Cons: "Cancellation of Shenyang-Guangzhou flight on the same day was not notified in advance. I had to postpone the trip. I hope that this situation will be notified by phone next time. No matter what country's phone number is"

Pros: "Plane left late from Manila and was asked to run to catch the connecting flight to LAX. Monitor did not work. Flight attendant/s were rude whenever their asking to stow away foot rest. Never say please. When I got to LAX, I needed to wait for the very last luggage for me to find out that my luggage was left in Guangzhou. No apologies whatsoever and was given a direction to file a report. Very sad experience."

Cons: "We were left on the plane for over 6 hours without taking off before a 13 hour flight. The captain only came on the intercom once. All he said at that time was "sorry for the delay,";no explanation. The flight attendance kept saying 20 mins. The captain locked the crew door so the crew also had no idea what was going on. The 6+hour delay wasn't the problem. Things happen. The problem was the non existing communication. I read the the regulations for delays like that on their website and it stated that after 4 hours they have to give us the option to get off the plane. That didn't happen until 30 mins before we took off. It also stated that the captain needs to keep us updated every 30 mins. That again, didn't happen. People were hysterical, for obvious reasons. Ithe was the worst flight I have ever taken."
Cons: "I'm small, only 5' and very surprised by how little legroom is available on the A321 plane from CAN to ICN...a much taller man sat on the aisle seat and had to keep one knee out at the aisle during the flight."

Pros: "Guangzhou airport crew Helped us to change domestic flight Guangzhou-wuhan to international flight Guangzhou-wuhan-San Francisco so we can come back to SF on our schedule. My son lost his homework folder in the aircraft. A crew called me back to let me know he could not find it."
Cons: "Guangzhou to Wuhan flight was changed to afternoon without notifying us so we could not connect the flight to San Francisco. I did not know Guangzhou to Wuhan was domestic flight and needed to check out luggages and check in luggages in Wuhan until we arrived in Guangzhou airport. We were lucky we could change to international flight Guangzhou-Wuhan-San francisco. Otherwise we could not come back on time. It's horrible. The ticket did not state we need to check in/ check out luggages twice and guangzhou-Wuhan is domestic flight which always changes schedule without notice. We won't buy this type of flight anymore."

Cons: "There were several open seats in business and economy comfort class. However, the airline would not upgrade seats without paying a $1000 fee. Consequently, there were several open seats in business and economy comfort class that were vacant on a 14 hour flight. This is bad practice and a missed opportunity to delight customers without any additional expense."

Cons: "We got inside to the checkin desk finally after waiting in horrible traffic and lines just to get into the airport. The checkin staff had already left the desk with 1 hr and 10 minutes before the flight. The guy at the information desk came to verify. After making a scene the police/security finally agreed to get someone on the radio. They refused to come back to get us and we were not allowed to go through security. We were told to go to an office in another building but the door was locked, no one home. We continue to fight but couldn't get any progress, missed our flight and ended up spending 10 hours in that airport and then having to wait an extra 10 in China for our missed connection. We went to the office. They refused to help us. Made us pay cash, couldn't take credit card, had to take out 3 different withdrawls, couldn't rebook us, had to call a downtown office. And basically said we were liars and we weren't there on time. Even though they only had the 2 employees working the entire airport for this airline. Still no power in the seats, no wifi, ended up missing an entire day plus the travel day that I was meant to be working. Travel insurance wouldn't cover because it wasn't a "strike" I don't know what else you call it when someone decides not to do their job."

Cons: "My bag didn't make it on the plane apparently and I have to wait 2 days for it to come. I don't know what happend or why they didn't put it on the plane. I am very upset!!!"

Cons: "They bumped up our flight by FOUR HOURS and never notified us! When we got to airport early, there was absolutely no China Southern staff to be found. Ourselves and some other people who were in the same predicament had to fight to get out of there after we were redirected to other airline staff. They finally threw us on a flight to Bangkok (not part of our plan) and we had to roam around the Bangkok airport searching for the China Southern business office. When we finally found it, we spoke to a woman who apologized for the "inconvenience" couldn't explain why we were never notified of the flight change, and didn't seem to understand why we were upset. She also refused to let us speak to her manager. She told us it was the responsibility of the online travel site we purchased through to pass along any changes in schedule, but when we both called our respective online companies, they told us it was the airline's responsibility. The China Southern check-in counter only opened 2 hours before boarding, so we had to sit on the floor outside for 4 hours before we could even enter the airport. They re-booked us on all of their later flights, so we had long layovers, much later flights, and all got home a day later than we planned. All in all, it was the most stressful, unhappy travel experience I have ever had. I will never fly this airline again, and I would discourage anyone else from it."

Pros: "whem I arrived on the aircraft I requests two business class seats which was available and we got it, two other passengers came requesting up grades to business class and was told that no seats are available. This was when boarding was complete."
Cons: "When the aircraft took off, I saw air hostess taking turns to sleep in business class seats that was available. Their was three seats available which was kept back for the air hostess to use personally and passengers were refuse the up grade."

Cons: "Customer services really sucked! All the flight attendants don't even speak proper English and you cannot use any mobile devices or laptop during the flight, even if it's on airplane mode. Overall, I would suggest checking out other airline options before you pick this one."

Cons: "First they cancel my flight but they didn't send me an email neither call me to my chinese phone number so I got to the airport and I realized that my flight was cancelled. When I was in the airport they didn't give any answers and they changed my flight two times. The staff doesn't really speak english and most of them are really rude."
