Passenger care was horrible: Initially we sat on the tarmac for 4 hours, then transferred to a waiting station with almost no heat and no access to rest rooms or food."

In China, they said I should have done it it Amsterdam and had a 6-hour wait to obtain one. We only had a 12-hour layover and an 8-hour tour booked. We lost $360 because of this and the airline attendants in China were completely useless and nobody knew what to do. We spent 12 miserable hours in this airport."

There was barely any movies or shows to watch. The crew weren't very polite and spoke very limited english. You couldn't understand anything they announced on the intercom system because is was so distorted. The chicken dinner was disgusting. It looked like chicken in brown jello. The omelet was watery. The rice porridge had no flavor. The bathroom ran out of toilet paper within a couple hours."
Cons: "I reserved the wheel chair service but when I checked in at the counter with the wheel chair symbol, I was told they changed the counter to the other one which is far away and they also rejected to help me check in there. I had to move to the one with a long queue to handle those standby customers. This is my worst experience ever. The service of China Southern airline is becoming worse and worse. Never recommend again."

We were given a sticker to show that we were going to go on which I think was supposed to help us get through passport control faster. No one helped us even though we had stickers. We missed our flight to PEK and had to catch the next one. This caused us to miss our flight to LA. Not very happy. Why can't the luggage be transferred to the next flight instead of having to pick it up and recheck?"

Cons: "The 16 hour delay was horrendous. China Southern knew this flight was going to be delayed more than 12 hours before the scheduled departure. Yet, they did nothing to prepare for it. They began looking for hotel rooms after the departure time had passed. I was in the last batch taken to a hotel where I had a choice of sleeping on the tile conference room floor or sharing a room with a stranger. At least I got my own bed. Others had to share a bed with a stranger. There was no prior thought given to prepare for the situation, no meal vouchers offered, and the level of rudeness displayed by the airline staff was beyond comprehension. Delays happen. They are part of modern air travel. But, in many years of international travel, I have never before seen a delay mismanaged so completely.. Then to top it off, bags were left in NY."

Since we can't bring our own water I feel like more should be provided."

It was difficult to find my delayed flights on the departures screen. United employees didn't complain about helping me though."

After the plane was boarded at least 4 Crew members boarded the aircraft and started moving people around it was chaos. I'm assuming it was one of the gate agents that insisted a couple of passengers Exit the plane. I've honestly never seen anything like this. At one point I heard a female passengers use profanity when asked by her traveling companion "what is going on? where are u going" the woman replied "I being told I have to get off the plane there are no more F--king seats" My option the crew and or gate agents were irresponsible for boarding passengers that did not have seats! Get it together united!!!"

I missed a whole night in Oregon because of the delays and got in at 2 am into Charleston.. which was not ideal. I will not be recommending United Airlines. Also, for some reason the last flight was the coldest flight I've ever been on? I was tired, cold and miserable by the time I got to Charleston."

It read that the flight was on time, so I arrived a few minutes before the boarding time per the ticket and the flight was already leaving. So I had to cancel the flight and they re-booked the flight for the next morning, pretty late morning, which made me miss a scheduled day of work. There was also a child kicking my seat behind me so I had to move my seat in order to avoid any issues."

I paid extra to fly out on Sunday so I would be able to make my obligations, but didn't arrive until Tuesday night. No refund or voucher was offered, although I asked. It would be nice if they at least paid the difference between the flight I paid for and the cheaper flight I received."

Cons: "The only flight leaving Eugene that would get me to Dallas in time for an urgent meeting left at 5:25 am. The crew identified something in inspection that gave them a little concern, so they called maintenance to come and check it out to ensure we were safe to fly (which I very much appreciate). The issue I have is that over an hour passed (after the flight was supposed to leave), with them giving periodic updates that they had called maintenance and were waiting for them. Finally I asked the people at the counter, who were visibly embarrassed, where maintenance was coming from (this is an airport - shouldn't they have it onsite), and they conceded that maintenance was at the airport, but they had no idea where they were. This delay resulted in me missing my connection in Denver, which caused me to miss the meeting and the whole reason I was flying back to Dallas a day early for. I essentially paid over $400 for an extra ticket (I had to not use my one on Friday - because it was just cheaper to buy a separate one way ticket). I will never fly United again."

A Delta/united employee at the Eugene Airport (Collette) quickly and kindly moved some things around and got me a flight out only an hour later, upgraded me to comfort select seating, and some how managed to get me to my final destination (2 flights ) only an hour after I originally booked for. She did all this with a smile on her face while a worried guest (me) wasn't sure what he was going to do if it weren't for her impeccable service. Thanks Collete and United!"
Cons: "A few hours before flight time I was informed by email - not text - that "my flight" was canceled, which turned out to mean the flight went but I was bumped. I had to reschedule my entire trip for two days later (a trip to see a hospitalized relative). The affair would have upset me less if Kayak/United had simply informed me that they had overbooked the flight and they did not have room for me."
