Cons: "i had had a really bad day already, and i found a lady from the crew to be extremely rude. i was already extremely exhausted without much space to keep a disposable glass on me, i asked her to take it away and throw it if it were possible, very politely. she responded in a tone that was loud, harsh, and uncalled for to tell me that she doesn't take glasses and throw them when she's serving and another cart will be on the way. i respect that she was at work and i made a request that she couldn't fullfill at the time, however, i felt that was no way to treat a guest, and i could've been spoken to in a politer and friendlier manner. i felt extremely hurt on a very bad day and i deserved a little bit of respect in front of other fellow passengers."

Cons: "First time flying Alaska outside of the Mainland. For a five hour flight, surprised there were no complementary meal service. Only beverage cart services. Flying five hours to Maui, Hawaii is a bit different than a 1 hour flight to Portland or Seattle. Price of Alaska economy ticket no less than their next competitor (i.e., Hawaiian Air, etc.) on the same flight route offering meal service. May want to rethink pricing model?"
Pros: "Our ticket handler at Alaska Airlines ( Sep 21- SMF Airport) was the most helpful and patient person we have ever encountered! The tickets we had purchased through Kayak were charged but not booked. Juan did everything in his power to get us on that flight. And when the kayak company failed to book in time Juan got us on the next available flight, being to sure to find us the best price and a direct flight, versus the one we had booked earlier. Over all Alaska Airlines will be the standard my future experiences will be based off of if I am unable to travel through them"

It pretty much all sucked. and then - & I know this is out of your hands - but this was all n top of bad turbulance... Worst Flight I hve ever been on, and I am a Travel agent, and practically grew up on Airplanes."

Pros: "I fly this route regularly and Alaska is my first choice - the service is good, and everyone gets a celebratory drink prior to landing in the Islands. I will often upgrade to 1st class, and that is so worth it. I arrive at my destination after 5 hours feeling relaxed and able to jump right into the new environment."

If I wasn't so focused on sleeping as much as I could I would have written her name down. No complimentary cocktails for Preferred Seating? Seriously? What did I upgrade for exactly? Literally four inches of space? Late, rude, money sucking industry who holds no accountability for wrong doings. Don't get into the Health Industry.. you'll kill people with this flippant attitude. Bleh.. I doubt I'll fly with Delta again. The thought of having to do so turns my stomach."

Cons: "The first class accommodation isn't as good as advertised. The seat is supposed to completely recline allowing you to sleep. Unfortunately if you're 6 foot or taller there isn't enough room. Other airlines like Emirates gives you more room in their business class so it's disappointing to see United 1st class is so cramped. The screens for the onboard entertainment system in first class are lower quality then those used in coach."

Agents at desk in JFK were rude. There was another Delta employee also on the shuttle who was the only one who seemed to show concern. He alerted the driver, called the boarding gate and led me to it."

When it came time to board the international flight, they screwed up our boarding passes and made us wait until the end to board. We were zone 1, priority boarding. The tv screens were very small and so glitchy I stopped watching my movie halfway through. The connector flight from philly to NYC was much more comfortable and had beautiful screens."

A few hours later i was hungry and tried to buy some food but the cabin crew just gave my another breakfast item. The flight arrived on time, and the luggage was delivered a few minutes after I arrived at the baggage area."

Cons: "they charge 300$ extra for a 14 year old child and dont give any service for the payment, they say it is to bring the child on and off the plane even though he can travel alone and has done it many times with other air lines. drive the parents uo the wall, make them wait endless time, and then they comlaine that thay have no time tofor the child and leave him standing with out even letting him to seat with the other air lines a child of 12 can travel alone."

The crew gave no explanation for the switch in aircraft, and no apology either."

I could not initially get hold of Just fly.com. when I did, they said I had to check in through American Airlines. That didn't work initially either. After getting a new trip number I was able to check in but our seats were changed and it was a red eye. When trying to get seats I noticed there are very few seats left. The seats I had selected were now open and would coat another $120 plus. I couldn't even get those. We wound up with some exit seats which seemed fine until my wife couldn't recline her seat. It was uncomfortable for both of us because she had to use my legs to prop hers onto. Im still on vacation so I haven't contacted American for a refund yet."

(Is it me or do you want to start a revolution when you are just on the other side of the curtain where those on the other side are being served champagne, have large tv screens and fully reclining sleeper beds?). The food mediocre/unremarkable but heh, it's an airplane , the crew ok but uniforms dated and drab. The real letdown was the entertainment system. Or I shoudld say lack thereof. I was psyched that the seat was designated as having a charger. Yeah, if I'm carrying my car charger with me! Yikes!!! So, strike one. Then, NO ON DEMAND service of any kind, since this plane is not equipped with wifi, which would have given us the ability to watch on an iPad or other device. Strike two. And THEN, when you think, no this can't get worse, there are a strong of three 2ND RATE movies shown back to back. No choice, no watch when you want, in other words, no ON DEMAND. Oh, and did I mention the really really REALLY old pull-out remote control with a credit card phone on the flip side? STRIKE THREE! This was a Finnair booking through Kayak, but on an American Airlines code share. The gate at JFK was changed no less than 4 times, the final time, one hour before departure, from Gate 14 to Gate 45. Good thing I had left myself plenty of extra time! The check-in process at Finnair counter no less than a nightmare. Stood in line for 30 minutes, then told we had to go to "Line 1" and use one of the kiosks to print our boarding passes (we checked in online but were not given phone-board passes) and check our bags. This area was nothing short of pandemonium with agents yelling at us to form straight lines. Many of the kiosks were not working not working and there were not enough agents to help the throngs."

Cons: "I was lead to believe I was booking a flight on lufthansa. It turned out it was United in a confirmation email a few weeks following the purchase. Then 24 hours prior to boarding, a notification comes in that I am flying Air Brussels. This leaves me with confusion - which airport terminal to go to, where to check in, who to call, etc. When I finally arrive to the airport at JFK, I find there is no Air Brussels Check in and that I need to go to United. But United no longer operates out of JFK, so I was finally directed to the British Airways terminal to check in with Eurowings. The flight was supposedly a Eurowings flight in collaboration with Lufthansa and United but operated by Brussels Airlines. I’ve never before experienced this miscommunication and confusion with one single flight, especially in my home country. When I booked the flight, it was quite clear it was Lufthansa and I paid Lufthansa prices. I was very disappointed overall with the experience leading me up to boarding time and had I known it was not a Lufthansa plane and crew, I would not have booked it. I hope you can I understand my frustration as this was poorly communicated and manasged and was quite misleading from the start. I would appreciate some compensation or recognition for the confusion as I will no longer be using Kayak or third party booking sites due to the way this was handled. I am a loyal Kayak user, but this was just too much and nothing like I’ve ever experienced before."

The plane was sitting there with the door closed. After that, I was put on the next available flight which was already delayed more than 2 hours. That delay extended even longer and was eventually cancelled due to weather. United CS reps were not willing to address passenger concerns. They closed the CS area in some portions of the airport forcing everyone to a very limited number of reps. I ended up having to rent a car and spending the first 5 hours of my birthday driving home. I should have been able to make my connecting flight and would have avoided the entire mess. Instead, I am out of my ticket price plus the additional cost of renting a car since my changed flight was cancelled due to weather not the gate assignment changes that originally caused me to miss the connection. What should have been a brief 4-5 hour trip ended up being almost a 20 hour day....United absolutely SUCKS!"

Just the lack of help. Air conditioner on plane was off, so even ten minutes of smell bathrm, is just too much when air conditioning is off. I got very congested and had to use the inhaler, after a couple of sneezes due to environmental allergies. On top of that, cleaning people got on to clean w chemicals, only to affect me some more. Now I stuffed up, feel horrible, nite was bad with asthma n allergies that could have been avoided."

My only complaint is that we flew a red eye, departing SFO at 10:50pm arriving at ORD at 5am and the seats were so hard and uncomfortable it was impossible to sleep, which made our busy first day in Illinois quite miserable. I'm not the kind of person who is generally picky about seats or how comfortable cars and things are, but these seats were so bad it really was pretty miserable and it effected the quality of our trip since we were only in Illinois for two days before our return flight. We would be hesitant to fly United again due to the seat quality. I would not be as hesitant for shorter flights or daytime flights, never again on the red eye though."
