Also the outlet at the gate didn’t work."

Compared to security staff overseas, the U.S. rates the lowest of the 55+ countries I've visited. It does not reflect badly on American Airlines, but it does give travelers a bad lasting impression. As an American, I'm embarrassed by their behavior."

Should not be my fault as when booking it indicated all four of my flights were with BA. Once booked it indicated the return flights were code share with AA. American should have allowed me on the earlier flight. That would have opened a seat on the scheduled flight which had people waiting on standby."

Our surprise was that the space above our seats ( row 30) was available and left empty the while fly! It was not fear and discriminated!"

First email came speaking of a delay, then second, then about five emails later American Airlines notified me that there will be a 4 hour delay. To get from Philly to avoca on a flight is half an hour. On a bus, its two hours. If an airline knows there will be a four hour delay, how do you not provide that service? I watched plent of other flights go to AVP and even to Allentown, no one could offer one of those options to me? Cold, compressed and miserable experience."

I don't know if Captain and the flight attendants were soft-spoken, or if the volume was not turned high enough, but I could hear less than have of what was said over the audio system."

Would have been more bearable, but AA's seats are sooooooo close together, that there is nowhere near enough room to stretch legs when weather causes delays. AA's seats are the most uncomfortable (in regard to space and lumbar support) of the three major airlines."

Cons: "We boarded the plane at 1:30 for a 2:00 flight, there was a filter out in one of the three bathrooms; the option to take a 45 min flight without use of the restrooms was there, we were told to use the restroom if we needed to before the flight so everyone did... then we continued to sit on the ground for two hours. After two hours we were allowed to get off the plane, 20 minutes later back onto the plane, backed away from the gate and then pulled into a different gate and were told to get back off the plane. At this point we were given no info or direction but to go talk to special services if we want to re-book a different flight (sold out until at the earliest 8:15pm). After about an hour they announce they are re-boarding the original plane, takes another 45 minutes to board the plane, then we are told two separate issues caused this lengthy delay one was a filter in the bathroom and the other was a thermostat... seems like very basic standard maintenance issues that could have been avoided with routine checks. We were offered zero compensation, the trip took over 6 hours in all to fly from Philadelphia PA to Boston MA; a trip I could have driven in less time. I continue to have issues with American Airlines and "mechanical" delays, the last flight i was on From Charlotte to Baltimore was delayed an hour due to a strap in the cargo area. I don't understand the logic behind the decisions made to hold the full plane over 5 hours instead of taking a 45 minute flight, but I will say the crew was very apologetic and handled the situation well."

Cons: "Everything else. I flew from PHL to IAH and was very unhappy with the experience. The gate agents were unfriendly. The bag check agents downstairs were unfriendly. I had two separate phone calls with United a week prior to the flight to understand and confirm the bag policy. This was AFTER booking my flight so they knew upfront I bought a basic economy ticket. After my first call, I understood a personal item would be free and I would be able to pay for my carry on bag, but only within 24 hours prior to the flight. I made a second call to be absolutely sure the previous agent gave me the correct information and pricing. So I paid the $25 for my carry on, checked in online, and waited at the gate while boarding at the very end because I was basic economy. They did not let me board with my bag. They requested another $50 to check my carry on with them or I would be rebooked. I struggled to afford the flight, let alone the carry on fee I had paid in advance. I literally did not have the money, and even if I had the cash, they only accept plastic. What blew me away was they weren't asking me to check my carry on because of the size. But because of my basic economy ticket, aka, the N fare. Despite checking with two employees by phone after buying my ticket and paying for a carry on in advance, there is a rule in place that states "if you have purchased Basic Economy, you will only be allowed one personal item, unless you are a Premier member or a primary card member using a qualifying MileagePlus credit card." Therefore, there is no alternative. You are a second class citizen; a no good deplorable, when you buy this ticket and there is nothing you can do to upgrade it. Only the "premier" passengers have the right to bring a carry on aboard even if you think you're paying for the privelage. What I was expected to somehow understand after asking two United employees prior if I could purchase the right to bring a carry on bag aboard, was to CHECK my CARRY ON downstairs or learn the hard way. Wow. What a ruthless way to learn this lesson. I waited 7 more hours to board the next available flight. What a nightmare. I thought I had did the appropriate research necessary and planned in advance to avoid these situations. Checking in online and contacting customer service prior is no longer the convenience it used to be. Even if you've done your research, bring additional funds with you. Even if you check in online and have a digital boarding pass, always check in with a real human prior to entering the TSA security line. A side note, United is trying to save money while "speeding up" the process by forcing you to use a computer to hand over your checked luggage. Speaking with a human now is a monumental struggle."

Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Flight was from Dulles to Hartford and due to depart at 12:30 pm. 12:30 pm - Notified flight delayed an hour or so because they didn't have a flight attendant for the flight. 2:00 pm - Notified flight delayed because Flight Attendant was found but on way. 4:00 pm - Notified the Flight attendant would not be able to make it, but they were looking for another one. 6:00 pm - Notified a Flight Attendant was found and was on a plane that was inbound and would be landing any minute. Notified plane with Flight Attendant arrived at gate and they would be there any minute and we could begin boarding. 6:45 pm - Flight was CANCELLED!!!!! I could go on about how I was rebooked on an 11:00 pm flight on American Airlines out of Reagan, my checked bag was not returned to me and I was told it was on another plane United plane that would beat me to Hartford, they shuttled me to Reagan. I got to Hartford and my bag was not there......SURPRISE!! This was ridiculous and thank god I was traveling alone and had time. I felt bad for the families with small children who had to suffer through this stupidity."

She joyfully told me that it costs $40 to carry my luggage and after I informed her that I saw it online for less she informed me that I should have bought it online. She then stuck me all the way in the last row of the plane. I am 5'9". My husband is 6'2" and over 300 pounds. Those seats have the least leg room. It was pure torture. The flight crew in the back help my poor husband by using humor to help him."

I called customer service to see if they were offering any restitution for this, and I was told that's not up to him. I will never never never fly frontier ever again."
Cons: "Carry on for $60?! Every other airline allows you to check a 50 lbs bag for $25 and bring 2(!!!) carry ons on the plane. Extremely mad about wasting that money. Never using your airline again as long as you're charging this ridiculous amount of money."

Cons: "The 'best' part: Frontier tried to charge me $104 to correct a mistake in my name during the online check-in process! I called and the customer service person agreed to make the correction without charge but also verified that the company did initially post the charge. In general, Frontier tries to charge for every conceivable aspect of a flight, including ANY seat you select (so you must decline to select any to avoid this) and the little snack bags on flights. Also, the first checked bag costs $35. Use with caution."

Cons: "I had not been prepared for how "no frills' your airline is, so I didn't know to expect rigid chairs with no adjustment, and that all items offered in flight were to be paid for. It wasn't a long flight, so I didn't miss not have a snack or drink, but I didn't know any of that in advance. My fault for not checking into it a little more, but it was a whirlwind trip to move my daughter and the travel was Spartan but necessary."

Pros: "The crew (Flight attendants) on June 20 PHL-DEN Fligth177 were totally unprofessional. I used Frontier Airlines for the first time and totally a 'disaster' I did upgrade seats for $45, No WIFI, restrooms inside of the plane were so smelly and disgusting.....But the worse part is the "CREW" they should go back to the training room class and take the course again regarding CUSTOMER SERVICE!"

Actually, it was initially 3.5, but then we actually got the aircraft at the gate before they discovered the crew was delayed on another flight. Then, you even have to pay for water and other refreshments on the plane. Give me a break."
Cons: "I arrived at the airport extra early due to the long TSA lines. However frontier would not check my bags until 1:30. I waited an hour to check before being able to going through security."
Cons: "If you board in standard coach it is a mess getting onto the plane. There is no organization to getting your boarding pass scanned. The price is very reasonable for a short flight."
Cons: "You have to pay extra for your seat - if you want to sit with your party and not be scattered all over the plane. You have to pay for your carry on and you have to of course pay for your checked bag. So everything you saved on the cost of the flight is eaten up with the extras."

So even though I bought the ticket last week and showed up over an hour early when I got on the flight there were no seats, the seat they said they gave to me 19A was filled with another passenger with a ticket saying 19A so they also did not know what they were doing. The crew told me to sit anywhere, but three of us ended up having to get off the plane. I ended up being stuck in Los Angeles and missing a million $ meeting. No appology, no credit for future flights was made or even attempted by the crew. I'm considering a lawsuit to be honest unless some very quick and good service is provided. The crew was rude and stressed and all about leaving on time. HORRIBLE."

Cons: "Spirit is hands down the worst airline I have ever flown on. We thought we had found a steal of a flight for $180 from Philadelphia to Ft. Lauderdale until we found out that they literally charge you extra for every single other thing. Just to pick our 2 seats round trip cost us another $56. Checking bags both ways was another $168. Then while checking in, we were charged $30 for an "overweight" bag. Every single other airline has a 50 pound limit, but once again spirit found a way to be cheap and sub-par with a 40 pound limit. Luckily we managed to avoid their $100 carry on fee for if your bag doesn't meat they're incredibly small limit. Oh and their app, which every single other airline allows you to download for free, is $5. Once aboard the plane, the seats are made of hard plastic with barely any cushioning and the seat back tray won't even hold anything larger than a beverage. There is also no on-flight entertainment offered. This has been a learning experience to say the least. Suffice to say, I will never fly with Spirit Airlines again. They are incredibly cheap and try to nickel and dime you for every little thing. 2 thumbs WAY down."

Cons: "Boarding took a really long time. We were scheduled to board at 10:40. Then they announce it would be at 10:50. That's fine, but there were no further updates and we didn't end up boarding until after 11. They called zone 1 to board, but they hadn't even deplaned from the previous flight so everyone was standing around waiting for far longer than they had to. Also, for some reason our flight was labelled as "on time" even though we ended up being about half an hour late."

Cons: "The baggage fares. I need the domestic flight to connect to my international flight. So I had to pay $124 on baggage which is totally free for my international flight. Won't be flying Spirit next time I need a connecting flight. We waited 2 hours inside the plane at the gate before departing. We just informed we were delayed because of paper work and only after 1 hour we got an update. After an hour and a half we were told we could get off the plane if we wanted to get something to eat or drink... I'm tall so my legs were crammed. I guess the quote is true: you get what you pay for. Pay cheap, get cheap comfort, cheap service and expensive luggage fare!"

Paperwork had to be done by hand and single supervisor working on another flight that she needed to get on ground before she could work on us. Everything extra. Need to pay step fees to get decent seat, reasonable amount of luggage, and even water. By the time you add all this up, not a bargain. Also they don't participate in TSA pre check so had to wait on lines even with this."

Crew did nothing, if I wouldn't have stopped the confrontation it may have gotten ugly."
