Pros: "Nothing. Literally nothing."
Cons: "EVERYTHING!! Packed like sardines with ZERO distancing for a four hour flight. Flight attendants were horrible and did nothing to mandate mask wearing. Literally watched a guy sleep nearly the entire flight with his mask off and the FA walked by him multiple times without saying anything. Will never fly with American after their abysmal attempt to keep us safe. I did not feel safe for a second on that horrendous flight. Definitely getting a COVID test and I will know where I got it from if I test positive. Also the seats are uncomfortable and it was a very bumpy flight (I understand that part cannot be avoided). I don’t understand how you cancel flights and bump people to other flights only for them to be SUPER packed. I thought at the rate of cases rising airlines should be doing a better job at taking safety precautions. Not American. Why do they think it’s a safe idea at this time to have my wife and I packed in with a total stranger for four hours? No social distancing whatsoever! Overall I cannot say a single good thing about this flight. Worst in my entire life"

Cons: "The flight was 2 hours delayed because there was a mechanical issue on the plane. We sat and waited on the plane for 1 hour while the Maintenance crew tried fixing the problem. After sitting there for one hour, they told us the problem wasn’t fixed and we have to change aircrafts. The other aircraft was all the way in terminal D (we were in terminal A) and the boarding process took a long time. Overall it was an awful flight and experience with American Airlines. I missed my mother’s birthday party because of the 2 hour delay."

It was almost always and grunt and what do you want? The personal device entertainment was very buggy. the movie I tried to watch kept skipping, like on old scratched CD."

Need to track down a manager to get a refund. He says he issues me a refund but it never came through. Then on the flight WiFi isn’t working, no entertainment on a cross country flight of 6 hours. Not a word mentioned, no credit offered. Was offered credit by delta for the same issue on a flight half the length of time. Super uncomfortable seats. Also no current to charge devices. My friend moved up to a different seat that was empty to try to get power for her phone and told she needs to pay 160$ to sit in that seat even though the plane is half empty. Just really poor experience overall.."

Got to the airport & our seats were split up by desk clerk & she didn't even inform us of seat assignment change. She also put 2 of us in the Exit row without informing us. Did not know we were assigned to Exit row until we boarded. Our overhead bins were full with other passengers carryons. This should not be. Why can't passengers use their own overhead bins. Stewardess would not help us, she said find a spot up front, if not you'll have to check carryons. Terrible."

Every time the PA system was used it buzzed so whatever was being said wasn't comprehend-able. The biggest complaint was the seating room. I understand that you want to get people into more legroom seats but honestly there should be a regulation for the inhumane way you treated those of us that did not ante up more! I thought I alone have these opinions but once you get me back home, you loose my business forever. I will take my Transatlantic flights every six weeks elsewhere."

When I said to my friend as she was running toward the gate that we didn't hear the announcements. The gate agent told me I was the only one because all the other passengers did. I told him that wasn't true. He would not look at me and repeated to go down the jet way or I would miss the flight. Meanwhile more passengers were running for the gate. The message board message displayed "preboarding". I was sitting in the gate area for 40 minutes."

The crew were mostly efficient and worked well together BUT only one (out of the 4 or 5 in our section) smiled at passengers and looked like she was actually enjoying her job. It’s my heart medication and my blood thinner which is very expensive and a couple of costume jewelry necklaces. I wish someone could help me locate this medication, it’s very expensive."

When we were about to leave the house we received an email -delay til 5:25, Moments after 6:10, and finally an hour later flight canceled. After a few calls to Spirit customer service, we were offered to be booked for a flight at 8:25. In the process of the conversation, the line was dropped off, minutes later I called again and the agent said that all tickets sold out and first available Wednesday 08/15 at 6;30 am. I had nothing but to agree. I continue to call customer service and after spending on calls hours and hours, I got lucky and booked at the same 525 Flight 24 hours later. Arrived two hours before departure, and got informed that the flight late one hour, then two and a half hours, then 4 hours..... Finally, we took off at 9; 45. From the moment we arrived at the gate 41 and 45minutes before departure no representative was present at the gate. I'm a person with a disability and was trapped in a wheelchair for hours and no one informed about any updates. Hours without water, food and most important information. Thanks to Kayak and Spirit app I got updates on my phone."

Cons: "Spirit Airilnes doesn't really care about you, they charge for water, the staff are mostly indifferent, and the overall experience is degrading. They are able to do this because they offer cheap flights; their argument is essentially "Go somewhere else if you don't like us." The fact that they package it in a friendly, 'hip' aesthetic makes the whole thing slightly insulting. It feels like an Apple commercial gone wrong. Unless you're really, really on a budget or there are no other companies, don't go with them. There's nothing more expensive then cheap sometimes."
