Flights from New York: the best tips from KAYAK users' own experiences

Insights shared by verified travelers who flew from New York to anywhere
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Jun 2026
JFK was a convenient airport to fly out of if you arrive for an early flight. Download all your media ahead of time. don't buy the internet in-flight if you don't have to.
NicoleFlew with Delta-Jun 2026
Terminal has great options for food. Lots of seating and charging stations. If checking luggage and already paid online just drop them at the curbside and continue to the check point.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2026
Take a morning flight. Less chance of delay
SarahFlew with Delta-Jun 2026
Delta had a very organized boarding process which I appreciated. The construction on the way to JFK meant my Uber had to detour through some residential areas which was annoying. I would have used the subway and AirTrain if I hadn't been traveling with my cat.
CourtneyFlew with Delta-Jul 2026
Delta, Delta, Delta. JFK has first priority to NYC's airspace, so if weather is dicey, go out of there versus LGA. Due to limited airspace, LGA is more likely to cancel flights which is outside of Delta or other airlines' control.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Jun 2026
Expect to leave for JFK 3 hrs prior to flight if traveling by car from Upper West Side. You will want to arrive 1.5 H prior to departure
JeanieFlew with Alaska Airlines-Jun 2026
Bring your own food and entertainment. The buy-on-board program may require advance ordering, and it can be expensive. Also, the on-board wifi may not work.
Verified travelerFlew with SWISS-Jun 2026
Check the recline of your seat and the seat in front of you to make sure you don’t get crushed/crush anyone.
Verified travelerFlew with Frontier-Jul 2026
If you on a budget flight frontier. Don’t bring anything other than a personal bag. Or you will get charged for everything.

Verified travelerFlew with JetBlue-Aug 2026
Check slays and cancellations of the airlines you are booking
Verified travelerFlew with ITA Airways-Aug 2026
Book your bags ahead of time. The fees post-booking are absurd
MitchellFlew with United Airlines-Apr 2026
security access line for Premier access was very reasonable, process was less than 10-15 minutes. Leave time for dropping off a rental car - is a bit of a walk and then AirTrain transfer due to the current construction - so allow time for less stress. take advantage of the tables in the boarding area for charging devices or doing work.
MelissaFlew with Delta-Mar 2026
Arrive timely at the NY airport. Be courteous and patient. Understand the temp difference and dress in layers so you can be comfortable once you arrive.
SoosnataFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2026
Be self sufficient and carry some dry nuts and fruits on hand for such last minute disruptions especially one is diabetic or have other dependencies.
ShmuliFlew with Spirit Airlines-Apr 2026
There's a play area for kids in Newark Airport, near B40-B50 gates
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Mar 2026
This flight is very convenient, it should be noted that the security at Newark seems quite understaffed and not the most efficient so passing through it will always take at least half an hour.
SashaFlew with United Airlines-Mar 2026
There was a pretty long line at the Terminal A Standard TSA check however it moved really quickly and I was able to get done in 10 minutes
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-May 2026
Make sure you have at least 2-3 hours of layover if you have a connecting flight. Avoid JFK terminal 1 as it is always chaotic.
Verified travelerFlew with Aer Lingus-Apr 2026
Make sure to double and triple check that the flight you book actually exists before going to the airport.
Verified travelerFlew with ANA-Apr 2026
be prepared for the long flight. wear comfortable clothes and shoes and be prepared for drastic changes in weather
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit Airlines-Apr 2026
Getting through TSA wasn’t too bad; about 1/2 hour. Just arrive early enough and be patient.
CharlesFlew with Spirit Airlines-Apr 2026
Know the Spirit Airlines rules on baggage before getting to the airport. Avoid paying a fee.

Verified travelerFlew with LATAM Airlines-Mar 2026
Be accurate with your luggage's size and weight
OlgaFlew with JetBlue-May 2026
Here’s the part that confused me the most. JetBlue flies only from terminal 5. Delta (at least) arrives in terminal 4. Be aware that there is a lot of walking to get out of terminal 4, then you board the sky train, then you walk more, and finally get to terminal 5. There, surprise! You have to go through security again. At JFK, some security lines are ridiculously long and slow. It’s very annoying that transit passengers must go through that again when moving between terminals. One more thing related to terminal 5 where JetBlue flies - there is absolutely nowhere to sit and almost nothing to eat before going through security. The security lines were better organized though and it didn’t take that long.
KathleenFlew with American Airlines-Jan 2026
LaGuardia is the most convenient/fastest from Midtown Manhattan. If taking a taxi, check the map ahead of time to spot traffic delays — taxi drivers aren’t going to do that and you can direct them to alternate routes to avoid a traffic jam.
AmyFlew with American Airlines-Feb 2026
Use the AA app and bring your own g-free snacks. Love that most all your airplanes have the bendable headrest, saves space from packing a pillow so thanks for that!
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit Airlines-Dec 2025
They said the plane was full but ended up having a spare seat, so that was a nice surprise. Bring snacks as they charge for refreshments
KathleenFlew with Alaska Airlines-Feb 2026
allow plenty of time to get to the airport and through security. Take the plane train if you can. Terminal eight has good food options
ColleenFlew with United Airlines-Jan 2026
Make sure to get to the airport with plenty of time to go through security. The line was long but moved pretty fast
ChrisFlew with Spirit Airlines-Feb 2026
Flying spirit is great. Key is flying out of Laguardia. It has its own terminal you get through quite fast.
BeverlyFlew with JetBlue-Dec 2025
Wear support socks which helps when you sit for a long time.
KatarinaFlew with Alaska Airlines-Feb 2026
The rail train from the rental car drop off place to the Alaska terminal can take sometimes 20 minutes if you have to wait for a train because they're doing construction. Sometimes it only takes me 5-10 minutes but be prepared.
EllenFlew with Hawaiian Airlines-Dec 2025
Check your flights a few weeks before your trip and keep checking to see if times have changed, and if you need to adjust your layovers. Our flight went from 10am to 8:30am. We could have missed it.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Dec 2025
Advance seat selection. Lots of kids on the flight and it’s hard to find seats together as a family
Verified travelerFlew with Scandinavian Airlines-Jan 2026
From Newark airport I had a tight 55min connection which I was late for. Book longer connections if possible.
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Dec 2025
Very little room for carry on (40 bags). Chances are high that you’ll be made to check bag.
puraviFlew with Singapore Airlines-Dec 2025

Verified travelerFlew with Lufthansa-Jun 2025
Wearing comfortable clothing is really important. ( it’s a long flight)
EdmondFlew with Lufthansa-Jul 2025
The Airtrain service is now under construction, so one rail is closed. So it would be better to get to the airport by not using the train...

LaGuardia has gotten so much better since the renovation. And its convenience to Manhattan is second to none. Terminal A had a super short security line too, which was nice
Verified travelerFlew with British Airways-Apr 2025

Verified travelerFlew with Delta-Mar 2025
Wear something warm on the plane they keep it cool
DavidFlew with JetBlue-Jan 2025
JetBlue leaves from JFK which can be a plus or minus depending on your plans in New York. Arrive early and check out the TWA hotel—with a great public lounge, bar, and food court in the restored 1960’s Eero Saarinen-designed building outside of terminal 5. The AirTran accepts OMNY tap to pay with your phone or credit card, take it to Jamaica station to transfer to the LIRR to go to Penn Station in Manhattan or check the MTA TrainTime app for schedules and tickets for other destinations.
Verified travelerFlew with Frontier-Feb 2025
Get to the airport early. Miami is a popular destination and it’s better to be at the gate early.
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Jan 2025
It’s a long flight. Find the most comfortable travel pillow it helps a lot.
AracelyFlew with Spirit Airlines-Dec 2024
Bring snacks and your own water bottle to stay hydrated.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Feb 2025
My flight was not delayed, but my family had a flight earlier in the week that was, by 5 hours. My daughter says she'll never book a late afternoon flight as they seem most likely to be delayed. I personally like the timing and usually they cost less. Also, get on the plan with fully charged devices or a non-electronic form on entertainment.
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit Airlines-Jan 2025
You don't need to be there that early, an hour earlier than the departure for a local airport is fine.
DavidFlew with Singapore Airlines-Feb 2025
Bring a mattress pad with you if you plan on sleeping in business class.
ScottFlew with United Airlines-Jan 2025
Long walk / train to rental counter Newark from manhattan is faster than jfk
Verified travelerFlew with Austrian Airlines-Jan 2025
For families, don’t expect your strollers to arrive at the airplane’s door.
Verified travelerFlew with American Airlines-Jan 2025
Be there on time it really need two hours for security checkups
KishoreFlew with ITA Airways-Dec 2024
Be prepared for confusion. The Delta boarding pass you get is actually not usable at JFK. You have to go to the ITA desk and get a paper ticket. Again something Delta doesn’t tell you. Poorly managed partnership
deepakFlew with Spirit Airlines-Dec 2024
Do not check in baggage and keep everything in carry on as much as possible. Also this is a cheap flight with cheap service so expect anything to happen
StephenFlew with United Airlines-Jan 2025
Don't bring a carry on roller bag. It won't fit. They will gate check it. It will take forever.
KymberleeFlew with Delta-Oct 2024
Just make sure you get to the airport early because you never know with traffic or what situations may happen. I always fly Delta so I can’t speak on other airlines. TSA pre check is always a plus in my book.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Sep 2024
Buy something in the airport to eat before boarding as its a long flight and the snacks are not enough unless you plan to sleep the whole ride.
MaryFlew with American Airlines-Sep 2024
Bring a charging cable for your devices and I always wear compression stocking on flights that are 2 hours or more long.
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit Airlines-Sep 2024
Consider one of the non-economy airlines (eg Delta, American) for a more comfortable flight and travel experience.
Verified travelerFlew with Air Canada-Sep 2024
Check-in online first and everything is going to be fast!
Verified travelerFlew with Qantas Airways-Nov 2024
there was an instance where a non speaking couple didnt know when to board. people cut in front of them and the crew didnt respond. it would be nice if there were translators available to assist when needed. i get that you want people on board as quickly as possible. sometimes, it's like herding cats. but do assist the people who dont understand the language.
Verified travelerFlew with Emirates-Sep 2024
Newark is definitely my favorite airport in the area but terminal B does not have TSA precheck line. Going through security was very chaotic almost like JFK. Maybe next time I will try a different airline.
MichaelFlew with American Airlines-Oct 2024
Book a month or more in advance to avoid paying more than going to South America. Don’t expect your checked bag quickly. They’ve been doing construction for literally years.
JulieFlew with Alaska Airlines-Oct 2024
Leave early. JFK can be messy. I couldn’t find healthy food choices so eat before you arrive.
Verified travelerFlew with Qantas Airways-Oct 2024
Bring plenty of books podcasts and music to read or listen to cause it’s a long flight
ReganFlew with American Airlines-Sep 2024
You don't have to be at the airport 3 hours in advance as crowds are minimal.
HartajFlew with Delta-Nov 2024
Arrive a little early. Gates are far from security due to smaller planes.
SanjayFlew with Lufthansa-Sep 2024
Golden rule for connecting flights in & out of Europe. Minimum 3 hour layover.
AnastasiaFlew with Lufthansa-Sep 2024
Keep plenty of time for security searches, they are unpredictable.
PartinFlew with Austrian Airlines-Nov 2024
Make sure to leave plenty of room for layovers
Verified travelerFlew with Emirates-Nov 2024
Pack snacks in case they’re only given dinner
patrickFlew with French Bee-Sep 2024
Make a plan for parking and give yourself time to park, the long-term lots are a dystopian hellscape, mixed with an outtake from the Sopranos. My GPS had trouble navigating all the access roads and elevated roads.
CarolynFlew with Delta-Oct 2024
Get there early! I have TSA and CLEAR and security still took forever.
MichaelFlew with Delta-Oct 2024
Get to the airport early. Queues in JFK are terrible
Verified travelerFlew with Japan Airlines-Aug 2024
Make sure if you have any type of food allergies you let them know ahead of time instead of during your flight. The airline will do their best to accommodate your allergies and they take them very seriously. Economy wasn’t to bad on the way there I would recommend sitting in and exit row if you’re looking for leg room and it also helps to be close to the bathrooms.
RolandoFlew with British Airways-Jun 2024
Purchase one of the memory foam pillows you will not regret it. They provide one for you but it’s fairly small. Try to keep your personal item small so that you have as much room as possible for your legs.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Jun 2024
Make sure to get food before you get to the airport. Bring chargers for ur phone or your technological device.
Verified travelerFlew with Ethiopian Air-Aug 2024
Was really easy , make sure only to take out any computer device out your bag for tsa control.
Maria AlejandraFlew with Frontier-Aug 2024
Buy some food and beverage for that 4 hours trip. And download some movies in Netflix

jacquelineFlew with ITA Airways-Aug 2024
bring comfy clothes and a good neck pillow
HashemFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2024
I don’t think any airline has the best boarding. Maybe American Airlines has the most comfortable and up-to-date airplanes. Always go super early to any airport leave an apple AirTag in your bag always ask Agent if your chair and or seat will be properly working
JuliaFlew with United Airlines-Jun 2024
If you are flying out of Terminal B, give yourself plenty of time. There was only one security line for gates 60- and up. Took almost an hour to clear security.
Verified travelerFlew with Turkish Airlines-Aug 2024
Look for business class separate line, it’s a little farther than the regular check in line. You may miss if not paying attention
RobertFlew with American Airlines-Jul 2024
Take later flight in evening so passengers more tir e and sleeping. Get your own food before flight.
SheenaFlew with Southwest-Jun 2024

HartajFlew with United Airlines-Jul 2024
Flights tend to be full. Get to gate early.
DerrickFlew with JetBlue-Aug 2024
Lots of construction around JFK airport, leave early.
33Flew with Delta-Aug 2024
Get the insurance in case flight gets cancelled.
BarbFlew with Delta-Jun 2024
I booked into JFK due to cost. However, I wouldn’t do it again due to all the construction in the area and the incredibly long B concourse for Delta. We were at the very last gate.
Verified travelerFlew with Spirit Airlines-Apr 2024
Spirit Airlines is a good and safe, no frills airline. It offers transport for a very cheap fare rate. This is perfect for travelers who can fit all their stuff in a personal sized bag of 18x14x8. Only 1 bag is allowed. If intending to bring a luggage, keep in mind that a prepaid checked in baggage of 40 pounds ($55-60 each way) is cheaper than a prepaid carry on, and it is cheapest when bought together with the fare ticket. Keep also in mind that seats do not recline, so if that is something you need to have especially on longer flights, Spirit airlines isn't for you. So if you just need a no frill, no baggage airfare that transports you from one point to another, Spirit is a reliable, safe and affordable airline to get.
Verified travelerFlew with Air Canada-Mar 2024
The Newark international airport was a breeze! Through bag check and to my gate in less than 10min! Make sure you bring your own food onto the plane, otherwise you are stuck buying from their bistro menu. Food vendors seem quite limited at the terminal.
PaulFlew with British Airways-Apr 2024
Bring your own wired headphones and two pin 3.5mm adapter if you want a decent sound experience from the in flight entertainment. If you're vegetarian, there will be an option in flight - no need to order through your booking before the trip.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Mar 2024
Bring an iPad with lots of shows downloaded. The terminal at jfk is nice and small, easy to go thru security. Palm Springs airport is amazing. You step out and feel like you’re on vacation.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-May 2024
Bring a lot of entertainment or sleep through it. Make sure you get up and walk at least once but preferably up to 3 times to avoid leg cramps.
PanayotesFlew with Air Canada-Apr 2024
Turkish Has a very generous luggage policy and excellent food. LaGuardia was pretty impressive in terms of its modern facilities and the speed of going through security.
EvanFlew with Spirit Airlines-Mar 2024
Make sure you know the baggage allowances for your ticket. Spirit strongly enforced baggage rules. Result is faster boarding times and more room in the overhead compartments
LionelFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2024
To buy food in advance and put in in the bags to account for plane delays. I also recommend to activate plane information updates on the phone.
CocoFlew with Singapore Airlines-May 2024
please dress comfortable ... even if you have to put on your pj , bring your favorite snacks wear compression socks
FreddyFlew with JetBlue-May 2024
Get to JFK with plenty of time. Be ready for the all crazyness NYC offers 🤗
Verified travelerFlew with Air Canada-Mar 2024
Boarding is ok with Air Canada, though their staff needs training to be efficient without being passive aggressive. They also repeat their announcements too often, over and over again. Not pleasant. You can be very efficient with a bit of class. Getting the Travelers nervous doesn't help anyone. MIA is a great airport for departures as the terminal entrance has specific doors for each Gate Sector. Example: if your Gate is G4, There's a drop off door for G. Less walking, less seeking, excellent system for Drop Off of passengers
Verified travelerFlew with Aer Lingus-Apr 2024
JFK is an amazing airport, they have TSA precheck which was not offered when I flew Aer Lingus/Newark. The TSA precheck line took a long time, they only had 2 machines and a few agents working. Other than that Newark was as any other airport, easy bag check in process and gate seating area was clean and comfortable.
AmranulFlew with Delta-Apr 2024
If you have a child who is under two years old or older, make sure they have seat right next to you otherwise they will make you sit far from them
Verified travelerFlew with Kenya Airways-May 2024
Again, be at the gate early enough for a comfortable check in. Also must get a Kenya Airways boarding pass since other boarding passes are not recognized.
MichaelFlew with American Airlines-Apr 2024
Book a month in advance or you’ll be paying rates that could get you to a foreign country.
TommyFlew with American Airlines-May 2024
Eat and use the rest room before flight and try not to leave your seat at all.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-May 2024
The airport food was limited and expensive. Best to bring a sandwich from outside…
SamanthaFlew with American Airlines-Mar 2024
Leave enough time to get to the airport and be ready for delays
Verified travelerFlew with United Airlines-Apr 2024
Early check in online, get on time for the flight
VaitsaFlew with British Airways-Apr 2024
Be early and pay attention to gate changes.
Verified travelerFlew with Hawaiian Airlines-Mar 2024
Bring your own food for snacks because it’s crazy expensive at the airport and the airline doesn’t give that much food for such a long flight.
RichardFlew with JetBlue-May 2024
Don’t make the mistake I made and pay for a second checked bag. They will check your carry-on for free at the gate.
MasakoFlew with Alaska Airlines-Apr 2024
Newark has few food options so pack something if you can. It’s not worth getting food at Newark.
Verified travelerFlew with Delta-Apr 2024
Don’t sit next to the bathroom. It wreaks!
JeffreyFlew with United Airlines-Feb 2024
If you do not have Precheck then get there early since the line can be very long. If you have trouble walking get a wheelchair or find on the carts going thru the terminal. It is a long way to the furthest gates.
Verified travelerFlew with Alaska Airlines-Feb 2024
Allow time for TSA (I had) or figure out the priority boarding (I didn't but will look into it for future flights), I thought they were pretty inefficient. A guy behind me was freaking out because he was going to miss his flight and a bunch of us let him cut the line in hopes he could make it.
NicholasFlew with JetBlue-Feb 2024
Don’t forget to bring your headphones for the tv.

We were delayed 2 hours because of a broken seat. Other than that it was a very nice flight.

Delta was fine though my flight was delayed 4 hours into LGA and my return into ORD involved a taxi of 1+ hour to the gate

an he late. super rude gate agent, to every person. spoke down at people.

One of the restrooms didn’t work. The ones that did never got replenished. Flight attendant just sitting there on their phone. No notification that the bathroom was broken so long lines. Apathetic crew.

Both of my flights to and from JFK experienced significant delays. Most notably, my first flight was delayed by six hours due to crew members being affected by delays on a previous flight. While I understand that disruptions can occur, Delta’s staffing and operational planning should include sufficient contingency measures to handle situations like this rather than placing the full burden of those delays on customers. Additionally, the $12 meal voucher offered as compensation was inadequate, particularly given the high cost of food and beverages at the airport. Considering the length of the delay and the substantial inconvenience caused, I believe more meaningful compensation would have been appropriate.

While it wasn't the crew's fault, it was a frustrating flight. We sat on the runway for 2+ hours. Both of the flight attendants were excellent and did a great job checking on the passengers. The pilot did keep us informed about the wait. I appreciate the crew apologizing for LaGuardia airport's backup.

It was strange that the flight attendant was so adamant about having phones turned to airplane mode that he was calling out names from networks shown and waiting until they were all gone. I've never experienced that before, and after already working through an hour+ delay, it felt tone deaf. I take dozens of flights per year and have never experienced anything similar.

Poor communication, we sat on the plane for an hour before pushing back. They were oversold and with a full plane kept looking for someone to step off for someone else to board. So after an hour wait at the gate we missed our departure window and proceeded to spend an additional hour on the tarmac waiting for a refiled flight plan according to the pilots. Occasional updates, somewhat insensitive crew to passengers needing to use the lavatory (it was 2 hrs beyond what anyone expected). Overall just poor execution...especially when the flight was listed as "arriving early" up until about 30 minutes past our departure time.

The Columbus-based WestJet crews that cover Delta commuter flights between LGA and CMH are excellent - this team included. Our flight today landed 40 minutes early, which is unheard of when flying out of LaGuardia. I've flown with the same crew in more challenging conditions, and they always rise to the occasion with helpful communication to the passengers so that we may manage expectations.

We were skipped when the snack cart passed and then the attendant said we weren’t . I am disabled and was in a row toward the back of the plane which was very difficult for me to navigate. Disabled people should not be forced to walk the plank.

Check in was chaotic with only one counter for business class and first class. The luggage conveyor belt at JFK airport was broken so the flight departure was delayed which made the flight stressful as I had a tight connection. Although the captain said they could make up the delay, they didn’t do so.

I had a good time. However, I paid for the wifi and it was in and out the whole flight.

3 hour delay…. Nearly 2 hours sitting on tarmac. Do better, United. Or at least have the sense to not say “we hope you enjoyed your flight with us” upon disembarking.

Everything except the food and entertainment. It was a great experience though

Flight was delayed from 35 minute delayed aircraft arrival to 90 minute delay causing us to miss international connecting flight on SWISS resulting in 16 hour delay to reach detonation causing significant angst, monetary loss and discomfort. SWISS transfer desk and staff was like robots not willing to help at all.

Best part: It’s operated by All Nippon Airways. It’s quite literally comfortable, reliable and respected from boarding to landing each and every time. It’s perfection without extremity in lavishness — it’s how flying should always be!

Delays!!! Serious delays. I was told by a member of staff in LGA that I would miss my DEN to LAX flight connection, so I was put on a later flight. Due to delays I would have been able to have made my original flight, where I was sat in business class - seat 1A: I was put on my original flight but bumped from business - 1A to economy 33C. I want a refund for paying business class but only flying economy

The plane was delayed coming in and on the tarmac. I was coming from another flight so it made for a very long day. The stewardess kept trying to slam the overhead bins closed and I was worried that she had damaged my new luggage. They ran out of snacks and lccdsddd me a hummus box which was nice. It took them a very long time to pick up the garbage so I could not go to the washroom and had little time. To prepare for disbarment. The TV system was hard to control from the armrest and picture wasn’t clear. The crew did apologize several times for the lateness. It took the Denver airport an unusually long time to de-ice the plane.

Their app did not recognize my Aeroplan frequent flyer number and would not allow me access to my boarding card. Ground staff was readily available at the airport to print it out to me.

Excellent as always. Service was excellent and fully bilingual. Cannot complain .Will travel again. Always have and will continue. Highly recommended.

DCA-LAX No screen on a 5 hour flight (almost) no food for sale on a 5 hour flight (practically) no wifi coverage or speed on a 5 hour flight I should have gotten my money back, shame on American

A crew member's attitude towards a couple passengers who couldn't speak English was rude. Just because they didn't understand what the passenger said, they were not given any snack.

The entire process could’ve been better. Delayed multiple times and American lied and said it was due to Weather in New York, even though other flights were taking off the entire time (including other American Airlines flights)

There were alot of delays without any information. First, my original flight was overbooked so I volunteered to stay back. The layover was hell, I sat in the airport for 4 hours. I was highly disappointed because no one was around to provide answers.

Great. Clean. Seats comfortable. Food was free. Had new release movies.

The boarding crew was very helpful with a little special problem I had. The inflight crew - so-so.

They kept us on the tarmac for 6 hours after already delaying our flight by 2 hours. No one had any answers. They sent our gate checked stroller to baggage claim instead of giving it back at the gate.

There was a big delay and I missed my connection flight

Crew and agents misguiding on tight connections, and lack of connecting crew looking for inbound planes. A very avoidable missed connection as a result.

I don’t like the music section but I believe it was a cost decision. I changed my flight last minute due to work issues and had to sit way in the back. The seats were way closer together than I would have preferred.

JFK is the worst airport and JetBlue is the worst airline

Very poor help no one answering a question regarding seating. Very rude staff. They don’t care, as if it’s not part of their job. Flight was delayed for no good reason and no apologies given.

A more comfortable seat. Padding would be really helpful but I've read the airlines don't want customers to be satisfied with economy seats.

When I booked, I included my checked luggage and when the bill was sent there was no record of this. Its was costly since I am from Trinidad amd Tobago. Exchange rate over seven dollars to one US dollar.

Everything was good except checking bags . I had paid for two bags but it didn’t show so we had to do it again while people waited and we were struggling to get to our flight

Plane was delayed multiple times. I would like to request a refund. Was due to arrive Thursday evening ended up arriving Friday morning.

The crew and the pilots. The pilots were amazing. The landing in Cancun was excellent.

The security line at JFK was one of the longest I’ve ever experienced - probably 45 minutes. I don’t know if JetBlue has control over it, but it detracted from the overall experience. Entertainment had good options, but the volume control was a bit small to tap on and the screen had a fair amount of interference blips. Clearer picture would have been better.

I liked the entertainment on JetBlue, the service from JFK to JAX was terrible at best

I usually dont fly JeTBlue and I dont think I will ever do it again. The flight was delayed fee time, nobody was giving us any info at at the airport, gate changing, the slowest and poorly organized boarding ever, rude staff.. huh

Flight was delayed but it was very smooth. Crew was very nice. Seats are uncomfortable but ok.

The crew acted like they had never done this and kept barking passive aggressive orders at people. + the security line + the delay + sitting on the tarmac for 2 hours + none of the apps or signage updating with correct times

The worst. They don’t follow procedure for boarding per group. Flight got delayed for no understandably reasons, they changed our destination from PR to Miami, left us inside a plane for more than 8 hours, then cancelled flight in Miami leaving us stranded. Poorly managed re-accommodation for a new flight and overnight stay so I have to spend in a new ticket and my own hotel room to been able to get to my office next day. Lost 2 days of work and as a doctor, patients loosing their appointments. to other flights and besides

I was 2 hr arrive in the airport and 45 min in the line . After take to my turn . The agent tell me I’m later . I can not board . So my vacation was going to the floor . Just for their bad customer service agent in the airline

Since they are a budget airline, I wasn’t expecting too much but they did some things well. They were on time, the plane was clean, boarding was fairly straightforward and the staff was cheerful and friendly. The only downside was comfort. The seats were fairly hard and after a 2 hour flight your rear end is not feeling so great. Maybe a little more cushion in the seats, Frontier!

The flight left over two hours late. They charged me $180 to bring a carry on. There was an error with the spelling of my name and Frontair agent lied that I would need to pay $200 for her to fix the spelling, and pressured me that if I don't do it quick I would lose the flight. I called back and another agent said it costs $75 to fix. All in all, this company is a complete scam.

I took my first and last flight with FRONTIER. The seats are not able to be reclined so it’s not a very comfortable experience when you take a flight of 3 hours or longer. You must pay for your luggage either carry on or check in, so taking all this in consideration at the end what you think you’re saving your paying in services that should be included. Not a beverage in sight. . You’re seriously better off getting on a proper airline such as Delta, AA, United, etc.

They never updated the boarding pass on their apps to show their delay

Flight was a little late taking off. Seats are too upright, no ports to charge devices, no wifi, no entertainment

Frontier system that tracts what you’ve paid for is horrible. I brought bags, tried to upgrade the weight of bag. Did it via the text service on their site. Got to the airport and they had no idea what was going on. Ended up paying way more than I was supposed to
