Cons: During COVID there was little attempt to distance passengers during security checks, boarding and onboard. Crew did not inforce mask policy. Fellow passengers were inconsiderate, loud, littered just throwing food wrappers and trash on the ground - crew did nothing.

There is little leg room and the cushioning is not enough for a long distance flight. There is no boarding control. People just line up and get on the plane in any order.

Cons: Entertainment monitor kept stopping, then going, fast forward, then fast reverse. Watched a 1 hour 10 minute movie that took 2 hours 40 minutes to view. I am over 200 cm in height, the passenger in front of me was 163 cm with seat all the way back while sitting on the edge of her seat playing games. The monitor I was watching was about 14 cm from my face. I never put my seat back, but I sure as hell will now. This flight was over seven hours, that is to long to be contorted.

Pros: Throughout the long flight, the cabin crew was excellent. They were attentive and friendly. They avoided interrupting quiet time and rest time by keeping off the PA system (well done). The food was fantastic. We were lucky enough to get some business class tickets with points, and the food was amazing. Wine was excellent. This team was quite solicitous of my parent with reduced-mobility. And the bathrooms stayed clean throughout the flight. find this is often an areas where many airlines fall down. And it's too bad, because while I'm 100% sure it is no fun to clean a toilet while in flight, it is a really a big negative for the customers. Overall excellent attention to detail, with a cheerful and "can-do" crew that kept the plane "proper" throughout the flight and provided seamless service. Good stuff. Will fly again.

Cons: Found my business class seat given away to a lady with a dog. Mine was window but with extra table next to aisle. She had aisle seat but with exactly the same configuration. Idea was she would place the dog on the table space next to her seat. It would be exactly the same for both seats. Do not know what they were thinking. There were other business class seats on the other side that had the table space ext to the window away from the aisle. That would make sense for the lady with dog. Business class was full and I was the last to get on, 45 minute connection in Zurich from terminal A to E, my seat was given. But as I objected, they moved the dog lady and gave me back my seat. But they never asked a person in the seat that would have made sense to give her to trade seats.

Cons: Service desk personnel at the gate were very helpful and attentive. The plane was only 1/2-2/3 full, which made boarding quicker. The food was tasty and coffee was great! We were also offered juice twice during the flight. Bathrooms were clean. Since the plane wasn't full, they weren't dirty even at the end of the flight. I brought my own headphones, but the stewards provided them if you need them. My one big complaint was that our seats did not recline, thus making any kind of shut-eye near impossible. Our plane left and hour late, but the pilots stepped on the gas and we got in on time!

Cons: The plain in Denver landed very hard, hit the ground with a very loud noise and people were very scared. After that the pilot said "sorry for the hard landing but at least you guys are awake"...

Pros: I've flown on many different airlines since I was 10 years old and hands down this Lufthansa flight was the best and smoothest flight I have ever experienced. First of all, the plane was very comfortable and had good leg room. The flight staff were all extremely courteous and attentive. There was one point where I was reading in the dark and the crew member asked if I wanted the light turned on to read! Normally I don't sleep on flights, and the same crew member asked if I wanted ice cream since I don't feel like sleeping. The crew seemed to have this magic ability to make the flight more comfortable without the passenger having to even think about it, or try to ask for extra service. All of the crew were just very outstanding and organized throughout the entire flight, they were all generally very helpful and kind. By the time I got off the 14 hour flight, I didn't feel even the slightest bit tired or anxious, I was able to spend time with my friends in Budapest upon landing and stay out till 2 am without having to sleep or rest because the flight was so good.

Pros: Lufthansa is one of the better airlines, especially when flying to Germany. They offer a very good service in the economy class which includes free wine (and not only sodas) and a large selection of free newspapers which I value a lot. Newspapers are much more interesting to read than watching movies in my personal opinion. Overall, when aboard Lufthansa, one does not have the feeling of cheapness seen so often on competing airlines. A few years ago, when flying from San Diego to New York, a 5 hour flight on a major US carrier, passengers were not even offered a free drink. Everything had to be paid for. In comparison, all food and all drinks are free on Lufthansa which includes not only wine but also Baileys (a sweet liquor). Given the excellent service, ticket prices charged by Lufthansa are a bargain even if at a small premium over the competition.

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible.

Cons: Flight from Amsterdam was 2 hours late. Caused me to miss connection on train from London to Leeds which then cost me 124 pounds to rebook. No information was forthcoming at all at the airport and there were 3 different departure times given. Absolute chaos. The airline is a joke

Cons: KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight.

Pros: Flight was efficient enough and staff were friendly.

Pros: There was a special needs boy that sat behind me and he had some issues (long flight, understandable) and the crew were AMAZING with him. Not everyone has common or even human decency. These people were rad, and it was lovely to see.

Cons: When we arrived at London Heathrow, there was no gait, no stairs, and no buses to transport passengers to the terminal. We were stuck on the plane for an hour waiting. The crew was helpful in keeping everyone informed and let us know they called the airport staff multiple times for the stairs/buses to get us off and those with connections (me) going. The crew was frustrated too.

Cons: Bad attitude of an attendant at the airport when inquiring about seat change for medical reasons. Complete ignorance during flight, no water or snack offered to me during 6 hour flight while a flight attendant paid a lot of attention to two ladies sitting close by.

Pros: The crew was considerate in taking care of children with families and assigning new upgraded seats to those adults who were looking for sleep and quiet. They were also helpful in getting me a special gluten free meal even though I did not order it in advance.

Pros: One of the members of our party needed extra assistance because of an injury. We let BA know ahead of time online, and there was someone waiting to help at every connection and step of our travels. The staff and crew definitely went above and beyond to make our trip easier and more comfortable.

Cons: First of all, it wasn’t British Airways, it was operated by American Airlines. The seats were cramped; just barely enough kneeroom and I’m only 5’10”. There were no monitors on the seat backs and no choice of entertainment, only monitors hanging from the ceiling. I suppose the airline assumes, probably correctly, that these days everybody has their own entertainment on laptop or tablet. The problem here, though, was that there were no charging plugs at the seats, so you’d better have a full battery when you get on and hope it lasts. Of course, I could have just read the inflight magazine, except that my reading light was broken. Food was decent for airline food.

Cons: That when I called to rebook another flight, I was on hold for 75 minutes. Yes, that was 75 minutes. I was switched from British Air to Finn Air and then back to British Air. It was a mess.

Pros: It wasn't a BA flight, but AA. Confusion reigns!

Pros: The personnel were most helpful, pleasant, and reassuring when I discovered I had left something on the plane. It was found and returned to me quite promptly and my continued flight was rebooked with the minimum of fuss (and embarrassment). Everyone was wonderful.
Cons: I am not a seasoned traveller. Checking for a small item (such as a passport) in the overhead compartment was not possible.

Pros: Crew was good, attentive, helpful, eager to accommodate. The tea cart sped past without alerting anybody as to what it was or that it wasn't going to come back but moments later another crew member came by and was very quick to return with a tea for me, which was nice of them. Other flight operators have had somewhat limited entertainment options, I was amazed by the range available.
Cons: I was a little disappointed that in the video options, while it had he show Legion (something I'd been recommended by a friend recently), it was only the first 4 episodes instead of the complete 8, leaving a cliffhanger point in the story. Which was a bit of a shame.

Cons: Airlines in general need to do a better job of controlling the boarding process (using the groups to board) and controlling the amount of luggage people bring on. Peoples definition of a "personal item" are skewed.

Cons: I thought I was supposed to get a free meal and was never offered that or even a complimentary beverage. The flight attendants allowed a group of four passenger to stand during almost the entire flight in the aisles and in my row, making it difficult for people to get around them and didn't allow for an enjoyable flying experience.

Cons: My seat did not recline at all. When notifying the flight attendants during the meal/beverage service, they said they would note down my seat. However, nobody ever gave me any assurances that they would really inform maintenance to resolve the problem. Half way through the flight, my screen froze. Nothing would start it up again. After waking up hours later, I informed the flight attendant and she was able to reset/restart my screen individually. Everything worked perfectly afterwards

Cons: There is more room in an economy seat on a commuter flight than there is on a 747. After this itinerary is complete I have no intention to ever fly with British Airways again.

Cons: Like the flight from Amsterdam to Philadelphia, the seats were extremely uncomfortable and wouldn't go back much at all. On this flight my tray was also broken so I couldn't ever put any drinks on it without them spilling everywhere. The flight attendants were the worst ones I have ever had on a flight. Very unpleasant and rude. They would barely pay attention to customers and would only gossip when they were making their rounds down the isles. One of them made an attempt to bump either my arm or my leg every time she walked paste me, not once apologizing. It was very clear that she was doing it on purpose. At one point she even kept bending over to get into one of her drawers on her cart and kept shoving her butt into my shoulder and in my face repeatedly without acknowledging me at all. I was returning from a trip overseas and my appearance was less than business casual but that is no excuse to treat me like that or any other customer riding on this airline. I enjoyed my flights with British Airways on my way to Europe. It's extremely unfortunate that these two airlines are sister companies and transfer people between them. From now on I will actively avoid taking any flights on a American Airlines unless I have absolutely no other option. Sadly, this may mean avoiding British Airways as well. It's sad when Allegiant Air offers better flights than such a reputable airline, such as this.

And our whole reason for booking British Airways was to avoid any US airline... We paid a premium, plus Kayak then sends you to a third party processor that charges you another $100 booking fee! American Airlines was terrible! Not even an entertainment center on on this flight (OLD PLANE THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE!). THIS WAS A BARE BONES PLANE> We will NEVER use KAYAK again.

This is the second year in a row this happen to us with the same flight Venice-Philly-Phoenix. American Airlines bad service is definitely not what i was expecting booking a flight through British airways, which is consistently top- notch.

Cons: The flight from Phil to San Diego did not have tvs on board and when I was flying from San Diego to London the flight was an hour and half late for take off because the crew arrived late.

Pros: Our flight was delayed over an hour because of some weather and struggling trouble, but the service was excellent, with members of the land crew explaining what was happening at the gate and giving frequent updates, and the pilot was very patient in explaining everything once we were boarded, and we still managed to get to Heathrow on time!

Cons: Ww booked our tickets on Kayak, airfare.com. Due to recent terrorist events, our flight was cancelled so we decide to cancel reservation. But the whole experience of dealing with British airways and airfare.com has been a nightmare and absolutely horrible. I would never use any of them

Cons: Zero entertainment for 5hr long flight! Airport connection at Philadelphia is terrible! We were just off an aircraft and didn't leave the security zone. Why do we have to pass safety check again? If we had problems, how could we get on,board the previous flight! Nonsense! The connection,time is short but there is not any express line nor any American Airline employees to help, especially when previous AA flight was late by 1hr, cutting the connection time extremely short. Very poor ground service at the airport!

Cons: If the crew had been better and they hadn’t packed every single seat. It is truly amazing - American still packs planes so that there is not one seat available. Getting on and off the plane is a cattle shoot with no room. Pre pandemic this was normal and nothing has changed. They are the only airline that ignores all post pandemic recommendations. If one sees how dirty the planes are I find it hard to believe they are being cleaned more than a cursory dusting.

Pros: Lisa I. was one of the best flight attendants I have ever observed. She enjoys being on the airplane with people who need help, comfort, to complain about anything. She was all over the airplane and refused a tip when I tried to insist she accept it. She said, “I have been doing this for a long time, I am tipped by seeing passengers having a pleasant flight.” I had goosebumps and the two women to my left and right were also impressed by her professionalism. I pray that Lisa is working on my flight home!
Cons: Absolutely nothing, even with 30 to 45 MPH winds, the plane was gentle. The passenger next to me was scared. Lisa said to let her know if she needed anything, the woman was fine the whole flight. Lisa came by with extra snacks and she smiled and said she was doing well!

Cons: On the first leg of my journey, there was a card explaining how to get inflight entertainment using the aainflight.com which worked great. However the Phoenix to Eugene leg used Boingospot but there was no card in the seat pocket explaining what needed to be put in your browser to access the entertainment portal. There were only two flight attendants on the flight and, aside from the drink service, no one ever came to the back of the plane so I could ask the question. I could have used the call button but I think that should be saved for emergencies. I think the information on how to access the inflight entertainment should be in every seat pocket

Cons: The flight was delayed due to a missing officer. Because of this, I missed my flight from Chicago to Narita Japan. I had to cancel the hotel in Japan and pay $120 cancellation fee. The customer service changed my flight to go to Dallas/Fort Worth TX then fly to Narita Japan next day. They gave me vouchers for hotel stay and meal ($12) which are absolutely minimal compensation after all this headaches. They were unable to upgrade my seat since they’re full. Now the flight to Narita is 2 hour delay and they have changed the gate at least twice. I’m worried if I can get on the next connecting flight to Sapporo due to this delayed schedule. I feel like this whole trip is ruined because the delayed flight from Philadelphia to Chicago. This has been my worst and the most ridiculous flight experience ever. I don’t think I ever want to fly with American Airlines in the future.

Cons: Without power at each seat it's difficult to take advantage of the otherwise free entertainment that is only accessible through the app or on a laptop. There was a DC power outlet at my seat (not all of the seats in the main cabin even have that) but guess what--it required a cigarette-lighter-style adapter to plug in. I certainly don't travel around with one of those! And most of the other seats in the main cabin had no access to power at all. My battery wouldn't possibly last through a 7-hour-plus flight without supplementary power. Oh well, fortunately there are still books and magazines. Just like old times. Be more like United or any other international airline, American!

Cons: Gate at Philadelphia was tiny with not enough space for everyone on the plane, it was a 6 hour flight and no snacks beyond pretzels were available-not even for purchase. I'd just come off an 8 hour international flight where I was provided lunch, ice cream, a pot pie snack and frequent beverage service. Somehow as soon as you are flying domestic on a slightly shorter flight American Airlines thinks its okay to treat customers like garbage-nothing but some sad pretzels and 2 rounds of drink service was provided for a 6 hour flight. The seats were super uncomfortable with no head rest, no personal entertainment devices were provided, and there was no general entertainment for the whole plane-seriously I've never been so bored. I would have fallen asleep from boredom but the seat was too uncomfortable so I couldn't even do that. The plane landed in Seattle but sat without unloading passengers for 20 minutes because the gate crew wasn't ready. We didn't get our checked baggage for over an hour after landing. When asked, customer service reps said that the S gate was far from baggage claim-seriously I'm not sure how that is a reasonable excuse. Other airlines arrive into S gates and have timely baggage claim service. American Airlines has no standard for timely baggage claim service like other airlines (Alaska) so there were no repercussions for such late baggage service. We left the airport with our luggage over 90 minutes after the plane landed. The entire experience is just another example of American Airlines of why the terrorists won't even fly American Airlines. I was seriously disappointed to find out that the British Airways flights we booked were operated by American instead of BA crews. I seriously will never select this option (or fly American) again if I can help it.

The woman at the gat told me I had too many bags. It’s not a bag lady. It’s fried rice. She was not friendly. At least smile when you tell me to combine my takeout bag and my very small cross-body bag that is barely big enough to hold my Iphone. Most of the announcements in flight were muffled and hard to hear. The safety speech was really quite terrible. I think someone was torturing her to do it. It was really quite painful to listen to.....

Cons: People all over the coach section were complaining about not being able to sit together. Families with babies, couples, even ours (though the kids are old enough for me not to be truly worried as some were). Somehow reservations seems to have messed up an entire flight. We gave up trying to fix it for fear they would make it worse. Then the woman at the gate tried to get folks to volunteer to give up their seats on an overbooked flight. But she was screaming at us. Unbelievably unpleasant to be yelled at over and over again and told we could lose our seats. The poor weather likely caused flights to be rerouted into PHL so our flight out to SFO ended up 1/3 empty. FABULOUS. But the gate experience was horrible and the legroom, had it been a full flight, was miserable. I'm in search of an airline with a humane approach.

Cons: American Airlines has terrible customer service. We were unable to board our flight at the Philadelphia airport because when we arrived (almost 2 hours before our flight) the ticket counter was already closed for the evening. No one from American Airlines could help us. We were left stranded at the ticket counter until it reopened at 3:15 am. We are very disappointed and disgusted with the poor service we received from American Airlines. After hearing multiple horror stories from others, it is safe to say we will never fly that airline again.

Cons: The airline is so outdated and behind the times of their competitors, their in that they don't have in flight entertainment unless you download their app and give them your email address. On top of that when I originally booked my flights, I had made sure to have 1.5 hr for a layover between my connecting flights. Well, they decided to move up my connector such that I had 25 minutes to run across 2 terminals. They only give you pretzels on the plane, and a single soda drink. They offer you "food bundles" but why do I want to pay $8 for a sandwich that costs $1 to make.

Cons: Itinerary I received was for British Airways, with whom I have always had excellent experiences. However, I discovered at check-in I would actually be traveling on American Airlines with a different flight no. I had already provided my BA flight numbers to family. No explanation was give to me prior to flight that this would be the case. Food was terrible- even for Coach class - I don't always expect a gourmet meal, but BA was consistently good in the past, so I had positive expectations. My personal entertainment system did not work properly so I could not use it.

Pros: When our flight was delayed in Denver the agent at the check in gate worked very hard to get our flight plans changed with as little impact as possible.
Cons: We understand that delays happen but due to a delay on American Airlines we have lost our luggage and it doesn't seem likely it will be returned. We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall.

Cons: Please inform travelers that their passport must not expire within 3-6 months of their trip to France. I was unaware of this and was not allowed on our flight in Philadelphia because my passport would expire in two months. We lost an entire day in France because I had to go to the customs office the next morning and get an emergency passport. I travel frequently, but somehow was not aware of this rule. If I had known I would have fixed the issue months ago. Multiple people viewed my ticket and passport before arriving in Philadelphia and no one caught this error until right as I was boarding the flight to Paris.

Cons: The connecting flight from philadelphia to amsterdam was cancelled by American airlines due to a faulty plane. The system auto-rebooked many passengers on the flight on a 2 connections flight to arrive in Rotterdam for the following day. This was obviously not a suitable alternative. However after hours of waiting at the gate to get a better flight, an american airlines representative was able to rebook a flight to amsterdam via london that was still not until the following evening. I had to stay in philadelphia overnight and had to find a room on my own. The flight the next day went better however I still lost a day and a half of my trip. Unfortunalely for me, the issues did not end there. There was an issue in communication with british airways; american airlines never gave them the new flight details so british airways marked me as a no show for the Rotterdam flight and cancelled my return flight. By luck i called the day before my flight back to the US since i felt something was wrong. British airways representative was able to rebook me on a similar flight for the same day. Will most likely not use this airline again for international flights

I wish American Airlines would charge $20 more per ticket and provide some reasonable food. Everything just screamed LOW QUALITY. Lucky I had brought a sandwich and some snacks with me on board. The food was so bad that I didn't even touch it. They should just eliminate the food completely and tell people to bring their own on board.

Pros: nothing horrible flight
Cons: This was almost a six hour flight there were no televisions available the flight was oversold and there were people on standby there was very little Lego room we were only offered snacks and drinks the crew was stressed we left late because we were instructed to check our carry-ons but that was not enforced until people were already on the plane getting on the plane and getting off the plane took a very long time there was very little leg room it was difficult to move around the plane because it was such a small plane the crew was very stressed out. I am very upset about this flight and will not fly with American ever again.

Pros: Crew was exceptional (as usual), everything ran smoothly and on time.
Cons: It doesn't make sense to board from the front of the plane backward. I know this is not an AA thing, but a way to make customers paying more feel more special by having the privilege of sitting on the plane longer...but it's really silly.

Pros: Not much.
Cons: There are NO ENTERTAINMENT, and I had two flights that were more than 5 hours each. It was not operated by British, it was actually American Airlines.

Cons: We booked a round-trip flight on AA from Philadelphia to Dublin. Due to changes in our travel plans we revised our flight dates. The phone customer service rep who helped me make the changes, assured me that the AA policy was to group families together after she informed me that I could not choose our seat assignments at that time. Arriving at the Philadelphia airport, we used the self service kiosk to check-in. The issued boarding passes put my wife and me in different rows on one side of the plane, and our nine year old son on the other. I asked a roving AA customer service rep if it would be possible to change our seat assignments and explained what we were told when rebooking. She waved vaguely in the direction of the baggage counter, and told us we could change our seats when checking our baggage. We brought out baggage to the counter and informed the customer service rep working there what we were told by the kiosk and phone representatives. She immediately yelled at us and told us to calm down, even though we were merely asking and explaining. Each time we attempted to explain our situation or ask where we could seek assistance, she bristled. Finally, she told us we should go to the main check-in counter because she could not change seat assignments. The check-in counter rep was very brusque. She said she could not change anything because we had boarding passes and should accept the locations because it was an international flight; however we could ask at the gate if changes could be made. At the gate, service was provided for three flights - Dublin, London, and Manchester(?). We stood briefly in line and were motioned up to a desk for the London flight. I informed the customer service rep that we were travelling to Dublin, and what we were told by the previous AA representatives. Without checking to see if was possible to seat the three of us together, he told us that he could only put my wife and son together. Somewhat relieved, we asked him to revise their seat locations. He made the changes and handed us our new boarding passes. As we walked away from the counter, I noticed that the new boarding passes were for the London flight and did not have my wife's or son's names. We returned to the counter and told him that there had been mistakes made. He immediately snatched the passes from us and berated us for not telling him that we were not going to London. I told him that we had told him of our destination as soon as we approached the counter. He retrieved our original passes from the trash and told us to wait for the Dublin flight reps to arrive. Immediately, I called the AA toll-free number and informed the phone agent of all that had happened. She was able to locate two seats together for my wife and son, and told me to inform the gate reps of the information. Because of character limitations I cannot tell of the counter rep who was an angel and managed to seat the three of us together. Thank you!!!

Pros: The meals were good and the flight attendants were very pleasant.
Cons: The space and seats were uncomfortable. The seat my husband was sitting in (30A window seat), the touch screen seemed to have some technical issues, for it did not recognize when you touch the screen. It was a bit frustrating trying to select entertainment. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane, therefore almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport service desks and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive.

Cons: I nearly missed my flight because I did not have a seat for a flight that I bought a ticket for at full price. Which, would lead one to believe that I would have a seat on said flight. However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled.

Pros: The crew was great.
Cons: One of the worst flights ever. The plane was jammed. My seat was in row 20, directly across from the lavatory. The light was one every time they opened or closed the door. I had people standing right next to me with their rear ends in my face. The plane would be fine for a short trip with that many people and such small uncomfortable seats (and I am a little person 5'1"). But to put that many people on a "cattle car" for a 6 hour flight... no bueno. Also, I could not check in online to get seats and I wasn't able to upgrade. My husband was stuck 13 rows behind me. Worst flight ever.

Pros: They crew tried their hardest
Cons: There was no one at the gate to deplane us in Toronto. There for I missed my westjet connection home by 5 minutes. I was looking at the plane by the jet way unable to get on. AA staff would not pay for a hotel for being so late to Toronto because the wether was not thier fault, which I agree. But the lack of staffing was and a hotel should have been provided to me due to this. I will never fly America Airlines again due to my incoming flight to Toronto and the out bound to Philadelphia (cancelled on the way to Philly for no apparent reason).

Cons: When the flight was on time, we learned it was overbooked. Agents stated that if people would not willingly accept their offer to fly at a later time random people would be denied boarding. This was a stressful element as there was no other flight that could make me arrive on time. Plus, threatening to deny boarding to paying customers for airline related overbooking does not seem like a fair or good business practice. Then there were mechanical issue with the plane. After waiting over an hour for repairs they realized they needed a new air craft. This further delayed the flight. Not only was the flight extremely delayed at this pint but throughout the waiting time we were given very little information and were constantly told they couldn't give us an approximate time of departure. This was extremely rude and makes the experience of dealing with a delay even worse. I would suggest giving us more information about what is happening. Saying we don't know when the flight will leave is just unacceptable. To make matters even worse after we were finally boarded we had to wait an additional 40 minutes sitting inside the plane while they boarded refreshments! I know there are delays in flights but this same thing happened to my flight on my way to Paris and it caused me to miss my international connection and had to be re-routed.

Cons: It was a full flight, anyone in loading zones 7-9 were required to check their carry-on luggage. We were in loading zone 6, so not required and preferred not to due to our full day of air travel that would continue into a 3 hour car trip. My husband reached the gate, his ticket scanned, and let onto the plane. I walk up next, my ticket is scanned and then the personnel at the gate said in what I can only describe as the most disrespectful, inconsiderate, ill-tempered tone that he would need take my bag. He grabbed it out of my possession, shoved it into the luggage sizing rack and even though it did fit inside the lines, he said it was "too close" and would need to be checked. Not wanting to cause a scene and quite frankly speechless by this man's attitude, I did not object.. It was not until I was seated on the plane that I noticed more than a dozen items of luggage larger than mine and that the vast majority of people that had 3, 4, 5 carry on items when the maximum is 2: one personal item and one carry on luggage item. It was both the lack of respect and the lack of consistency that lead me to have an extremely "poor" boarding experience. Serious retraining needs to be completed and boarding attendants should not be able to harass airline passengers.
