Pros: "Philadelphia-Doha was excellent and noticeably better than Doha-Bangkok. ood, service, condition of aircraft were all better in the PHL-Doha leg. I have done the trip a few times now so it is not a fluke. Odd that the Doha food (and I usually get the local dishes) is very so-so. I usually only take a bite or two. Not appetizing. The Doha-BKK staff was less professional as well. The trays of the main meal were left with the passengers so long, we passengers started to bring our own trays to the galley. The plane out of Doha was very tight so passengers in economy have that sardine experience. The cup holders did not work although they would have been useful."

And snack offerings were ice cream, potato chips, candy bars and a few apples (ran out of apples). Need more healthy options. There needs to be a more full meal/snack offering around the half way mark if you are going to keep people from grumbling."

They also pressurized us to decide quickly. our each check in baggage was over weight 1 KG or less than 1 KG due to faulty scale at home. Instead of giving us a choice or advice that you are allowed two more hand bags. They pressurized us to make one baggage over weight from all 7 bags and harassed us to do it quickly because they are closing counter in 20 minutes. That's how they charged me another $65. Also they lied on the counter that your seats are in a row but when i went into the plane our seats were separate. Lesson learned don't trust the person over the counter of Qatar airways."

I checked Lufthansa app and found that only flight that was shown was flight Toronto-Thunder Bay. After 3 hours of phoning I found that flight from Munich to Toronto wasn’t available for date that was given us in email. Only option was day earlier or later. Left us to take day earlier and we could not changed last flight( Toronto- Thunder Bay). We had to come on Aug 22. and stay in Toronto for 27 hours and than take a flight to Thunder Bay on Aug 23. We lost a day of our vacation, had to stay at hotel. Not good experience at all. We still don’t know whom to complain about that."

The seating in economy (seats 36A and 36C and an Airbus 330-300) was generous compared to other airlines we've flown recently (e.g., on a 777 with United on the way over, and that was "Economy PLUS!). The food was much better than the United flight, and really, it was almost too much. I'm home 14 hours after landing and I'm still not hungry. They were also very generous with the drinks and worked to keep us well hydrated with water and juices. The crew was very pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it was a great experience and I will certainly look to Lufthansa first for my next transatlantic flight."
Cons: "My one gripe was that it was very hard to hear the audio on the in-flight entertainment system. I even abandoned one movie I really wanted to see because I couldn't follow the dialogue. Also, I discovered late in the flight that the view screen pivoted and this would have helped in enjoying the videos more. Here's an idea for Lufthansa: how about adding "Tips" to somewhere in the Entertainment system to improve your seat, viewing, and other experiences. For instance, I wasn't aware that the head cushion on the seats were adjustable to better support your head. One last thing, on the entertainment system, it appears to be browser based, but sadly lacks a "Back" button equivalent."

"The plane was gross. Everything seemed dirty and had black smudges all over it. The plane was older and areas where paint had chipped off (on arm rests or interior panels) was repainted poorly. I don’t expect aircraft to be pristine but I was kind of surprised this one was still in service. The rest of the flight was fine. The plane was just yuck. Thank god they gave us wet wipes when boarding."

As a result the hour flight was an hour and a half. The pilot kept us informed and it was a very smooth flight. So even though I was over an hour late arriving I so appreciated the communications and the safer route. AA seems to be communicating more than other airlines and I appreciate that. Flying is absolutely no fun anymore so you take what you can get for the positives."

I was stopped in security and my carry on was put aside to be searched. It sat and sat . I explained to the man I had to go. He said he was working alone, so I had to wait. I was ready to leave it and just run to catch the flight, but the security man said I wasn't allowed to do that. He finally called someone else to search my bag (nothing found) I did make it...barely!"

Cons: "I was sat next to two verge large people that smelled and farted before pushback. One finally got up and left to sit somewhere else. The flight to SFO was fine until landing when they missed the landing and took an extra hour and 15 minutes to get to the gate. Passengers were scared for their lives! I was terrified at one point due to the lack of knowledge shared with the cabin!"

Cons: "I didn't like that my friends, who bought their tickets at the same time I did, with their own cards and checked in at the same time as me, didn't get a seat number. I had one assigned when my ticket printed out, after I checked in at the airport after they did. They had to wait until boarding was almost complete before they were afforded a seat. Seemed really strange. With United already having a bad name from recent stories on the news, it made us worry. Don't like worrying when it has anything to do with an airplane."

Cons: "No entertainment systems were working at all. Leaving San Francisco to kahului we had so many unruly young adults that were just out if control. They kept switching seats, spilling alcohol all over me and my stuff and the flight crew could not care less. We even had an older Asian flight attendant on flight 1749 that was just overwhelmed for the job. She would hand the person on the isle a handful of pretzels and say 'here, pass these out'. The other flight crew members made it worse by treating her poorly. You could tell they didn't like her and were agitated by her. Instead if being polite and educating, they were exasperated and impatient. Overall was super disappointed. I have flown United so many times back home to Maui and was always so please and excited to brag about how great United was. Not this time. Thanks for reading."

On that website I was not allowed to check in for my Lufthansa flights and i was stuck with seats I did not want in my 2 long intercontinental flights. This has happened before. Lufthansa has no option to check in online if my first flight leg is united. This is a very big drawback and also the reason I would not prefer to fly Lufthansa again. United is bringing the quality down."

The blanket given to my seat was in package but was used and very vile smelling. The flight attendant was very rude, had an attitude when I asked for a drink after I wasn't offered one. When landing and I was asleep, flight attendant hit my head to wake me up to adjust my seat to the correct position rather then in a polite way. Also luggage was not with the rest of the planes luggage and on a differnt carousel. I travel often and are use to glitches, but when cleanliness and attitude come into the picture those are things that can be controlled. I wish to no longer travel with United again."

They couldn't do anything about it so they put me on the next available flight, the next MORNING. So I had to go spend a night in a hotel which I had to pay for and wait for the next flight in the morning the next day. Next day the flight got delayed yet again this time little over 2 hours. So I would've missed the flight from San Francisco do Honolulu yet again. This time they managed to find a little later flight and put me on that but still had to wait at the airports for over 8 hours. Super mad about how United works... Had problems with my boss as well because I was supposed to work the next day but they rescheduled my flight for that day. Really not a pleasant experience..."

I paid an extra 300 than I had to to get to Hartford Connecticut at the time I chose when purchasing the ticket. Every plane was delayed. EVERY FLIGHT by at least an hour. I missed my connections and was rebooked twice. the average joe customer service lines were ridiculous with the separate priority line having first dibs. The first customer service man I met with was helpful and kind. With the exception of that man and one flight attendant on my trip back to Portland, every employee was indifferent, condescending and in some cases, actually mean. I say that seriously! (I can't believe it either). I am not a difficult person to get along with and I never showed upset despite the many mishaps I encountered on this trip. Customer service is so important and could have made up for the obvious poor planning and lack of communication by which united airlines functions. Unfortunately, I would rather fly any other airline if given the choice after this trip. Even spirit (and let me tell you, I've only flown spirit once and there is a good reason for that). So disappointing. I am upset over my experience and again, will avoid this airline at all costs in the future whenever possible."

As a result, when I asked both airlines involved (Brussels Air and Portugal Air (TAP) what to do, each airline blamed the other airline for the problem and each said it was my problem to fix. After speaking with ten people and begging them to make the problem right for a problem I did not create, they finally issued me a new ticket but I had to wait 24 hours for the new flight to leave. It was a total breakdown in communication and organization and customer support and problem resolution on the part of the airlines and the airport. I never want to fly these airlines again and never want to take a flight with connections."

Cons: "i went to the (galley?) at the back and politely requested a drink, a member of staff refused me because they were just about to begin serving drinks. that's stupid. i was sat right at the back of the plane and wouldn't get a drink for at least 20 minutes because service starts in the middle and works back. fortunately another member of staff (older, female) just reached over and handed me a drink, because she understood it was easier and quicker and more reasonable to do that than to be a dick about it."

We (family of 3) were seated separately, what made a huge stress to our small daughter. 4. There were no AC socket in Brussels airport (there were, but not charging) during transfer. 5. Poor management of the situation - they don't check whether the connection is *actually* OK, just use the timetable. Poor real-time handling of the situation. This flight is sometimes subcontracted out to WDL who fly various other flights for SN throughout the day, and so any delay elsewhere in Europe can delay this flight. Baggage priority ignored for Star Gold. Missed train connection on arrival in UK. Due to the above problems. In-flight staff OK but ground crew seem disorganised."
