Cons: "I sat next to a creepy intoxicated man during my flight and I was not helped out. When I first sat down he was speaking to me and trying to hit on me but I showed that I wasn’t interested. I didn’t even have to sit down to smell the alcohol on him. During the flight he tried to place his head on my shoulder and tried to get close to me. I was too worried to call for an attendant because he was intoxicated but when the attendants would come and offer us food I tried to make it clearly visible that I was anxious and uncomfortable and NOTHING. To make it worse they continued to serve him alcohol!!"

After we boarded the plane we were told that no drink, snacks or food would be offered. The attendant shut off the lights as soon as we got in the air and kept it dark in the cabin until 10 minutes before we landed. She never came around to check on us once or ask if we needed anything. I was so thirsty when we landed. I have decided that I will either go back to United Airlines or check out the 1st class options at American Airlines better next time. This might not have been their fault, I'm not sure what it was, but the flight was late landing and we took off an hour late as well which really put me behind schedule."

We were stuck next to the jet bridge for about 20 minutes because there was no one to operate it; as a result, I arrived late to get on my next flight. They close the flight even though there were about six passengers having connection delays because of American, the company refused to let us in the airplane even though the flight was in the ramp for about one more hour for unknown reasons."

Cons: "The VERY first American Airline lady I met at Madrid airport who was like the first greeter. I was looking at all the different posted signs to see where to go and she says “hola” and i say “hola” back. She asked me which class i was in i said whichever the normal one is. All while im inching my way towards where i seem to already to know where to go. The lady kind of snaps at me and says “stop excuse me im talking to you.” I wasnt really walking away from this lady, i was inching towards what seemed to be i needed to go(and in fact was where i needed to go). I am fully capable of listening and moving at the same time. I dont need to be scolded like 5 year old child because she thinks I wasn’t listening to her. I was listening and progressing towards the place i need to be at the same time and also using two different languages in my head in order to talk to her. So that is just what i would call mulitasking for a person and not grounds for someone to use a parenting tactic on another adult at 730am."

Flight crew allowed passengers to wait for the restroom next to the pilot access door. At least five times with single passengers waiting and once with two waiting. Crew said nothing. 3. Flight crew did not check seatbelts prior to takeoff in the forward section of coach. At least one seatbelt remained unsecured and one child had a backpack on his lap during takeoff. Very unprofessional crew. Credit card promotions over the PA system were very annoying and unintelligible."

Pros: "AA canceled our flight on 9/13 and rescheduled us to 9/15 for no apparent reason. There were flights leaving Orlando. When I called to ask why since all I received was a text message the customer service rep was rude. Then I received another text message on 9/13 at 4:30 am saying my flight was canceled and we were rebooked again!!! After calling again I was told if I want to leave on Friday we would have to leave from another airport that was over an hour away which means $225 in transportation to get us there! This is on top of the 2 additional hotel nights we paid for and additional meals. When I asked if we would be compensated for all the additional expenses we were incurring I was told it's weather related so probably not. I informed the rep that flights have been leaving Orlando since Tuesday 9/12 so that cannot be the case. She said to try to contact them online. UNACCEPTABLE. I will not fly AA again and I will not recommend them to family or friends. If I could give zero stars I would but the survey defaults to one star."

Cons: "Upon arrival to my destination, my golf travel bag came out of the oversized luggage area with the zipper wide open, my things rolling around, and my golf bag (within the travel bag) was completely broken. The interior bag is permanently filthy from rolling around uncovered, and the bag stand is broken beyond repair. When I left, the bag was securely strapped down with extra padding around the clubs. I received them dirty, broken, and unsecured. Upon my return home, the golf bag is now missing. The gentleman at the Frontier desk was doing his very best, but there were several travelers with missing bags and he was the only one trying to help anyone. Horrible service beyond the man that took my claim of lost baggage. I would never suggest someone traveling with golf clubs through Frontier. There is about $4,000 worth of equipment that I am now missing with no certainty of recovery. I'm going to hope for the best and follow-up meticulously."

Though I had verified on my boarding pass i had a service animal she continued to question me whether or not my dog was a service animal. I told her that the American Disability Act does not require me to show identification to anyone, that the only thing she is legally to ask is what type of service animal and what she is trained to do. Anybody can go on google and get a service animal vest and identification by many false companies without even presenting their dog to someone. She threatened to call the captain and i told her to go ahead. Instead she came back with what im guessing was a frontier handbook showing me that i was require to have a vest and id. I told her that that was not correct and she swore up and down that was federal law... a frontier handbook.. federal law. The american disibiliy act is federal. She humilated me in fromt if everyone in the back of the plane. I was si upset. I have hearing aids because of my hearing loss. My service animal is a hearing dog and i take her everywhere with me because she alerts me to things around me that i cannot hear. She is my doorbell, my ringtone, my alarm when i cant hear those things. She eventually let it go after humilating me and completly upsetting me. No one with a service animal should ever have to go through that, my 6 hour flight was the longest flight in my life. Was so uncomfortable being there after that run in with her. I had already checked her in as a service animal at the front gate whybshe felt the need to get in my face about it, i dont know! Trust me, i will be following up with this."

Cons: "They charge for everything, even carry-on! If you don't tell them you have a carry-on, they will charge an additional 20$ on top of the $40 for the regular charge. They charged me even to make a check-in online and assign a seat. Only water is served in the plane and if you want soda you gotta pay for it. Ridiculous! The counter crew are rude and seemed overworked. The airplane seats DO NOT lean back and they have no foam, only a hard piece of leather covering the metal seats. They put their price very low on the travel websites and get you that way. Later on the fine prints (which no one ever reads, btw), they state that there are extra charges for everything else. I am surprised that they didn't charge me to breath inside the plane! Im Chocked!"

Maintenance was performed outside the plane while we listened to something that sounded like lug nuts being tightened or loosened from our seats. We sat for an hour waiting to disembark during which time we heard more of those sounds while we waited for an available gate. We were also delayed an hour coming back as we sat in our very uncomfortable seats observing maintenance trying to fix the attendants intercom/phone system. In addition, on the way down to Florida I could have one carry on bag AND my purse, but on the way back my purse had to be inside my carry on bag or I would be charged an additional sixty dollars!! Unpleasant, uncomfortable, and a bit perplexing with the maintenance performed after being boarded by genuinely rude workers. I will not fly this airline again."

Cons: "1. Flight was delayed multiple times,. Was supposed to leave at 10:17AM and didn't leave until 2:30PM. 2. I was directed to different gates by Spirit employees who should have known (or should have known how to find out) where the new gate was. Very confusing. 3. Flight crew told us that our plane was continuing on to Denver (my final destination.) After the other passengers had exited, a flight attendant made an announcement that we had to vacate the plane due to the crew change. I exited the plane. While I was in the airport restroom, the gate attendant made a garbled announcement that my flight was shifting gates. When I got back to the gate, the attendant told me that we were on a new plane leaving from a different gate. I had to run from gate 34 to gate 18, and was the last one to board. It would have been better we were told to go to the new gate before we exited."

When the flight attendant moved the family on the other side of the aisle to a row with a window, my son and I got up to move into their seats, so we could give the poor guy in the corner (without a window) more room. She said no, because “we have to keep the last row open for emergencies”. Really? Then why was it booked to begin with? Tiny seats, flight attendants who don’t understand service, and not so much as a free drink of water after giving up our water at security. I’m not impressed."

Pros: "If you want to arrive to your destination at all don't take spirit! They over booked their flight, then said it was delayed and told myself and 10 other people that we were SOL. My bag made it to my destination but I did not and I was told I would just have to figure it out. The poor couple in front of me were going to their daughter wedding in the am and there were no other flights for them to take."

Cons: "When we arrived, I needed wheelchair assistance. I was picked up on the gangplank, and taken to the gate across from our arrival and LEFT THERE. No offers of help after that. I had a 3 hour layover, and finally Alfonso asked if I needed additional assistance. No one else was I interested in helping me get to food or a restroom. During the course of my layover, I heard over 6 flights have gate changes. Ours also was changed...at the time we should've been boarding. No explanation or apology for inconvenience. And again, I was LEFT THERE with no assistance. I finally flagged someone down to get a wheelchair and take me to the new gate, where I was LEFT AGAIN. I finally got up and walked to a restroom in my own (in great pain). The info for our flight remained on the screen at the old gate, with no mention of a gate change, and the new gate had NO information posted about our flight anywhere...which led to a great deal of confusion, chaos, and angry patrons. The gate change also caused us to board 30 min late. The Spirit employees were hard to find (laughing and hanging out in a closed-off area behind the desk). They were not friendly, helpful, or even understanding about the situation. I asked to be the last one on the plane (needing wheelchair assistance), and was told no, with no kindness or explanation. The flight attendants on this flight were not any better than the ines in the flight before...only w/o the funny commentary. And, another long flight with no entertainment, comfort, or friendly assistance. When we arrived at DFW, there were storms (that would've been avoided if we had left Orlando in time) that kept us in a holding pattern for an hour and a half ON TOP of a two and a half hour flight. The flight attendants used this time as a way to make MORE money for the airline by charging money for any food/drinks during this time...even water. We were on that cramped plane for 5 HOURS and were still having to pay for water. This was one of my WORST airline experiences in over 40 years of flying."

The air conditioning on the rear of the plain didn't work, and when a few people became overwhelmed withe the heat, and asked for water....they had to purchase the water. One flight attendant was RUDE non caring and just nasty. Wish I had her name!!!! People were also upgraded to bigger seats with out paying. I PAID FOR A BIG SEAT AND IT WOULDN'T EVEN RECLINE!!! SO UN FAIR.......IF YOU DONT SPEAK ENGLISH OR KNOW SOMEONE AT THE CHECK IN COUNTER YOU GET FREE BIG SEATS AND WHATEVER ELSE!! Oh yea, other airlines checked bags weight limit is 50lb yours is 40. Didn't know that, I had to unpack and take stuff out. Why? You already charge $50. to check a bag, CRAZY. THEY CAN'T FIND MY GLASSES EITHER... WORST FLIGHT EVER!!!!!!"

Steward and Stewardess spent three hours laughing it up in the back at an incredibly high volume and after midnight when the rest of us were trying to sleep. Stewardess took 20 minutes, not exaggerating, to explain the benefits of the Spirit credit card and how often her son and his girlfriend use the miles they get from it. Can't incline the seats."
