It was so bad I had to upgrade to first class on the return flight because I just couldn't bear it again. I was not happy ."

Cons: "The attendant at the gate was rude. She asked for me to put my bag in the slot to see if it will fit. It fit, and she told me I still need to check my bag because I squeezed it in there. She told me that I either “had to check my bag or find alternative way home” . After when I was taking to the end of the jetway she wouldn’t let me take it and said she had to do it” the whole situation was handling poorly and I watched her be rude to people prior to me. Also the outlet at the gate didn’t work."

Pros: "staff was nice, but check-in is clumsy and inefficient"
Cons: "plane from Prague to Philly is ancient, still has the drop-down screens from 1981 and the radio station dial for listening in, but that didn't even matter as the video system was down for half the flight. No electrical charging capability unless you carry a car adapter with you. Overhead space was tiny. At least they had headrests, which is weird since the seats are obviously 30+ years old. Business class and first have been upgraded with new features."

I have had two trips in the past 5 days and all flights have been anywhere from 1 to 3 hours late. Worst experience with AA I have had in a long time."

Cons: "The flight had no pilot assigned to the flight yet the attendants still boarded us. Then we waited on the plane for an hour before exiting the plane. The attendants gave us little information on flight alternatives and when the flight was finally allowed to board again, they did not announce it and so had I not been waiting close by, I would have missed my flight. It was extremely disappointing but not shocking with all the scandals that have occurred this year with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying with them."

Pros: "Good flight, helpful staff and friendly crew. There was a flight delay out of Iquitos due to fog, causing us to miss our next connection in Lima to Cusco but the staff in Iquitos made sure we got on the next plane with new tickets and luggage transferred to the right plane. Naturally, we were disappointed with several hours of delay due to safety but were pleased with the service in resolving our concerns. There was no entertainment available on this trip ever through there was a screen for each seat."

Pros: "Everything ran on time, which was surprising because I've heard horror stories, but I was surprised. Would definitely fly again."

Pros: "When I arrived at the airport to see the scheduled 9:30a departure was pushed back to 1pm, the gate crew did a good job of keeping us updated and they even provided lunch! The plane was undergoing maintenance but they found another plane and did not have to cancel the flight, and ultimately got us to our destination safely. Crew was very nice."

I’ve never been treated so poor. She couldn’t be bothered with questions or concerns. I’m now out of my flight and all the money I spent on vacation. There is no customer service number to call with actual humans to talk to. No one works at the desk during the middle of the day to take concerns or phone calls??? Over all extremely disgusted and disappointed. I want my money for my flight returned."

The next guarantee direct flight to Chicago is Sunday night. This is the worst delay I have ever gotten. Will never fly Spirit again."

Cons: "After being told there was a mechanical issue with the plane (already nerve-wracking) we waited an hour to receive any additional updates. The flight crew then told us that the flight was "99% canceled." After that, everyone in the area got up to wait in line, but instead of helping people rebook their flights immediately, the flight crew just disappeared and never came back. I ended up re-booking with a different airline and had to call customer service in order to have my money refunded for that flight. I did receive two travel vouchers, but I'd rather just have the $100 because I'll never book with Spirit Airlines again. Not to mention the literal 280 emails I received the exact same email update over and over and over again telling me that my flight was delayed until the next day. That's right, they never canceled (as they should have) and just delayed it further and further. If I had just waited around for updates from the delay, I would have had to spend the night in the airport and miss work the next day (which I already had to do because I had to rebook with another airline). Thank GOD I didn't have any checked luggage or I really would have been screwed."

Pros: "Spirit usually is my go to airline for quick trips. I love the airline and the price is unmatched"
Cons: "I hated that you guys delayed the flight. Then cancelled it and I couldn't get put on the later flight without paying $120. It was infuriating. I was flying to a funeral and there were no other options but to pay money to make it in time for the service then next afternoon. I would have liked to have credit for my next spirit ticket or something because it was a lot to deal with on the way to a funeral."

Cons: "Charges for everything. $55 for a carry-on bag? Come on (fortunately, I had only a small backpack so I didn't have to pay that)! Extra charges if you want a non-random seat. Bullying at the gate ("If you haven't paid the $55 for your carry-on bags by boarding, I'm gonna charge you $100!!!"). Seats seemed even more cramped than usual. I found the whole experience pretty unpleasant and will generally avoid Spirit."

Pros: "My flight experience up to PDX was slightly better than the last time I flew Spirit, which gave me hope that they had improved as a low cost airline."
Cons: "My train was late getting to the airport so the flight had closed when i arrived. Even though I wasn't checking a bag they still wouldn't let me check in. They offered me the same flight the next day for an extra $100. I turned it down since I found a flight the same day for $78 on American (and decidedly a better flight experience)."

Cons: "The crew on the flight home was unprofessional as all get out. They threatened to kick 6 drunks off the plane before we left Las Vegas for being belligerent, loud, and obnoxious and then the crew proceeded to sell and serve them more alcohol. The crew sat back and did nothing while one drunk passenger antagonized another passenger and his girlfriend nearly the entire flight."

Cons: "This airline charges for everything, the seats are uncomfortable, the tray tables were tiny and dirty, the flight attendants have no idea what is going on, they push the spirit credit card (about a 15 minute pitch over the intercom), we had a five hour layover when other flights were available, and it was only a few dollars cheaper than other airlines. I will never fly with Spirit again."

Cons: "I travel very light to be charged a significant amount of money to put something in the overhead compartment is ridiculous"

Cons: "Crew not forth coming with assistance or answers. Had to pay more per seat when I called customer service than when I tried to book the seats on line. Could only purchase one thing online and needed customer service to help but either way I was going to be charged a higher rate for one or the other just for calling in. Will not fly again and passed my negative thoughts on to who ever else would listen. To bad you will lose customers this way."

Cons: "DId not enjoy all the announcements about jokes such as targeting college kids for credit cards. The boarding was slow. The entertainment was the crew who all seemed nuts because flying for Spirit is a nightmare probably. Everyone looks so tired."

Cons: "- flight was repeatedly delayed - customer service via phone was horrible - different flight times posted in various places (email alerts didn't correspond to flight status online) - everything on the flight, even pretzels or water or juice, cost money - too many hidden costs - everything was expensive & poorly organized - this is my last time traveling with spirit"

Cons: "Our flight got cancelled due to mechanica issues (not their fault) but then they had virtually no systems in place to deal with the situation. There was no dispersing of information on our options by the single present employee. We had to contact their corporate offices by phone which was a nightmare in itself, and even then they gave us the run around telling us we had to wait 36 hours for the next flight (although legally they are obligated to get us on a flight within 24 hours). You get what you pay for and these budget tickets came with budget customer service."

Cons: "The seats do not recline. They Charge you for everything If you have any Luggage Just Fly with Alaska Airlines Or Southwest It will be less expensive and a Better Flight in the long run"

Is it legal to allow a flight to leave early? - Very rude and terrible attitude, including flight attendants, counter and gate. - Very expensive upcharges for baggage, checked and carryon, and seats, I didn't dare not pay for a seat, otherwise probably would have been bumped. - Worst experience ever, I've worked in this industry for 20 years, never had such a bad experience - boo."

Pros: "After reading reviews, I thought that they would be overly critical on bag sizes, weights, rude and possibly a bad choice. I spent extra time making sure my bags fit their size and weight requirements. They weighed both checked bags together (mine and my co-traveler) - so the overall weight just had to be under 80#. The plane was newer and very simple. It wasn't a full flight so we had lots of room. Our return flight was much more full and that was when the leg room was tough because we have long legs."

Cons: "Designed to be thin for extra legroom, the Airbus 319 seats have no adjustability whatsoever. Fit with hard padding and a fixed curvature leave you with a backache by the end of your flight."

Cons: "Though the crew was friendly, throughout most of the flight the flight attendants gave pitch after financial pitch about the 'Spirit Credit Card' or the 'Spirit Programs'. The trip was nothing more than a big sales pitch to continue investing in the company. I understand that business is business, but this went too far. Furthermore, after one of my flights was cancelled due to weather, I was informed that the soonest Spirit could fly me out would be 3 days later. Understandably, Spirit is a small airline, so I'm sure this was not uncommon. When I asked to be transferred to another airline to leave sooner, I was told that Spirit was not responsible for getting me to my destination any faster. A woman at the 'help desk' then took a leisurely 45 minutes (while my flight was boarding) telling me that buying any other flight would cost me between $2,000-$3,000. Spirit airlines is treating their customers like credit cards to be swiped. The self-centered money-hungry culture throughout Spirit will surely be their downfall if swift action is not taken immediately."
