How can we get assigned an A seat when booking a flight ?
I was very pleased with this trip from Anchorage to Seattle and Seattle to Billings. Wheelchair assistance was rendered and gratefully accepted. Unlike my outbound flights to Seattle I did not have long, painful walks on a bad knee to get to airport gates. My thanks to the Alaska staff.
No issues at all other than the seats. Of all the airlines I've flown on in my life (this was my first with Alaska Airlines), these were significantly the most uncomfortable seats I've had - more so than Spirit Airlines. I'm a relatively young guy and mostly fit but oof, i was aching in muscles I didn't even know I had. Not sure if the seats are standard for the plane (if it even works like that) or if the choice to use cardboard as cushion and 90 degree angle back rests was a decision, but it wouldn't honestly make me think twice about flying with them again. Other than that - perfect flight. It was quick, crew was nice, ride was smooth so all things considered I appreciate the last minute availability offered after a sudden relocation on my part.
Short flight was fine, but no entertainment and bathrooms broken.
All went smoothly. Only one delay departing Seattle of around 30 minutes.
We were in 1st class. Haven’t flown 1st class in over 35 years. This was special trip. 30yr anniversary and family travel. Food was good for airline food. Crew was very attentive.i expected easier movie access. Had to use own device. Second leg with Hawaiian airlines was exceptional in every way.
I paid for a window seat and on both flights I was put in the middle seat. Then on my flight to seattle I had to sit next to a passenger with a cat. I'm allergic to cats. So I sneezed, and had a running nose all flight.
Since the flight was delayed, snacks and water were provided.
Would have been nice if my flight was on time and I didn't miss my connection and had to spend the night in Seattle, losing one night at the VRBO I paid for in Sitka. And, my connecting flight was still at the gate when my flight was taxiing to it's gate. But, it took off. Too bad for me. I really can't believe you even want me to review or comment on my experience.
Upon arrival I was disappointed that the assist I requested to get to the baggage claim wasn't provided. The entire baggage area was not clearly marked and I wanted to store my baggage overnight, that wasn't available. I had to take it on the shuttle to the hotel!
Alaska Airlines crew had the empty two people seats but they lied to us and said they can adjust us , so we have to seat apart
Ok but why they need to sell the ear buds?
Our flight was delayed, which I know things can happen. The bathrooms were dirty and a mess. It took over an hour to get our bags after the plane landed. Every flight was on the same 2 baggage claims. You would thing if we spent over 5 hours on a flight we would get more then a tiny bag of pretzels. The movie and tv choices were mid.
Your Hawaiian airlines record locator number did not work! I could not check in in advance at either Hawaiian or Alaska airlines website and had to wait on long lines to check in at the airport. This caused considerable stress and I was worried I would miss the flight and thus had to arrive even earlier than otherwise. Finally, I wanted to change my flight and could not do so because no record locator was recognized for me to make changes. This was a very poor experience. Also, I could not go in and check or change my seat assignments. I was assigned a window seat, which is my least preferred location, and which I have not flown in for years. Please advise as to what kind of customer service gesture you can provide to make up for this below par experience.
The flight was great! The flight attendants were friendly and attentive. I would definitely fly Hawaiian Aurlines again!
You have to buy the ear buds and they only offers little cup of water twice.
Boarding area in Seattle was super busy and tight due to the layout.
The flight was very smooth and the landing was AMAZING! I have flight anxiety and it didnt peak once! :) Thank you to the pilots and crew!!
Boarding was confusing. Why are families so special that they get to board first? They and their stupid kids take up all the space in the overhead compartments. Then I get stuck having to gate check a bag when I've gone to a lot of trouble to pack efficiently to AVOID checking luggage.
Pillows and blankets were nice since it was an overnight flight, but the seats should be larger and there should be more space between rows so we have more leg room.
