Cons: "I almost missed the flight because I didnt hear the announcement for boarding and I was sitting near another gate to charge my phone. Fortunately I heard the final call!!"

Cons: "The boarding was the worst I’d ever seen! No structure, only 1 person was taking tickets to board and would stop every third person to go back to the counter and checkndomething, holding up the entire boarding process. We were supposed to start boarding at 8:05, but started at 8:35...."

Pros: "Direct flight to JFK using Delta. Was not aware that I was NOT flying on West Jet therefore encountered problems searching for a way to check in online. Ground crew airport check in at the Delta counter and at the Boarding gate was helpful and efficient. However request for Special Assistance in Toronto was poorly handled. We did not accept the conditions offered to us as one wheel chair operator had to push 3 passengers and I had to wait for him to return to me after two people were brought to their gates. My Husband had to wheel me in to my gate."

Cons: "Arrived to the airport over 2 hours early and was told that my husband and I were put on standby because Air France overbooked the flight. I told them this was unacceptable - we had purchased a ticket and had seats reserved. And, typically if a flight is overbooked, the airline will offer a later flight option to everyone at the gate with an incentive to change it instead of randomly choosing passengers to bump off. They were rude and unapologetic and instead of putting us on the next flight 2 hours later, they made us stand at the counter for over an hour until they waited for all the other passengers to check in. Then 45 minutes before the flight took off, they told us that 2 seats opened and we would need to run through security and to the gate in order to get it on time. They also didn't have seats next to each other -- so the window and aisle seats that we had reserved were given away and we both had middle seats on opposite ends of the plane. Even though they acknowledged that we did everything right and they chose us at random, Air France was completely unprofessional and rude throughout the entire process."

I was very upset over having to pay a $350 change fee so I could board a plane an hour later that was less than half full. If Porter had any decent customer service, they would've been happy to put me on another plane like any other airline with no fee."

Cons: "I didn't like how my flight was delayed for 3 hours because of rain that wasn't in the area of where I was or going. FOR BOTH OF MY FLIGHTS! I didn't like how I was offered a $50 voucher for being diverted to Hamilton after all that time, which I was originally told that was good for a year and then found out it is only good for 6 months and non-transferable. Now I have a voucher I'm not gonna use in the specified time frame nor gan I give it to someone who frequents the airline."

When I got off in Halifax, new passengers boarded to go to Ottawa...? Why remove an Ottawa bound passenger so you can replace with a different Ottawa bound passenger? Not cool Porter...."

Cons: "I booked an emergency ticket in the morning for a late flight to get in to newark for my sister's surgery the next day. The flight got cancelled, no email sent to me even though service counter people kept saying that they did. I am at the airport in a long line with only one counter open and the rep not even bothering to help me. I am a 60 year old from another country and have knee problems. Thankfully someone took mercy on me and helped me out to catch another flight so I could leave. Its unfortunate that flight cancellations happen in such a way without making sure the passengers are all contacted and alternatives made for them. it is also unfortunate the airport only does porter airlines and there are no other flights that can be made available when flights get cancelled"

This meant that I was stranded in Billy Bishop airport, which is a very small airport without much to do, while waiting for updates. Updates typically consisted of, "We should be able to board in about 10-15 minutes once the plane cools down." and then we would wait another hour for an update. We were offered a $50 food voucher for the small cafe 5 minutes before the cafe closed up shop. We were also offered a $50 voucher on Porter Airlines, which is an airline I have never flown before and don't intend to fly again."

Cons: "REALLY don't like the fact that international passengers who aren't US or Canadian passport holders can't web check in and reserve seats online. Couldn't you at least allow us to reserve a seat, if not actually web check in in advance? That way we wouldn't get relegated to crappy, leftover seats after everyone else has had a go at them! Finding power plug outlets for laptops in your Toronto lounge is a challenge. Elderly people have to bend down, peer under chairs, if they're lucky to see an outlet. Please consider designing accessible outlets that don't require strenuous bending, and a larger number of them. Disappointed that you don't as yet have European and Southeast Asian airline frequent flier network tie-ups. Qantas is good, but limited."

Cons: "Travel home was a nightmare. I checked in. Went through security. Went to board and a glitch happened in their system with my layover. They checked me in 5 times and on the 6th a total meltdown. I was now a security issue. I've never been arrested or even have the slightest past. I am a thin woman carrying a banana bread and bagels, which I offered to relinquish as my personal item. They couldn't figure out the glitch in their system and didn't want the plan to be delayed so they started to let it begin the take off process. I asked, "WHAT ABOUT ME???" They said they'd put me on the next flight out. I knew it was canceled, so I told them that was a bad plan. They knew as well, but were trying to let the plane go without me. The main agent was awful. So rude and did not care if I was stuck in Canada all night for their technical issue from a 1pm flight. Some angel flight attendant overheard, put her foot down, hand wrote me a ticket and ran me on the plane. Got to my layover in Toronto. Spoke with a manager about the issues, she said they were all cleared up. Tried to board the plan, same thing happened again. No one in either airport knows why, but they all admitted it was an issue in their computer system and not actually with me."

Cons: "I had to get searched by crew twice even with the delayed flight it was random even going through all the proper procedures of checking in with my carry on luggage and etc. It was not organized and I got the run around and I just felt like not a valued customer. When boarding the flight I got passed over with beverage and snack. My neighbors next to me looked at me with concern and I just ignored it and didn't want to ask because I was already bothered by my whole experience coming back to New York."

Pros: "The women at the boarding kiosk were very good as they helped me to avoid the lineup for rebooking my flight. It was fast and rebooking through the website. Avoid calling them."

Pros: "A few days before our flight to Halifax which was originally scheduled with a stop over in Toronto, we received an email from Westjet that they were putting us on the direct flight. This enabled us to avoid the Toronto bottleneck and get to our destination on time. Thank you Westjet."

WestJet terminal crew were flustered and uninformed. Terminal 3 at Pearson had inadequate seating. Sitting on the floor for hours isn't appreciated."

I had to wait at the airport for hours without any sort of compensation. I feel WestJet's customer service is in par with that of budget airlines such as Ryanair or Spirit airlines."

I needed to add my 2,4yr old to my trip.The Aromexico agent wanted to charge me over 1000.00 for the two children, to travel with me even though online the tickets were $200.00.They would not let me book my tickets online because the children were minors even though my ticket was already bought. I ended up purchasing tickets on delta to get to Cancun. However I was under the impression that I would return with Aeromexico on the round trip ticket I had already bought.NO! according to Aeromexico even though you buy a round trip ticket if you fail to use 1 leg of the trip you loose both ways WHAT! Then they refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor it was hands down the worst experience I have ever had with an airline in the 30 yrs that I have been traveling internationally. I would paddle boat rather than use this air again."

Pros: "Aeromexico stole my money and never let me board a flight. My initial flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues after a 3 hour delay in the airport. At this point it was 3AM and all passengers were told to call Aeromexico's support number to re-book their flights. Aeromexico staff does not speak English well and when I asked them to speak slower I was cursed at and hung up on. I finally called again and was given 2 options: agree to a flight that would DESTROY my vacation or get a refund. Scared and exhausted, I told them I didn't understand, and the flight didn't work, and guess what, they re-booked me anyway, and said that since I was re-booked any change to my ticket would entitles them to my entire $1,100 fare. Aeromexico is a criminal enterprise. Never book with them! Kayak, you should cut all ties with this airline!"

Cons: "After the announcement at the gate to prepare to board, we went to wait on line (Group 2). However boarding did not begin until more than 45 minutes later. I did not appreciate standing in line for that long. There were no announcements from the gate staff about the delay. This seemed disrespectful to the many people waiting on line."

Cons: "I had purchased a ticket to fly from Puerto Escondido to Mexico City on Thursday, November 24. When I arrived at the airport, I came to an airport that was "shutdown". According to a few people I spoke to, it was because of a protest. I was not emailed or notified that I was wasting my time and money trying getting to an airport that wasn't flying out any planes that day. I was very distraught and disappointed because I am a foreigner and there was no representative front the airport or airline that this was happening and what's are the next steps I should take to get on the next plane back to United States. I spent hours and hours calling Aeromar about rebooking my flight for tomorrow so I can get out of this city. It was a nightmare on the phone because it was like the employees were trained not to help. I was told it wasn't their fault, and I need to call aero Mexico to get this straightened out. Not one employee from the many I spoke to consistently throughout the day tried to rebook my flight. They wanted me to pay for another flight which is absolutely ridiculous. I missed my flight because of some protest, something not in my control, and i kept being told too bad. I did not get offfere one solution by your staff. I was left to figure what I was going to do by myself. I didn't leave Puerto Escondido until 24 hours after I was suppose to and it was not by the help of your staff. Because of this, I will highly consider not buying tickets from this airline of their is any other option because it was an awful experience. One of He aero Mexico employees told me to stop acting childish because I was upset about missing my flight for reasons i didn't control. The customer service for aero Mexico was worse then aeromar. They kept blaming aero mar and kept saying they need to figure everything out, yet these two airline work together. Aero Mexico is the one that helps get the flight to other smaller cities. All around I had a miserable day and not one person I called from aero Mexico, like aero mar helped me or offered a solution."

Almost missed flight to NYC due to no display of: departure time, which section of Terminal 2 to be in, gate number displayed on departure screen. We were also mis-directed by Aeromexico employees MULTIPLE TIMES WE ASKED that we were in the "right place" when our actual flight was in a DIFFERENT section of the terminal. NO INFORMATION about gate # was displayed in the section we were in. HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN WE WERE IN THE SAME TERMINAL?!!!! No markings noting which area (M? S?) in the terminal. Flight crew not very friendly. Very brusque manners."

Cons: "I'd been warned that Aeromexico is notorious for baggage weight overages. When returning to JFK from Mexico City, I was lucky with my checked bag, but when boarding the flight, an employee had me put my carry-on, my purse, the heavy wool coat I had removed during security, along with a 1.5L bottle of water and other items I'd purchased in the terminal, on a scale, then declared my carry-ons were 4 kilos over the airline's allowance. I then had to head down the terminal to a customer service desk to pay ~$60USD so I'd be allowed to board and not miss my flight. I was the last person on-board. They didn't do this at JFK on my 1st leg of the trip, as I suspect they know they'd never get away with this in the States. I spoke to employees aboard the flight, then at JFK upon arrival, and also on the phone. No luck yet regarding a refund for highway robbery."

Cons: "The JFK airport has no connection between terminal 1 where the domestic flight arrives with terminal 4 where the international flight zone is. I had to take a train from terminal 1 to 3 and then go outside the airport, walk on the street for 3 blocks and get into the airport again. Once inside terminal 4 nobody could help us (we were 20 people doing the same connection) and we went from one person to other asking what to do next and nobody knew. We were so afraid of losing our flight. Finally one police person helped us and we had to pass check point again when we had to take our shoes and be scanned again. Then we had to run because the plane was leaving. This was the worst traveling experience in my whole life. I tweet about it and I had no response."

Cons: "I was annoyed that I could not check in online or at the check in kiosk at the airport terminal. My family and I travel with carry on luggage only, but we still had to wait on a long check in line to get boarding passes even though we were not checking any luggage."

Why, e.g., didn't anyone go along the queue handing out numbers so people could get food then reclaim their place in line? Why weren't we told, ditto, how long this mess would take to clear up? why weren't we offered o/n stays, etc, etc. Could have done an awful lot better if some manager had spent two minutes thinking!!"

Cons: "The young child that screamed for the first two hours of the flight. The man in the seat behind me that coughed loudly constantly for 5.5 hours. No sleep on an overnight flight. Gluten free options not available for me and my wife. We tried to book these before the flight but we're not allowed access for this. Flight entertainment system froze and had to be reset, resulting in blank screens for the first 30 minutes or so."

Cons: "Not impressed with luggage fees that were not indicate but hidden in price - and all the nickle and diming on every little thing.. ruins the overall experience"

Cons: "Our luggage didn't scan in the system so we couldn't go to the gate until it was found & scanned in the system. Fortunately we were early so this wasn't an issue but kept us waiting at "step 2" until an actual photo could be found. We also had a delay after boarding while they changed a tire. It all worked out ok."

Flight attendants were pleasant. Everything was included (ie, food, free checked bags, earphones for TV) Great value for money."

Pros: "The process from start to finish was very well coordinated. Crew kept passengers informed of situation as they arises due to matters beyond their control while maintaining the integrity of Air Canada."

Cons: "The flight was originally delayed by 30 minutes.. reasonable considering the high winds in both NYC and Toronto. Things started going wrong after we boarded the airplane and then were told the flight crew had not yet arrived from LGA. There is simply no excuse for airlines not keeping sufficient standby crew capacity to minimize these issues. This is a clear case of the airline under staffing at the expense of its customers. By the time the flight crew arrived we were just barely able to make the 8:45 wheels up time for our clearance. The flight to LGA was uneventful until we landed. We were then told our gate was occupied by another plane, a delay that was initially forecast to be a few minutes turned into what seemed to be close to an hour. As a result, I arrived home to my Manhattan apartment at least two hours later than I should have. Flight delays happen, I accept them when they are for reasons that cant be avoided... I look for other airlines (such as united) when they occur for entirely preventable reasons and result in back pain from being trapped in an airline seat for 3+ hours instead of the 1hr 15 or so I should have been stuck in the seat."

Given a seat first in the exit row and naturally had to have that changed as I could not assist others. Placed even further back in the plane. It took the full three hours plus since deplaning the Austrian Air flight to get to the Air Canada gate."

At 4:50 pm, after over an hour of delay, it was announced at the gate that the flight was cancelled, that we had to pick up our luggage, and that we needed to talk with a ticket agent. At 5 pm I talked to a ticket agent who said that something was being done to accommodate us but that there was no information on the computer system. I should come back at 5:30 pm. I did and people were being told the same thing. At 6:00 pm, after having discovered that there was a WestJet plane leaving at 7 pm, I was told by the ticket agent that the system was still not showing me. I left an bought a ticket on WestJet and arrived in Toronto at 8 pm eastern. I am now looking for a refund."

Cons: "We booked a pair of tickets to fly YYZ-LGA. Only problem, my wife got bumped from the outbound flight(I swapped with her). This was despite having booked more than a month in advance, checking in the night before and arriving 2 hours early. To make it worse, we were told that I'd be able to get on the next flight out. So I sent my wife ahead and was then told that I couldn't make it on the next flight, or likely the flight after. Not ideal when you are heading to a wedding. They printed me a ticket for the 2pm flight (our orig flight was 8am). Through a stroke of luck I was able to get in the last row of the 12pm flight. I was offered compensation, but am miffed that our party was broken up (one was bumped), the staff at the gate gave me the wrong information and I wasn't able to be put onto an earlier flight. Further, I was told that if I paid for advanced seat selection, I would've made it on the flight."
