Sherry on this last flight was amazing, working so hard all by herself as our flight attendant. We were very impressed. And the pilots all came out to say goodbye and thank you. All very nice...esp for me who needed some wheelchair assistance. We will certainly fly with you again in the future."

Pros: "During my experience on 19 November I encountered only wonderful crew members, from the gate attendants to the on-flight crew. Everyone was extremely helpful and kind."
Cons: "Earlier in the day when I was checking in, there was a prompt to be added to the list of volunteers to take a different flight should one of my later flights (it did not specify, I flew from DAY to ATL, and then ATL to ORF) was overbooked. My schedule was accommodating enough that I selected yes. In ATL I was called up as a potential volunteer as they needed 3 volunteers to take a later flight that day. I was told that I was not initially assigned a seat since I had earlier agreed to be a potential volunteer. I was okay with all of this. We were told that the decision would be made at the end of boarding, and we would know if our seats were needed. At the end of boarding they called for the 3 volunteers to board. I was the last one to board and was given my seat assignment. Once I got on the plane I saw that someone had already been assigned my seat and let a flight attendant know what had happened. I stood on the plane for about 10 minutes while the flight attendants and other crew members tried to figure out what had happened. My name was not listed under any cabin (main, comfort, etc) even though I had a ticket and a seat assignment. Eventually they had to open the doors again for me to get off the plan as there were no available seats. Once I got back to the gate podium I was booked on a later flight, as would have been the case had the normal course of action for volunteering to give up my seat taken place. Everyone was extremely helpful in trying to figure out what had happened, but it was still frustrating that it had to happen in that way. Luckily I don't believe the delay caused any major delay for the flight. In the end, things worked out fine, it just seems as though this is an issue that didn't need to happen."

Cons: "The fight was delayed multiple times, starting at a 5:44 takeoff and finally taking off around 9:15. It was delayed in 30 min increments, which made it hard to do anything else around the airport since I was constantly in a state of "about to board." A frustrating experience. No posts of extra snacks while waiting, or compensation or explanation of what caused the delay."

Cons: "The insane process that followed the flight of rebooking - it would have been VERY HELPFUL to have access to the inflight internet so that I could have rebooked my missed connection before we landed in the ATL airport where it was past midnight and there were hardly any staff available for us to talk to and the lines to speak to anyone took literal HOURS to get through."

(Dude didn’t wanna wear a mask) forced the captain to circle back and screw our timing for our connecting flight. You might say, how can we blame AA, well, because they chose to allow him to become a problem and then exasperated it by allowing him in the damn door of the plane. Now we got stuck in Charlotte for the night. Nothing like being late for your Grandma’s funeral. Pathetic AA! PATHETIC!"

Had to pay again at the airport for the extra bag. This is highly unfair."

THANKS AMERICAN AIRLINE FOR LETTING ME KNOW YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR STOCKHOLDER AND THE CUSTOMER IS JUST A WAY TO MAKE THE STOCKHOLDERS AND EXECUTIVES (WHO GET BIG BONUS') HAPPY. SINCE YOU NOW ACT LIKE SPIRIT AIRLINES MAYBE YOU SHOULD MERGE WITH THEM TOO. I WANT BE TRAVELING AMERICAN AGAIN UNLESS ITS THE ONLY CHOICE I HAVE. IM GLAD TO SHARE MY STORY WITH OTHERS."

Cons: "If you don't pay for the premium seats, the legroom is pretty tight. I'm only 5'8" and I felt it -- if you're 6'+ you better pay for it. This aircraft had screens, but not individual ones so you're stuck watching whatever sitcom replay they pick, although there is a moderate selection of other music. I've been on a newer aircraft with the in-seat power and interactive screens so I know how good it can be, so this was a little disappointing."

We waited nearly 45 minutes on the plane at the gate for a "flight attendant that is going to hitch a ride to make a flight from San Diego to Charlotte." This was obnoxious! We waited for almost as long as the flight was scheduled to take. Poor form."

Cons: "Our flight to Nashville AND our flight back to Dallas were both delayed due to "maintenance". Each time was a delay of a couple of hours causing us to miss both of our original layover flights. As a result, we missed TWO very important business meetings that ended up costing us over $10,000! We were unable to provide paychecks to employees! After spending 2 entire days sitting in the airport waiting, we were offered a "food voucher" for $30, were advised to go pick up our luggage first, but they failed to mention we would be unable to get back through DFW airport security just to eat!! We had to take a taxi back to our hotel for over $100 and they didn't offer help with that or anything else. This airline is the worst!!! Unless there is significant compensation offered, I will do anything and everything to destroy their reputation further. I'm in the marketing industry and am very capable of getting the word out to millions. American Airlines... 9/11...Never Forget."

Cons: "Was delayed for several hours then when the plane showed up the flight was cancelled. I was not given I decent deal I was put on a letter flight when in actually I made if home earlier because of a desk woman who noticed I she could help. I was given a small sandwhich it was already late at night. No place to stay nothing while stuck in Dallas. Ended up going to philly then Newport News."

Pros: "Once we got around to actually boarding and being on the plane, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the plane and company were. Every experience up to that point had led me to believe we were on the budget airline with the delays and the way everything was handled (getting us into the bus to go to the plane, waiting 15 minutes, getting us off to wait in lobby 40 minutes, boarding again)."
Cons: "Lots of delay with little explanation. All in all, it was nearly 3 hours later by the time we took off for an otherwise very short flight."

Pros: "The flight crew were really good and efficient. The plane was a new 737 and was beautiful and clean when we boarded."

Pressure from the gate crew was put on those last in line to hurry to make gate departure time although it was fthe folks on the plane with carry ons that were keeping us from boarding. I paid the money to check a bag but folks with over sized carry on got their bags checked for free at the plane entrancewhen they ran out of room in the cabin. They ran out of room before more than half the plane was boarded."
