we enjoyed our flight,. We enjoyed the "quiet room" in the airport."
Cons: "I had a little trouble with the dvd monitor."
Cons: "Worst customer service ever seen in my 15years of flying experience. Initially charged $1000 for 3 tickets for modification of return trip - confirmed the same and tickets issued (i'm fine with this). But, after i made arrangements for new date, I got a call saying calculation error and asked to pay another $500 leaving me no choices. How can such a reputed airline have no tools to calculate the pay? Other airlines offered one-way for half of the price i paid. On top of it, online helpdek promised front line seat to satisfy me but nothing was offered even if i ask explicitly. Simply declined saying i am not in priority list. Why do they make false promises? Friends, Just don't fly in Qatar for food....."
Pros: "Due to the multiple booking mess, I got a middle seat in a 14 hour long leg as all all isle seats were taken. I requested an isle seat due to health issue but no help. The flight was 1.15 hour late and made me lose my connection at Chicago.Never flying Qatar again."
Pros: "Good staff and service."
Cons: "Too long a flight and require more leg room and reclining seats to be more comfortable."
Cons: "No good movies on the flight. The crew hardly interacts. The food sucks and they served sausage to me even though I was a vegetarian and they said they didn't have anything else. The headrest kept falling off ."
Pros: "It was my first time traveling on business class and I had an amazing experience, friendly and helpful crew, they always made sure that I was doing fine and if I needed anything or any help. Healthy options on they food menu and delicious food and beverages. I am looking forward to traveling with Qatar airways again in the future."
Cons: "Would prefer more options on they entertainment menu."
Pros: "Food was good."
Cons: "The seat in front of me was occupied by an adult who kept bouncing and reclining seats. The crew did not respond to call lights. No Wi-Fi on such a long flight."
Pros: "Leg room. Free booze. Personalized attention"
Cons: "The thought of flying American carriers afterwards"
Pros: "The food on the way back to the United States was excellent. The flight attendants were very friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The good on the way to Cape Town was deplorable. Some of the seat back entertainment centers were malfunctioning while trying to watch movies. They would stop and move forward of their own accord."
Cons: "Because they lost my begs and don't have clothes to wear. Me and my wife had a worst experience with Qatar Airlines and never take that in future."
Pros: "Plane wasn't full, which was nice."
Cons: "Boarding was a mess. Starting the pre-boarding process into an area without a restroom was horrible. Not allowing us to bring a water bottle on a 14-hour flight was cruel. Movie selection could be better. Additionally, it seems like the Qatar airport is becoming more like a US airport. Agents were barking orders and the pre-boarding process was slow. It was not a good start to the flight."
Pros: "Please see above"
Cons: "Please see above"
Pros: "Lots of disruptive kids, one of the ethnically chinese (sorry didn't catch her name) was very attentive and supportive of parents trying to keep their kids happy on a twelve hour flight."
Cons: "Long flight, infrequent water distribution, half the staff just chatting in the back. Filthy bathrooms not cleaned in flight."
Cons: "Not much of space in aircraft"
Cons: "The flight was delayed, i had only 2 hours connection in Chicago for an international flight, they asked passengers to NOT panic and do not ask if they didn't call a passenger name. They will call passengers who would miss thier connection for accommodation otherwise you are safe. Unfortunately I didt ask since they didn't call me, when I reached the gate from Chicago, it was closed."
Pros: "The services is very satisfied and every thig was excellent"
