Cons: "Service could be better. Bathrooms need to be clean periodically. Your cut back of restrooms - sucks. I guess the offer of free drinks and a small snack is all United can offer for the price we pay."
Pros: "If the food is offered free as part of the fare. The food is roughly $12.00 or whatever price. That should have been added to the fare we are paying for the flught."
Pros: "Food was good but had to purchase on an 11 hour flight."
Cons: "Delays.... The crew didn't know our gate was changed until we told him. Some of the crew were very rude."
Pros: "All of the flight attendants except for Linda were nice and friendly. The entertainment selection was great and made a 10 hour flight go quickly."
Cons: "There was a flight attendant named Linda on the flight who was very condescending. I tapped her on the shoulder for a request and she told me it was not appropriate to do so because “as flight attendants, we get tapped so often.” Then she skipped over me when serving the snack options because she didn’t make “eye contact” with me although my tray was down and I had my wallet and credit card ready for payment. I have been flying with United to go home to Hawaii for over a decade and have never been treated so poorly by a flight attendant on this airline. I am seriously considering flying with Delta, Southwest, and JetBlue exclusively from now on after this experience."
Cons: "The seating, being separated from my wife!"
Pros: "My boadrding experience was great. The Boeing 737 800/900 from Boston to Newark Was very spacious, lots of leg room. The staff kept the restroom stocked and there were enougt restrooms in coach for the masses."
Cons: "My entertainment hardware on Unitef flight from Newark to Honolulu did not work well. It often froze, any movemnet by the passanger whose seat back it was mounted on cauaed it skip forward or back. It reminded me of an old eight track taple player.."
Pros: "When the flight was delayed (due to maintenance issues) it was convey to us immediately n after 2nd announcement; we were escorted to Check-In counter to rebook for the next flight out...all within an hour."
Cons: "TV screen were too tiny perhaps due to age of plane?!"
Cons: "Flight was aborted on the runway, we were returned to the terminal, and flight was delayed over 6 hours."
Pros: "We arrived in one piece"
Cons: "I've flown 2.5 MM miles over the past 2 decades and United service has deteriorated. Pilot made up some time so arrived 1 hr late then waited another hour for our baggage."
Pros: "Friendly, attentive crew made being scrunched in economy much pkeasanter than on other trips. They seemed to like their work, each other and us! This is not always the case."
Cons: "Trouble getting in-flight entertainment screen to work. Crew member Rick rebooted it for me and the problem was solved."
Pros: "No problems"
Cons: "Would have been nice to have more room"
Cons: "For tall passengers it is really bad,not enough leg room my husband is 6'3"" tall and his legs were right up against the passenger seat in front of us. Also the food was bad. We never ate the dinner as the chicken tasted off and the light breakfast was also bad I do not think I would fly UNITED again."
Pros: "The captain explained the problem... The plane was not cleaned"
Cons: "Gate change twice!!!!! 2 hour delay!!!!"
Pros: "This was a direct red eye flight to Madrid"
Cons: "I paid 1308$ for the tickets, I wasn't expecting first class experience but honestly I was just shocked. First off the flight attendant was so rude, whenever I asked for something or said thank you she would just stare at me and not respond. I mean I get it, it's a red eye flight I wasn't expecting anyone to be chipper. But honestly that was especially rude having to deal with her for the 6 hour trip to Madrid. Second the food was especially disgusting. The chicken was in this white sauce that looked like discharge and if taste like rubber. The bread was hard to bite into. Everything was so stale and tasted so bad I wondered how long they had that food sitting there. My last trip to Europe I flew Swiss air to Italy they had the best customer service and the food didn't taste like I was eating cardboard in jail. I am never flying united airlines to Europe again. It is too long of a trip for subpar service."
Cons: "Cramped. Freezing on flight"
Pros: "Nice vegetarian meal option. Good food and service overall."
Cons: "It wasn't a Lufthansa flight. Both our connecting and international flights were United. We specifically bought the ticket because we have had excellent exeriences on Lufthansa. We were dissapointed to find out we were actually flying United. Entertainment system was down so there were no movies the entire way and we were seated in an exit row where the seats did not recline. Extra leg space was nice but I would have declined the seat if I had know the chair wouln't recline."
Pros: "Once I was on board, the flight was wonderful."
Cons: "There was a 2 hour delay boarding and the delay started after we were in the queue to board."
Pros: "The boarding process was as expected and comfortability."
Cons: "I did not like the fact there was no in flight tv, while I brought my laptop the wifi did not work at all."
Pros: "Great crew and flight attendants, kept us informed of everything, very helpful and prompt on all questions and requests. Movie selection was impressive. Boarding was efficient and flight even left early. Surprisingly pleasant experience in economy for a long flight."
Cons: "Very little space. Travelled economy on other flights with much more legroom and space."
Cons: "It was so freezing we had down jackets on None of the sound on the screens worked. Disaster"
Pros: "The crew was so friendly and accomodating. What a great experience!!"
Pros: "Hostesses came around often"
Cons: "I don't know if I can ding ANA though I paid for a ANA flight and got an entirely United flight. The media was rather old and the screen looked like it hadn't been updated since they got a touch screen, which didn't work all that well. The food was terrible. Only beer and wine was complementary."
Pros: "Quick boarding, arrived early, great selection on entertainment system (and free)"
Cons: "It baffles me that meals aren't included on a 10 hour flight simply because it's a domestic flight. There are shorter (and cheaper) flights to London that include meals and alcohol."
Pros: "Nice food, good crew"
Pros: "crew very nice and helpful"
Cons: "seats uncomfortable and food adequate. arrived in newark late and arrived in manchester england late but no problem as no connection."
Cons: "4 hours late, bad food, stressed staff."
Cons: "We had to wait over two hoirs for them to het us a plane. They allowed United Staff members to dead head to Scranton amd bumped paying costomers. They flight attended stopped her speech to make a mother keep her infant quiet. The The agent at the gate continued to give false information on the delays."
Pros: "Horrible smell in the cabin, lavatory out of service"
Cons: "Horrible smell in the cabin, lavatory out of service"
Cons: "Speed of boarding, no hassle with carry on bags"
Pros: "The leg room and the great service"
Pros: "The pasta dinner was good, the seats still had in-screen entertainment, and we got 2 seats together by ourselves!"
Cons: "The very back of the plane. United must have changed the type of plane as our seat assignments didn't make sense. Thankfully, we were able to change them when checking in at Newark airport."
Pros: "Food was very good, almost restaurant-level. Wine selection was good as well"
Cons: "While on the plane at the gate, had to wait 20 mins for someone to hang my jacket (had to ask and the person came back 5 mins later) despite the fact that the attendant immediately checked on the guy next to me when he sat down, who apparently had status with United (attendant ignored me). I guess a $7,000 fare doesn't warrant special attention. I had to ask the same attendant for other items at times, but he'd forget and I'd have to ask someone else. Also, the seats were decent yet a bit crowded IMHO. I'm 5'10" and my feet were crammed up against the front of the space when fully reclined. The width of the seat area was a bit tight as well. Finally, they have 2 heads (toilets) that serve both the business class section ( maybe 50 people) as well as the front of economy. One of the pilots was waiting at the same time as me and agreed that it was a pretty questionable layout for the number of seats covered. All in all, not my favorite airline and nothing on this trip so far changed that view."
Pros: "Food was ok - but served way too hot. Crew was pleasant and the entertainment was a decent selection."
Cons: "When we arrived, we were told we weren't actually taking Austrian airlines and should have been on united - which was at a different terminal. Then checking in was a disaster - neither the Austrian app or united app would allow me to checkin. Then the seats we had selected initially weren't given to us at checkin so we had to upgrade our seats to sit together. And then, in our more expensive seats - we froze. We were underneath the AC and the crew said they had no extra blankets."
Pros: "The flight attendants were friendly for the most part."
Cons: "On both flghts we requested a bassinet for our 3 month old. We were told on the phone if one was available we were able to have it. Both flights had bassinets but we weren't allowed access to them. On our first leg the bassinet was in economy plus and we were economy. On the way home our fight was downsized to a smaller plane and the airline was too busy trying to cut 25 people off the fight they weren't able to give us a seat where the bassinet would be. We asked several flight attendants and got different answers from each one."
Pros: "Very profesional crew with positive attitude Take off and landing within the planed time schedule"
Cons: "Not enough movies with Hebrew subtitles For people with hearing problems English subtitles for all movies can help"
Pros: "flight is OK + in business class"
Cons: "terrible delay..."
Cons: "Crew members were not helpful."
Cons: "Grant flight , i flew with my daughter in business class the service was very good , food was great , missed watching direct tv as the Olympic Games was going on , but over top notch"
Pros: "I had two seats to myself because it was a small flight. I was able to sleep most of the flight"
Pros: "The flight was ok but they got my luggage almost destroyed and I couldn't complain once I got it, because no one was working in the courier."
Cons: "The flight was ok but they got my luggage almost destroyed and I couldn't complain once I got it, because no one was working in the courier."
Pros: "Tight seating funky food"
Pros: "I was such bit cold on the flight. Other than that it was great"
Pros: "Late flight meant service was hurried and sub-par United's movies are pretty good actually"
Cons: "Flight was late and I missed my connecting flight"

Pros: "Plane was not crowded. Less claustrophobic. Bathrooms clean."
