When going home, I received a similar text with a delay warning and a new arrival time. It was the arrival time at the destination airport not the travel airport and I arrived 30 minutes after the flight had left and had to scramble to find a flight a different airline because Jet Blue had no one there and nothing leaving for over 24 hours and that was to NY not Ca. I can say I will not fly Jet Blue again nor use a booking service again, I will take my chances on my own!"

One could make the argument that it’s less safe as well, seeing how there’s no one IN the exit row to help open the window in the event of an emergency. I like Jetblue but this policy is likely to keep me from flying them if I can fly for just a bit more $ and have comfort."

Upon arrival in China the 144 hour travel visa was granted with no problem within minutes, but the U.S. staff was completely befuddled by the possibility. The interrogation was completely stressful and resulted in a reschedule of the original flight and during the second attempt at flying even an email from the U.S. consulate with a link to the Shanghai/Chinese government immigration site was deemed "not official enough". i will be expecting proper compensation. I was once given an $850 travel voucher for voluntarily giving up my seat, and was flown first class to Hawaii, given 4 star accomodation and then flown first class on to China within 48 hours. This was an involuntary bump from our chosen flight time, all because of a lack of knowledge about current visa regulations and international law on the part of the check in staff. We have been loyal Delta users for over 15 years, and this was the biggest blunder ever. Also humiliating and extremely frustrating, stressful and a big problem with fulfilling our travel plans between son and father."

There's more flight time options, and the entertainment available is better."
Cons: "Here's where the picky comes in. I downloaded the 'Go Go" wifi app beforehand. When I tried to connect I received a message that it wasn't available on my routes. Why couldn't they tell me that it might not work on my routes before they took my money? Further, why wasn't it available? It's not like I was going on a multi city/country trip, this was Atlanta to Portland non-stop. Then there's the 'Premier Seating". I opted for it on my outbound flight and received TSA Pre Check. I didn't buy the seating coming back; I did not receive TSA Pre Check. Coincidence? My fare was more than Alaska Airlines was offering it for, I paid for the wifi that didn't work, and in order to avoid the back of the plane, you must pay. So, I guess I'll be going to Alaska Airlines. They don't have as many flights, but I don't feel dinged for more money every time I turn around."

They sat there and watched me for an hour not telling me I could not use cash to check in my luggage at the gate after they told me it was double the amount to check it in at the gate. The sight u use on the boarding pass u download on the phone is not clear. It says baggage fee +$25.00. I thought it was 25.00 till the women in Phoenix showed me the + sign. She said “it is confusing”. I did not buy the ticket because it was for an unexpected funeral of my sister. My other sister did so I didn’t see all the stuff from Travelocity. After telling me it would be $50.00 the check in male and female at the gate saw me sitting there for an hour and never told me I couldn’t pay cash. By the time it was boarding time if a nice woman did not offer to use her credit card and I have her the $50 cash I would have missed my flight. The manager at the gate in Portland even told me I would miss my flight. The two check in staff at the gate said “well we didn’t know you only had cash” and they weren’t even concerned that I was going to miss my flight. It would of been nice of them to tell me this when I sat there for an hour after they told me They we’re doubling the price. I would of had time to go back through security, only pay $25.00 and the other nice passenger would have not had to use her credit card. Very rude and poor service especially after a sad occasion of burying your sister!"

So we did, but their earliest we could get us into Chicago was 9:30pm (original arrival was 2pm). We booked the arrangements only to find out that our original flight took off at 10:55 and American didn't even attempt to contact us. The cherry on top was that our flight (which was indirect through SFO) got delayed and we're now going to miss our connection in SFO. So currently looking at 10:30pm arrival in Chicago."

When my object came back shattered they informed me they don't cover fragile objects and I should have known that when checking my bag."

When the seat in front of me leans back, I can't even lay my head down on the tray table because the space is too small for me to bend forward. So I'm forced to sit up right on two long flights, the first didn't even have in-flight entertainment. I can't imagine someone bigger than me (5'4" 150 lbs) being able to even reach the floor if something was dropped."

The staff are friendly and the travelers in the airport are generally personable and in a good mood, which is a stark contrast to the majority of the nation's airports."

If you're using a site other then their website to book your tickets it's easy to think they are the cheapest option but they charge you for you bag no matter if it's carry on or checked and that brings the price back up to what everyone else is, if not more."

The attendant at the desk split the boarding pass and told us we could fly out the next day with a hospital release. I called Spirit to book for the next day and was told it takes 48 hours for approval. I told her we could not stay for two more days that we needed to get home so my husband could get additional medical attention and she said there was nothing she could do. Long story short- if anything goes wrong with your booking on this airline, in which everything is an additional cost, they will not help. We booked with another airline to get home. The Spirit experience was stressful and I would never fly with this airline again"

Cons: "I checked in online but needed to drop my bag off at the airport. There were only a few people in front of me in line but it took about 30 minutes for me to drop the bag off. There were several employees behind the counter that didn't appear to be doing anything. Once I dropped if off they said I needed to be to the gate 10 minutes prior to boarding. I was put off by their need to rush me when I was there far earlier than I needed to be, but they made me wait."

Cons: "Well let's start at the check in, so I got to an airport about 40 minutes before my boarding(usually what I do when I fly with Southwest), went on to check in my bag, once I got there the receptionist was extremely rude, as well as uneducated on the layout of the gates, as soon as my bag got checked in she threw it off the scale and told me to move on as soon as I asked her why she is being so aggressive with my baggage. Then when I was boarding there were no smiles by the crew, the seats were extremely uncomfortable, and I was waiting for a water for about 15 minutes asked a crew member again and she responded with "You are not the only passenger here, I will bring you your water once I'm done with other passengers" and for the 15 minutes I did not see her help a single customer. I am so disappointed in this flight that I am not flying with them back, instead I spent just a bit more and will fly out of Chicago with a different airline. Avoid spirit airlines at all costs!"

Also I am offended by having to pay over $50 dollars to take one bag on the plane each way. I won't fly with spirit again because it's just a dishonest thing to do!"

Cons: "In the Portland airport, it was hard to find check-in kiosks. While the airport had signs pointing to where Spirit was located, Spirit didn't have signs easily visible. I walked up and down thinking they had possibly moved when I finally saw the small sign. So, maybe it would be wise to have the same size signage as all the other airlines."
Cons: "Delayed flights (both ways), poor communication regarding delays by ground crew. Cramped seating (I'm 5'7" and it was tight for me). Sprit will be my last choice for flying going forward. Overall, a really unpleasant flying experience."
