Cons: The stewardess could have done less talking over the plane intercomRead more about JetBlue
Cons: The stewardess could have done less talking over the plane intercom
Cons: Crew at the gate separated my parents from my grandmother which entered in a wheelchair. Told them they had to wait and couldn’t enter with her
Pros: Friendly crew. Roomy Sears.
Cons: WiFi did not work, no food offerings (even for purchase) on a 6+hr flight, and there were no headphones to watch movies.
Pros: Seat was comfortable and JetBlue agent helped me and my husband to get seats together.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Crew was great. Boarding was easy.
Cons: How about letting my seat tilt back a bit. Back was not happy.
Cons: Apart from being late by 45 minutes, overall experience of flight was positive.
Pros: Seat was comfy, crew had personality. We got home quicker than expected, which was nice.
Cons: Plane was smaller than I thought it would be, the entertainment screen was a bit lacking. We landed too soon and had to hang out on the runway for a while, which wasn’t ideal.
Pros: The crew was very nice.
Cons: I was going home for a funeral, so my thoughts were just in another world and not occupied with the travel.
Pros: The plane was super empty so everyone had their own row to themselves
Cons: Tv didn't work :(
Pros: Overall, we love Jetblue.
Cons: Our seats changed from the ones we picked which were mid-plane, to the very last row. While convenient for the restroom, it has us getting off the plane.
Pros: Crew was beautiful
Pros: Our flight was delayed due to weather. Every effort was made and ultimately the wait was minimal as compared to the original estimate. The attendant at gate 4e was so courteous and kept us constantly informed. Staff are always courteous, friendly and work very hard to help. Jet Blue is definitely my preference when flying.
Pros: Resolved promptly
Cons: Asked for water but was forgotten a couple times
Cons: turbulence and delay, all weather related
Cons: The entertainment system was not working.
Pros: The convenient updates I received on my phone.
Cons: No complaints
Pros: I am disabled n the flight attendant was outstanding in helping me on n off the plane.
Pros: Really enjoyed the leg room as well as the snack options on the flight!
Cons: No flight. Fraud purchase
Cons: This is the third time that my flight is delayed when traveling with JetBlue, no compensation received.
Pros: My flight was a little over an hour so it was quick, but the crew was great. We got complementary drinks and snacks despite the short journey. The plane had TVs on the seatbacks for those who like the entertainment!
Cons: My only complaint is the flight delay, caused by a malfunctioning AC, but that’s not the airline’s fault. The pilot got us there only 20 minutes later than scheduled despite being delayed by more than 30 minutes.
Pros: Seats were comfortable.
Cons: Boarded in group "D" all overhead compartments were stuffed!
Cons: On past PHL to BOS flights beverage options were limited but there were a few choices. Today, only water was offered. Also, the new service cart wasn’t used
Pros: The crew were so great, seats were bigger than I’m used to, and the movie selection was great. captain got us boarded and was able to take off earlier than expected. Arrived a half hour early.
Cons: My son had to go to the bathroom shortly after we landed. Which he had to since the seatbelt sign was turned on when we were landing. He really couldn't hold it any longer and he is 4. I was sitting in the last row next to the bathroom and I attempted to get up to take him. The stewardess was very rude and told me to have a seat. I said he is about to pee in his pants and I sat down. Well sure enough he urinated on himself. He was so upset because he thought the rude stewardess would get bad at him. He also didn't understand why he couldn't go to the bathroom. So he urinated on the floor of the aircraft. So I left with my 4 year old boy covered in urine and in tears along with my 6 year old and my 2 year old who was having a tantrum at the same time. This made my mother's day complete. I felt as if the staff on this flight was very rude. No one even said sorry or cared about what had just happened. Even a happy mother's day greeting would have been nice. To add on our flight to Philadelphia we we're delayed for 3 hours. We have three children 6 and under and ended up arriving at about 3:15am. Your airline did absolutely nothing to make us more comfortable and am overall very dissappointed in JetBlue.
Pros: Leg room, service, friendliness
Pros: Boarding was easy and fast; the planes were almost *exactly* on time both for departures and arrivals! Staff was friendly. I have absolutely no complaints!
Cons: Can't think of anything. :)
Pros: Arrived on time, free snack
Pros: JetBlue's service
Pros: Traveling with Jet Blue was one of the best flying experiences I've had in recent memory. Quick boarding, kind flight attendants, on-time arrivals, free in-flight wifi, and excellent prices. What more can you ask for?
Cons: My seat didn't recline, but then I was relocated to an even more room seat, so I really have no complaints.
Pros: The flight was delayed due to some maintenance issues. Staff were friendly calm and helpful to the extent they could be with something out of their control. The company rerouted a different plane to take us since ours was going to be so late, turning a 2 1/2 hr delay into just a 1 hr delay. Boarding was super efficient, in flight service excellent. They comped us our headphones because of the delay, a nice touch. This is my 3rd great customer service experience with JB in as many months (the other 2 involved waiving charges to change flights, once gor me when I was suddenly ill, and for my cousin, when a changed circumstance made her need to travel on a different day, alone with 4 kids). Between Kayak and JetBlue app I got very frequent updates on flight status, but gate staff also were there and informed us in person.
Pros: The crew, the bathroom, on time
Cons: Problems with 1 tv but crew was helpful; arm rest padding was loose on one chair
Cons: Most TVs on the plane did not connect to direct TV as promised
Pros: Crew and comfort of flight was oustanding.
Cons: The ground crew was definitely not paying attention and didn't position the flightway correctly which signfiicantly delayed getting folks off the flight and us on. This is incompetence.
Pros: The flight was great.
Cons: The tv controls didn’t work
Cons: It was very interesting to see that the flight attendants on the plan were taking people orders for beverages with a note pad and then coming back with a tray. This just seems like a very inefficient way of getting a simple task done.
Pros: It was likeke being thrown back in time. Personal bag and carry one, generous and good snacks, WiFi and entertainment all included! Also the seats were comfortable and leg space roomy.
Cons: Had a lot of trouble connecting to wifi. I wasn't sure how to do it or it wasn't working properly.
Pros: It boarded with ease, it left on time, and we got in early. Perfect!
Cons: Clean flight. Easy
Pros: We were in row 9. We had the row to ourselves so lots of leg room and a middle area to stretch out and into. A rare experience these days. And on time. Great trip.
Pros: Fast flight
Cons: Seats were uncomfortable no earphones
Pros: Leg room.
Cons: The 2 hour plus delay in leaving due to jet blue's poor management around crew rotation.
Pros: I did like the movies available
Cons: Not sure but seems like the flight was over booked. Flight crew should make sure carry on bags are whats in the storage not a birthday cake
Cons: Muy malo el viaje
Cons: No entertainment at all. The flight was delay. I never have that experience before, I would like to get my refund back.
Pros: Big seats Lots of leg room Dunkin Donuts served on early flight Cable TV Free WiFi Snacks and drinks complimentary
Cons: Staff was alright but not midblowingly awesome, they did their job and did it correctly. I guess I was maybe expecting the staff to blow me away like the rest of the experience did. That said they were real and friendly, so I can't complain at all.
Pros: Landed early in Austin, always nice.
Cons: For an over 3hr flight, no snacks for sale was surprising and disappointing. Wifi entertainment did not work on personal devices, either.
Pros: On time
Pros: The flight was on time. I got lucky and was seated with extra legroom and was very very grateful. No drama - nice and easy.
Cons: When we were checking in I wasn’t sure where to lineup to put my luggage in. The lines for the kiosks were also confusing. Some more direction that I think would be helpful at Philadelphia airport.
Pros: Not much. I got to my destination on time.
Cons: If the crew had been better and they hadn’t packed every single seat. It is truly amazing - American still packs planes so that there is not one seat available. Getting on and off the plane is a cattle shoot with no room. Pre pandemic this was normal and nothing has changed. They are the only airline that ignores all post pandemic recommendations. If one sees how dirty the planes are I find it hard to believe they are being cleaned more than a cursory dusting.
Pros: Yes amazing
Cons: Enlarge the jet.
Pros: The crew was great even though there was no food or beverage service. They were very sweet to my 16 month old son and even have him a Flight Crew pin!
Cons: The air was stuffy even with the overhead vent on. The seats weren’t super comfortable.
Pros: The crew was great even though there wasn’t any food or beverage service during the flight. They were very sweet to my 16 month old son and even have him a Flight Crew pin!
Cons: The plane was stuffy so I felt overheated even with the overhead air on. The seats weren’t super comfortable.
Pros: Newer plane with slightly more room
Pros: Seats weren’t too bad, the plane was clean, and the crew was nice.
Cons: Our flight kept getting delayed due to paper work AFTER we boarded. There were also a lot of people on the plane and no social distancing.
Pros: Yes they were amazing and the seats were comfortable.
Cons: IFE was not streaming movies, WiFi on but not loading
Pros: I had a great seat
Cons: Attention to detail by the gate attendant who totally missed that I was boarding the wrong flight
Cons: People seated in front of me disregarded wearing their mask during the flight.
Cons: A full flight in the midst of a pandemic. Totally unsafe! Safety first in the air and closed space vs how many you can pack in during a pandemic. Disgraceful! I have tried to avoid AA due to how they handle flying right now , I couldn’t today and they were just as bad as I imagined. Delta was so much safer and more protective of its customers . 50-60% full by design . Fly them and learn something.
Cons: Flight was super hot! And uncomfortable. Not sure if A/C was working
Cons: How come I always have a beautiful and talented flight attendant? She was perfect!
Pros: Lisa I. was one of the best flight attendants I have ever observed. She enjoys being on the airplane with people who need help, comfort, to complain about anything. She was all over the airplane and refused a tip when I tried to insist she accept it. She said, “I have been doing this for a long time, I am tipped by seeing passengers having a pleasant flight.” I had goosebumps and the two women to my left and right were also impressed by her professionalism. I pray that Lisa is working on my flight home!
Cons: Absolutely nothing, even with 30 to 45 MPH winds, the plane was gentle. The passenger next to me was scared. Lisa said to let her know if she needed anything, the woman was fine the whole flight. Lisa came by with extra snacks and she smiled and said she was doing well!
Cons: Better seats, the main cabin extra seats were just like the other main cabin seats. One particular stewardess was very rude to all the passengers, while the steward Jeffery was very nice and friendly.
Cons: On the first leg of my journey, there was a card explaining how to get inflight entertainment using the aainflight.com which worked great. However the Phoenix to Eugene leg used Boingospot but there was no card in the seat pocket explaining what needed to be put in your browser to access the entertainment portal. There were only two flight attendants on the flight and, aside from the drink service, no one ever came to the back of the plane so I could ask the question. I could have used the call button but I think that should be saved for emergencies. I think the information on how to access the inflight entertainment should be in every seat pocket
Cons: The flight was delayed due to a missing officer. Because of this, I missed my flight from Chicago to Narita Japan. I had to cancel the hotel in Japan and pay $120 cancellation fee. The customer service changed my flight to go to Dallas/Fort Worth TX then fly to Narita Japan next day. They gave me vouchers for hotel stay and meal ($12) which are absolutely minimal compensation after all this headaches. They were unable to upgrade my seat since they’re full. Now the flight to Narita is 2 hour delay and they have changed the gate at least twice. I’m worried if I can get on the next connecting flight to Sapporo due to this delayed schedule. I feel like this whole trip is ruined because the delayed flight from Philadelphia to Chicago. This has been my worst and the most ridiculous flight experience ever. I don’t think I ever want to fly with American Airlines in the future.
Pros: That the flight attendant was really helpful
Cons: If the flight would have been on time
Cons: Plane flight got delayed until 6pm from 10:30am. What.
Pros: Because the flight wasn't full we passengers in the main cabin had the chance to spread out a bit more, which was great on such a long flight. Also the flight attendant let me have my scotch for free! Hooray!
Cons: Without power at each seat it's difficult to take advantage of the otherwise free entertainment that is only accessible through the app or on a laptop. There was a DC power outlet at my seat (not all of the seats in the main cabin even have that) but guess what--it required a cigarette-lighter-style adapter to plug in. I certainly don't travel around with one of those! And most of the other seats in the main cabin had no access to power at all. My battery wouldn't possibly last through a 7-hour-plus flight without supplementary power. Oh well, fortunately there are still books and magazines. Just like old times. Be more like United or any other international airline, American!
Pros: Nothing, this was a miserable flight.
Cons: Gate at Philadelphia was tiny with not enough space for everyone on the plane, it was a 6 hour flight and no snacks beyond pretzels were available-not even for purchase. I'd just come off an 8 hour international flight where I was provided lunch, ice cream, a pot pie snack and frequent beverage service. Somehow as soon as you are flying domestic on a slightly shorter flight American Airlines thinks its okay to treat customers like garbage-nothing but some sad pretzels and 2 rounds of drink service was provided for a 6 hour flight. The seats were super uncomfortable with no head rest, no personal entertainment devices were provided, and there was no general entertainment for the whole plane-seriously I've never been so bored. I would have fallen asleep from boredom but the seat was too uncomfortable so I couldn't even do that. The plane landed in Seattle but sat without unloading passengers for 20 minutes because the gate crew wasn't ready. We didn't get our checked baggage for over an hour after landing. When asked, customer service reps said that the S gate was far from baggage claim-seriously I'm not sure how that is a reasonable excuse. Other airlines arrive into S gates and have timely baggage claim service. American Airlines has no standard for timely baggage claim service like other airlines (Alaska) so there were no repercussions for such late baggage service. We left the airport with our luggage over 90 minutes after the plane landed. The entire experience is just another example of American Airlines of why the terrorists won't even fly American Airlines. I was seriously disappointed to find out that the British Airways flights we booked were operated by American instead of BA crews. I seriously will never select this option (or fly American) again if I can help it.
Pros: New gates at Philadelphia are beautiful but are hard to get in and out of and the design almost forces people into the hallway which clogs up pedestrian traffic down the corridor
Cons: There were no announcements at the gate. So it was very disorganized and people were frustrated I had purchased some fried breakfast rice at the gate and it came in a bag. The woman at the gat told me I had too many bags. It’s not a bag lady. It’s fried rice. She was not friendly. At least smile when you tell me to combine my takeout bag and my very small cross-body bag that is barely big enough to hold my Iphone. Most of the announcements in flight were muffled and hard to hear. The safety speech was really quite terrible. I think someone was torturing her to do it. It was really quite painful to listen to.....
Pros: The flight crew was quite lovely.
Cons: People all over the coach section were complaining about not being able to sit together. Families with babies, couples, even ours (though the kids are old enough for me not to be truly worried as some were). Somehow reservations seems to have messed up an entire flight. We gave up trying to fix it for fear they would make it worse. Then the woman at the gate tried to get folks to volunteer to give up their seats on an overbooked flight. But she was screaming at us. Unbelievably unpleasant to be yelled at over and over again and told we could lose our seats. The poor weather likely caused flights to be rerouted into PHL so our flight out to SFO ended up 1/3 empty. FABULOUS. But the gate experience was horrible and the legroom, had it been a full flight, was miserable. I'm in search of an airline with a humane approach.
Cons: American Airlines has terrible customer service. We were unable to board our flight at the Philadelphia airport because when we arrived (almost 2 hours before our flight) the ticket counter was already closed for the evening. No one from American Airlines could help us. We were left stranded at the ticket counter until it reopened at 3:15 am. We are very disappointed and disgusted with the poor service we received from American Airlines. After hearing multiple horror stories from others, it is safe to say we will never fly that airline again.
Pros: Not much here. The seats were ok, but the rest of the flight the airline was just poor.
Cons: The airline is so outdated and behind the times of their competitors, their in that they don't have in flight entertainment unless you download their app and give them your email address. On top of that when I originally booked my flights, I had made sure to have 1.5 hr for a layover between my connecting flights. Well, they decided to move up my connector such that I had 25 minutes to run across 2 terminals. They only give you pretzels on the plane, and a single soda drink. They offer you "food bundles" but why do I want to pay $8 for a sandwich that costs $1 to make.
Pros: Crew was great, and flight was relatively on time.
Cons: Itinerary I received was for British Airways, with whom I have always had excellent experiences. However, I discovered at check-in I would actually be traveling on American Airlines with a different flight no. I had already provided my BA flight numbers to family. No explanation was give to me prior to flight that this would be the case. Food was terrible- even for Coach class - I don't always expect a gourmet meal, but BA was consistently good in the past, so I had positive expectations. My personal entertainment system did not work properly so I could not use it.
Pros: When our flight was delayed in Denver the agent at the check in gate worked very hard to get our flight plans changed with as little impact as possible.
Cons: We understand that delays happen but due to a delay on American Airlines we have lost our luggage and it doesn't seem likely it will be returned. We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall.
Pros: The actual flight was fine. But leading up to it not so much.
Cons: Please inform travelers that their passport must not expire within 3-6 months of their trip to France. I was unaware of this and was not allowed on our flight in Philadelphia because my passport would expire in two months. We lost an entire day in France because I had to go to the customs office the next morning and get an emergency passport. I travel frequently, but somehow was not aware of this rule. If I had known I would have fixed the issue months ago. Multiple people viewed my ticket and passport before arriving in Philadelphia and no one caught this error until right as I was boarding the flight to Paris.
Cons: The connecting flight from philadelphia to amsterdam was cancelled by American airlines due to a faulty plane. The system auto-rebooked many passengers on the flight on a 2 connections flight to arrive in Rotterdam for the following day. This was obviously not a suitable alternative. However after hours of waiting at the gate to get a better flight, an american airlines representative was able to rebook a flight to amsterdam via london that was still not until the following evening. I had to stay in philadelphia overnight and had to find a room on my own. The flight the next day went better however I still lost a day and a half of my trip. Unfortunalely for me, the issues did not end there. There was an issue in communication with british airways; american airlines never gave them the new flight details so british airways marked me as a no show for the Rotterdam flight and cancelled my return flight. By luck i called the day before my flight back to the US since i felt something was wrong. British airways representative was able to rebook me on a similar flight for the same day. Will most likely not use this airline again for international flights
Cons: No movies or other entertainment that I could find
Cons: I checked in on American Airlines and because I didn't load the boarding pass to my smart phone I wasn't allowed to board.
Cons: For a flight five hours or more I was disappointed that there was no complimentary food. It otherwise it was fine
Pros: Crew was professional, flight was smooth.
Cons: Plane was old. NO in-seat power, no USB chargers, no in-seat entertainment. TV monitors in the aisles? Is this the 1990s? One crappy movie? The "headsets" are a joke. Too many announcements - and I don't like it when they play movie trailers, commercials, etc. over the sound system. The food was horrific. I wish American Airlines would charge $20 more per ticket and provide some reasonable food. Everything just screamed LOW QUALITY. Lucky I had brought a sandwich and some snacks with me on board. The food was so bad that I didn't even touch it. They should just eliminate the food completely and tell people to bring their own on board.
Pros: nothing horrible flight
Cons: This was almost a six hour flight there were no televisions available the flight was oversold and there were people on standby there was very little Lego room we were only offered snacks and drinks the crew was stressed we left late because we were instructed to check our carry-ons but that was not enforced until people were already on the plane getting on the plane and getting off the plane took a very long time there was very little leg room it was difficult to move around the plane because it was such a small plane the crew was very stressed out. I am very upset about this flight and will not fly with American ever again.
Pros: Crew was exceptional (as usual), everything ran smoothly and on time.
Cons: It doesn't make sense to board from the front of the plane backward. I know this is not an AA thing, but a way to make customers paying more feel more special by having the privilege of sitting on the plane longer...but it's really silly.
Pros: Not much.
Cons: There are NO ENTERTAINMENT, and I had two flights that were more than 5 hours each. It was not operated by British, it was actually American Airlines.
Cons: We booked a round-trip flight on AA from Philadelphia to Dublin. Due to changes in our travel plans we revised our flight dates. The phone customer service rep who helped me make the changes, assured me that the AA policy was to group families together after she informed me that I could not choose our seat assignments at that time. Arriving at the Philadelphia airport, we used the self service kiosk to check-in. The issued boarding passes put my wife and me in different rows on one side of the plane, and our nine year old son on the other. I asked a roving AA customer service rep if it would be possible to change our seat assignments and explained what we were told when rebooking. She waved vaguely in the direction of the baggage counter, and told us we could change our seats when checking our baggage. We brought out baggage to the counter and informed the customer service rep working there what we were told by the kiosk and phone representatives. She immediately yelled at us and told us to calm down, even though we were merely asking and explaining. Each time we attempted to explain our situation or ask where we could seek assistance, she bristled. Finally, she told us we should go to the main check-in counter because she could not change seat assignments. The check-in counter rep was very brusque. She said she could not change anything because we had boarding passes and should accept the locations because it was an international flight; however we could ask at the gate if changes could be made. At the gate, service was provided for three flights - Dublin, London, and Manchester(?). We stood briefly in line and were motioned up to a desk for the London flight. I informed the customer service rep that we were travelling to Dublin, and what we were told by the previous AA representatives. Without checking to see if was possible to seat the three of us together, he told us that he could only put my wife and son together. Somewhat relieved, we asked him to revise their seat locations. He made the changes and handed us our new boarding passes. As we walked away from the counter, I noticed that the new boarding passes were for the London flight and did not have my wife's or son's names. We returned to the counter and told him that there had been mistakes made. He immediately snatched the passes from us and berated us for not telling him that we were not going to London. I told him that we had told him of our destination as soon as we approached the counter. He retrieved our original passes from the trash and told us to wait for the Dublin flight reps to arrive. Immediately, I called the AA toll-free number and informed the phone agent of all that had happened. She was able to locate two seats together for my wife and son, and told me to inform the gate reps of the information. Because of character limitations I cannot tell of the counter rep who was an angel and managed to seat the three of us together. Thank you!!!
Pros: The meals were good and the flight attendants were very pleasant.
Cons: The space and seats were uncomfortable. The seat my husband was sitting in (30A window seat), the touch screen seemed to have some technical issues, for it did not recognize when you touch the screen. It was a bit frustrating trying to select entertainment. Also, when checking in from our original departure location, MCO, we were not provided our boarding pass or luggage tags for our final destination, Barcelona, only to our connecting flight, Philadelphia. The connecting flight was delayed in MCO for an 1 hour and a half, after we have boarded the plane, therefore almost cost us to be late for our final flight to Barcelona. Since we were not given our boarding passes for PHL to BCL it caused confusion when trying to board our plane in PHL to Barcelona, and also caused for our baggage to not arrive with the flight. After landing, we spent an additional 2 hours at the Airport going through customs, and waiting on line for the lost and found desk for baggage in Barcelona. The lost and found desk had three agents available to assist, however we can only talk to one which was designated specifically for American Airlines. This caused a very long wait time of 1 hour. We were advised the bags stayed in Phildelaphia since they did not have the additional luggage tags, and will not arrive till the next day. Overall the experience within the Airport service desks and baggage check in' s was not a pleasant experience. I believe many of these issues could have been avoided if the American Airlines agents were more knowledgeable and attentive.
Cons: I nearly missed my flight because I did not have a seat for a flight that I bought a ticket for at full price. Which, would lead one to believe that I would have a seat on said flight. However, coming to the gate an hour before boarding the personnel working gate the said he was having computer difficulties and could not get me a seat and it would be 10 min. I continued to return till boarding to find out I had no seat and I was on standby. Upon going to customer service they replied the airline oversold tickets and every airline does this as if to make this practice ok. Well being in sales myself and if I were to sell x amount of product to one customer ( or several) I better make sure I have it all there to deliver. People rely on you schedule wise. It nearly shot a meeting I had to make in the foot. Very disappointed with the airline and the way things were handled.
Pros: The crew was great.
Cons: One of the worst flights ever. The plane was jammed. My seat was in row 20, directly across from the lavatory. The light was one every time they opened or closed the door. I had people standing right next to me with their rear ends in my face. The plane would be fine for a short trip with that many people and such small uncomfortable seats (and I am a little person 5'1"). But to put that many people on a "cattle car" for a 6 hour flight... no bueno. Also, I could not check in online to get seats and I wasn't able to upgrade. My husband was stuck 13 rows behind me. Worst flight ever.
Pros: They crew tried their hardest
Cons: There was no one at the gate to deplane us in Toronto. There for I missed my westjet connection home by 5 minutes. I was looking at the plane by the jet way unable to get on. AA staff would not pay for a hotel for being so late to Toronto because the wether was not thier fault, which I agree. But the lack of staffing was and a hotel should have been provided to me due to this. I will never fly America Airlines again due to my incoming flight to Toronto and the out bound to Philadelphia (cancelled on the way to Philly for no apparent reason).
Cons: When the flight was on time, we learned it was overbooked. Agents stated that if people would not willingly accept their offer to fly at a later time random people would be denied boarding. This was a stressful element as there was no other flight that could make me arrive on time. Plus, threatening to deny boarding to paying customers for airline related overbooking does not seem like a fair or good business practice. Then there were mechanical issue with the plane. After waiting over an hour for repairs they realized they needed a new air craft. This further delayed the flight. Not only was the flight extremely delayed at this pint but throughout the waiting time we were given very little information and were constantly told they couldn't give us an approximate time of departure. This was extremely rude and makes the experience of dealing with a delay even worse. I would suggest giving us more information about what is happening. Saying we don't know when the flight will leave is just unacceptable. To make matters even worse after we were finally boarded we had to wait an additional 40 minutes sitting inside the plane while they boarded refreshments! I know there are delays in flights but this same thing happened to my flight on my way to Paris and it caused me to miss my international connection and had to be re-routed.
Cons: It was a full flight, anyone in loading zones 7-9 were required to check their carry-on luggage. We were in loading zone 6, so not required and preferred not to due to our full day of air travel that would continue into a 3 hour car trip. My husband reached the gate, his ticket scanned, and let onto the plane. I walk up next, my ticket is scanned and then the personnel at the gate said in what I can only describe as the most disrespectful, inconsiderate, ill-tempered tone that he would need take my bag. He grabbed it out of my possession, shoved it into the luggage sizing rack and even though it did fit inside the lines, he said it was "too close" and would need to be checked. Not wanting to cause a scene and quite frankly speechless by this man's attitude, I did not object.. It was not until I was seated on the plane that I noticed more than a dozen items of luggage larger than mine and that the vast majority of people that had 3, 4, 5 carry on items when the maximum is 2: one personal item and one carry on luggage item. It was both the lack of respect and the lack of consistency that lead me to have an extremely "poor" boarding experience. Serious retraining needs to be completed and boarding attendants should not be able to harass airline passengers.
Pros: It got me on the way
Cons: An outlet and letting me get into Canada
Pros: Crew was amazing.
Cons: It would have been nice to depart within an hour of my original time.
Cons: The plane was extremely full. No chance of social distancing.
Cons: How about a sip of water atleast
Cons: Seats need to be bigger (wider)
Pros: The text messages from United
Cons: Nothing all good
Pros: Empty plane personal seating everyone
Cons: Delay for 3 hours
Pros: The crew was fantastic!! Friendly and attentive!!
Cons: More snack options other than pretzels would’ve been nice.
Pros: Great inflight service! On the ground faster than expected.
Cons: I asked to complementary check my small carry on, but the attendants at the desk would not let me. The stewardesses were booked too closely to their last flight and we were delayed - huge oversight. Boarding was chaotic as the gate immediately across from us was simultaneously boarding and the United staff made the whole process long and miserable by failing to call the next boarding group in a timely fashion. This is not the first time I’ve felt miserable while trying to board a United flight :/.
Cons: Kayak sent me a message that our connecting flight out of O'Hare was boarding at gate B5. However, checking the monitors in the terminal showed the correct gate was B21, which is on the opposite end of the terminal. I don't know why Kayak had the wrong information on this. We barely made our connecting flight because our starting flight was over 30 minutes late, which was United's fault. This made rushing to the correct gate for our connecting flight all the more stressful. No time to stop at the bathrooms or pick up something to eat. Both United and Kayak let me down on getting back to Hartford. We arrived at the end of boarding with no room left for our bags in the overheads so we had to check them and pick them up at the carousel. A totally BAD flight experience.
Pros: Friendly staff and efficiency
Cons: None that I can think of
Pros: Due to earlier delay, was not able to make this flight
Cons: Did not take flight due to earlier delay
Pros: I liked the extensive entertainment options.
Cons: I didn’t like that for about 10 hours there is no meal service.
Cons: The crew was very rude, I was told I had to store my purse, the person next to me wouldn't store the carry on baggage, I needed to take scheduled medicine in flight, I couldn't as my purse was stowed. I was delayed for over and hour and a half after arriving. I had to stop and eat in the airport. With chronic health issues addressed this way I will probably not use United again.
Pros: I'm glad the problem was found prior to us leaving the airport.
Cons: Having to wait almost 2 hours, missing my connecting flight.. causing undue stress prior to vacationing -OVERCROWDED!!! had to sit in a center seat squashed for 3 hours.
Pros: Free snacks
Cons: Not a lot of foot room
Cons: Plane was in poor condition. Made loud beeping noises during final part of flight. No power outlets at seat.
Pros: My father passed away earlier that day and I needed a ticket quickly to fly home. At the airport I was a mess and the airline counter attendant was so amazing helping me ( I had never flown United and had no idea about their luggage policies ect..). She quickly pulled me aside.. helped me with checking in and did her best to fine me another seat thatvwas better than the one I had already chosen. Also, she gave me a hug and her condolences. Flying with an airline that has heart helped me so much during one of the most difficult times of my life. I will absolutely fly with them again.
Cons: No complaints ... but I paid for a movie to take my mind off of my father's passing during the flight and there was a short in my monitor for our whole row. It kept cutting in and out and "searching for signal", I only was able to see 1/4 of the movie I paid for with all the interruptions in signal.
Pros: All was good. Flight attendants helpful and friendly.
Pros: Everything! The flight left on time and landed early. Service was great and the staff was super.
Pros: Well organized.
Pros: a little bit more foot-room than my previous flight on a different airline.
Pros: The crew was all very polite, attentive and helpful. They were troupers amid a flight gone bad.
Cons: My wife and I booked a round trip to California from Connecticut. We had a layover in Dulles with plenty of time to change gates. We arrived at our gate and established our place in the waiting area. We were then required to change gates; this was not horribly stressful as the gate was near by: However, on the return flight things changed. Keep in mind that my wife has arthritic hips and knees and I have arthritic knees. Arriving at Dulles, we went to our waiting area at Gate C-19 and ordered a breakfast at a nearby kiosk. Before our order was ready an announcement stated that our gate was changing to D-24. We waited for our order but had to leave the coffees behind because the lids did not fit correctly and we didn't want to spill them on ourselves while hurrying to the new gate (about a mile away). We finally got to that gate and boarded the plane. We wanted to wait to eat our food until we were airborne. We waited on the plane for about 45 minutes in the heat. During that time the "gate attendant" announced that they were waiting for that pilot who could not be found but was in the airport. At the same time my United App on my iPhone messaged me that there was a mechanical issue with the plane and we were waiting for another plane. At the 45 minute mark we were told the plane had a mechanical issue and we would have to disembark and go to Gate D-1 (about 1/2 mile away). My wife and I were already exhausted and needed to stop, but we did not know how long we had before boarding the new plane so we pushed onward. We then were told the plane would be a couple hours and that there was snack and water at no charge. My wife and I proceeded to dissect our breakfast sandwiches to eat what ever was still less than discussing. The new plane arrived and all else went well. We were delayed over 3 hours but made it to Connecticut; exhausted and sore. We had been awake for over 29 hours by the time we hit Hartford, CT. This experience will linger in our minds for a long time and travel by United my not be possible for us. We are very traumatized.
Cons: Took a long time to get support when gate changed. Could not walk at the time due to skiing accident.
Cons: Finally surrendered to the delays after 5 hours waiting (enough to drive to Hartford and back) and took an Uber home.
Pros: I fly weekly, but try never to book United because there are always issues with my support animal. Without fail, regardless of the city, the agents at check-in do not know what to do. Each time I'm met with annoyance at having to check me in, and I usually end up calling either the disabilities desk and handing the agent my phone, or asking for the CRO. I have to leave an extra 45 minutes to accommodate flying United every time -- ridiculous. This time I also got a load of unprofessional gate agents cooing and awwing at my my support animal, and trying to pet him. When this happens I always simply state, "please don't" and this was key with rudeness as well. United please provide us with more professional and adequately trained staff at the airports. Once we're on the planes it's fine. But you seem to have VERY low hiring standards for airport staff
Pros: All good, no complaints!
Cons: Hour late taking off and customer service terribleness!
Pros: United, as always, was professional and efficient. Once I was able to find the information from price line for my check in, everything went smoothly. I was impressed that the airline sent an email suggesting a change of itinerary due to weather in Chicago, and waived change fees to facilitate this. I got home without cancelled or delayed flights.
Cons: The kayak to price line to united interface led to communication breakdown. I received no notice to check in for my departing flight, and had to dig through several messages and 2 websites to find the appropriate confirmation number. It should be clearer who you are actually purchasing from, and there should be better fail-safes in place to prevent loss of information
Pros: Everything went smoothe!
Cons: Not 1 thing.
Pros: The incoming plane was delayed due to 'equipment prep'. Since it was connecting me to my longer leg, I was nervous. The crew did a great job of deplaning everyone and getting the plane ready for our flight with very minimal delay.
Cons: It was a quick 30 minute flight and everything was fine.
Cons: The tv kept shutting on and off
Pros: Flight was disorganized because of maintenance issue
Pros: Quick flight time.
Cons: The crew seemed so much less friendly on this flight, however they got the job done. I was scolded for having a carry on with me, although I did notice there was still a portion of overhead space that was unused. Also, no in-flight wifi service like the last flight was available it seemed. That was a bummer
Pros: TV option
Cons: Confusing boarding status regarding priority (how did I get 5th) Had to check carry on bag Terrible leg room. Worst I've experienced. Knees hit seat in front Rough landing
Pros: Seats are comfy
Cons: Food service sucks
Pros: Crew on the plane was helpful and nice.
Cons: Crew boarding the plane was bossy and a bit rude. I also think it's very inappropriate that United boards it's pre board group by saying, "anyone with disabilities can board now" The term pre board was created so you wouldn't have to publicly announce that someone was disabled.
Cons: Same as above, including late flight
Cons: Flight was delayed, missed connection, chose to go to Minneapolis and was booked on a flight that I didn't have time to get to the terminal, so was rebooked a 3rd time, missed my shuttle, have no idea where my luggage is
Cons: Had to wait to takeoff for approx 15 minutes due to maintenance preparing paperwork
Cons: Where do I start. Let's start with booking and the lack of knowledge, inability to listen and respond in an appropriate manner, and the fact that after I asked to speak to a manager due to the previous issues with the agent, and after being transferred all I needed was some understanding and support due to a family emergency and instead I get a short rude push back and then hung up on by the manager after I expressed my struggle and desperation for help. The lack of empathy and just the overall experience was beyond horrible, and if it wasn't for the desperate situation I was in I would have never used your services.
Pros: The boarding was very smooth.
Cons: The passengers behind me had a baby on board that cried throughout the whole flight.
Pros: Got me safely to my destination. Other passengers were friendly and helpful. Sf and Vic airports nice. flight attendants passably pleasant. No food that I was aware of. Entertainment at least there was a wifi option since there were no screens.
Cons: Check in agents all might as well have been robots, but with bad attitude. Even at the star alliance gold checkin desk the agent was clearly unhappy/furious (seem to be ongoing issues with the system/ machine frustrating him) and was consistently abrupt and cold though our interaction. He did help by lifting bags onto weigh and to press buttons to get the tickets issued, but I would have a much better experience of United if he has shown any sign of warmth or even smiled. I was struggling with a baby in a carrier, and several suitcase, and he didn't show any sign of humanity. The guy who labeled our bags was a bit nicer. The team overal though just barked instructions at the customers, never looked them in the eyes, and seemed to all hate their jobs. We got our boarding passes issues successfully, yes, but I felt on pins and needles like I had to be very careful not to offend anyone.... Which I don't think is what you want your passengers to feel at the start of a flight.
Cons: United's customer service (in the airport) is terrible.
Pros: In Flight staff very nice
Cons: Delays delays
Cons: Never took second flight it was canceled. I was very upset
Cons: They cancelled my flight into Hartford. I got stuck in Houston then they sent me to Boston. My car was at Bradley international on Boston so I had to wait a few hours when I landed at Logan before a rental car became available, which cost me an extra 200 dollars. I rented the car and drove to Hartford (2 hours) to drop the rental off and get my car. Needless to say I was exhausted for work on Tuesday after getting home at 3am and traveling all day. My original flight from Houston to Hartford was suppose to land at 8pm at Bradley airport. I had several people I was on the trip with who also flew into Hartford the same day with similar arrival times at bradley who were on different airlines. They either had small delays or no delays at all. Extremely inconvenient the trip home was. Although I am all for safety first I am not sure why other airlines still made the trip or simply delayed the flights. Doesn't make much sense since I usually fly United and always consider them the benchmark of air travel. Thanks. Torry Gajda
Pros: I liked hearing from the crew in the cockpit. Especially when they were funny - appropriate humor. 😊 I was very nervous about flying and their casual upbeat messages made me feel better.
Cons: My husband found the seats too hard.
Cons: No social distancing, they sell you cheap flights just to make everything an add on or extra charge. Kiosks we're having issues, employees just didn't seem to care.
Cons: Delayed for 4 hours - no communication as to why or any updates along the way
Pros: The flight was on time and early to arrive.
Cons: The seats are some of the worst I've experienced. I sat next to a grown gentleman and pretty much had half his body in my seat. My son thats 12 fits perfect but not adults
Cons: Took every precaution. Very courteous. Smooth flight even arrived a bit early. Over all Excellent trip.
Cons: The flight was delayed and not even announced at the terminal.
Cons: Staff didnt anounced why boarding the plane was been delayed, it was delay 40mins.
Pros: Everything was awesome involved with the flight.
Cons: I lost my my belongings prior to boarding, and the offer of a free snack or water would of been nice.
Cons: I've watch video's about the company and it was nothing like what I watched . Our flight was great the staff was great and i will be flying with you guys in August !!!
Pros: The services was nices
Cons: The first airplane was kinda small space for my feet. But the second plane to Dominican Republic was excellent
Pros: On time
Cons: After self tagging my luggage, the bag drop line was too slow. The price as viewed in kayak for Spirit is deceiving. Once you pay for all the add ones, bag charges , seat charges, it’s NO cheaper than any airline. But the leg room and no recliner seats sure are less comfortable.
Pros: At least food was offered.
Cons: Some workers are really rude, do not really want to work, can't be bothered to help check people in, but the minute they realized we were military they attempted to be only slightly better with their attitude. The whole plane was entirely way to small for any regular sized person yet alone my 6'5" husband, baggae fees are ridiculous, and the lady at the gate basically told a woman boarding that she had to put on her jacket on order to board instead of carrying it cause she was already carrying a carry on and a personal item.
Pros: clean plane
Cons: my carry on single bag was charge $55 because it was overstuffed by an inch. Rip off
Pros: They eventually got us there. staff were friendly.
Cons: Online check-in - DID NOT WORK. Awaited the email, but never came. At the airport - kiosk didn't work. Got an attendant - flight had started boarding 5-10m before getting the agent / *their* policy is no boarding passes after that -- even though hours earlier the online check-in was done. They charged for the baggage, so parts took. Reality seems to be that flight was oversold. Upon rebook at next flight - that one was delayed due to awaiting inbound flight attendant. They know this stuff hours ahead of time, but never say.
Pros: This flight had more legroom than ANY flight that I had taken in years. I'm not sure if I just got lucky and landed in an upgraded seat or if that is standard on that plane, but it was great! This crew was also one of the best I have encountered. The cabin was very cold, but as soon as I asked the attendant to turn up the heat, she happily did, and I was more comfortable. She then came back to check on me to make sure I was better. Then... when I was going into the bathroom to brush my teeth, she stopped me and insisted that I take take the fresh, unused portion of a water bottle to use-- so as not to rely on the "plane" water. I would never had thought of such a thing-- but she was right, and for that, I was safer and more comfortable. Both attendants were also immediately at the ready with unlimited hand sanitizer after my bathroom experience. These kinds of things show me that they were pre-prepared to go above and beyond for my comfort and well being-- that is RARE in the airline industry, and I definitely appreciated those extra steps. Please look up their names from my itinerary, and give them the credit they deserve!!! All of my gate attendants were great too.
Cons: Both of my flights that day were late, but honestly, I do believe that was due to the weather--- so I was not upset. The HARD sales pitch for bags and extras was excessive. There was no food or entertainment, so that's why I gave them a 1
Pros: Flight was early, plane was clean. Flight was uneventful
Cons: They charge ridiculous prices for luggage, even carry ons. Paid $42 each way for one checked bag. Food and drink are not free. Water was broken on plane in washroom. They try to get you to pay for a seat, otherwise you may not sit with your family. Only allow 40lbs in checked luggage, but you can bring as much weight as you want in personal or carry on. 41+ lbs costs an extra $30. They nickel and dime you for everything even $10 to print boarding pass. Initial price on Kayak was lower than everyone else, but with all the add ons turned out to be much more expensive. Not allowed to bring tennis racquets on board, have to check them. Jet Blue allows them to be carried on board. Will NEVER fly this airline again.
Pros: The fact that there was a nonstop flight from PHL to LAX at a reasonable time of day.
Cons: When we arrived, it seemed Spirit was understaffed. There was a long line at check-in, and no bag drop. The attendants seemed stressed, understandably. We were seated in the second to last row, in front of three unaccompanied minors. The flight attendants were doing their best to make sure the kids behaved, but they were incredibly disruptive. My wife and I agreed: unless Spirit has a deal that's too good to afford, we will not be flying with them again. What you may save initially, you pay for in quality of service, comfort, and convenience.
Cons: I have traveled on several different airlines in my lifetime and wanted to give your airline a chance. Although your ticket prices are lower than most, I do like to travel with a piece of luggage or at the very least a reasonable sized carry on. The fees to have a checked bag are ridiculous and the measurements required for carry on are substandard! The seat sizes are less than roomy and please know I am by most standards an average sized person weighing in at approximately 150lbs. The tray tables are extremely small and couldn't imagine having to actually put food or drinks upon them. Which leads me to your food and drink pricing, let's just say you don't even wear a mask when you rob your passangers! I would rather be thirsty and hungry than to pay the absurd amount of money you ask for. The crew, not real friendly doing the bare minimum of what is required. The captains on each end were more interested in talking on their cell phones than by greeting passangers. It goes a long way with passangers when you feel confident or at the very least acknowledged by the crew. There was no entertainment offered on my flights, which is fine as I can surely entertainment myself for 2 + hours. Their website is less than user friendly. Having to set up separate accounts for myself and family is time consuming and completely unnecessary! When there was an issue with the tickets it was very difficult to get any real help from customer service. The 'hidden' fees with Spirit are absolutely crazy! No money saved! I was so disappointed in my experiences with Spirit Airline. I couldn't in good faith recommend them to familyand friends .
Pros: Nothing! During boarding there was almost a fight... should've known then.
Cons: AC was broken, plane was dirty, cramped, charged for small carry on, in air advertisement like "AIR QVC", still Serve alcohol to drunk passengers who were yelling on small plane.. I mean that's a lot!
Pros: Courteous, smiling flight crew--professionals--were aboard the plane, well-versed in their jobs and prepared for every eventuality.
Cons: It was not Spirit's fault that the flight was delayed for two hours--that was due to weather--but there were no updates and when the clerk got on the intercom she was very soft-spoken and hard to hear. In order to effective deal with flight delays, one needs to have consistent updates, so that one can inform friends and family and arrange for rides from the airport that don't have to wait forever for the palne's arrival. It is difficult to be over six feel with long legs; leg room is nonexistent,, and non-reclining sits are difficult. Although I would never pretend that this was at all the fault of anyone at the airline. I was seated next to a woman who was very large--at least 400#, and quite broad-shouldered--and she took up half my seat. My back still aches, I couldn't lean back or straighten out or get comfortable in my seat because of her size. It made for a painful, difficult flight.
Pros: That the flight was over and I was done flying with spirit.
Cons: Literally everything is extra on a spirit flight. I have just started flying more recently and this is the first time I think I have taken a spirit flight because I would have remembered to avoid this company because of their service. If you wanted to bring a carry on bag that is bigger than a small back pack, you pay for it. Some water on your flight, pay for it. Leg room and comfort of the seats, horrible. Any in flight entertainment, no. Any USB charging, no. I would not choose spirit again if I have the chance. And there were plenty of delays with both my flight to and from my destination. I don't know if spirit has any control over that, but it makes for a horrible flying experience. My 1 hour 10 min flight turned in to 3 and a half hours thanks to waiting in the airport, on the terminal, and circling in the sky.
Cons: I had a small carry on which they forced me to pay $59 for at the airport. If you add this to the price I paid for the ticket, there is not much of a discount. The seats also did not recline which is not very comfortable. you pay for everything including the water.
Cons: My flight was delayed by over three hours on Sunday traveling from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Flight delays happen but there was zero communication from anyone at the airport let alone anyone at the customer service desk. They also changed our gate several times, which led people going back and forth completely confused and upset without anyone there to answer questions or help explain where we should be, etc. This was a terrible experience and I will not be flying Spirit again and will encourage friends and co-workers to do the same.
Cons: The least amount of legroom I'd ever seen on an airplane it was awful. I'm 4 10 and my knees were within an inch of the seat in front of me
Cons: A woman at the LAX (connection point) boarding area was so rude to the point where a supervisor got involved. I had a carry on with insulin(I'm type 1 diabetic) that she told me I had to check in. I politely asked her why since Philadelphia international did not give me any issues about it. I also told her that I'm type 1 diabetic and can die without it. She said "you're either checking this bag in or no one is boarding" and proceeded to put the security arm down. I spoke to a Supervisor, who told me it was completely fine. My 7 year old child and I finally boarded thanks to the supervisor. My advise to the wpmn is to stop and think why another reputable airport would have let someone through with the bag she's refusing to let in due to simple fact of size. This was not larger than a normal carry on. I understand that flights are often full and make these requests but certainly not in a humiliating way and ceerriamlg not after being told that it contains medicine that someone can die without.
Cons: I went to check in with the Spirit agents and they told me my bag would be fine for a personal item after I put it in the measuring display. However, when I got to the gate, they told me my bag was not allowed unless I paid $100 for it. I knew exactly which agent I talked to when I checked in for my boarding pass, but the supervisor wouldn't let me contact the agent at check in. The lack of communication is ridiculous. The supervisor at the gate was extremely rude to me and told me that my words were "bullshit." I will never fly with Spirit again and always pay for your bag because the agents at check in and at the gate are not on the same page with Spirit rules whatsoever.
Pros: The seats were comfortable
Cons: My sister and I and another passenger (not with us) came to the gate at 10:00am and our flight was at 10:15am. When we walked up there was a woman and a stroller just going through the gate doors but when we got to them the attendant said that we were too late and missed the plane. She said we needed to be there 10-15 minutes before departure time. The other woman showed her a phone with the time on it and said it's only 10:00am now and there was no page with names or last calls. And a woman just went through. The woman told us it didn't matter, they couldn't take us and sent us back downstairs to get a new ticket. My sister and I were at the coffee shop about 100 yards from the gate and if we would have heard our names being called or a last call for the plane, we wouldn't have gotten coffee! We had to go back downstairs to get another ticket, the plane they put us on was boarding right then and they told us they would have someone walk us through TSA but after we finished with the tickets they told us to go up and someone would meet us there...no one did. Thankfully the TSA guy remembered us and let us through the front of the line. When we got to our gate the woman there reminded people that if they were going to the bathroom or getting anything to make sure they were back 10-15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to depart. That flight was delayed 20 minutes anyways. I will never, ever, use Spirit again.
Cons: Flight from Detroit to Philadelphia was cancelled the morning of the trip. Wait time to talk to a Kayak rep was 1 hr 20 min, then the Kayak rep that tried to help us was informed by Spirit that we had to talk with them directly. Then the wait time for Spirit rep was over an hour and their website function was down. When we finally reached the Spirit rep they informed us that they would not help us reschedule another flight to get to our destination, and our choices were to get a refund or fly out with them 2 days later. Neither of these choices were an option for us, so we had to purchase last minute tickets on our own for an outrageous price with another airline. Spirit said the hurricane/weather was the reason they cancelled the flight, but the weather was fine on our route and no other airline had trouble getting from Detroit to Philly. I have NEVER experienced an airline being completely unwilling to work with me during scheduling problems. This situation cost us a ton of money, and worse we missed a very important event. We were extremely disappointed to say the least and will most likely not consider flying with Spirit again.
Pros: I tried to check in on line. No one sent me the check in mail. I tried many times. Since kayak sent it to price line, I tried with price line and it said to go directly to spirit. I went to spririt many time but unsuccessful. I fill in information but drops the information. I decided to check in at airport. Trains made big delays and arrived airport 45 min before departure and dead line was 1 hour before. I was cut. No other flights were available except for the same one on the next day. They charged $99 for change fee. I missed many appointments, spent extra $99. There is very little direct flights between phl and lax, and price seems good at the beginning but ended up expensive and lost one day, spirit had very very bad service and I don't want to use it again.
Cons: I want to receive mail for check in. Spirit should repair their website so that people can check in on line. They should make people check in at airport if they had a failure on their web. Check in dead Lind needs to move to 40min prior to departure instead of 60 min. if it was caused by their failure, they should not charge for change fee of $98. I just hate spirit.
Cons: The flight was delayed nearly 5 hours due to mechanical problems. As an early morning flight, the mechanical issues were known in advance--the plane did not arrive as scheduled the night before--yet passengers were not notified until check in at the airport. We could have made other arrangements (or slept until a normal hour) if we had been promptly notified. The gate agents were not understanding, and no accommodation--such as complimentary soft drinks--was made for our inconvenience. I felt like Spirit wasted my day.
Pros: Absolutely nothing. Our flight was scheduled for 750a. We wake up 5am to ge to the airport, while waiting for the cab I decided to check my email to find out the flight was cancelled due to "mechanical issues". Which means they didn't sell out the flight. The rep I called caught a lot of my animosity, which the issue wasn't her fault, but she remained professional to her credit. The next flight was the next morning already a day into my vacation. I declined cause I wasnt gonna be Charlie Brown to thier Lucy. She then closed out the phone call with the normal spill, "we appreciate your business, book online, we are always here for you etc." This further annoyed me. My vacation was ruined and you think I would ever give Spirit another shot at anything at all in my life.
Cons: This airline is serious about "no frills." I didn't realize this until check-in: my "cheap" ticket would get me absolutely nothing in terms of accomodations that most travelers depend on, like a carry-on bag. "No frills" policy aside - the check in process was HORRIBLE. I thought I could easily check in using my cell phone -- wrong. This website has no mobile version for cell phone users. I had to get my laptop to easily navigate the very slow website. Even when navigaing on the laptop, I had trouble navigating around between pages. I couldn't return to the previous page to de-select my chosen seats. It was also difficult to choose an option that didn't include PAYING for the seats.
Pros: nothing was impressive.
Cons: Charging for every single thing they can possibly charge you for. The icing on that cake is that they even charge you for water in flight. Now, that is so horrible. Only taking credit cards too. There are many older people on these flights that do not even have credit cards.... so they may not have water? Cheap flight!!??? nope, add everything together and with flight attendants that don't want to be there and a captain that let us sit on the tarmac for a good 15 minutes before thinking he should tell us what's going on. That was my first and it is my last Spirit flight! And i am telling everyone that i know not to fly Spirit. Some people I have told have stories of their own and said they won't fly Spirit ever again too.
Cons: We were unable to board out flight. We arrived at the airport 50 minutes before our flight. We tried but were unable to print our boarding passes at home. When we got there we waited behind 2 couples before getting up to the attendant. When we got to the front they told us we were too late and could not take our flight. We were 44 minutes before our flight and they close their system at 45 minutes. We called customer service and they told us the supervisor could open the flight and let us on if we showed her that we tried to print our boarding passes and could not. We had a picture and showed her but she did not care. She was not letting us on our flight for anything. I don't know if she was on a power trip or what but I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service and unwillingness to help a customer in my life. They then told us they could book us on the next flight out, which was the next day. We went to American and flew American. They were super helpful and got us on a flight out 2 hours later. Thankfully for American we only missed the first night of our conference and not a full day, like Spirit would have had us miss. I will never fly spirit again after that experience.
Cons: Spirit airlines cancelled our flight because of weather but every other airline continued to fly out. In fact, we were able to get a flight out at almost exactly the same time on American Airlines. The worst part was that they were trying to reschedule us for 2 days later!! They said that was the soonest we could fly on their airline. Im not sure who on earth can change their plans by 2 days at the last minute but it sure wasn't an option for us. There also was to be no help for the 2 nights (at 250$ per nigh0t we would have had to stay at a hotel.
Pros: We arrived in Philadelphia earlier than i expected, seeing that we didn't leave on time.
Cons: NO CARRY ON, my pocket book was counted as an item by itself, which means I had to put it into my weekend bag to make it one item.
Cons: The charges on my carry on was totally a disaster 55.00 I travel to Vegas with my carry on for free all the time .I got charged 55.00 that's it I will never travel with the Airline again .
Pros: There is nothing that I liked about flying this airline
Cons: From the minute we walked up to check in the staff was unpleasant and unprofessional. There are two signs, one specified that if you have a boarding pass you should join that line (assuming it would make the check in process shorter and less stressful) however we were told that there is only one line. My dad proceeded to recommend that they close the entrance to that particular line and was flagged off by the male gentleman at the counter. When I booked this flight I was very much aware that I had to pay for our bags however I had no idea that booking a flight for $180 would require paying $450 in baggage fees, one way. For four tickets I paid approximately $800 and will pay the same for my bags to fly. There is no reason why a flight to Florida for my family and I should cost $1600. Why is spirit the only airline with a 40lb weight limit. I fly frequently and was shocked when I go to the airport and was told that I needed to pay an additional $117 for bags. I did sign up for the membership with Spirit and i would like it refunded as I, nor my family, will ever fly with this airline ever again. Yes you have a young fleet however, I have yet to encounter one in my travels yesterday that was pleasant. I've worked in hospitality industry for over 15 years and frequently fly and have never had such a terrible experience. If I didn't have a return flight on spirit, I would not be flying with you ever again. But just know I've had my one experience and I will no longer. I was warned by others however I didn't listen.
Cons: Again it was a very bad experience I don't know why spirit is in existence. They rape you for whatever charges they can get with baggage the flight was delayed there was no one at the desk for over 2 outs the whole time I waited to get on the fight there were spirit employees sleeping in plain site at the gate sitting in wheel chairs that were for people on the flights I will never suggest to anyone this airline or use it again myself the only way I would even consider is if someone replies to my comments in email and reimburses some of the wasted money on baggage firstname.lastname@example.org
Cons: I didn't like that I paid for a flight plus they trick you and don't tell you that they charge $40 each way for a carry on and $10 to print a boarding pass. Then tell everyone at the gate the flight is delayed and I never got to fly. They literally shut the door in my face while the plane was still there and their excuse was that they would have to restart boarding in order to let me on. It was the most out rages ridiculous thing and they wouldn't give me a refund either So I pay for a flight that I never got to fly on Never use them again
Pros: Can't say I liked anything about this flight.
Cons: For starters, I get an email telling me I have to check in online or pay $10 to do it with a person (I'm ok with online check in but seriously?!). Then during online check in I come to find that you have to pay for carry-on luggage, and if you don't pay the $45 for it online you will pay upwards of $100 when you get there. Next I come to discover, although I bought a ticket I did not actually have a seat. I had to pay anywhere between $9-$45 to guarantee "I could sit next to my friend", if not I could take a gamble and not have a seat. Once we were seated on the place it turns out your seat is not guaranteed, two poor gentlemen behind my husband and myself were booked with the same seat. The amount of people I heard verbally express they were dissatisfied was so far greater than any "low fare" prices they offer. There is no form of entertainment (which I can deal with) and no complementary snacks or beverages; again, I can deal without them but they are such a standard on other airlines. Finally, I grew very annoyed with all their reminders as to why they do the things they do, in fact to "keep our fares low". I'm sorry your fares are not great because all of the hidden costs. Needless to say, I won't be flying spirit EVER again.
Cons: Spirit cancelled our flight two hours after its original take-off time, only informing us via e-mail. Passengers had to use the intercom system at the gate to get a live person to come talk to us and even then it was airport staff, not actual Spirit employees. The staff at the Spirit check-in counter would not help us, and our checked baggage was held hostage for two more hours with no word from Spirit as we all waited at the baggage claim. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I realize this is a cheap company, but if you can't even expect minimum service you're only wasting money and time. This company should not be in business.
Pros: I actually liked the fact that we arrived in LA 45 mins early.
Cons: The Flight Attendants weren't pleasant...one short "black Attendant serving in "Coach" seemed so miserable. She wasn't pleasant AT ALL! Her demeanor was as if she just would rather be somewhere else, anywhere else but here on this flight serving us. The other Attendants weren't overly friendly either, but they weren't as obviously indifferent as this short one was. The Pilot was the nicest part of the whole Fight. Also the fact that I had to pay $50.00 to check my bag $55. to be able to bring it on the plane...the most I've had to pay EVER! thus-far. So the money I saved w/ this Airline cost me more than if I were to have booked my flight w/ another Airline. Also, NO MAGAZINES TO READ, NO MOVIES TO WATCH, FOOD WAS BEING OFFERED AT A PRICE 4 times they dId this..I FOUND THIS TO BE EXTREMELY "TACKY" Especially considering the length of this FLIGHT to CALIFORNIA frm Philadelphia. I never had to pay for in-flight refreshments on shorter flights than this one. I''VE flown more than I ever have in this past year w/ different Airlines and this was the worse experience SO Far! It wasn't worth it! I am NEVER FLYING ANYWHERE W/ THIS AIRLINE AGAIN! I'd rather pay a little more than to be "NICKELED & DIMED" TO DEATH! Also the two passengers I sat next to said the same! Ya'll might want to address these matters or you may NOT EXSIST IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
Cons: Late flight. Delayed flight on and then delayed again... unable to tell us when the flight would take off.. unable to rebook flight to the next morning... Airport reported that plane was broken and required a part from JFK airport and that they did not know when that part would arrive...and once it arrived they had no idea how long it would take to fix that plane. Then approaching the new 3 hour and 40 minute delayed flight time, we ended up switching gates to a different plane anyway. the plane got into Dallas around 330AM which was difficult to make arrangements for transportation upon arrival. Would not fly again.
Pros: The Crew and the seat trays that perfectly fit an iPad for watching movies.
