Pros: The whole experience was amazing. For a long flight, I was expecting to be miserable. But I was oddly satisfied. From the nice spacious seats, the the smorgasbord of food (never been fed so much on an airplane) to the excellent staff service I was impressed. Even the bathrooms were clean!
Cons: I wish I could’ve chosen to have my meal later. I didn’t ask but it would be nice to have that option since I wanted to sleep when they handed out dinner.

Pros: Crew friendly and courteous as always, plane had more legroom than most, entertainment tech was top-notch, and of course, EVA always has great food.

Cons: We were traveling only with carryons. The body of carry on itself weigh more than 5 pounds. The check in guy were being difficult just for four lb extra and made us check in one bag which caused us inconvenience later going through baggage claim. Inside the flight passengers had heavier luggage.

Pros: Flew with EVA 16 years ago to Hanoi, Vietnam and again in 2018 to Hanoi, via Taipei. Very professional, attentive, good food, little amenities that make a difference in the overall experience of traveling. Very clean bathrooms, even after a 16-1/2 hour flight to Taipei it was still clean at the end of the trip. Food was good and plentiful, wine, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages offered. Came around at least three times on the leg to Taipei with food and water and when I wanted more water they gladly made sure I stayed hydrated on such a long flight.

Pros: I’m a frequent traveler and there is usually always a long wait when calling any airline customer service number. This is my first time flying EVA so I had several questions. I called 3 times in one week and was surprised that all my calls were answered within one minute. Well done!!!
Cons: I gave the representative my TSA pre approval information but found out later at the security check point they don’t participate in this program.

Cons: In spite of JFK airport shuting down due to Storm Grayson, EVA airline refused to cancel the flight until 1 hour before the time of departure! They wouldnt listen to my requests to change flights until it was too late. JFK airport put out a notice at 7:30PM stating that they woukd be closed until 7am the next morning. However, i recieved an email from EVA airlines AND Kayak around 9 PM stating that my flight was on time... the airport was closed!! Terrible organization... overall a really bad experience.

Cons: Airline seemed to be extremely stingy with the food and beverages during my 12hr + flight. Felt like I had to fight for every little bit of extra scrap of food and explain why I needed it. It was also very limited options almost everything in the menu contained pork and if you did not pre-order a meal in advanced then it was hard for you to get anything else to eat. Airline also forces you to take out your headphones from the TV set almost 20 minutes before arriving for some odd reason. And on my flight we had a two hour delay on the tarmac.

Pros: The service was implacable. Flight attendants are super polite, nice and helpful. The plane is large and comfortable, very clean and they offer essential oils and creams in the bathroom,makingbthe experince even better.
Cons: As a vegan, I was very happy that they offer a vegan meal and were very nice about it. The food could've been a little better and at this day and age they should have some sort of protein in it, like tofu. Regarding entertainment, I felt that they could've have a bit more variety. Other than that everything was great

Pros: EVA Airlines was a wonderful experience from the beginning all the way to the end. From checking in to receive boarding passes, boarding, stewardess, the food, everything was wonderful. They were always pleasant and had a smile on their face. When my trip was changed by the website (vayama) to fly back to the states, EVA Airlines went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care, placed on another flight, and made it home to get to work the next day. They didn’t have to take care of me, but the did and the professionalism is amazing! I’m very pleased with this airline and will fly with them again!

Pros: They were very efficient and did their job well. Entertainment systems worked well, were easy to use and the controls didn't impede use of armrests. I didn't measure the recline but it seemed a little more than typical. The food was very good.

Pros: The service at the counter in JFK. I think the guy's name was Darren (not sure on the spelling) - great service. The EVA plane staff was well trained and accommodating.

Pros: The flight left and arrive on time. The crew pleasant, the food great and the choice of what to drink was a nice selection. Liked the tracking map of the flight. Would fly with them again if I was going to their locations. Four of us booked at the same time and at least their paired us next to each other.
Cons: Going from one gate to another and having to re-enter, take shoes off etc and there was a long line. Bring your own headphones, they were like $20 a piece.

Pros: Excellent pilots! We met a very tough weather when we took off from Taipei 4/21/17 8pm. I thought it was the end of my life! Prayers, competent pilots, and dependable plane had saved us. To God be the glory!
Cons: I was requested to wait for a space for my carry on luggage which is fine. I waited for the FA to tell me where to put it and I placed it myself where she asked me to. Few minutes later, she asked me to move my luggage and to place it to another overhead cabin because she said It's "heavy." I followed the standard size and weight for carry on luggage. Another passenger helped me instead. No place to rest our feet.

Pros: The Vegan food was great on the first half of my trip. The stewardess took my information and promised to help me reserve a vegan meal for the second half of my trip. She did not deliver on her word. The crew on the second half of my trip explained to me that I had not requested a special meal when I'm fact, I did.
Cons: The flight crew was aware of poor weather on the first leg of my trip. I boarded the flight and it was grounded, at the gate, for 4 hours before departing. THAT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!

Cons: I don't understand why I can't use my own headphones in the headphone jack attached to the built-in monitors. I was in the middle of a movie in the last 30 minutes of the flight and we were asked to turn in our EVA-provided headsets, which was fine. Since the movie was still playing, I plugged in my own and was promptly asked to remove them. This rule seems a little ridiculous.

Pros: Customer service was outstanding. After a debacle with Jetblue where they cancelled our originating flight, we booked another ticket through Delta to get to JFK. The Delta flight was delayed on the tarmac of JFK for 45 minutes, giving us only 15 minutes to go to the EVA terminal and check in. The terminal was nearly empty when we ran up to the counter. Luckily, the agents had not closed down yet. They attempted to check us in when they realized that the airline cancelled our ticket because our Jetblue originating flight was cancelled. The agents worked furiously to ensure we got on the flight, even communicating with the gate to let them know we were coming. They rebooked our tickets and got us on the plane. We are so appreciative of the EVA staff at JFK for saving our vacation.

Cons: First time traveling via Philippines airlines, was hoping for a good direct flight, was just very disappointed. Not much variety in food, no really onboard vegetarian or seafood options. Comfort wise economy seat are bit tighter compared to other international airlines. Crew was very helpful, did their best to accommodate to what they had to work with, their crew truly saves their short-givings.

Cons: Flight attendants need to come around more often to offer water or other beverages because dehydration is such an issue on a 16+ hour flight. In addition, we boarded on time at 1:00 for a 1:45am flight but did not leave the gate until 4:00am. This jeopardized my connection in Manila.

Cons: It’s such a shame that Philippine Airlines (PAL) charged extra for aisle and window seats! There was so much vacant seats during the flight. This was a deliberate way of PAL to extract more money from their passengers. In the future, my family and I will not choose PAL anymore. We felt cheated.

Pros: Aside from the scare of not making my flight because it was overbooked. I think the boarding process could have been a little more efficient. The staff are amazing as always which is why PAL is my preferred airline when traveling to and within Philippines.
Cons: Since I have pretty broad shoulders, it’s difficult to sleep in the isles. Not to mention the multiple babies crying. Outside of that, everything was wonderful.

Pros: Business class from Bangkok to San Francisco was good overall, especially for $1400 one way. Food was not very good for business class, was more in line with JAL, EVA, Korean or ANA econo class but again, for the price, no complaints. Great friendly service, quick boarding. Priority Pass didn't have a lounge in Manila but thankfully, Philippines Air had their own lounge with great food and drinks for 1st Class and Business class ticket holders. Plane from BKK to Manila was NICE and comfy, all latest technology with beautiful fully adjustable chairs that lay flat. Would fly with them again!

Pros: I was very lucky to have two spaces beside me so plenty of room however I know this is not always the case. This plaine was modern with a good selection of inflight entertainment. The on board staff were extreamly courteous and helpful. Food was okay was a good selection of beverages on this flight. You are provided with inlight comforts like blackets etc if you wished to sleep -

Cons: I checked in early and was given a middle seat. I have back problems and walk with a cane and asked at the check in desk if I could have a window or aisle. I was told no because the flight was completely booked. I arrived three hours early and checked in online so I could get a better seat and they still said no. No one was able to help me. The flight was delayed over an hour and there was no apology. I always fly Philippine Airlines because IV always been really pleased with the service. This past flight makes me question that decision going forward.

Cons: First of all, both on my departure and return flight, despite having boarded 30 minutes ahead of schedule, we remained on the floor for an additional hour (both for taking and after landing). Next, the flight attendants did a poor job of ensuring that everyone did not get up when we landed and the seatbelt sign was on, and this led to herds of people running through the aisles and rushing to get off past those that were patiently waiting. The leg room is very limited, unless it is an empty flight. The red wine was perhaps the worst I have ever had. AND the wifi that was available for purchase was 40 USD for only 150 mb of data which is absolutely ridiculous.

Pros: We got 2 food vouchers one at night, the other early in the morning. However the food establishment was so pricy a chocolate bar was $7 USD.
Cons: 13 hour delay, would not let us go home, would not cancel the flight, instead pushed the boarding time back one hour every hour starting at 4am. Flight was supposed to leave JFK by 11:55pm, we left at 1pm the following day. It wasn't solely due to the weather (we expected a slight delay), but in the morning, plenty of other flights were running regularly, while there were no updates. No one that cared, all the staff just told us it wasn't their fault. (Which is true to an extent), but all so mentioned that they were tired too, and they're exhausted too, which made many people angrier. They deflected a lot of statements.

Cons: The line at JFK. There we not enough seats for passengers. Sink was clogged in one restroom and remained so even after the "technical" layover at YVR.

Cons: There was confusion and poor organization at the check in counter. The check in started late and there was a 500 ft line up to check in at Philippine Airlines. We waited 2 hours in the plane for 4 people who were late for the flight, then the cargo handlers didn't show up. We left at 5am instead of 3am. The flight attendants didn't seem to know why we weren't leaving. Two short announcements were made in 2 hours that didn't explain properly why we sat there so long. The food was wretched. The flight attendants were pleasant but the captain and the purser's announcements were hard to understand with poor English.

Repeatedly called Philippine Airlines customer service to ask about them providing overnight hotel accommodation given the new flight time, but was either told to call back later, that they had entered the wrong date for the request for hotel accommodation - in the end received no reply at all!! Worst airline customer service experience ever!

I chose the beef option — a small lump of "beef" that was overcooked and under sauced, accompanied by a sad pied of steamed broccoli and a disproportionately large portion of white rice. The quinoa salad was passable, but the "peach cobbler" dessert course was a flavorless mass of gelatinous goo.

Pros: The agent was at the air Canada counter was amazing. He helped with getting my toddler a ticket, he walked us all the way to our gate because we were late boarding.
Cons: My toddler should have been issued a ticket from the beginning if that’s the policy. It took forever to cross the airport and then i had to figure out where to get our tickets which took over an hour and then we had to go through tsa again. Thank God the agent helped us through. I ended up not having food nor water for my son nor myself and of course no service on the flight. It was a miserable day to say the least.

Cons: The flight was operated by Air Canada, who habitually assume either that the people in the final row have no hand luggage or simply suffer from a severe lack of operational storage capacity. Overhead bins full of spare plastic cups. As far as the crew are concerned, no problem, because you can just push your way three or four rows forward while everyone else is boarding and then take someone else's overhead space. When will Air Canada learn how to run an airline?

Pros: Our flight boarded slightly later than expected but ended up taking off on time. Flight crew was courteous and provided water the entire time to ensure everyone was hydrated. In flight entertainment was nicely done with a personal touch screen headrest TV that had ample TV and movies to choose from. We landed slightly ahead of schedule and by the time I got to baggage claim, my oversized bag (snowboard bag) was already waiting for me.

Pros: Our connecting flight was cancelled due to weather. That is truly out of the airline’s control. What is in their control is communicating the status of the flight with us. When we checked in they took email addresses and cell phone numbers for status updates. We never received any updates. Consequently we didn’t know the flight had been cancelled until it was too late to make an adequate adjustment. On top of that we had to deal with the worst customer service rep in the world at the ticket booth when we struggled to make alternate plans. Completely unsatisfactory experience.

No Air Canada employees were explaining anything to anyone, as we all stood in line for over a hour, nervous we'd miss our flights. Lack of assistance from Air Canada personnel was glaring.

I showed the customer service agent at the gate and that's when she told me I didnt have a seat on the plane and that they had to get me one before I could board it. Everything ended up working out in the but the same problem happened with another flyer and they couldn't get her a seat. So she had to wait for the next flight!! I felt bad for her because like myself she paid for a seat on that plane and because of Air Canada's horrible system she missed her flight. Also, my flight to Newark was nightmare because my flight from London to Toronto was delayed, and my connecting flight to Newark left without waiting for me and other passengers on the delayed plane. I think that's the most crazy thing because all us passengers paid for that flight and we had no choice but to wait the next day. We were accommodated with a hotel after waiting hours and hours but it was still very frustrating.

Pros: Other than the usher at the check-in desk, all other Air Canada staff were polite and helpful.
Cons: Usher at check-in desk had terrible communication skills. He had an antagonist tone that set an aggressive tone for those just trying to comply to his directions.

Pros: Overall a good experience. Had to pay for food but it was quite good so I didn't mind. Supposedly the crew were short staffed but I found them attentive and helpful and to be honest I believe the people who complained may have been a little precious.

Pros: I appreciated the early flight, that it was a direct flight, ability to make connection and then complete my journey in one long day. It was on time, smooth flight. Appreciated the offer of water regularly during the flight.
Cons: Surprised that there is no longer even a small complimentary snack offered.

Pros: Everything was solid.
Cons: There was no WI-FI which was inconvenient. The crew was good...could have been nicer on the way from Newark to Vancouver.

Cons: Flight out of Newark delayed so we were going to miss the connection. We were rebooked to fly via London but we lost 6 hours in Rome. Air Canada attendant at Newark said the flight was always delayed and passengers regularly needed to be rebooked. You should recommend air Canada cancels selling this itinerary or bringing the Newark flight forward to de risk any delays

Pros: Boarding by zones worked efficiently and boarding was quite smooth. Flight was smooth as well.
Cons: First time flying this airline and I was surprised to see TVs on the plane though they had a smaller selection than other airlines. They made an announcement at the gate before boarding that anyone with a US passport had to complete an info card. I feel that was an inefficient way to collect that information as people who arrived after the announcement did not complete it. The card seemed a bit pointless.

Pros: Entertainment system is good
Cons: Crew was an hour late arriving at airport so flight was delayed. No food, not even a snack, on a 5+ hour flight is not acceptable.

Pros: I was surprised at how much leg room there was. Also, there were a lot of entertainment choices for such a short flight.
Cons: They didn't clearly call zones, so I wasn't sure when I could board and ended up being one of the last people to get on the plane.

Pros: New interior felt clean and the new entertainment system felt responsive with a large amount of movies and shows to view
Cons: seats were very hard with reduced legroom after you recline. Lavatories were far and few. Food was mediocre with 3 meals, I had to ask for extras.

Cons: Very very bad customer service. I was flying to Rome from NYC on Friday night and my flight was cancelled. I was just notified by a text saying that there was a change in my flight. After calling customer service, I was forced to take the afternoon flight on Friday as I had to be in Rome for a wedding on Saturday. Even if I was rushed to the airport (my call with the customer service took place at 12.00 and the flight was after 2.30 hours...) and cancelled all my appointments and had to take special permission to leave from work, I was never offered any upgrades or refunds while at the same time the attitude of the rep was take the change or leave it. At the airport, I called again the customer service to understand better the cancellation policy based on their website and their response was to apply on the website and maybe I would get a little bit of money and they don't offer upgrades for these kind of situations. They indicated that it is up to gate manager to decide for upgrades, which when I tried this approach I was notified that the customer service should have flag me appropriately....I don't really care about the refund or the upgrade as at the end I was able to reach my destination on time; however, it was extremely disappointing to see a whole organization that does not take into consideration their customers time and ignore any descent customer service to them. Simply, never again.
