FAQs for booking Orlando Airport to Lexington flights

  • Can I reserve an extra seat space?

If you want a specific seat on a Delta flight, preview the available ones and choose a seat before paying your airfare. Due to a physical condition, the armrest may prevent you from sitting comfortably in your seat without encroaching onto the seat adjacent to you. Unless otherwise stated, all child safety seats manufactured after February 1985 must also be certified for aircraft use.

  • Which is the best airline for group flight tickets?

A guaranteed group rate is available for groups of 10 or more on Allegiant Air. Normally, a single itinerary accommodates a maximum of nine people. Thankfully, Allegiant Air partners with FareHawker, which consolidates group air tickets to give discounted airfares.

  • Am I eligible to bid for discounted flight upgrades?

Any passenger can grab a seat upgrade for a slightly lower price with Spirit Airlines. After booking your flight, bid on an upgrade to a Big Front Seat, Upfront Seat, or the exit row seat. You will know if your bid is successful 48 hours before departure. Take advantage of the Instant Level Up to instantly upgrade your flight class while the bidding is in progress. With elite status, your upgrade into the exit row is free.

Top tips for finding a cheap flight from MCO to Lexington

  • Consider flying in Main Cabin Extra with American Airlines for extra legroom and VIP benefits. You will be among the first passengers to board the plane, and you get complimentary drinks (wine, beer, and spirits) and snacks. A Gold, Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, or AAdvantage Platinum status has the chance for free pre-booking of a Main Cabin Extra seat.
  • Prepay for your checked bags to make your check-in process easier and faster at the United Airlines counter. You'll save on baggage fees when you prepay for luggage at least 24 hours prior to departure. Once you arrive at Orlando International Airport (MCO), print the tags, attach them to your bags, and leave the baggage at the drop counter or with the airline agent.
  • Invite your special partner to fly with you on Delta Air Lines if you've used Delta-recommended top-tier cards for a year or more (e.g., Reserve-Business American Express Card and SkyMiles Platinum American Express Card). Your partner will use a companion ticket on an eligible round-trip between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Blue Grass Airport (LEX) on Main Cabin, Delta Comfort+, or First Class.
  • A special assistance request is required, preferably 48 hours before the departure date. American Airlines will approve if you have a physical, cognitive, hearing, or vision disability. The airline offers wheelchair assistance to and from the airport gates, even during connecting flights, and helps with baggage claims. Inform the flight attendant if you need help listening to crucial updates and use captioning on in-flight safety videos.
  • United Airlines usually have stopovers at Chicago O'Hare Airport (ORD) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). When flying in the premium cabin (First and Business Class) or with an elite status and club membership, you'll have free access to United Club Lounge in the North Terminal, Concourse T (Gates 11–12), inside the security checkpoint. Inside security at ORD airport is the United Club Lounge in Terminal 1, Concourse B (Gate B6).

I liked the ease of checking in, luggage check in, wheel chair assistance, boarding and flight.

The main person that was coordinating everything was a short white/light skin Spanish man and he was very rude. It honestly made me feel like it was everyone’s First day at work. His announcements were very not reasonable and they did not make sense. The stewardess on the flight that made the announcements she didn’t even know what she was talking about she sounded inebriated. There were no snacks or drinks on our flight there wasn’t even much turbulence. This flight was not enjoyable nor was it what a Delta flight should be and just this past week I flew with Delta 3 times.

nothing Delta could do... the person sitting next to me was huge and overflowing into my seat

Crew was great! I need wheelchair assistance and they knew who I was and updated me that my chair was on its way and to just hang tight. There was some turbulence but the captain announced we would be going thru it and he handled the plane well. Landing was soft and his.

Aircraft very cramped. Check-in was great with an agent helping us. Food was almost non-existent. Pre-flight went well once I got the app reloaded on my phone since we don’t fly much anymore.

I like that it got us where we were going. Everything else needed work. It was 1/2 hour late and we took off an hour late. The plane had to be cleaned and the disabled loaded on board before we could take off which took forever and then we sat at the terminal FOREVER before we took off. The ride was so bumpy that they couldn’t serve drinks and snack but to about 1/2 the plane. Seriously we should have flown out of Fort Lauderdale. We probably would’ve gotten home several hours earlier.

Flight was on time, the staff was personable & professional, & the plane arrived on time.

Flight was great. DELTA did a fantastic job! FLL airport was chaotic!

You lost my luggage!!! How frustrating!!! Now they can’t find one of our bags!!!! I really don’t have time for this!!!

Fast boarding and exit. Different snacks other than almonds and sun chips.

Tight fit in middle seat but OK for short flight. Crew was more interested in talking to each other than helping passengers - strickingly dissappointing. DAB is a great airport. New Haven sucks! Excellent value for the .

Avelo is definitely a budget airline and you get what you pay for. The plane was packed and the seats were not particularly comfortable. Staff was very nice and both of our flights were on time. The one thing I wish I had known was that the staff does not show up at the airport desk to check your bags until two hours before the flight. We had a 4:30 flight and had to check out of our hotel at noon. Since we have lounge passes we planned to check our bag, go through security and hang out at the lounge until we had to board. But because we could not check our bag until 2:30, when the staff showed up, we could not go through security and access the lounge. Passengers with boarding passes and carry on luggage would not have this issue. I might fly Avelo again but would only do carry on or plan to get to the airport no sooner than two hours before check in. And I would not recommend a long flight on Avelo since there is no food or entertainment and the seats are not comfortable.

No food or entertainment, but flight very comfortable and on time.

Baggage claim was barbaric at Wilmington. I realize that this is a startup airline but if they hope to grow or even survive they need to upgrade this airport. There is no automated luggage carousel and at times you are not only fighting your fellow passengers to get to your bags but also passengers coming in from other flights who cross right in front of you

No frills, i.e., no drinks or snacks. One is charged for everything. The cost really adds up. The crew and flight attendants were excellent and very pleasant.

I always walk by a pallet of Avelo branded mini bottles of water on the tarmac, but I’ve never seen them in flight. Yup, not even water offered on a 3 hour flight. No wi-fi onboard. We just watch the flight crew on their phone for 3 hours every flight. At least a mid-flight trash pickup would be great. Better than my last flight, but they only could have gone up from there. Don’t use for business or ticketed vacation like Disney… too unreliable.

You get what you pay for. The plane was dirty and the seats were awful.

Nightmare airline. Avoid Avelo. Understaffed at check-in with long, slow lines. Inexplicably had two flights and only one plane. Not weather or maintenance related apparently. One was supposed to go to Myrtle Beach and one to Orlando. I imagine someone thought it would be better to fly the available plane to Myrtle Beach and back and then go to Orlando since that round-trip was shorter. This didn’t account for the human factor of an end-of-week Orlando flight being 85% Disney passengers and putting the flight on a six-hour delay in New Haven airport… which, if you’ve been there, is tiny and has nothing to do for 50 kids excited to get to Disney. This delay was announced at the time of departure. No one realized before the time of departure there was no plane on the ground? And no one thought… hey I think the Myrtle Beach crowd might be a better one to have wait if we’re going to make a choice here (mind you the initial inbound plane was coming from Orlando and supposed to be out aircraft… they literally said let just grab this plane because it’s here to get this other group out at the last second). There is/was zero customer service desk for Avelo in HVN and there were no updates/announcements throughout the day. Plane still gets back late and we finally leave. No wi-fi on these planes, no snack or even water. I know this is budget airline, but expected at least a water after 8 hours of travel day. This should have been offered in terminal too. We land… hooray. Would you believe there is no ground crew to get the plane in to the gate… for 27 minutes. 27 minutes!!! At this point the rental car center is closing in 10 minutes, kids on the plane are crying again, and everyone is talking about how they’re never flying Avelo again. Finally get off. Bags are out at baggage claim right away (finally something right?), but they’ve stopped the carousel immediately and there is no baggage service rep. People are climbing over the carousel to get to the far side (if you’ve ever been to MCO you’ve seen it) because obviously they just stopped it immediately once all the bags were out. This airline is a dumpster fire. Icing on the cake was that while everyone was stuck in HVN, they were setting up for a celebration of their millionth passenger tomorrow. I bet 995,000 of those will never fly the airline again. Don’t fly Avelo. You’ve been warned.

Airline was the only available airline during the Southwest cancellation. It was easy to book. Lowest available fair. Convenient airports. Everything was great. Problem was, they didn’t release what gate flight was departing. The woman at the ticket booth didn’t know which terminal they were boarding and wanted me to wait in 30+ minute line versus telling me to look for flight kiosk. Burbank gate was packed. Otherwise the flight was perfect!!

Barely room for the tray table to come down. Clearly a budget airline that overcharges for every additional service.

The net issue I had was with the gate agent. We had added a carryon to our boarding pass when we checked bags. When I got to the boarding gate the agent was rude asking why I had a backpack - I said I added it - even had an orange tag on it. She ripped my tag off and swung her monitor around to show me how she was right- saying it isn’t wasn’t listed - only a checked bag. I explained again that I wasn’t sure what the issue was but I wouldn’t have an orange tag if I hadn’t added it. Then she finally checked my husband’s boarding pass and found that the agent at checkin had added my carryon to his boarding pass instead of mine. She sent me on my way without my orange tag. Was a bit embarrassing for me the tone she used with me assuming I was trying to get away with something.

Gate agent asked if I could switch seats so a family could sit together. Agent moved me to a seat in the front of the plane, no charge. It was easy. The agent did a great job.

Great seat space. However food and drink prices outrageous. Jabbing to pay for a carry on bag or stuck paying at the gate too much.

Every Allegiant Air flight I've ever taken has been delayed. This flight was delayed a full 2 hours. It was excuse after excuse after excuse. It was a flight from southern Florida. They made us board the plane on time, but made us wait for 2 hours on the tarmac. Because the engines were kept shut off, so was the air conditioning. One can only imagine how hot the air was in the cabin over those 2 hours on the tarmac, while in the hot Florida sun. Just terrible.

Actually, for the price, I'm willing to put up with a little discomfort (upright chairs) and at times inconveniences (like any airline), lack of entertainment (I can bring my own). My flight was non stop and smooth. I would fly this route again.

The flight was delayed 6 hours and we were only offered an $8 food credit. My husband stood in line to get the credit for 45 minutes and when he got close to the end of the line the computers went down.

Worst ever! Flight cancelled supposedly for weather even though we k ow of many others who flew into Bangor same time no problem. At the airport there was no customer service at all just refund and no possibility of rebook for 3-4 days. Aweful won’t fly with them again!!

It’s a budget airline so adjust expectations accordingly. Nothing is without a fee but such is necessary for tickets to remain so affordable.

My daughter dropped her cell phone right through the crack between walkway and plane. Right in front of myself, the lead flight attendant and crew below. In slow motion we all watched. The crew was on it as they got her phone back to her. Surprisingly, not damaged! This same head flight attendant was hilarious on the speaker! Loved his humor! Pilots were very clear to hear. Sometimes there’s a lot of noise interference or they sound muffled, but this time I could understand everything that was spoken. One more positive experience was renting a car through Allegiant which was my first time. We got a great car deal through Alamo and the car was really nice too, 2024 Blazer.

We waited for our captain to arrive and she made our flight take off 20 minutes late.

The Flight attendant had an attitude and didn't allow anyone any time to prepare for landing despite being absent throughout the entire trip

Horrible people at the gate, they force me to check in my carry on, even thought no one behind me has to do it. I had to get out of the airport in NY to get my bag and go thru security again on my way to Honk Kong. The worst part is the employee threatened me with loosing the flights if don’t comply.

Delayed flight, few announcements with information, no comps, cluster f boarding because zones weren’t spread out and announced loud and repeatedly, staff did their job -nothing more nothing less, annoying kids were speaking and kicking the heck out of the back of my seat and parents weren’t willing to parent… so another typical day of air travel in the US.,

Flight was delayed until Next day as crew timed out

The flight was great until towards the end when the flight attendant read an excessively long commercial for purchasing an american airlines credit card. The worst part is that we are doing a lot of traveling this year so i was actually interested in getting the credit card, but I was so annoyed with the long commercial that I completely dismissed the flight attendant bringing around the information. Next time, keep the sales pitch to 10 seconds and then pass around the brochures!!

I was able to get on standby with relative ease

6 plus hour delay with no explanation. No wheelchairs to transport us on arrival. Very disappointed.

Me and my husband experienced very bad in American Airlines. We missed our flight going to Doha. The American Airlines was delayed we arrived already 10:27pm. Supposed to be 9:40 pm. So what they did they rebooked our flight and they gave us a hotel. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk said it was fully booked already. Oh my gosh! I said why did you accept the booking if it's fully booked. The guy said that's American Airlines they just book even it's already full. That's 2am already, we have nothing to do so, we decided to go another hotel. We pay the room, food and taxi. Pls give an action on this matter. Refund our expenses and give us more compensation. Not only our room, food, taxi but also our efforts, tiredness looking for a room that can accommodate us.

Food choice is limited, entertainment better than average, seat leg room terrible

Horrible. Flight was delayed and very bumpy. I was super unhappy
