As boarding began she had to redirect at least seventy-five percent of those in front of me as they were not in First Class. Had she made one or more clear announcements about boarding procedure I rather doubt such a misunderstanding would have occurred with so many."
Cons: "For the third Delta flight in a row (all First Class) the crew did not make any effort to keep economy class cuctomers form storing bags in the First Class overhead or using the only First Class laveratory during flight. This flight I was unable to utilize the laveratory even once due to this excessive and continuous useage. Trying to do my bit to reduce our carbon footprint, yet I am sorely tempted to return to charter service when disrespect of the airlines own basic service class rules gets piled on top of TSA hassles."

It just didn't feel safe. Landing scared me a little too as I have landed in O'Hare countless times and have never flown so low to the highway upon entry. It felt like we were only a couple hundred feet above the cars."

Pros: "I fly weekly, but try never to book United because there are always issues with my support animal. Without fail, regardless of the city, the agents at check-in do not know what to do. Each time I'm met with annoyance at having to check me in, and I usually end up calling either the disabilities desk and handing the agent my phone, or asking for the CRO. I have to leave an extra 45 minutes to accommodate flying United every time -- ridiculous. This time I also got a load of unprofessional gate agents cooing and awwing at my my support animal, and trying to pet him. When this happens I always simply state, "please don't" and this was key with rudeness as well. United please provide us with more professional and adequately trained staff at the airports. Once we're on the planes it's fine. But you seem to have VERY low hiring standards for airport staff"

Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

The lack of empathy and just the overall experience was beyond horrible, and if it wasn't for the desperate situation I was in I would have never used your services."

She then stuck me all the way in the last row of the plane. I am 5'9". My husband is 6'2" and over 300 pounds. Those seats have the least leg room. It was pure torture. The flight crew in the back help my poor husband by using humor to help him."

I also didn't realize I had to pay for a carry-on bag but that I was told much sooner after my booking. When I went to check in for my flight the day before, I then learned to choose a seat I needed to pay as well. And if I didn't pay, what--standing room only on this plane? Pretty shyster-y. Next time, I'd rather pay the $95 upfront for an airline I've heard of, rather than be tricked and be on a poorly maintained plane."

Lauderdale to Guatemala." He had to fly into San Salvador or wait until Wednesday. Today he has to pick up his luggage from Guatemala City which is 2 hrs. away from his house."

Cons: "In the matter of an hour, they delayed, canceled, uncancelled, and then delayed our flight for over three hours. During all of this, their employees were completely unreachable. PLUS they charge $40 for a carry-on!! Complete scam!! I will never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "I had a small carry on which they forced me to pay $59 for at the airport. If you add this to the price I paid for the ticket, there is not much of a discount. The seats also did not recline which is not very comfortable. you pay for everything including the water."

Pros: "Let me start with the fact that I will never fly Spirit again, ever! My 5:58 flight was delayed at least 6 times. Each time with a different excuse for the delay. Between mechanical issues, weather (clear weather from PHL to FLL), no flight crew, and out of hours, the airline used ever excuse in the book. Once they determined we could not fly that night, our flight was pushed to the next day. They only had 2 irrate employees working who were just condescending to many of the frustrated passengers. They would not compensate the rooms for the night, nor refund people so they could take another airline. I also called spirit customer service line and the insurance contact I had through priceline. Neither provided any sort of help. Additionally, spirit had discounted hotel options, but did not distribute them to all waiting at 12am for some type of info and support. The next day, they told is our flight would leave at 10. We again werr delayed 2-3 times and didn't take off until the afternoon, causing me to be late for the wedding I was a part of. There is so much more to tell, but I need to file a full formal complaint later to Spirit, priceline, and the flight insurance company. This was hand down the worst flying experience I have every had in my life. And o fly at leave 1-2 times a month."

After 2 gate changes and a delay, we were told incorrect information by a Spirit flight attendant who told us to go to A14, when really we should have been at A2. But the flight board showed our flight number at A14. So we go to A2 and the plane door just closed - I watched the door shut - and they said we were too late. My BF (who is black) didn't say a word, but the attendant tried to say he shouted at her. I have 3 witnesses who say no announcement was made for a gate update, no final boarding call, etc. The Spirit supervisor lied and denied he was a supervisor. I had 2 different people lie to my face and I watched my plane pull away while my BF was being told that he was "screaming" at people (not true, have witnesses who are willing to testify). I have contacted my lawyers and I will be pursuing legal action. I will never book Spirit again and I have contacted my CC company to get my funds back 100%."

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The voucher doesn't cover the ADDITIONAL COST of the seat or even the luggage!"

I didn't realize this until check-in: my "cheap" ticket would get me absolutely nothing in terms of accomodations that most travelers depend on, like a carry-on bag. "No frills" policy aside - the check in process was HORRIBLE. I thought I could easily check in using my cell phone -- wrong. This website has no mobile version for cell phone users. I had to get my laptop to easily navigate the very slow website. Even when navigaing on the laptop, I had trouble navigating around between pages. I couldn't return to the previous page to de-select my chosen seats. It was also difficult to choose an option that didn't include PAYING for the seats."

Cons: "The boarding pass I printed at home did not include my infant daughter that I planned to hold on my lap. Somehow I made it through security with this ticket, but then couldn't board. The woman at the desk fixed it in the system but I boarded last, which was stressful. When we landed in Ft. Lauderdale, the stroller I checked at the gate was nowhere to be found. I was told to check baggage claim. Luckily it was there, but getting there involved a long walk with my daughter and 2 bags in my arms. Very frustrating. For the return flight to Philadelphia I tried to add my daughter to the boarding pass I printed at home. No luck. Instead I had to wait in an extremely long line that went out the doors and into the heat of the sun with my daughter. I was told I had to wait in this line because I did not add my daughter to the boarding pass. I told them she was in the system but it wouldn't print on the pass. Then I was told that was because they had to see my daughter in person. ?!?!?!? Very frustrating."
