Cons: Excellent experience during covid times.
Pros: Had a great professional crew even the pilot walked through the plane to answer questions
Cons: Nothing delta returns to the top
Pros: Felt safe withe the cleanest of the plane
Pros: The staff at Delta are always friendly and helpful and they were able to squeeze me onto a very full flight.
Pros: Calm and safe, just like I like it.
Pros: The entertainment
Cons: Departure times
Cons: Having food & being on time would’ve been nice?
Pros: The crew was light spirited. Took the angst out of the long stressful wait
Cons: Punctuality. Flight was 2 hours late
Pros: I like the entertainment on Delta.
Cons: No air conditioning in the plane and we had to sit on the runway for 25-30 minutes, very uncomfortable and we weren’t kept up on what was going on. Crew acted like they didn’t want to be there
Pros: Flight attendant
Cons: Bathrooms were filthy
Cons: There was huge issues with our original plane and the lady at the desk was horrible with communication to all the passengers waiting for the flight updates. The one time I finally asked her if there was any updates, after almost 1.5 hours of delay and waiting, she took a very rude and snappy tone.
Pros: Crew was excellent. Friendly and always with a smile.
Cons: The headphones distort the sound too much. You miss half the dialogue if you are using the Delta headphones.
Pros: Flight from Detroit to Phoenix had larger plane and more entertainment
Cons: Seats are so narrow. I barely made connecting flight in Detroit and there was no transportation to the next terminal. You’re on your own getting there and I almost didn’t make it. Both Detroit and Phoenix have nothing but wheelchairs and people pushing? Maybe we Should get some rickshaws?!
Pros: I have flown with Delta for a number of trips now. I seem to receive middle seat allocations even with the freqent flyers partnership with Virgin Velosity program shared.
Cons: My seat allocation.
Cons: Crew at the gate made us return to get our immigration forms without our boarding passes. This forced us to miss the connecting flight to detroit and delay our arrival by 7 hours. Awful experience.
Cons: Slight delay of flight
Pros: Plane was on-time, that was the only thing nice to say about this flight.
Cons: First, I was charged $100 because my bag was 3 kilos over weight. Second the seats in Comfort Plus were old. The recline was weak and there were no foot rests. For a cheaper flight on American, the seats have those amenities making it easier to sleep. Plus the food was inedible.
Pros: Crew were attentive and the food service schedule was helpful in making the time pass. wonderfully generous pours on the complimentary wine service
Cons: Food was really just gooey goo.
Pros: Really nice flight crew who braved the storm to get us home when everyone else was getting cancelled.
Cons: Flying from New York to Atlanta on business class there was no access to the lounge because I was not flying to Lima on the same day. I bought the whole international business ticket to Peru together, I don't understand why Delta consider my first portion not part of my international ticket!
Pros: The food and the treatment
Pros: Gave information about delay clearly and gently
Pros: Food and entertainment was good
Cons: The bathroom I used was disgusting.
Pros: Boarding was on time; flight departures on time and arrived earlier than expected! Pilot told us exactly what was the status and gave us updates; cabin was well air conditioned; flight attendants were friendly; bags came out very quick! Very nice flight
Cons: The service was horribly they dilate my flight 24 hours and I lose my flight yesterday because from Washington to Atlanta the flight was late and from Atlanta to Tegucigalpa leave early
Pros: Food available for purchase. Entertainment system.
Pros: Boarding was easy
Cons: Plane seats were very small and did not recline. Only one bathroom on plane
Cons: no bed
Pros: Clean plane, friendly staff and timely departure.
Cons: Waiting to get off the plane. Other customers moving too slow
Cons: No entertainment
Pros: Planes were new and nice
Cons: Booked together seats were separate and kept getting emails and alerts we were bumped to standby only to call in and be told it was not the case.
Pros: Flight crew was friendly.
Cons: Flight delays due to maint crew not being onsite for 2 hours. Overbooked flights for both sides of trip
Pros: No food or entertainment on short flight
Pros: The boarding was ok due my on pert on being able to board early. The stewards were nice, friendly and helpful
Cons: The seats were the same size as economy. I was disappointed due to fact I traveling with a larger friend and hoped to be comfortable. So much for that idea. The snacks and monitors were limited on each flight. I felt my prices should have as well. I guess this was a learning experience for me. Now I know there is only 1st class and economy.
Pros: Flights were on time and friendly attendants!
Cons: Left about 2.5 hours late because of a broken seat of all things. Apparently Delta doesn't bother to have maintenance staff on site at the airport.
Pros: Boarding super excellent! Also: Best landing I've ever experienced! Props to the pilot!!
Pros: Good selection of free, in-flight entertainment.
Cons: Our flight was delayed on the runway, but that wasn't the airlines fault.
Pros: On time
Pros: I love the new snack choices! Way to go Delta for offering Kind bars now!! This is awesome.
Cons: Tiny old plane, props blocked my window view, no entertainment system.
Pros: Whereas our flight out from Raleigh to JFK where everything that could possibly go wrong did(late crew, boarding computer problem, mechanical issues with the plane, gate problems, missed connection) this last leg of our trip back was flawless. Everything was on time, and the crew was friendly and attentive. We had exit row seats so the leg room for this 90 minute flight was great compared to our first part (London-Atlanta)
Pros: At least the plane didn't return to the gate and we departed 7 hours late.
Cons: All the delays and gate changes with no explanations and only informed via text message. The weather wasn't even that bad. Missed the connecting flight to Bucharest and part of vacation time.
Pros: On board crew was helpful and polite considwring our circumstances.
Cons: Our flight was delayed 3xs (non weather) they said we would miss our connection (I didn't think we would) THEY rebooked a later flight. Of course we landed in time for our original flight. They refused to let us back on our original flight. Put me in touch w/ the help desk who after talking in circles admitted it was their mistake but he had no authority to help. FINAlly & only because others missed their flight we were given the option to go. Crew misplaced our luggage and sent it on a flight we were never supposed to be on, and the bad experience with delays of hours on end continued coming home. (Mechanimal non weather) WE WILL NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN!
Pros: At least there was a free shuttle to the discounted rate hotel.
Cons: There was not enough time to run to the connecting flight. Was told they could not wait, yet then the plane sat on the runway for 25+ min. Had to get a hotel and rebook the flight. Very poor experience flying Delta.
Pros: Overall i was comfortable. I appreciate that they serve tea & it's not old & bitter tasting.
Cons: we started to board 10 minutes before scheduled take off so we were late.
Pros: On time take off and the fact that we arrived alive.
Cons: Hot meals and inflight entertainment. No even drinks were served.
Pros: Boarding process was efficient.
Cons: The air conditioning was almost non-existent - then we landed at DFW, and it kicked on full blast. I was extremely uncomfortable the entire flight, but it was maddening to know it could have been much better.
Cons: offer coffee at least
Pros: The crew was great!
Pros: Awesome Customer Service
Cons: My reservation through JustFly did not pass along that I’d paid for seat selection, and it brought along an unexpected checked baggage fee.
Pros: Very sociable crew, Appreciated the complementary food & wine
Cons: I t somewhat frustrating to have to go through 2 complete screening checks. I realize that this issue is not American Airlines but rather results from ????
Pros: I was pleased there was entertainment for a short flight.
Cons: My original flight was cancelled and I could only be booked onto one the following day, causing me to miss a good portion of my dear friend's wedding festivities. I am pretty bummed to have paid the amount for a Friday flight only to be able to arrive on Saturday.
Pros: The crew tries.
Cons: Planes are just uncomfortable and the airlines have a monopoly on long distance travel.
Cons: Plane flight got delayed until 6pm from 10:30am. What.
Pros: Attentive crew, generous drinks
Cons: I am not crazy about this plane. I had flat beds, but the ones that face each other in an awkwardly intimate way. Also miss the places to store the things I might need/want on the flight. All I had was the little drawer.
Cons: Actually having a flight to Charlotte. They delayed flight without much warning... actually, they were delaying/cancelling many flights without warning most of the day. Long story short, I had to get a ride to LaGuardia, to catch a different flight. That flight got delayed when boarding
Pros: Excellent beverage service and opportunity to purchase food
Cons: How to connect to AA in flight entertainment. Always takes forever to connect
Cons: Usual uncomfortable seating. Plane was not pulled into a gate. DCA should be an embarrassing operation for American.
Cons: American’s little buses at DCA suck. Why should I have to wait for everyone who gate checked a bag to get to the terminal? Let me walk to the terminal, get more buses, or get more gates.
Pros: We’re able to get a different flight after ours was re-scheduled several times.
Cons: Re-scheduling was later then earlier then later, hard to plan’ Comfort: airlines should have a bill of rights for passengers.
Pros: Their CRJ was very comfortable. More comfortable and modern than what I’ve seen on a lot of Skywest/delta connection flights. Crew was great
Cons: Customer service was bad
Pros: Cookies. Pilot tried to avoid turbulence. Most of staff was nice. Great price.
Cons: I don’t give a — about the rewards credit card they pushed really heavily.
Pros: One plane had comfortable seats, with adjustable headrests.
Cons: The first plane had very uncomfortable seats that do not really lean back and no charging ports for devices. No free WiFi.
Pros: Food, Crew, and entertainment were satisfactory.
Cons: I opted to pay an additional $398 for seats just behind the bulkhead - that is, no seats directly in front of me - so that I could have extra legroom. The legroom was fine, as expected, but passengers were allowed to use that space as a corridor, keeping my wife and me awake all night. We were constantly being expected to move our legs as people passed by. I want my $398 back!
Pros: Boarding went well. The service was good. The seats were pretty solid. I like the 2-4-2 seating on the A-332. AA check-in went very smoothly.
Cons: The touch screens were fairly poor on the entertainment centers. The meals were just OK. The headrests on the seats weren't as supportive as I'd have like on a long flight.
Cons: The spacing between rows, the aisle and size of seats were terrible. I will go back flying British Airways and Lufthansa!!!!!
Pros: Friendly attentive crew
Cons: The only entertainment was streaming movies via your own device. Not the end of the world but most people have come to expect having personal video monitors. Delta is adding them but AA is taking away.
Pros: The flight was on time
Cons: Tiny bathrooms
Pros: Excellent experience despite short weather delay. Outstanding flight crew
Pros: not much, on time, but that is a low standard of something to like
Cons: Crew attitude,
Pros: The flight was great--good food, good service, good entertainment, on time.
Cons: They lost our luggage. Four people traveling together arrived in Phnom Penh, but our luggage didn't. It took almost 2 days to be reunited with our luggage.
Cons: Still waiting to get to the terminal.
Pros: Nothing special
Cons: BWI check-in crew is not friendly, not related to Japan Airline.
Cons: delays were horrible.
Pros: Ensured that the connecting passengers boarded the flight.
Pros: Plenty of overhead storage. Loved USB and AC outlets. Comfortable and expeditious trip.
Cons: Inboard video sound system stunk. Movie audio was inaudible, particularly dialog, and to make matters worse, choosing subtitles obliterated the rest of the audio. Love Cayman but departure gates are crowded and chaotic.
Pros: Boarded too early and left late. Long delay waiting for bus to terminal in DC
Cons: Comfort, timeliness.
Cons: Taking a bus to the Tom Bradley terminal
Cons: Not enough food to feed all passengers and the service was very slow.
Cons: Tight seats, return was late missed connection had to spend the night in Charlottte.
Cons: You lost our bag and our original flight was shrunk. Our seats booted without warning. Late to our conference in Arizona.
Cons: For a customer-based service, I found it disturbing that one of the flight attendants was abrasive to passengers on this flight.
Pros: Crew was friendly and professional.
Pros: The boarding was super fast as well as exiting, WOW!
Pros: Great flight, on time, seat upgrade
Pros: My business class flight
Pros: Flight crew was peofessional
Cons: First flight was delayed. Delay not related to weather. American refused to provide hotel. the provided hotel and meal voucher for a fellow traveler on same flight who missed his connection. I was told he was accommodated because he is priority. When asked how I become priority I was told "he spends more money and flies more often." To me that means as a customer I am not a priority to American Airlines.
Pros: The flight crew were very friendly and helpful and the plane was recently remodeled so the seats were nice.
Cons: In coach you only receive a drink a cookies.
Pros: on time
Cons: cramped, no overhead space due to "backpacks and jackets" on inconsiderate passengers
Cons: Flight delayed
Cons: Long haul airlines across Atlantic charging people for drinks and food on flights !! Best call yourself as cheap budget airlines and stop the pretence . Would be useful if this information was shared at booking plus “drip cost feeding” policy is appalling! Frequent traveller and have never seen such an appalling behaviour on long haul airlines
Pros: When it finally took off the flight itself was smooth.
Cons: Plane was delayed coming in, then we were told we were waiting on catering. Then it became a weather issue. Then we boarded. Weather got worse so they took us off. The second time we boarded and were told we’re waiting on catering who wasn’t on site then had to go through airport security. After 3HOURS , we were asked to leave the plane. For rebounding the next morning with no explanation. The next morning the flight was delayed an additional 3HOURS. We were never given food in all this time of a wait. This became an 18+ hour delay. We definitely missed our connection and they rebooked it.
Pros: Request for supply of earplugs was kindly met. Cabin crew were attentive and friendly. Food was some of the best I have ever eaten in Economy.
Cons: Check-in staff at EWR were abrupt to the point of rudeness. Did not feel valued as a customer.
Pros: Very friendly crew that empathized with the plight of the passengers on board. The poor experiences throughout the journey could have been avoided if United changed it's policies and processes to become more customer focused.
Cons: So many small things add up to an overall poor experience on a flight, and it doesn't seem like United understands this. 1) WiFI was down. 2) Entertainment screens for several of the passengers on board were not working. The poor lady next to me had a broken screen, and combined with the broken WiFi, she literally just sat in her seat looking forward for several hours (after she finished the podcasts on her phone). 3) For a 5-6 hour flight, food (more than just snacks) were available for only about half the passengers on board. Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. It wasn't even possible to purchase it if I wanted to because by the time the crew got to me, they were all out. 4) Baggage space under the seat varies wildly depending on your seat. For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat.
Pros: 1. Super friendly crew 2. Plenty of space in Economy Plus seats
Cons: 1. Very average food 2. Continuous problems with the entertainment system during the whole flight
Pros: Nice quick flight staff great and very helpful!
Cons: Entertainment wasn’t free
Pros: Not much
Cons: Dirty seat, broken screen & headphone socket.
Pros: On time.
Cons: Flight attendants were dis-engaged. No smiles. Not pleasant. RUDE to those wairing for bathroom. Not polite nor particularly helpful. Could not understand pilot at all. No one could dicipher his message. NO emtertainment without extra cost... on 4 1/2 hour flight!! Shame on you United! BOOO. Hardly anyone paid for entertainment. Very boring and hard flight. Will give another airline my $500 next time. Everyone who buys a cross-country ticket should get free entertainment. NO food except one cookie on 4 1/2 hour flight. Are you kidding?? I was starving! A small snack-meal was expected for the high cost we pay for ticket. BOO UNITED. UNTIL UNITED PUTS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMFORT FIRST... I and my family will be flying another airline. Very very disappointed.
Pros: The crew were competent, friendly and helpful. The back of seat entertainment was very good, with a lot of new releases. When the flight was delayed the pilot did come around and speak to passengers, which I appreciated.
Cons: The flight was delayed and we were not given any information about what was going on.
Pros: Decent flight, can’t complain, pretty much empty.
Cons: laberithine process to get my boarding pass. Booked on Kayak with last minute on a Luthanasa flight operated by United. Basically had to call all three in order to get my boarding passes as the website didn’t work. Really confusing.
Pros: Not a lot to say really from a positive, In Europe if we had to fly over 4 hours the airlines put on larger planes, this plane was small for a 6+ flight
Cons: Small plane for a 6+ hour flight, food is . sub standard, if you want to watch the onboard entertainment you need to do so from you phone or Ipad, you need their app installed first and flash player, if not your screwed. They allow you to download their flash player but it does not work.
Pros: Entertainment and leg room brilliant!
Cons: Good was disgusting
Pros: The staff was courteous and efficient. The entertainment selections were diverse. The seating was adequate for a long haul flight.
Cons: The check-in process took 50 minutes at the counter as the staff told me that I needed a visa for China (transit) while that info was incorrect. I had to deal with online customer service while the person at the counter couldn’t help. It finally took 3 people at the counter to send me away. Once on the plane for a 14+ hour flight, I couldn’t use the bathrooms freely as they were filthy. The staff obviously didn’t maintain the bathrooms during the entire flight. The food served made me wish that I had bought take-out food for 3-meals prior to my boarding. the quantity of food was inadequate for the long flight as well. 1 extra snack would have been appreciated. I will likely book my future trans-Pacific flights with another airline.
Pros: Getting back to the UK
Cons: When booking with Lufthansa I don't then expect to be on a united airlines flight Terrible customer service and substandard old uncomfortable aircraft
Pros: Pleased with all
Pros: The flight attendants were polite, helpful and super patient with our kids.
Pros: Improve the food and be ahead of the best
Pros: Newark Airport is great and the flight was comfortable
Cons: Seats were small with not much leg room
Cons: I don't usually write reviews but my flight check in experience was awful. The woman checking the tickets while boarding was incredibly curt and rude to the old man in front of me (who clearly had an issue with his ticket that was not his fault), then when she got to me she took a look at my bag and said "it's huge I need to check that". It's a bag that I have carried on to hundreds of flights (feel free to look at my flight history with united) and definitely fits in to the over head. When I asked her "is it too big or is there no space?" she said "no space" without even looking at me. I proceeded to board the flight only to find tons of over head compartment space. This is very frustrating. She didn't even take the time to fit my bag in the measuring tool at boarding. She seemed to be in a rush for no reason. The flight was already delayed and being rude wasn't going to make it go any faster. I'm now a silver status member, likely to be gold by the end of the year. I've flown a lot, and I think it's totally reasonable to expect at least some level of politeness while boarding.
Pros: Brisk, efficient cabin crew served food and drink quickly then left us alone to sleep.
Cons: Flight delayed by 75 minutes "awaiting plane". 20 minute wait when finally arrived at Heathrow for steps down to bus to take us to terminal.
Pros: The flight was on time.
Cons: The staff had no meal for me despite me having ordered one. The entertainment system wasn't working and neither was the wifi to allow you to watch on your own device. Old planes with uncomfortable seats. Really poor airline.
Pros: Fast time
Pros: Great crew.
Cons: Food quality could be improved upon (less sugar and carbs, more fresh vegetables/fruits)
Cons: Flight was full to capacity
Pros: Entertainment was good
Cons: Flight delayed for 2.5 hours. Food at airport terminal specific to United ridiculously expensive, particularly for a family, e.g.. $8.50 for French fries, etc.
Pros: I got home safe.
Cons: The customer service was mediocre. The selection of complementary beverage was minimal compared to other airlines. The staff are disgruntled and sometimes rude. There was always some sort of mechanical problems with the plane going to Puerto Plata and coming back. On the way to DR we had to divert to Miami because of problems with Navigation. They made us wait seven hours and gave us a voucher for food at the last minute. People had already bought food. I would not recommend United to none of my associates.
Cons: I don't understand the purpose of basic economy. I bought my ticket months ahead of time and paid over $300 for it. Only to find out when it was time to board that I wasn't guaranteed a seat. EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT A TICKET AND IT WASNT CHEAP. I was put on a waitlist and finally got a ticket after boarding was supposed to be over. I was appalled by the whole thing. Doing away with basic economy or just giving those who buy those tickets the basic rights that should come with an airline ticket should be considered. How can you deny someone a seat if they bought a ticket months ahead of time? What if I wasn't lucky and couldn't get a seat? Wait until the next flight hours later and get put on a waitlist there too? Something needs to change.
Pros: Nothing again!!!
Cons: Having to fly to LHR to get home, even that flight was delayed. Typical United methinks.
Cons: For an international flight, there should be more amenities like charger etc.
Pros: I know it's not the crews fault for the delay, but everything was just truly horrendous. I was a little hesitant to fly United after their scandal, but now I know that I should not have. After a 2+ hour delay, I had to pay $60 at the gate to check a CARRY-ON that I had already asked about at the baggage drop at the beginning of that dreadful day. They assured me that it would be no problem, and foolish me, I actually believed them, so instead of paying $25 to check it ahead of time, I got screwed for $60. For a close to 6 hour flight, a meal should be provided. Entertainment was free because of the fiasco, but normally it's $7.99 which is ridiculous. Lastly, the leg room was really nonexistent. Truly the worst experience I've ever had flying, and I've flown plenty of airlines, both domestic and international. I definitely think my return trip back to Jersey will be my last time flying United.
Cons: Refer to the aforementioned post outlining everything I did not like about this absolute trip from hell. Very disappointing to experience that and it really started the trip out on a sour note. Hopefully it gets better before I have to get back on another United plane back home.
Pros: We went through four scales showing weight complience only to be over the limit each time we got to the final check. And we were accompanied by an United person each time. The only logical reason is that the final scale shows more. They had no idea of how to treat a passager courteously You could see that they are trained to always be right and cougt with their offul reputation they were asked to be better, but they didn't know what better means. The food could not be fed to a dog. The absolute cheapest ever. Two tiniest pieces of chicken, one piece of bread and a sort of pasta sald with raisin uneatable. The service in Paris was better because United couldn't destroy it like in Ny
Pros: The in flight attendants
Cons: The lady in the front desk treated me different then other passengers, i am the only one who was asked to put her carry on in the box to check the fit, and even didn't give me the chance to fit it there, she said its not feet i need to check it in, and i was forced to check my carry on in! The othere passenger have carry on just like mine and some are even bigger then mine!!! They wasn't asked to fit there carry on to the box she just let them in the flight with their bags thats a shame to united airlines who use to be until today my favorite and most recommended flight company. As a result of having my carry on checked in, for now my ride need to be delyed that's going to cost me! Who is going to pay for it thats what im asking, besides the lady was acting rude but i dont know her name unfortunately, in my carry on i have important documents if they are going to be damaged because that lady desid to check my bag in the box and determined un truly that it wont fit (only mine) that won't be good. My number 973-910-7056 Email Nirit.firstname.lastname@example.org
Pros: The person sitting next to me...that were pleasant.
Cons: That when I explained being hearing impaired the boarding attendant said my carry on needed to be checked. I didn't understand her and proceeded to the loading blank. Then when boarding the attendant informed me. I explained I checked my bag in the airport compartment tester and it was fine. I also asked the attendant at the counter. She confirmed it was fine. Still smiling until the snack pretzels were passed out. When I didn't hear the attendant's question, in spite of telling her I was hearing impaired, she threw her hand up rudely and just continued on to other customers. When boarding I watched orhers board with the same size bag as mine, and wondered if telling someone you can't hear gives them the right to inform you at the gate that your bag needs to be checked?
Pros: The flight wasn't too packed.
Cons: My husband and I flew from Newark to Atlanta on 03/12/2017 with United. My husband is active duty military and Alicia assisted us with checking in our baggage. She was very kind and helpful. After retrieving our tickets, we went through Security and my goodness, the process at Newark is awful and TSA WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. That's besides the point. Our flight was delayed because the pilot was not there. Our departure was at 0605 and we didn't leave until 0630. Everyone boarded the plane and we were waiting for the pilot. Then the crew members were pretty rude and not friendly. I know it's an early bird flight but jeez, they can be a little nicer. One stewardess had high heel boots and literally would stomp up and down the aisle. Then she kept saying my purse was not under my seat which it clearly was. I don't know where else she'd like me to put it, maybe in the passengers seat in front of me. I would probably not fly United unless I have no other choice.
Pros: I was allowed to get off the aircraft to collect a bag I left behind
Cons: Flight was delayed, causing major inconveniences, especially as I was on my way to a funeral Only compensation was a food/beverage voucher equal to the value of 5 Swiss Francs, enough to buy a bottle of water despite HOURS wasted
Pros: The flight attendants were friendly for the most part.
Cons: On both flghts we requested a bassinet for our 3 month old. We were told on the phone if one was available we were able to have it. Both flights had bassinets but we weren't allowed access to them. On our first leg the bassinet was in economy plus and we were economy. On the way home our fight was downsized to a smaller plane and the airline was too busy trying to cut 25 people off the fight they weren't able to give us a seat where the bassinet would be. We asked several flight attendants and got different answers from each one.
Pros: The flight itself was great.. However the experience at the airport was terrible.. After placing several calls prior to my departure date to confirm that my 40 inch TV was ok for transportation , it wasn't until I got to the airport to find out that I was unable to take the TV or the TV stand.. I live in Philadelphia and had nowhere to leave it causing me to give it to a stranger in order to make my flight . I am very distraught that the information indicating there was an embargo restricting the transportatione of TV greater 32 inches or boxes to Montego Bay was not given during any of those calls.. I don't understand why that information was not sent in an email prior.. On top of that I placed a call to customs in Montego Bay and was adviced that the embargo is enforced by the airline not customs... If I could some how get some answers regarding this I would appreciate it...
Pros: Little to add.
Cons: The plane was delayed incoming. Then boarding was interminably long because of overbooking and no overhead room for luggage. It took precious time to load passengers 1 group at a time while bags were checked. Once airborne I saw I only had 10 minutes or less to make my connection in Newark, which I inevitably missed. Poorly scheduled. Many passengers missed connections. It would have been much quicker and easier to advise passengers to check bags at the gate BEFORE the plane arrived knowing it was overbooked. I'm very disappointed in how the entire boarding was handled given the time constraints.
Cons: I was in the center bulkhead seat with an very oversized man on the aisle seat with a "service dog". It was not a service dog in the sense that it was all over the place--on my feet and in the aisle where it tripped a stewardess more than once and she told him it couldn't be in the aisle. So it pushed over to my seat because the guy was just to big to share his legroom. It shredded napkins the man dropped which a trained dog would not do. it bounced his tray table up causing him to drop his two vodkas. I had to have the stewardess tell him to move his arm and body out of my seat so I could stow my tray for landing. When waiting for my ride outside the dog was off lease and ran into the pickup lanes where the man had to chase him down. A true service dog would never behave like that.
Pros: The crew were nice though exasperated with cramped new planes and crowded restrooms. Flight was on time
Cons: After three years of flying all around US, realized United is the worst of the three major legacy carriers. I'm star alliance gold and it's still a painful experience. Crew admitted in latest redesign of planes they've managed to squeeze another six seats in coach. My seat wouldn't go back but even if it did, would feel too guilty for person behind to do it - so little legroom on newer planes. They've also cut down on restrooms so for most of the flight there was a line of 5-6 people waiting in the aisle. American Airlines seems to have older planes but at least decent legroom (and I'm not tall - anybody over 5'10 would have to sit at an angle on new United planes!). Been very impressed by Delta's service lately. United feels more like Spirit
Cons: I upgrade to premium economy. This gave me a seat with legroom -but one that did NOT RECLINE ... on a night flight. I am very unhappy. It was not made clear when I upgraded (must have been very small print). I feel ripped off
Cons: This was the flight from hell. Terrible uncomfortable seats. Could not get the monitor turned off and out of my eyes. Plus we were delayed 4 hours in this crappy airport only to get on a really crappy plane. We were supposed to arrive in Tampa before 10 but wound up getting in like a red eye at 1230 am. Lost out on our ride home and we were so exhausted. I cried most of this flight home 2 1/2 hour flight. Nice staff but crappy plane.
