Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

I arrived 1 hour before the flight, but security was so slow I didn't get to the gat until 10 minutes before arrival. There were no gate agents present and despite banging on the gateway door and other Delta agents at the adjacent gate, no one helped me. I can only surmise that they had already given away our seats, which were award tickets, GAINED BY BEING A LOYAL DELTA CUSTOMER. The gate agents were unapologetic and useless at rebooking, and I bought a ticket from Southwest instead. As i was trying to get to my sister's wedding, and repeatedly told the agents this, their behavior was particularly abominable. DELTA, YOU'VE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER."

The difference between Delta and all other domestic carriers is just overwhelming. United and American/US Air could learn a lot from Delta. I could have flown this trip direct on United, but chose to fly through Atlanta on Delta for less money and a better experience from the baggage check to the gate to the in-flight experience."

Cons: "Checked in Over 2 hours early for the flight and was given the row right next to the bathroom and in front of a screaming infant for a red eye flight. The crew talked, or rather shouted in their back of the plane seats for the entire red eye flight while most of us were trying to sleep. I'm not sure if they were trying to talk over the screaming toddler or the general plane noise but being able to hear every word of their conversation despite the aforementioned and with active noise cancelling on seems unacceptable. They should be trying to control chaos not add to it."

We had already boarded when we found out that the captain wasn't going to make it and that they were on hold with scheduling to try and find a replacement. Half an hour later they had us de-plane. From there we waited around for another 2 hours before a replacement was able to make it. They had us board again, and then we were waiting on ground crew to come push us back from the gate for another 20 minutes. It was a disaster. We got into Seattle almost four hours later than we originally should have. The attendants were short with all of us. Granted there were quite a few people who were being nasty. I understand that it wasn't in their control. But customer service is. They all fell short."

Cons: "We were part of the week when Frontier had a horrendous problem with on-schedule flights. We were two hours late for a 2.5 hour flight. At the gate, attendants were very poor at communicating. Couldn't hear them on the PA. Several people asked me "do you know what zone they are currenly loading?". They board weirdly - instead of back to front. When we got on (seated near the very rear) there were people seated everywhere. Slowed down loading, which slowed down departure. (2.5 hours late) Rows too close together, absolutely no leg room. Seats are the bare minimum - wouldn't recommend a long flight. Not sure I will fly with Frontier again. Will have to pony up the dollars for a better airline."

Much to my surprise the plane was very very small, the seats did not recline at all (horrible for an overnight flight) and the trays were so small I couldn't even fit my laptop on it."

Cons: "My inability to access their e-mail offers to set things up ahead of time and at lower costs than paying them at the airport check-in, above and beyond the baggage charges themselves (Seventy bucks), especially for my carry on ... COME ON! I've become used to Southwest's far more enlightened policies, which I obviously prefer. Since it also has flights between Seattle and Denver, I'll look much more closely at staying with them the next time I make this trip."

Frontier charged for carry-on bags, tried to charge for seat assignments (all of the available seats & not just the desired ones), charged for every beverage including sodas. Frankly I was surprised they didn't charge for water! Seats didn't recline at all & were like sitting on a metal folding chair for 5 hours. Food tray was about 3 inches wide, could barely put a plastic cup on it let alone a laptop or anything like that. Deceptive pricing combined with crappy accommodations - a combination I will avoid next time."

Overall, not an airline I would choose again as the "bargain" price turns out to be full of hidden costs that weren't clearly explained upfront"

I had to pay $1000 extra for this flight. Frontier really ruined my day and my finanicals."

Cons: "I had a pretty unpleasant experience with Frontier on 12/21/15. Rain in San Francisco caused flight delays. Go figure. Frontier kept us waiting for six hours then cancelled the flight. They were rude; they didn't help their customers, including families with kids, get on other airlines; said they would try to getpeople out of SFO in the next couple days! When I realized I would not get to the wedding I was trying to attend, they siad they wouldn't refund my money' When I insistedon a refund they then said there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee. Eventually, they agreed on a refund. Pretty poor way to run a business. On the other hand, when I needed to cancel my Enterprise car rental, I was able to do it in less than two minutes over the phone - no hassle."

Cons: "If it weren't for having had so many bad airline experiences, I would rate it lower. And hour delayed for a 2 hour flight. Frontier seems reasonably priced, until you factor in the hidden fees - $30 for a checked bag, $35 FOR A CARRY ON, $ to choose ANY seat. Not much legroom and seats didn't recline. At least they didn't lose my suitcase."
Cons: "A $30 ticket ended up costing me over $200 because of all the extra charges for baggage. Never once have I been charged to take my guitar on a plane but they wanted $60 at the gate. Not to mention that I flew Frontier with my guitar for free 3 weeks before this happened. I will never fly with Frontier again. Do yourself a favor and choose an airline that is upfront about what they will charge you for."

Cons: "I spent the entire day in the airport b/c they strung us along 2 hours at time. Then when the plane was finally ready they had to get a new staff for the plane and delayed us another 4 hours. Couldn't they have planned ahead and found a staff before the plane was ready?!? Or if they had just told us upfront the repair was going to take 8-12 hours we could have made use of our day. Losing a whole day of productivity when you own a small business is catastrophic. Frontier really screwed me over."

Cons: "Paying to sit next to my husband, delayed, got in late and had to sit there for another 45 minutes so instead of getting off at 7:30 it was about 10:00. Crew was rude and pushy and the tray tables were half the size of normal airplane tables."

Pros: "To begin with, the charges for carry on baggage, soda, or a small snack was surprising. My flight with frontier vs another airline only saved me about $10-15 dollar. Frontier certainly made me feel silly for trying to save $10 by charging for everything! Also, the women announcing the boardin order did not enunciate their words clearly so most of us passengers were clueless as to what was being said. After boarding, the flight attendants spent much of their time in the galley loudly discussing their disgust with the customers on the flight. I was not comfortable asking for any assistance as I felt they may also start discussing me. The pilot was good and navigated us through choppy weather with ease."

I believed I was getting a great deal, but in actuality I was being charged just as much as any other flight. The ride may have been better with another airline because the seats where compact, hard, and immobile. It’s definitely was my best experience."

They said they were going to read off the names, when I saw them flipping through and not reading the names, I asked why, to which they responded “because it’s hard to read”. Well, they aren’t going to read themselves. Either try, or spell it out. Or call out confirmation numbers. Eventually they got them mixed up, gave up, and asked us to come up 1 at a time so they could find ours."

Old planes. Never ever again will I give them my money."
Cons: "Children (3 within the age of 8-12)unattended left to pull on and kick the seat in front of them, loud arguing that was never addressed. My hair was pulled several times when they would grab the top of the seat to stand up or just harassing each other. I also witnessed them on cell phones that were not in airplane mode and never once did their parent reprimand them for their behavior. I had to do this from the seat in front of them. When the flight landed the entire family talked loudly about pushing their way off the plane to get to another flight, little did they know others had connecting flights to reach as well. Poor behavior & left to make others have a worse flight"

Cons: "THERE WAS NO FLIGHT FROM DALLAS TO FLL. We never boarded that connecting flight. I was one of the lucky ones that got a ticket to Orlando and moved to FLL in a BUS!!! The flight to Orlando was also another nightmare, when we landed Orlando, the bus took 2 hours to arrive to the airport plus the 4 hours to get to FLL. My experience was a complete nightmare. I arrived to destination 8 hours after the original plan. Needless to say that I am not flying with Spirit anymore."

Our crew member cared for a sick passenger so tenderly it was quite moving. She was as a mother to the entire passengers as the same time. Responding fast with a smile, cleaning up seats and area while gently dealing with other rude and upset passengers."

This was my second time flying with Spirit & 1st experience was similar. My return trip will be with Spirit again. I recommend Spirit!"
Pros: "I liked the spaciousness of the seats, and in general the cabin felt a little less cramped than some planes. Great ticket price. I liked the crew a lot, friendly, quiet."
Cons: "Boarding was confusing, there were too many people whose zone wasn't called waiting around the entry way. This crowd appeared to be the line but in fact wasn't. No Spirit employee was around to help avoid it. This wasn't a real big deal but some airlines avoid it with a simple announcement, asking those who haven't been called to remain seated. I would suggest Spirit does something similar. I don't like all the extra charges, for example for a second carry-on, but I get it, it's your way of offering cheap flights. I gave the food and entertainment only 3 stars just because of the charge, I didn't actually purchase anything."

This was my first time flying on Spirit and I asked for a pillow and the response I received from the Flight Attendant was "What!....we don't have pillows" Another reason I was unhappy was because on my connecting flight from Texas to Chicago we were delayed on the plane and NOBODY told us what the problem was and why we were not moving to the runway. After 42 minutes we were told "we are waiting for paperwork from Maintenance" that is it! Not how long they expect the wait to be or come around and offer us some drinks or snacks. The Flight Attendants DID NOT even walk the aisle....not even once! We finally took off after 75 minute delay. It was if we were on the plane alone...this is not how I would have handled the situation. I also obtained the Spirit credit card to rack up some miles, but not I am giving it a second thought!"
Cons: "I purchased the Spirit ticket because it was ~$30 cheaper than my other options. I was okay with the connecting flights for the savings. Silly me, I didn't check the fine print-- Spirit charges to CARRY ON a bag. Both ways. The $30 I thought I saved was quickly erased when I ended up spending $90 to carry a duffel bag on the plane. All FOUR of my flights were delayed by nearly two hours. Seats were thin, sparsely padded, and cramped."

Cons: "Denied boarding on the return flight because we arrived at the airport 35 minutes before the departure. We paid for baggage fees and seat assignment fees although we were denied boarding on the flight. While I do accept responsibility for arriving so close to the departure time, I do not like the lack of consistency between DFW and MSY. To explain, we arrived rather late for the outbound flight because we had to drop our dogs off at the kennel. However, we were allowed boarding in the DFW area, the flight was actually boarding upon our arrival. We ended up having to rent a car, drive home, missed a day from work which results in a day of loss wages. Not a happy camper and will not book with this carrier EVER again!"
