Pros: "Don't cheap out on your flights to Japan because this ANA flight from New York/JFK to Haneda was the correct way to go. Japanese-style hospitality, respect and quality of service (which is beyond the heavens) shows from check-in to landing (and even post-landing.) The in-flight meals, inspired by Japanese recipes of the Japanese destination or origin, were finely made - that goes even for Economy Class. When there was a delay that was ultimately out of their control, they made things right with post-landing arrangements. Never take any other country's airline when flying into Japan - always always ALWAYS take ANA whenever you can. (Avoid codeshares, too!!)"

I was told no because the flight was completely booked. I arrived three hours early and checked in online so I could get a better seat and they still said no. No one was able to help me. The flight was delayed over an hour and there was no apology. I always fly Philippine Airlines because IV always been really pleased with the service. This past flight makes me question that decision going forward."

The leg room is very limited, unless it is an empty flight. The red wine was perhaps the worst I have ever had. AND the wifi that was available for purchase was 40 USD for only 150 mb of data which is absolutely ridiculous."

Cons: "13 hour delay, would not let us go home, would not cancel the flight, instead pushed the boarding time back one hour every hour starting at 4am. Flight was supposed to leave JFK by 11:55pm, we left at 1pm the following day. It wasn't solely due to the weather (we expected a slight delay), but in the morning, plenty of other flights were running regularly, while there were no updates. No one that cared, all the staff just told us it wasn't their fault. (Which is true to an extent), but all so mentioned that they were tired too, and they're exhausted too, which made many people angrier. They deflected a lot of statements."

We waited 2 hours in the plane for 4 people who were late for the flight, then the cargo handlers didn't show up. We left at 5am instead of 3am. The flight attendants didn't seem to know why we weren't leaving. Two short announcements were made in 2 hours that didn't explain properly why we sat there so long. The food was wretched. The flight attendants were pleasant but the captain and the purser's announcements were hard to understand with poor English."
