Pros: The experience was really good. I’ll be using JAL again.
Cons: Keep doing a good job.
Pros: The experience was really good. I’ll be using JAL again.
Cons: Keep doing a good job.
Pros: Great seat, cabin crew was fine.
Cons: Too much confusion trying to just find a shower in the lounge
Cons: Crew was not very helpful
Pros: Crew was amazing, food was great.
Cons: The Entertainment screen could have been larger.
Cons: I didnt get bulk head seats that are near the restroom for my disabled father. He had a terrible flight
Pros: The crew and food was amazing, with ample entertainment selections.
Cons: Seats. For some unknown reason, JAL uses different seats on this 787-8 flight from NRT-SAN that's 2-3 inches less in pitch than all of their other planes. This was not comfortable on a 9-hour+ flight. The flight attendants also woke us up everytime food was served so we could recline up seats.
Cons: Electricity didn’t work in my pod
Pros: 33" seats
Pros: The seat was very spacious
Cons: More space to put things
Pros: I paid extra to get bulkhead seat. But the monitor won't stay up. So I asked for help. Flight attendant used duct tape for both my monitor and the one next to mine.
Cons: My boarding pass was marked with SSSS and I was subjected to another security search at the gate in NRT! They laid out all my carry-on stuff in 2 long tables and swabbed both my hands. Then sent me on my way, leaving my passport on the table. Good thing I had the presence of mind to look for it!!!
Pros: Crew was amazingly nice, friendly and very helpful...
Cons: The 767 business class seat from Tokyo to Jakarta could be better. Movies and other entertainment needs more variety. Not enough movies...
Pros: The crew and food both are amazing.
Pros: they assisted my aunt very well all through out her flight
Pros: Sturdest were very kind
Cons: There was 2 choices for food either pork or chicken But when I asked for chicken they told us no more chicken Then they took the pork from the tray and I had to eat the rest without the main course. Also all the seats were taken by the people who bought the tickets directly from JAL,but there was few seats left all in the middle for people who purchase tickets from travel agents.
Pros: Food was great
Cons: It’s 14h flight. I wanted more water. I had to keep asking but the size was too small... I didn’t want orange or apple juice....
Pros: This flight was part of a longer trip - I flew from Hartford, CT, USA on a different airline and connected to Japan Airlines in Chicago. I flew Chicago to Tokyo in JAL and then from Tokyo to Manila again on JAL. The service on first leg was very good and friendly of my JAL flights, food was good, seat was comfortable. Then on my second flight from Tokyo to Manila I was shocked but thrilled that I had been given an upgrade to first class. The whole experience was outstanding! The seat was incredibly comfortable and the food was phenomenal. The only problem, not that you could call it a problem, was that I was so comfortable with my fluffy pillow and fully reclining seat that I couldn’t stay awake to finish my movie! Thank you!
Cons: Not applicable
Pros: The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), and entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large). I would definitely recommend JAL to others.
Cons: The food was not to my liking (i.e., all Japanese style, but not necessarily types that appeal more to Westerners) but it was palatable.
Pros: The flight from Chicago to Tokyo was delayed, which made me worried that I would miss the connection to Taipei. I was very happy to discover that an airline staff person was waiting for me when I got off the plane, having already changed me to another Taipei flight. She explained things and guided me to the right place. She was able to walk amazingly fast for a woman wearing high heels!
Pros: Longer leg room and clean ambience coupled with very friendly flight attendent makes this trip a wonderful experience
Pros: Space between the seats.
Cons: Color of the seats.
Pros: Excellent service, excellent seats and comfort . Good food
Pros: First about the price of the ticket, and the survis in the plane
Cons: Actually nothing is my dislike things.
Pros: Flight attendants are all nice, polite and always smile. Good food and good entertainment.
Cons: Waited for one and a half hrs before the plane took off, almost an hr went by then they announced some minor problem with engine. Good reason but they had a/c on so cold all these times. Also I would appreciate coffee or some drink while waiting...I guess that's not possible in this case.
Pros: Food is better than most other airlines. Seamless check in and boarding
Cons: Seating space is quite cramped
Pros: Seat spacing good for economy food was good
Cons: Movie Selection
Pros: Met a very nice Taiwanese sitting next to me. We spoke the entire trip.
Pros: Economy seating the best in the business.
Cons: Old movies
Pros: The courtesy and professionalism is a 10.
Cons: Checking in with Japan Airlines was a serious hassle. I had my e-ticket but they kept asking me if I had already paid. The flight was apparently overbooked but than at the last minute, they gave me and my girlfriend seats separated from each other. I sat in the back, she sat in front. The tickets also had trouble scanning and kayak isn't a known agency.
Pros: Fast flight
Cons: No entertainment.
Pros: Simply excellent !!!
Pros: Once again the service from the flight attendants was perfect.
Pros: JAL work ethics are what the Japanese excel at, so there's not much to complain about.
Cons: The same as most other airlines, the seat width and pitch has been getting smaller. Even with seat by the aisle, my elbow sometimes bumped inadvertently a wayward flight attendant.
Pros: Great service! Also, the food and beer that came with my flight was awesome.
Pros: Superior service in a great and spacious plane.
Cons: Seats are a bit flat and shallow, besides that it was awesome!
Pros: Great service. Great in flight entertainment. Served a meal. Had USB charge port. Spacious even though I was in the last row.
Cons: Wish they offered a vegetarian meal, however the food was great and I still was satisfied with the parts I could eat.
Pros: The workers are always wonderful.
Cons: Food was not as good as in the passed.
Pros: everything was perfect!!
Cons: Never make it on flight because the connection flight so messed up. Need to purchase new ticket with different airline finally.
Pros: Always on time
Cons: No clue when it's boarding time and no announcement
Pros: The whole price was wonderful I like everything about it
Cons: There is nothing to dislike about the flight
Cons: Not much leg room
Pros: Very good
Pros: Crew members were very nice. All staff members definitely embodied the courteousness and professionalism of Japan. The house slippers were a nice touch and we really enjoyed the large movie selection. The miso soup with meals was great! Overall really enjoyed our flying experience with jal and would fly with them again.
Cons: The food for our return flight from haneda to Honolulu was definitely subpar compared to the food we had on our first jal Honolulu to Hong Kong flight (layover in narita). Also the plane was not as big and older so we didn't have the touch screen. We were quite impressed on our Honolulu to Hong Kong flight, then were a little let down on our haneda to Honolulu flight.
Pros: Great flight attendants
Cons: Japanese food not great
Cons: Free Wi-Fi would be nice
Pros: the crews were very professional and caring. the food was the best of all so far
Cons: the only thing was this flight was delayed and we missed the flight at LAX, but JAL reserved a hotel room near by for us so that we were able to refresh ourselves and relax till the next flight. thank you JAL!
Pros: Excellent service
Cons: Not a lot of vegetarian options
Pros: The service
Cons: Leaving a comfortabke setting
Pros: The airplane was quite and clean and the crew were helpful
Cons: Some items were not new and not in a good shape like the headphones and the pillows. The crew didn't pickup the plates after we finished our meal
Pros: Amazing crew, Great flight.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Pros: Had a whole row to myself
Cons: Food wasn’t great
Pros: Such a pleasant flight compared to the 3 other flights I had taken on this trip. The crew were friendly and food was delicious!
Pros: The crew was great, food was great and the seats wider and comfortable !
Pros: The food and the service
Cons: It was cancelled. There was no proactive communication from Kayak or Asiana about the situation. We had to cancel and rebook ourselves.
Pros: Great crew and food on-board
Cons: Boarding process was disorganized
Pros: Ground staff in Korea and Philippines is helpful.
Cons: Delayed flight which cause us to missed our succeeding flights.
Pros: Staff and flight crew all very nice and profressional and attentive; bags arrived at final destination - no issues with missing luggage
Cons: Another delay from icn to bkk, No meal on this 6hr flight! Catering issue, so no dinner... just a pack of peanuts, literally. Seats very uncomfortable in economy, lack cushioning
Cons: Big delay for more than one hour.
Pros: Impressed with the airline as a whole. I would fly Asiana again.
Cons: Twelve hours is tough on the body. Seat cushions were a little thin.
Pros: Superior attentive and hospitable staff. Will def book them again!!!
Pros: Great service. Comfortable seating.
Cons: More variety in foods available would be nice but whatever we did have was good.
Pros: Food and the services by flight attendants.
Cons: tight seat.
Cons: Every flight with asians was delayed.
Cons: Flight was cancelled and they were not able to give me another schedule for the same day. I had to wait for the flight leaving the following day! It wasn't clear why the flight was cancelled
Pros: The flight attendants were polite and very attentive!
Cons: There was not any WiFi though it was advertised.
Pros: They served grewl twice I thought I was getting grewl with road kill to eat
Cons: The food and seemed like one of the lady's working there did not like her job
Pros: The crew was friendly and helpful.
Cons: Flight was delayed by over an hour, (because of a "connection"? What does that even mean?), food was poor, seats worn and uncomfortable, no personal TVs on an international flight, no alcohol (even for purchase).
Pros: Good service, boarding on time, got to destination earlier than expected
Cons: The air conditioning wasn't quite working, maybe the plane was too old
Pros: Very good service.
Cons: The flight attendants took WAY too long to gather the food trays after the passengers had eaten. They should make many more trips throughout the journey serving water and juices.
Cons: Delay, delay, delay from boarding, taking off to baggage arrival. Staff wasn't too attentive to passengers considering all the delay for example, giving ample snack for the late dinner. The dinner was terrible, options were horrid for non Koreans. The chicken was pink w old texture. Quality of food was immensely poor for Asiana. The staff on our row weren't pleasant and consistently didn't serve water or any liquids during this long flight.
Pros: Helpful staff who regularly cleaned restrooms.
Cons: Minimal, unhealthy meals. Poor choice of beverages (no cartons of milk) and gloopy fried fish that was all batter. Tpe-Seoul meals were perfunctory boxes with no choices besides malodorous rice. Entertainment was very thin on movies and (jazz/classical) music, and the preview window was about one by two inches, ludicrously small. No English subtitles on most world or Asian movies.
Cons: Could use a little more movies.
Pros: Great service. Good meal.
Cons: Slight delay of 1 hour, late inbound aircraft (weather)
Pros: crew was very professional and pleasant. Plane was in excellent condition comfortable and clean
Pros: They were nice about my bags. The airport was good. They took me to Paris.
Cons: They just gave me two choices for food without any description; both times I got the lesser of two meals. The staff got a little testy when I didn't know what they were offering.
Pros: Excellent first experience with Asiana... The flights were on time, the flight attendants were kind and helpful, AND my vegan meal was very tasty! Will definitely be flying with you guys again :)
Pros: The food was good, and the crew was friendly. Boarding was on time.
Cons: No leg room, no in flight entertainment.
Pros: Very good
Pros: Food was delish (esp the Korean options), and crew was very courteous. The plane going to our destination had an updated online entertainment system -- touch screen worked w/o too much effort and the control was an easy reach from in front of you but I can't say the same for the flight back which i think is an older plane.
Cons: I was getting sick and had fever the day i was going to fly back home. I was contemplating moving my flight but wanted to know if I could do it without getting charged (say if I had a doctor's note from the hospital) or at least how much I would have to pay... I didn't get to ask at all because (1) it was hard for me to find the correct customer service to call and (2) when I reached it, I was asked to call again as services were busy. I ended up taking the flight sick because I didn't want to rack up extra charges. Also, I find the seats pressing on to my thighs if my legs are in a relaxed position (meaning not trying to keep my knees together as if I was in a job interview). I've had to put a blanket or pillow between me and the armrests so they wouldn't hurt. Some airplanes have thinner more streamlined armrests and those have made some of my other travels more comfortable.
Pros: Everything was great except for delay.
Cons: The delays.
Pros: Well they upgrade us to business class and lets me tell you, if inhvar that kind of money, I would buy that business every time I travel. The best time and didn't want to get off.
Cons: Nothing that I didn't like. Very impressed from beginning unti landed.
Pros: Flight attendant are smiling&friendly...nice landing.
Cons: Tv old model...screen very small...hard to operate....very tiny letters...seats are uncomfortable for 16 hours flight Seoul to Chicago...
Pros: Super friendly staff
Cons: Check in and boarding took incredibly long due to systems being down at the airport probably not asianas fault but that's my only complaint
Pros: Excellent customer service.
Pros: Excellent customer service
Pros: I particularly liked the seamlessness of the experience - from the downtown checkin and getting a boarding pass at Seoul station, taking the AREX, the efficiency and competence of the front line personnel, etc. I will recommend Asiana and I would consider taking them long distance except that I am a goldcard frequent flier with American/British/Cathay for many years now. Chicago talks about seamlessness in its airport experience but its train-to-the-plane is the chronic weak link.
Cons: Nothing - I'd tell you if there was. I didn't bother with entertainment for a two-hour flight and I was already well into a really eloquent novel (I'll Be Right There) by Kyung-Sook Shin; check it out
Pros: food and crew
Pros: as above
Pros: Friendly crew and staff
Cons: Food was just okay No power outlets in economy seats Short delay
Pros: Food and comfort
Cons: The cabin smelled very bad. Like sweaty clothes. Air quality not good. Also, too cold at times.
Pros: The staff was nice and accommodating which is a big plus and the food was pretty good too.
Cons: The flight was super delayed. Don't get me wrong I know things happen and I even know they used that time to make sure the plane was good to go, but it's the principle. I had expected to make it Bangkok at a certain time, but this delay well...delayed me lol. You get the point.
Pros: Crew members. ..
Cons: Service is fantastic
Cons: Entertainment - difficult to find movie channel guide
Pros: The food and staff were great. Thank you for helping us with seats.
Pros: The crew was attentive and friendly!
Pros: crew was good enough... but seats was not comfortable, screen was broken and in general plane was a bit old for 2019 futures
Cons: more space for legs, modern screens
Pros: Crew was fine. Food and entertainment was awful. The wheelchair assisted transfer during layover was horrendous.
Cons: The wheelchair assist transfer between planes at Istanbul was atrocious.
Pros: Food, comfort, wifi, entertainment.
Cons: The flight left an hour late. But the crew never explained why the delay.
Cons: Delay flight from Istanbul..
Cons: Same problem as the first segment (see above)
Cons: I picked a window seat very early on through a phone call to a Turkish Airline agent in the USA, but when I checked in online, the seat assigned to me was gone and I was put in a middle seat while there were many other seats available. This erasure of the record and random seat assignment nullify the effort on the part of the passenger (making a call is not a trivial act these days because of the long waits) and generate uncertainty in the minds of the travellers. Hope you can improve on this point. That will make an even better impression on the passengers.
Pros: High quality in.Biz.Great selections of food but wine a little scarce
Cons: More wine
Pros: I loved everything, the ticket purchase, the check in, the free first bag, the cabin crew, the amazing food and eating with non plastic forks and spoons.
Cons: The plane was a little too cold.i noticed that 90% of the people on the plane had covered themselves in blankets.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Uncomfortable seating, oldish plane, depressing colour combinations in the plane. Plane lavatory was dirty
Pros: Its was sooo goood, thanks
Cons: The worst airline I have ever flown with, worst disruption management. No care for customers.
Pros: The benefits of being United Gold status is a real plus at the lounges and in the boarding process.
Cons: The 12.5 hour flight is too long for my aging body!! Either bulkhead or business is needed for flights that long
Pros: Surprisingly good food. Great in flight movie selection.
Pros: Staff was very helpful and kind. Very delicious food.
Cons: We had asked for wheel chair. At Istanbul we were made to wait for almost two hours. Our boarding passes were collected by your staff, when I raised my voice, were given one wheel chair and I had to run along with the staff or we could have missed the flight. I wanted to have some grub at airport but there was no time.
Cons: Crew were rude and everything we asked for was an issue like we didn't exist not sure if they had a problem because we had a baby with us
Pros: A much nicer 777 on this leg.
Cons: The lounge at IST is overcrowded and lacks sufficient showering facilities. There was leftover food everywhere that the overworked staff tried, in vain, to keep up with.
Pros: Great experience for my first international flight.
Cons: Boarding was devoid of any announcements or organization, and was just a gaggle of people shuffling towards a gate.
Pros: I appreciate the food service -- receiving two full meals for the 12-hour flight is critical to maintaining a relatively good mood.
Cons: I didn't like that the ticket desk doesn't know the regulations on what deices are or are not allowed on the aircraft. I really didn't like having my e-reader taken away from me when changing planes in Istanbul (with no explanation as to what was happening or how I'd get it back) nor the fact that over 200 people had to pick up devices at JFK and only two employees were retrieving them.
Pros: Great comfort and speedy service of beverage and breakfast
Cons: They didn't pick up the dishes fast
Pros: We liked being in Exit row and the food and service
Cons: On way over BOS-->IST the seats were the closest together I have ever had. Exit row video screen support arm did not hold in place
Cons: There was not enough milk while they know there is alot of kids
Pros: Everything was great! Flight iand boarding was on time and the service provided by crew was simply the best. I enjoyed the entire flight.
Cons: It took 4 days to leave Arusha. I know there were other flight options on other airlines (e.g. Emirates) but Turkish wouldn't book us. I ended up eating the cost of a whole separate trip because I didn't get back until Saturday afternoon, despite communicating this multiple times to Turkish.
Pros: What's to like about being in a 737 for over 6 hours?
Cons: Boarded from the front and rear of the plane. We were in the middle, so it was slow. 6+ hours in a 737 -- I feel like compacted trash. Crew avoids looking at you for fear that you'll talk to them. Worse airline I've been on for communicating. Food just isn't very good.
Pros: Wonderful experience
Pros: A lot of food and drink, toothbrush, slippers, etc.
Cons: The first leg of my trip had a tiny, cramped airplane for 10 a plus hour flight.
Pros: they are good thank you very mush
Cons: My seat was terribly uncomfortable. The airplane temprature was really low that it made me so sick. I had a missing luggage where i did not hear any updates from Turkish Airlines for 5 days. I ALWAYS fly Turkish Airline internationally when going to Turkey. But after my last experience, i am not so sure
Pros: The crew was friendly and I enjoyed the entertainment system. It was a clean plane and undoubtedly newer than most.
Cons: The food was mediocre, but I was happy to even receive food on a short flight.
Pros: Everything was great!
Pros: Nice onboard entertainment system
Cons: Extremely rude flight attendants. Did not care at all for customer service. Do not expect western standard service ! Service is 3rd world.
Pros: Boarding was on time and the service was nice. The cabin crew were nice too.
Pros: Entertainment choices were great, entertainment available at seat back was excellent.
Cons: By the time they reached my row (37), they had run out of lemonade, chicken dinner, and even customs card. That was poor stocking. The service was mediocre at best. When I asked for beer and a cup of water, the female flight attendant ignored my request and just gave me water. Chicken entree had run out. When I pointed out that I do not eat beef, I was given a half-eaten special-order vegetarian tray: the salad, dessert, bread were all missing. I had to ask again for the rest of the contents of the tray and the male flight attendant was none too happy. So much so that, come breakfast time, he deliberately skipped serving me breakfast - he served the people on both my sides, and just walked away without so much as an explanation. That is rude and obnoxious behavior not becoming of anyone in the service profession.
Pros: Loved the clean atmosphere and friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like.
Cons: FROM TEL AVIV WAS BAD, LATE, NO KOSHER FOOD, MISSED CONNECTION. TO TEL AVIV OK.. BUT VERY LATE HOUR AS SCHEDULED.
Pros: Everything was great.
Cons: The flight was late by over 2 hours and we missed our onward flight to San Francisco. At Istanbul, Ataturk Airport, Turkish Airline did not provide a Visa although they gave hotel and boarding passes for next days flight. At Istanbul, Ataturk airport it was a nightmare for us, as senior citizens. Why should we buy the Visa when the flight was delayed which is no fault of ours. Of the 4 automatic e-visa machines onlyEv 1 was working and there was a long queue. In between the machine stopped working for a long time and no one was there to assist or restart. They gave our boarding passes for the next days flight and their responsibility was over. We had to wait for over an hour to get the hotel. Overall it was a bad experience.
Pros: Boarding was quick, crew was helpful and pleasant
Cons: -No vegetarian options for meals -No personal TV to watch -No announcement made in English in Kabul airport
Pros: Everyone was really nice!
Pros: The food they serve is really good. The touch screen pad for the video selection was easy to use.
Pros: Service and food was excellent
Cons: Cabin pressure was awful last 30 mins. My ears and teethical were killing me.
Pros: The traditional hospitality I got in flight was quite unique. Many things change but some things always remain the same. Some may call it old fashioned or not modern but then I am an old fashioned guy. It was like stepping back in time when things were always so much nicer.
Cons: Istanbul airport was very very busy and some places were not working very efficiently (security scan when you go from the plane to the transit lounge). The departure gate was overflowing in the waiting areas and the bus ride to the plane was very crowded. Aside from this Istanbul airport and the transit lounge were very pleasant.
Pros: I love everything
Pros: Everything (food, service, entartainment)
Cons: English of the crew
Cons: They lost half the bags on the plane, including mine, so there was a huge line to make lost baggage claims. Turkish Airlines pretty much runs ataturk airport ist. So they should make sure the Wifi there works. Which it never seems to.
Pros: Really good inflight entertainment , seat had usb, and food was great!
Pros: It was ok
Cons: Stop charging for wifi. Jet blue has free wifi on domestic flight
Cons: Muy puntual
Pros: the crew was amazing. Seats needs to be more comfortable.
Cons: seat needs to be more comfortable.
Pros: Crew and pilot were great.
Cons: The plane was absolutely PACKED during the peak of a global pandemic. Completely irresponsible to not have people spaced out by at least one seat.
Pros: Crew was amazing
Cons: The WiFi would not connect for two of my flights. I wanted to watch movies
Pros: I was very appreciative that the cabin crew went through the cabin prior to take off to check that everyone was wearing a mask properly (covering mouth AND nose). I flew United a few weeks ago and had to politely ask the person next to me both on return and departing flight to make sure the mask covered thier nose. A lot of people in the cabin weren't wearing masks properly and the crew didn't seem to care.
Pros: The middle seat was left unoccupied to ensure social distancing.
Cons: The sound wasn't working on the 2nd leg of my flight so I wasn't able to enjoy the music.
Pros: Nothing. Will never fly American again
Cons: Better customer service at the gate.
Cons: there was no social distancing
Cons: Lady at the gate barely paid any attention to the line. I had to ask her whether or now I can proceed
Pros: Yes the crow was good
Cons: The wifi should be free to use without paying for it
Pros: Everything was amazing
Cons: More snack options
Pros: Nothing. It’s a terrible airline. Seriously, don’t book with them unless you’re desperate or you want to have an anxiety attack.
Cons: American isn’t my preferred airline for obvious reasons (delays, notoriously bad service, old planes, and a lack of amenities like WiFi and tv’s), but now I’ll never spend my money with them again. They took me off an already delayed flight after I’d already boarded to examine my smart bag. I know that lithium batteries can’t be taken in the underbelly of the plane and I knew my bag would likely be checked at the gate (why I removed the battery and left it at home in the first place). When they asked me if I had a lithium battery in my bag I said “no.” They then gate checked the bag and allowed me on the plane. After everyone had been boarded (half an hour after we’d been scheduled to take off) they then called my name out on the speaker. I had to then de-board the plane and re-explain to staff that there was no lithium battery in my bag. The staff didn’t believe me citing the infallible logic: “there are ports so there’s a battery.” I told them again and again that the battery had been removed and the charging ports—while there—were inert as they weren’t attached to the battery. STILL, I had to remove all of my clothes from the bag, and open every single compartment (of which there were many) for them to allow me to get back onto the plane. They were telling me that they might have to “rebook the flight” if my bag couldn’t get on. I don’t think I need to explain how agitated/terrified that made me.
Pros: The crew was really good. The flight had no issues. I was pleased.
Pros: I pay $30 more for my bags
Cons: I pay $30 more for my bags,
Cons: Phoenix airport is horrible for on time departures. Always.
Pros: My plane was downgraded to a smaller and the weight restricted. I was unable to get on my flight at the designated time so now currently sitting in another plane 2 hours later and still haven’t left for my destination GRK. This is the worst I’ve been treated since flying with American Airlines.
Cons: If I was able to get on my original flight without downgrading and weight restriction issues. I am highly inconvenienced by American Airlines
Cons: Nice crew. Nice flight. Wish there was a bit more legroom
Pros: The flight was delayed by 5 hours! I had to rebook my connecting. Everything else was lacklustre at best
Cons: being on time
Pros: Crew was excellent
Pros: Regular delays. This one by 2 hours. Easier to fly a different airline.
Cons: Just the chronic delays. It’s a good airline, great crew. Tired of damaging delays without compensation.
Pros: Great first class cabin crew.
Cons: I was annoyed when I was told I would have to check my carry on because there was no more room in the overhead compartments. Then as I was walking down the aisle to get to my seat I saw a lot of room in the overheads.
Pros: More space in these seats than in other flights I’ve taken
Pros: No need to drive from OKC!!!
Pros: Fast and easy service
Cons: In 2 weeks, my husband and I had 4 flights with American and none of them went as planned. We endured flight cancellation, incomplete rebooking with another airline, rude customer service agents, multiple flight delays as well as multiple day lost luggage. Finally, it cost $2K more to get to my destination. Obviously not flying American again.
Pros: Staff very professional, everything else went as planned. That's all one needs.
Cons: We had a hard time hearing (clarity of speech) announcements over the intercom at the gate & on the plains (specially when the captain spoke). Nothing life threatening, but wouldn't want to miss something important.
Pros: American did transfer us to another flight after several hours' delay.
Cons: Lack of scheduled flight crew caused a 2 hour delay causing American to re-route us via Chicago in lieu of Phoenix. Still, arrived 2 hours later...
Pros: Smooth flying and lots of respects to the pilots for their dedicated work. The entertainment really works very well.
Cons: Poor Service. The service of drinks is done very poorly. Really concerned with the attitude. Never need those complimentary drinks.
Pros: Got me to where I'm going safely. Crew was nice.
Cons: Flying is painful
Pros: I like the cookies. Any flight that safely lands is a good flight. I didn't have to hear the inflight "entertainment". There was room for my backpack, and I was in group 6 on a nearly full flight.
Cons: I hate having media flashed in my face. The srewardesses misses me when serving beverages, which is hard to imagine, and rarely happens. We had a particularly bumpy landing. I've flown a fair amount, and I thought our bouncing and jostling was unusual, but then weather is unpredictable - still... I've seen navy pilots stick landings of small planes in worse weather.
Cons: We Departed 3 hour late because the pilot was missing. I lost my connection in Miami and I’m waiting here for almost 24 hours to take another flight. Very bad experience!
Cons: The cabin was very warm and almost unbearable. The flight attendant for the first class section was very rude.
Pros: The flight left on time - I do appreciate that.
Cons: We were forced to check our Uppababy Vista stroller at EWR departures that we hoped to check at the gate. Needless to say this made it difficult to get our toddler through security. At baggage claim only half our stroller was there - they had disconnected the seat from the wheels. Luckily we spotted what looked like a similar frame to ours at the gate when we landed. It then took another forty minutes for the baggage claim office person to go through security, to the arrival gate and back to baggage claim.
Cons: Flight delayed but the airline "autorouted" off my flight without informing me. I ran across the airport in Charlotte with my 2 small kids to find my original flight still there and I was kicked off of it. Irate and beyond bothered I got nothing but I'm sorry and you can get another flight in over an hour. So my small children and I will not arrive beyond dinner and bedtime. Unacceptable.
Pros: I liked that you could watch TV and movies from your personal device without a charge.
Cons: That the flight was delayed.
Pros: That we where on the plane... If you consider that we had to make this D-tour to get to San Juan...AA canceled our flight to San Juan in JFK due to wether and not enough standby crews.
Cons: That the canceled the flight in JFK, and the couldn't get us to to San Juan from JFK the same or the next day!! There was nobody from AA to assist you or help you!! We had this once with Delta as well but they send you the new itinerary in front with a compensation and help you at the airport... For us it's never AA again
Pros: Ticket price was competitive.
Cons: No individual entertainment systems on the seat backs--4.5 hours is a long time to be sitting on a plane with only an overhead screen showing whatever movie the airline chose. Also, charging $125 for a carry-on pet that has to stay under the seat AND having it count towards as one of my two "free" carry-ons is ridiculous. The flight was delayed because one of the crew was late.
Pros: Getting to my seat was overall the best experience. Out side of the finally walking onto the plane and sitting down, over an hour late, it was less than mediocre.
Cons: If the plane was on time and didn't run an hour and 20 Ish minutes late, it would have been fine, except for the blinking over head reading light that would flash in my face every 20/30 seconds that could not be turned off being due to, as the flight attendant said, "they all do that".
Pros: Friendliness of flight crew; entertainment choices.
Cons: Food was poor for first class.
Pros: The flight arrived early which was nice. But that's the only good thing about this flight.
Cons: From checking my bag to leaving the plane in Dallas, I felt like AA employees thought passengers were just in the way. It was almost as if the flight attendants were traveling to Dallas and they happened to have to take care of passengers along the way. There were very few smiles, hellos, or how can I help you. It was almost always and grunt and what do you want? The personal device entertainment was very buggy. the movie I tried to watch kept skipping, like on old scratched CD.
Pros: Priority boarding provided by my credit card
Pros: The staff was completely nice (except when I was trying to rebook my ticket and I felt like there was no understanding of what I was going through).
Cons: There was a strange situation outside of LGA wherein I sat in a car for nearly an hour once already at the airport. I don't know what was going on but we were trapped there and it caused me to miss my flight. There were no other flight out and I ended up having to book an entirely new ticket. I believe that LGA or American Airlines should refund my expenses, because otherwise it makes me not want to ever go through either again.
Cons: Everything was ok
Cons: The exit row seats were very confining g..way to narrow due to type of seat used..had the tray in the arm
Cons: 3 hrs on tarmac then weather canceled flight then hoax shutdown JFK
Pros: every thing is okay other than the delay.
Cons: delay in departure for 2 hrs
Cons: I took a flight in 2016 from Newark New Jersey four times and I only went to Florence South Carolina one time. I ended up in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, another time in Columbia South Carolina and the last time in Charlotte North Carolina. Each time I departed I had to pay to come back to Florence South Carolina.
Pros: on time
Cons: cramped, no overhead space due to "backpacks and jackets" on inconsiderate passengers
Cons: Flight delayed
Cons: Long haul airlines across Atlantic charging people for drinks and food on flights !! Best call yourself as cheap budget airlines and stop the pretence . Would be useful if this information was shared at booking plus “drip cost feeding” policy is appalling! Frequent traveller and have never seen such an appalling behaviour on long haul airlines
Pros: When it finally took off the flight itself was smooth.
Cons: Plane was delayed coming in, then we were told we were waiting on catering. Then it became a weather issue. Then we boarded. Weather got worse so they took us off. The second time we boarded and were told we’re waiting on catering who wasn’t on site then had to go through airport security. After 3HOURS , we were asked to leave the plane. For rebounding the next morning with no explanation. The next morning the flight was delayed an additional 3HOURS. We were never given food in all this time of a wait. This became an 18+ hour delay. We definitely missed our connection and they rebooked it.
Pros: Request for supply of earplugs was kindly met. Cabin crew were attentive and friendly. Food was some of the best I have ever eaten in Economy.
Cons: Check-in staff at EWR were abrupt to the point of rudeness. Did not feel valued as a customer.
Pros: Very friendly crew that empathized with the plight of the passengers on board. The poor experiences throughout the journey could have been avoided if United changed it's policies and processes to become more customer focused.
Cons: So many small things add up to an overall poor experience on a flight, and it doesn't seem like United understands this. 1) WiFI was down. 2) Entertainment screens for several of the passengers on board were not working. The poor lady next to me had a broken screen, and combined with the broken WiFi, she literally just sat in her seat looking forward for several hours (after she finished the podcasts on her phone). 3) For a 5-6 hour flight, food (more than just snacks) were available for only about half the passengers on board. Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. It wasn't even possible to purchase it if I wanted to because by the time the crew got to me, they were all out. 4) Baggage space under the seat varies wildly depending on your seat. For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat.
Pros: 1. Super friendly crew 2. Plenty of space in Economy Plus seats
Cons: 1. Very average food 2. Continuous problems with the entertainment system during the whole flight
Pros: Nice quick flight staff great and very helpful!
Cons: Entertainment wasn’t free
Pros: Not much
Cons: Dirty seat, broken screen & headphone socket.
Pros: On time.
Cons: Flight attendants were dis-engaged. No smiles. Not pleasant. RUDE to those wairing for bathroom. Not polite nor particularly helpful. Could not understand pilot at all. No one could dicipher his message. NO emtertainment without extra cost... on 4 1/2 hour flight!! Shame on you United! BOOO. Hardly anyone paid for entertainment. Very boring and hard flight. Will give another airline my $500 next time. Everyone who buys a cross-country ticket should get free entertainment. NO food except one cookie on 4 1/2 hour flight. Are you kidding?? I was starving! A small snack-meal was expected for the high cost we pay for ticket. BOO UNITED. UNTIL UNITED PUTS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMFORT FIRST... I and my family will be flying another airline. Very very disappointed.
Pros: The crew were competent, friendly and helpful. The back of seat entertainment was very good, with a lot of new releases. When the flight was delayed the pilot did come around and speak to passengers, which I appreciated.
Cons: The flight was delayed and we were not given any information about what was going on.
Pros: Decent flight, can’t complain, pretty much empty.
Cons: laberithine process to get my boarding pass. Booked on Kayak with last minute on a Luthanasa flight operated by United. Basically had to call all three in order to get my boarding passes as the website didn’t work. Really confusing.
Pros: Not a lot to say really from a positive, In Europe if we had to fly over 4 hours the airlines put on larger planes, this plane was small for a 6+ flight
Cons: Small plane for a 6+ hour flight, food is . sub standard, if you want to watch the onboard entertainment you need to do so from you phone or Ipad, you need their app installed first and flash player, if not your screwed. They allow you to download their flash player but it does not work.
Pros: Entertainment and leg room brilliant!
Cons: Good was disgusting
Pros: The staff was courteous and efficient. The entertainment selections were diverse. The seating was adequate for a long haul flight.
Cons: The check-in process took 50 minutes at the counter as the staff told me that I needed a visa for China (transit) while that info was incorrect. I had to deal with online customer service while the person at the counter couldn’t help. It finally took 3 people at the counter to send me away. Once on the plane for a 14+ hour flight, I couldn’t use the bathrooms freely as they were filthy. The staff obviously didn’t maintain the bathrooms during the entire flight. The food served made me wish that I had bought take-out food for 3-meals prior to my boarding. the quantity of food was inadequate for the long flight as well. 1 extra snack would have been appreciated. I will likely book my future trans-Pacific flights with another airline.
Pros: Getting back to the UK
Cons: When booking with Lufthansa I don't then expect to be on a united airlines flight Terrible customer service and substandard old uncomfortable aircraft
Pros: Pleased with all
Pros: The flight attendants were polite, helpful and super patient with our kids.
Pros: Improve the food and be ahead of the best
Pros: Newark Airport is great and the flight was comfortable
Cons: Seats were small with not much leg room
Cons: I don't usually write reviews but my flight check in experience was awful. The woman checking the tickets while boarding was incredibly curt and rude to the old man in front of me (who clearly had an issue with his ticket that was not his fault), then when she got to me she took a look at my bag and said "it's huge I need to check that". It's a bag that I have carried on to hundreds of flights (feel free to look at my flight history with united) and definitely fits in to the over head. When I asked her "is it too big or is there no space?" she said "no space" without even looking at me. I proceeded to board the flight only to find tons of over head compartment space. This is very frustrating. She didn't even take the time to fit my bag in the measuring tool at boarding. She seemed to be in a rush for no reason. The flight was already delayed and being rude wasn't going to make it go any faster. I'm now a silver status member, likely to be gold by the end of the year. I've flown a lot, and I think it's totally reasonable to expect at least some level of politeness while boarding.
Pros: Brisk, efficient cabin crew served food and drink quickly then left us alone to sleep.
Cons: Flight delayed by 75 minutes "awaiting plane". 20 minute wait when finally arrived at Heathrow for steps down to bus to take us to terminal.
Pros: The flight was on time.
Cons: The staff had no meal for me despite me having ordered one. The entertainment system wasn't working and neither was the wifi to allow you to watch on your own device. Old planes with uncomfortable seats. Really poor airline.
Pros: Fast time
Pros: Great crew.
Cons: Food quality could be improved upon (less sugar and carbs, more fresh vegetables/fruits)
Cons: Flight was full to capacity
Pros: Entertainment was good
Cons: Flight delayed for 2.5 hours. Food at airport terminal specific to United ridiculously expensive, particularly for a family, e.g.. $8.50 for French fries, etc.
Pros: I got home safe.
Cons: The customer service was mediocre. The selection of complementary beverage was minimal compared to other airlines. The staff are disgruntled and sometimes rude. There was always some sort of mechanical problems with the plane going to Puerto Plata and coming back. On the way to DR we had to divert to Miami because of problems with Navigation. They made us wait seven hours and gave us a voucher for food at the last minute. People had already bought food. I would not recommend United to none of my associates.
Cons: I don't understand the purpose of basic economy. I bought my ticket months ahead of time and paid over $300 for it. Only to find out when it was time to board that I wasn't guaranteed a seat. EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT A TICKET AND IT WASNT CHEAP. I was put on a waitlist and finally got a ticket after boarding was supposed to be over. I was appalled by the whole thing. Doing away with basic economy or just giving those who buy those tickets the basic rights that should come with an airline ticket should be considered. How can you deny someone a seat if they bought a ticket months ahead of time? What if I wasn't lucky and couldn't get a seat? Wait until the next flight hours later and get put on a waitlist there too? Something needs to change.
Pros: Nothing again!!!
Cons: Having to fly to LHR to get home, even that flight was delayed. Typical United methinks.
Cons: For an international flight, there should be more amenities like charger etc.
Pros: I know it's not the crews fault for the delay, but everything was just truly horrendous. I was a little hesitant to fly United after their scandal, but now I know that I should not have. After a 2+ hour delay, I had to pay $60 at the gate to check a CARRY-ON that I had already asked about at the baggage drop at the beginning of that dreadful day. They assured me that it would be no problem, and foolish me, I actually believed them, so instead of paying $25 to check it ahead of time, I got screwed for $60. For a close to 6 hour flight, a meal should be provided. Entertainment was free because of the fiasco, but normally it's $7.99 which is ridiculous. Lastly, the leg room was really nonexistent. Truly the worst experience I've ever had flying, and I've flown plenty of airlines, both domestic and international. I definitely think my return trip back to Jersey will be my last time flying United.
Cons: Refer to the aforementioned post outlining everything I did not like about this absolute trip from hell. Very disappointing to experience that and it really started the trip out on a sour note. Hopefully it gets better before I have to get back on another United plane back home.
Pros: We went through four scales showing weight complience only to be over the limit each time we got to the final check. And we were accompanied by an United person each time. The only logical reason is that the final scale shows more. They had no idea of how to treat a passager courteously You could see that they are trained to always be right and cougt with their offul reputation they were asked to be better, but they didn't know what better means. The food could not be fed to a dog. The absolute cheapest ever. Two tiniest pieces of chicken, one piece of bread and a sort of pasta sald with raisin uneatable. The service in Paris was better because United couldn't destroy it like in Ny
Pros: The in flight attendants
Cons: The lady in the front desk treated me different then other passengers, i am the only one who was asked to put her carry on in the box to check the fit, and even didn't give me the chance to fit it there, she said its not feet i need to check it in, and i was forced to check my carry on in! The othere passenger have carry on just like mine and some are even bigger then mine!!! They wasn't asked to fit there carry on to the box she just let them in the flight with their bags thats a shame to united airlines who use to be until today my favorite and most recommended flight company. As a result of having my carry on checked in, for now my ride need to be delyed that's going to cost me! Who is going to pay for it thats what im asking, besides the lady was acting rude but i dont know her name unfortunately, in my carry on i have important documents if they are going to be damaged because that lady desid to check my bag in the box and determined un truly that it wont fit (only mine) that won't be good. My number 973-910-7056 Email Nirit.email@example.com
Pros: The person sitting next to me...that were pleasant.
Cons: That when I explained being hearing impaired the boarding attendant said my carry on needed to be checked. I didn't understand her and proceeded to the loading blank. Then when boarding the attendant informed me. I explained I checked my bag in the airport compartment tester and it was fine. I also asked the attendant at the counter. She confirmed it was fine. Still smiling until the snack pretzels were passed out. When I didn't hear the attendant's question, in spite of telling her I was hearing impaired, she threw her hand up rudely and just continued on to other customers. When boarding I watched orhers board with the same size bag as mine, and wondered if telling someone you can't hear gives them the right to inform you at the gate that your bag needs to be checked?
Pros: The flight wasn't too packed.
Cons: My husband and I flew from Newark to Atlanta on 03/12/2017 with United. My husband is active duty military and Alicia assisted us with checking in our baggage. She was very kind and helpful. After retrieving our tickets, we went through Security and my goodness, the process at Newark is awful and TSA WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. That's besides the point. Our flight was delayed because the pilot was not there. Our departure was at 0605 and we didn't leave until 0630. Everyone boarded the plane and we were waiting for the pilot. Then the crew members were pretty rude and not friendly. I know it's an early bird flight but jeez, they can be a little nicer. One stewardess had high heel boots and literally would stomp up and down the aisle. Then she kept saying my purse was not under my seat which it clearly was. I don't know where else she'd like me to put it, maybe in the passengers seat in front of me. I would probably not fly United unless I have no other choice.
Pros: I was allowed to get off the aircraft to collect a bag I left behind
Cons: Flight was delayed, causing major inconveniences, especially as I was on my way to a funeral Only compensation was a food/beverage voucher equal to the value of 5 Swiss Francs, enough to buy a bottle of water despite HOURS wasted
Pros: The flight attendants were friendly for the most part.
Cons: On both flghts we requested a bassinet for our 3 month old. We were told on the phone if one was available we were able to have it. Both flights had bassinets but we weren't allowed access to them. On our first leg the bassinet was in economy plus and we were economy. On the way home our fight was downsized to a smaller plane and the airline was too busy trying to cut 25 people off the fight they weren't able to give us a seat where the bassinet would be. We asked several flight attendants and got different answers from each one.
Pros: The flight itself was great.. However the experience at the airport was terrible.. After placing several calls prior to my departure date to confirm that my 40 inch TV was ok for transportation , it wasn't until I got to the airport to find out that I was unable to take the TV or the TV stand.. I live in Philadelphia and had nowhere to leave it causing me to give it to a stranger in order to make my flight . I am very distraught that the information indicating there was an embargo restricting the transportatione of TV greater 32 inches or boxes to Montego Bay was not given during any of those calls.. I don't understand why that information was not sent in an email prior.. On top of that I placed a call to customs in Montego Bay and was adviced that the embargo is enforced by the airline not customs... If I could some how get some answers regarding this I would appreciate it...
Pros: Little to add.
Cons: The plane was delayed incoming. Then boarding was interminably long because of overbooking and no overhead room for luggage. It took precious time to load passengers 1 group at a time while bags were checked. Once airborne I saw I only had 10 minutes or less to make my connection in Newark, which I inevitably missed. Poorly scheduled. Many passengers missed connections. It would have been much quicker and easier to advise passengers to check bags at the gate BEFORE the plane arrived knowing it was overbooked. I'm very disappointed in how the entire boarding was handled given the time constraints.
Cons: I was in the center bulkhead seat with an very oversized man on the aisle seat with a "service dog". It was not a service dog in the sense that it was all over the place--on my feet and in the aisle where it tripped a stewardess more than once and she told him it couldn't be in the aisle. So it pushed over to my seat because the guy was just to big to share his legroom. It shredded napkins the man dropped which a trained dog would not do. it bounced his tray table up causing him to drop his two vodkas. I had to have the stewardess tell him to move his arm and body out of my seat so I could stow my tray for landing. When waiting for my ride outside the dog was off lease and ran into the pickup lanes where the man had to chase him down. A true service dog would never behave like that.
Pros: The crew were nice though exasperated with cramped new planes and crowded restrooms. Flight was on time
Cons: After three years of flying all around US, realized United is the worst of the three major legacy carriers. I'm star alliance gold and it's still a painful experience. Crew admitted in latest redesign of planes they've managed to squeeze another six seats in coach. My seat wouldn't go back but even if it did, would feel too guilty for person behind to do it - so little legroom on newer planes. They've also cut down on restrooms so for most of the flight there was a line of 5-6 people waiting in the aisle. American Airlines seems to have older planes but at least decent legroom (and I'm not tall - anybody over 5'10 would have to sit at an angle on new United planes!). Been very impressed by Delta's service lately. United feels more like Spirit
Cons: I upgrade to premium economy. This gave me a seat with legroom -but one that did NOT RECLINE ... on a night flight. I am very unhappy. It was not made clear when I upgraded (must have been very small print). I feel ripped off
Cons: This was the flight from hell. Terrible uncomfortable seats. Could not get the monitor turned off and out of my eyes. Plus we were delayed 4 hours in this crappy airport only to get on a really crappy plane. We were supposed to arrive in Tampa before 10 but wound up getting in like a red eye at 1230 am. Lost out on our ride home and we were so exhausted. I cried most of this flight home 2 1/2 hour flight. Nice staff but crappy plane. I am waiting to get a call to get reimbursed for my loss of time at work and the missed ride home.
