We were sitting there with no A/C and then they had to turn the power off. They tried and tried to fix the problem but it didn't work. Then everyone had to get off the plane and there were not enough seats the next flight and no other flights that night at that airport. We had to change the airport for am flights or fly out the next day. They offered to change the tickets but nothing else. Some passengers had to pay for taxicab and hotel for the night by themselves."

Once on the plane we sat for an hour without pulling away and were told the paperwork was not completed correctly and then they said they had too much weight on plane and offered 7 people $400 vouchers to take a much later flight. When not many takers the pilot or copilot in a threatening voice said well if we don't get enough people to get off then 40 bags would be left behind and arrive a day later! So a few got off. We all ended up having to get off after an hour and wait for another plane as ours had a mechanical problem the entire time and they didn't tell us that to begin with. So instead of leaving Seattle at 1:55we left over 3 hours later and didn't arrive in DC at 10:00pm but arrived at 12:30 am! That forced us to have to pay for a cab to Virginia as my pregnant daughter couldn't leave her sleeping 3 yr old home alone to pick us up."

Cons: "I had a flight with a connection starting at 6 PM on a Monday. At 5 AM the day of the flight I received notification that the first flight would be delayed, making connection impossible, I was prompted to select another flight to arrive to my destination. I chose a flight with a connection staring at 7 PM. Upon getting on the first flight we began to prepare for takeoff. After about 30 minutes the pilot notified us that we would be delayed 40 minutes because we had nowhere to land at my connection airport. I realized at that point that I would possibly miss my connection, which was scheduled at 10:20 PM. However, I did arrive at the connection airport around 9:40 PM which would have given just enough time to arrive at the connection gate. Unfortunately, upon arrival to the connection airport the pilot informed us that we would have no gate to de-board the plane. The pilot stated that all connections "were aware of our delay" and gave us the gates for each connection. I got off the plane at 10:15 PM and ran to my connection gate arriving exactly at 10:20. The gate attendants informed me that my flight had left, my bags were on the way to my destination city and that I would need to spend the night in the connection city. The attendants, appeared disinterested and impolite but upon prompting provided us with a hotel voucher for the night. The next day we arrived at the airport 2 hours before boarding and waited at the gate. When it was near the time for departure we were informed that the plane had been downgraded and requests were made for some to give up their seats for a later flight or check carryon bags to make room for other passengers. While some lined up to give up their seats and bags, those who chose to remain on the original flight were forced to wait before boarding the plane. We were then told that we would have to wait until the pilot and crew arrived before boarding. Scheduled departure time was 5:46 PM but the time got pushed back until we boarded around 6:30, departure was rescheduled to 6:50 PM. We boarded the plane and waited for departure but a few minutes later the pilot informed us that "he just got here" and that there were mechanical problems that would cause further delay. After an hour we were informed that the plane was not able to fly and instructed to go to another gate for another plane. Departure time got rescheduled to 8:30 PM. The plane departed after 9 PM and arrived at 10:30 PM for a 5:46 PM scheduled departure."

The last time I went to Europe I took WOW, the cheapest budget Airline and the leg room was MUCH better. You would think Delta could do better."

Pros: "The seats were the widest with the most cushion and padding I've ever had on any flight, I think all their seats were like that. The plane we were on had more leg room than your average flight. Also the backs of the chair were very tall, leaving even mpre head room perfect for tall people . I fly a lot and sometimes my knees hit the seat in front of me or when they recline it shoves the tray to close to you. Not on this flight there was enough room for me to lay back in the seat had the adjustable headrest that went up and down and also curved in to hold your head from falling on your neighbor next to you. Love the fact they had the USB plug-in in front of you. And the crew constantly kept coming through to empty trash and offer beverages. The plane was clean bathrooms in front and back of the airplane. Over all quiet engine and we were above the wings. Temperature good."
Cons: "The crew member that was checking in people at the gate would talk so fast we could barely understand what he was saying on the overhead announcement. I was traveling with someone who was hearing impaired so we were unaware of that they were getting ready to board. The electronic TV monitor wasn't updating to say boarding to notify people that would be helpful for the hearing impaired. Or--if a crew member is muffled on the announcement or talks too fast you can't understand or know what's going on. The most frustrating thing for me and my daughter we were both expecting to use Delta online entertainment. There are no monitor screens in the seats in front of us on this plane. So we were able to use our phones, but it would not download and once It finally downloaded we couldn't upload any of the movies. Connection speed way too slow. The warning said there were too many people on it at that time. Also I like it when they offer free headphones for people that don't have them. An example that would benefit people that don't want to listen to loud people on the plane or babies that are crying."

We were almost late to our next flight in Minneapolis to Raleigh which was also pretty upsetting. But, the service was decent, we didn't order any food besides the free complimentary drink & snack and the entertainment was very good. There was a wide range of films, shows, and podcasts to watch."

Cons: "5 minutes until boarding at JFK we were told to transfer gates; upon arriving by shuttle to the new gate, passengers were informed the aircraft was downsized and 20 people needed to be bumped. I volunteered since I had a flexible schedule so Delta re-issued me a ticket at 9am JFK for a 10am flight out of La Guardia. I trusted them I'd make it in time and they said they called taxis for us so we left to go catch them. Actually, no taxis were to be found so we had to call our own and were significantly delayed. I was in the first group of 5 people to be re-issued and arrive at La Guardia. Everyone else bolted but my new boarding pass didn't work and they actually didn't properly re-issue my ticket as I had been booked as leg 3 of my international flight from Malaysia. After they called three different departments including China they were able to print my ticket at 9:54am so I sprinted through the security and to my gate and was able to somehow make the flight as they were closing the door. However probably 14 or so of the original bumped passengers definitely didn't make it."

I was super excited to finally get upgraded! Then the plane had problems we were then again delayed and had to deplane. We were told this would be a 2 hour delay. I proceeded to try an get on the next flight at 8:20 while asking about a window seat the lady told me I would have to pay an additional $19! Well I had already paid $50. So the nice lady put me on that flight after I had already asked for window seat. She put me in the middle seat! I get that planes have problems and flights are delayed! There was so much bad yesterday then good and I feel like delta should know. It's more and more bad everytime I fly! Please fix these problems!"

We packed in small carry on just so we could avoid the baggage carasol. She could have Easily granted our wish and treated is in volunteer manner like everyone else. But no way."

It was listed nowhere on the departures screen and I realized I had to take an outdoor bus to the other half of the "c" terminal which was very confusing. I got there and had missed the connecting flight and stand in line for 20 min for someone to tell me that I would be stuck in DC overnight. At this point rain had started pouring and they told me that because my mishap was due to weather they would provide no meal or hotel voucher. Weather was not the issue and I was stuck in DC overnight by myself and not compensated for hotels or meals."

While their automatic message said they would reschedule my trip and call me with the new information, having relied on this before only to receive a recorded message two hours later saying they could not reschedule and asking me to call them, I called them right away - only to spend 90 minutes on hold. Then the AA agent tried to book me on two flights that ultimately did not have seats. Finally she booked me on a flight that was 24 hours later--and when I got to the airport, I had to spend another 20 minutes at the counter because, according the counter person, the AA agent did not get the details right. AA cancelled my flight and yet all other airlines kept flying. This is the third time I have flown AA and the third time that they have cancelled my flight and delayed my trip home by 24 hours or more. I've lost three days of vacation due to AA. I will not fly them any more."

I'm not even sure what had to be fixed since there wasn't even any entertainment offered after they fixed it. Once we arrived there were about 100 bags sitting in the bag claim and an equal number of people standing around waiting for bags. None of which was associated with our flight. Then it took forever to get the luggage out for our flight."
Cons: "My first flight was cancelled on Sunday. I was rebooked for Tuesday morning, and then thay flight was cancelled too. I was told there were no more flights to DC until Saturday, which was totally unacceptable for me. I got on standby to a flight to Philadelphia but had to rent a $220 rental car in order to get home at a reasonable time."

Cons: "We boarded the plane and waited for 15-20 minutes for take off and then the crew members told us that they had to do maintenance on the plane and that we could get off for an hour. We left the plane and waited for 20 minutes, then they said they had to cancel the flight and we had to take another flight. We went down to another gate as directed by the crew members and it was a wasted trip because that flight was full. Then we went back to our original gate and they finally said they will take off in 30 minutes. It was just a long day with miscommunication and frustration on both parties."
Cons: "7 hours late departure for the flight to be diverted to another airport. To get home I had to drive two hours from the diverted airport to DCA where I was headed. Along the way the crew was great, but American is run by someone who does not care about customer service. I won't be flying with American anymore."

Cons: "On the flight back home, AA cancelled my connecting flight, and did not bother to notify me, even though I have my account set up for them to notify me of flight changes. If not for the Kayak app on my phone, I would have flown to an airport where I may well have been stranded for hours, if not the following day, for a flight that no longer existed, since I had already checked-in on-line and would have gone directly to my first flight. Thanks to flight status monitoring by Kayak, I got an email from Kayak telling me that the flight was cancelled before I left for the airport so that I could go to an AA desk. They were particularly unhelpful and uninformed, and it was only sheer luck that I was able to get on the first flight I was on stand-by. I know this sounds like a commercial, but put the Kayak app on your smartphone and don't travel without it. AA will quite happily leave you stranded without it!"
Cons: "Now that American has completed their takeover of US Air, they have downgraded the planes on the CHS/DCA route to crappy little Canadair regional jets. Boarding/disembarking at DCA is via bus at the dreaded cattlecar gate 35X. What was a pleasant flight experience on US Air is now something to dread. Fortunately, Jet Blue also flies this route with full size planes and boarding gates."

Cons: "I had a 3 leg trip: Seattle to NY to DC to Seattle. First my early morning non-stop flight from Seattle to NY was cancelled around 5 PM the previous day. I was able to get on another flight with one stop and was stuck in middle seats for both flights - although I had paid for a premium seat on the nonstop flight that was cancelled. Then I got notified around noon that my 5:15 PM flight from NY to DC that day was cancelled. American left me a voice mail that they had automatically rebooked me for the following day without checking to see if that worked for me - despite that fact that they had other same day flights available! I was able to rearrange my schedule and get on an earlier flight - but was extremely unhappy with the short notice, and their assumption that I would be fine getting in the next day!"

Having to check roller planeside. Would prefer a larger plane. Plane could have been cleaner. Delay at DCA while waiting for jetway. Couldn't robots move the jetways to the planes?"
Cons: "Overall the flight was great. I was carrying a suit in a hanging bag and asked the flight attendant in first class if there was a place I could hang it. She politely offered to hang it behind the last row of first class since none were in use. When getting off the plane, I grabbed my bag as I walked off and the other flight attendant said "you can't put your bag there, it isn't for you" to which I replied that I was told I could use the hanger. She then said "well you shouldn't have been given permission, and don't do it again, it isn't for you." The tone was a bit rude, and maybe the consistency should be reviewed."

I had spent 11hrs total in airports yesterday. I could have taken that trip via car in 12hrs and saved myself $300 bucks or more. I am beyond unsatisfied with how my travel experience was. From rude united employees to a bad flying experience i will not use united anymore and frankly, me and all the other passengers on that flight should be compensated somehow for that experience. We were not given accurate information or updated with any frequency. We would be told more information is coming in 15 minutes, then sit for an hour and hear nothing. i could not update my driver that was at the original destination airport. While stuck on the plane at the new airport we were told we could not get off the plane or we would not be allowed back on and if we decided to get off and drive we could not get our checked bags. Snacks were not offered for hours and more than one flight attendant said they were out of everything and running out of water. When they finally offered food, full price was still the only option and they had everyone line up in the back of the plane, blocking both lavatories. Half way through the line we were told we could close the doors and prepare to take off and everyone remaining was sent back to their seat. We waited another half hour to actually take off."

Now I am told it is a Frontier responsibility and I am livid. It gets worse every trip. This time it took an hour to get our bags and it was clearly unnecessary. The first bags came out at about 30 minutes, but after that they dribbled out with no explanation whatsoever. Someone is a real laggard and they need to be fired! This experience was so bad that it takes precedence over our previous beefs. Boarding could be much better from back to front and the new seats are terrible, but like I said, if the baggage could be fixed, I would be willing to concede a few. At this point, I am ready to jump ship to Southwest."
