The crew was pleasant and they were always serving drinks and food/ snacks even on short flights although food is usual coach fare. All in all a very positive experience. Most of the North American airlines could learn a thing or two regarding punctuality, service and baggage handling."

People were gathered around the one agent, trying to re-book their flight, getting upset. Finally at 11, it was announced it would fly, nobody cheered because nobody believed it. It did fly and after collecting luggage in Bogota it was too late to get to the reserved hotel. Ending up spending the rest of the night in the airport to catch an early flight out. Avianca handled the delay poorly, very little communication and assurance, felt hostage to their bottom line."

We have never been asked to do this when flying with a baby before! This was after an hour and a half of already waiting to check in our bags. We were waiting so long and dealing with this issue for so long that we almost missed the flight! A terrible experience. Also, the web check in line took even longer than the line of people who had not checked in online beforehand! It was so slow, it added to us almost missing our flight. It was a waste of time to check in online, especially since they gave us new boarding passes when we checked our bags in anyway. We also had trouble finding both of our reservations, even though we booked them together as a family, so we ended up with seats that were not together. When we had an issue, we were given an attitude by the staff checking us in."

KAYAK and LATAM systems did not coordinate my reservation on the return trip. As a result, LATAM did not let me board on the first flight, and I missed all subsequent flights. Apparently, LATAM cannot manage a wait list. The best that KAYAK could do was to arrange the trip for two days later. I was caught between Kayak claiming that the reservation was all in order and LATAM saying it was not. An experience this bad is hard to tolerate. Of course, I will never use Kayak again. I'll avoid LATAM if at all possible. Remember when good customer service was a competitive advantage? Kayak and LATAM have forgotten.

Latam did nothing to compensate us for the days lost no did they even seem to care. This is one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. I booked a return flight on Delta and lost $1000 just so I don’t have to deal with Latam again. Any money you save on a flight is not worth having to deal with this company. Stick with reliable American-based companies with customer service that is up to American standards."

The attendants who are Spanish speakers but bilingual were delightful. We had one meal on each flight and 2 rounds of drinks. We had no issues with carry on or checked luggage. To summarize we had 2 perfect on-time flights with no fuss or drama. I couldn't recommend them more even if I tried.."

Pros: "Departure and arrival were early"
Cons: "paperless boarding did not work - there are more android users than iPhone, yet, the barcode does not show up on e-boarding pass on droid phones. Also, Spirit forces people to sign up for an account to get e-boarding pass. This was not the case with my AA flight the previous day. Tray tables were on a spring so anytime the person behind my lifted it, it snapped and startled me as I was trying to sleep. Crew did not make curtsy announcement asking parents of children to silence electronic devices so there was lots of kid music, beeping, and general noise that even my earbuds couldn't cancel out."
Cons: "The plane had very little a/c so was hot the entire trip and the seats are very hard making them very uncomfortable."

Cons: "Somewhat uncomfortable: no pocket behind front seat, just bungee cords. They charge for water. There is no entertainment at all. No movie, no magazine, no radio, not even funny announcements."

Cons: "Hours worth of delays. Didn't bother to make up for the trouble. It was a mess. With zero explanation as to why the flight was delayed in the first place. Last time flying with spirit. But hey you get what you pay for."

Cons: "I couldn't check in on line and the teller couldn't read my ticket number because the 1 looked like a capital I. She made me miss my flight by sending me to another counter where I had to wait in line. It cost me $100 and another day waiting for a different flight."
Pros: "Our flights left on time and arrived either on schedule or early. Our luggage got there with us both times. Boarding was simple and quick. Good Job!"
Cons: "Our departure date was screwed up. I don't know how. Anyway, to change it to the correct date (even more than a week in advance) they socked us with a $500 change fee. And dealing with their customer service was a nightmare. I will think long and hard before EVER flying Spirit or using Kayak again!"
Pros: "The plane was really clean and the attendants both on the ground and in the air were both efficient and courteous. I had read a bad report and was worried but m happy to say my flight and check in went wonderful as well as the baggage handling....good job spirit!!"

Cons: "The rows of seats are incredibly small, to the point the man in front of me leaped out of his seat and accused me of jamming my knees into his back. I was just sitting there and I think he was stretching back into my long legs. Really, there was nothing I could do because there was no room to move my legs out of his way. And the airline DIDNT EVEN OFFER WATER! And let's not forget that we weren't told ahead of time they charge for carry-on bags, so our affordable tickets went up $110 in cost. I will never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "2hrs late departing because of air traffic? I don't believe them. I saw a repair van on the tarmac. Seats are packed in VERY close and they don't recline. There's so little padding in the seat that you can feel the metal frame, so you're very uncomfortable. They sell everything they serve including water. There are no monitors so tv or movies are not even an option. Flight crew doesn't say good-bye, thank you or anything as you exit craft. I'm not sure what the attendants do other than offer to sell you water and tell you what you can and cannot do on their plane. They try to shame you into paying for your carry on and paying to book a seat, calling the seat they assign you "random" like they'll put you in the bathroom or out on the wing. When you get to the airport, you find the approved size for your included personal item is the size of your carry on. They don't check to see who paid for their carry on so only suckers paid. We will never ever fly Spirit!"

Pros: "I almost missed my flight, last one out of MCO that night (due to the horrible customer service of Norwegian Air) and your team did everything in their power to help me get there. I also had to leave my luggage with customs to make it, and your girl Ebony in baggage claim in ATL got it back to me in a day! You guys turned a truly frustrating situation with Norwegian into a smooth transition. Thank you so much!"

Cons: "I didn't know the drinks, snacks, and luggage cost extra until after I booked. But after learning that was kind of spirits "thing" it wasn't so bad. I would definitely fly spirit again on a shorter trip where minimal luggage is needed."

Cons: "Flight landed 30 minutes late and then we were delayed another hour with no explanation after being told it'd be only 10 minutes after the last person got off the plane. Unfriendly not even dating to border on polite."

Cons: "Flight was late for no apparent reason. Flight attendant rude & unprofessional when people are frustrated from waiting, bit he is making jokes and acting street or ghetto on the job. The customers are ignorant, fussing and bickering, getting smart with other flight attendant, who's doing her job. I thought it was about to cause another delay. I thought the cheap fare was a deal but this makes the saying "you get what you pay for", true. Never again will I go near this airline. I think the cheap flight attracts a class of people that otherwise would never fly. My flight home on Southwest was excellent, only 13 more with free bags. Spirit charges cheaper prices online than at the counter and higher prices than quoted during booking. I'm done. 5 thumbs down is what this airline gets."
