The flight was operated by Latam. The aircraft had a technical issue and the flight was delayed for the next day. They grounded other passengers to get their airplane assigned to my flight. Most of he ground staff don't speak English (Orlando Airport), but were very polite.The crew on the other hand could speak English and Portuguese. On board service was good.

The agent at check in and at the gate were less than thrilled to be at work. I'm not a fan of Kayak's placement on the plane. I got put in the middle seat and none of my preferences were used.

In ATL they have two sets of departure screens. Follow what is on your airline's departure board - the ATL Airport Authority departure board had completely incorrect details about the gate assignment for my flight, which would have made me miss boarding.

Flight was delayed it was hot while sitting on the plane, one engine was working on the plane until they had to do some jimmy rigging down the runway in order for the other engine to charge up. It was ridiculous

I liked that my son and I were reseated next to each other (we had different bookings). I liked that it was a directg flight and mostly on time. I liked that you provided pillows and blankets. Flight attendants were generally courteous. The messaging through wifi did not work well. The food was not good. Seats are very narrow and I felt slightly claustraphobic in the window seat.

At the outset, I would like to acknowledge that this was a full long-haul flight of approximately 14–15 hours, and while the journey fulfilled its primary transport objective, several aspects of the experience warrant both recognition and constructive feedback. 1. Cabin Crew Conduct and Service Consistency While the majority of the cabin crew maintained a polite and professional demeanor, one flight attendant’s conduct was notably inconsistent with expected service standards. The tone was often directive and lacked the warmth and guest-centric engagement typically associated with long-haul service. This created a perceptible imbalance in the cabin experience. Although other crew members acknowledged and apologized for the behavior, it highlighted a gap in service standardization and supervisory oversight. 2. Inflight Experience (IFE & Comfort) The inflight entertainment system was unreliable, with content failing to load consistently throughout the journey. Seating comfort in economy class was below expectations when compared with other international long-haul carriers. Cabin environment management at times felt unsettled, with noticeable noise and movement in the aisles. 3. Disruption Handling and Communication (DEL Diversion to JAI) The diversion to Jaipur due to weather was understandably beyond the airline’s control. However, the handling of post-diversion communication and guest management was an area of concern: Information during and after the diversion was fragmented and lacked clarity Limited guidance was provided upon disembarkation regarding next steps (transport, accommodation, onward travel) Ground coordination appeared inconsistent, with hotel partners and passengers receiving incomplete or delayed updates Communication the following morning remained unclear, including last-minute changes to transfer timings This resulted in avoidable uncertainty during a critical disruption phase. 4. Positive Acknowledgment – Ground Recovery Arrangements It is important to recognize that despite the initial communication gaps, the overall recovery framework was eventually well executed: Hotel accommodation was arranged efficiently Meal vouchers were provided appropriately Transfers between airport and hotel were organized in a structured manner Given the sudden and large-scale disruption, these arrangements were commendable and reflect the airline’s ability to operationally recover once systems were in place. 5. Recommendations for Improvement In the interest of strengthening the overall customer experience, I would respectfully propose the following: Service Delivery Reinforce consistent cabin crew service standards, particularly for long-haul sectors Enhance supervisory presence to address outlier behaviors in real time Inflight Product Improve reliability of inflight entertainment systems Reassess economy seating comfort for ultra-long-haul routes Disruption Management Establish a more visible “Care & Coordination Team” during irregular operations Ensure clear, centralized communication (single source of truth) for passengers and ground partners Provide structured briefing points to hotel and transport vendors to avoid information gaps Introduce proactive guest engagement (clear next steps, timelines, reassurance) Closing Reflection: While the journey was impacted by both controllable and uncontrollable factors, the overall experience would have been significantly enhanced through greater consistency in service delivery and more structured communication during disruption. I appreciate the efforts made by the broader team in arranging accommodation and onward logistics under challenging circumstances. I'm not sure American is capable of on-time arrivals and departures. When you land at ORD, you almost always get held on the tarmac because your gate is still occupied. I may have missed my connection, but that ended up up being significantly delayed as well. Once again, I finally got home well after midnight.

Early morning flight and no food in First Class except a "salmon" box. No thank you. Was informed before take off by Captain that the plane was not serviced before we boarded in Phoenix. How does that happen? Need more frequent additions/turn over on the Entertainment. Thanks

It was the most un-special flight experience in my life.

We called Kayak for a change due to the TSA situation in Atlanta. What we got was a canceled return flight (in error) and we had to find the mistake. Not happy with Kayak who blamed it on AA.

The baggage claim experience was poor. The plane crew and the AA app said that checked baggage in CLT would be at carousel 7 but the sign at Baggage Claim said carousel 1. The carousel 1 sign had the correct flight # listed above the belt. But the luggage never came. I went to an AA baggage claim office after about 1 hour and the clerk directed me to another AA room that was poorly marked, with a closed door and no obvious way to know what to do. Finally someone opened the door and my bag was inside. The clerk was totally unable to explain why.

Lack of gluten free options in food service. I have Celiac disease and it appears you no longer offer special meals for people with dietary restrictions. I am a frequent flyer traveling into and out of Omaha airport. I have noticed over the course of several months that although our flight typically arrives ahead of schedule (awesome job AA!) - we typically sit on the runway for several minutes waiting for the ground crew to get in place. Not sure if it is a ground crew issue or a gate availability issue (due to construction at this airport). Seems to be more of a ground crew being on time issue.

Flight was delayed by several hours and then cancelled due to weather. But Staff was very helpful getting me on a different flight. United should offer food coupons and tooth brush and paste for stranded passengers

I upgraded to the business class cabin. It was the poorest business class I have ever experienced. No access to any business lounge in Tampa airport. Seats are not comfortable. I had a window seat and had to step/crawl over the next seat. Food was mediocre and service below average for business class. Bathroom location was ridiculous. No place to wait. I cannot believe I paid this kind of money and will never fly Lufthansa Discover again. They really should reimburse me somehow.

Terrible. Lost our luggage for 4 days. Did not advise passengers there was a strike in Barcelona Airport and had zero personnel on hand at airport to advise passengers on where to go to file claims. We had to fend for ourselves. No assistance at all other than an online claims submission process that we had to find out about on our own.

Lufthansa cancelled our flight from Los Angeles to Naples Italy on March 10 for scheduled flight on March 12 Very stressful experience trying to arrange alternatives. Will never fly again with Lufthansa

Boarding was by group and we had to take the bus. There were no elevators so had to walk down the stairs. It would help to have escalators or elevators. Note I had a special needs child and the gate crew was rushing us in. The bus was full but we were packed with no seats to sit.

Someone switched seats in business class so they could sit together and we were left apart (3). Very disappointing. Staff did nothing

Somone switched seats to sit near friend causing us to be disconnected (3) business class. Very disappointed. Staff did nothing.

Boarding was orderly, pilot and flight attendants were nice, entertainment options were good, and low sodium meals were quite tasty.

The map feature on the display at the seat had challenges. The biggest issue was the flight had no WIFI. Most of the smaller planes now have free WIFI. American Airlines on the flight over had WIFI you could purchase. With 8-10 hours on a single flight, the ability to do work via WIFI is essential!!

The whole experience was excellent, O can say out from Miami the best airline to travel with for any European destination. Since the ground staff to the inflight crew attention was great, service on board 10 of 10. Finally the 380 is very confortable and nice to travel.

All crew except 1 were excellent. When I asked assistance with business class seat conversion to a bed (not being familiar as never used before but have numerous times with other airlines) crew member helped very reluctantly. I should have told her that business class seat conversion is totally different in each airline such as Delta, New Zealand Air and United. Sorry it was my 1st time with America Airlines. Now I know, I won't bother asking assistance in future.

1st class seats NOT REALLY 1st class or business class but like premier economy. Should be listed as such or named something else. I have flown 1st class with other airlines and they are nothing like it at all.

The seats in Premier Economy were very comfortable. The food was better than average. The way British Airways handled our seating was atrocious.

Worst airline in the world. They downgraded me from business class to economy with no compensation.

Flight delayed, connection was not at gate listed and so missed, staff were rude at Heathrow, phone tree stupid and difficult, took me 21 actual hours to reach my destination. Almost lost my hotel reservation after walking in a strange city alone after midnight because they would not put me up in a hotel at sfo or heathrow. I will never fly BA again and will tell all people and Instagram followers never to fly BA.
