One of the worst experience given the middle seat even asked for the change no one honored, boarded at the end and overall one of the worst experience
It was good although our flight to the UK was cancelled and rescheduled for two days later. This was after we were already seated on the plane. We missed the first leg of our trip. BA did put us up at a hotel and paid for our meals but we lost our hotel costs in Glasgow.
Must have had an elderly tour on the trip. Plane boarded via tarmac and had both front and tail stairway access. We waited about ten minutes at the rear entrance while elderly folks entered the forward access and walked all the way back to last rows of the aircraft! We could not access the row until every one of them finally reached the final rows. There should have been an agent directing folks Forward and Aft based on seat row. It was comical.
1. The website didn’t allow me to checkin from London as I have Bangladesh passport with US permanent resident card. This pushed me to sit with my wife in the middle of two aisle seats, terrible experience! 2. BA should allow within 24 hours to checkin with other passport holders to choose better seats. A 2nd verification of travel documents can be done at the desk about immigration status. 3. Food options were poor for vegetarian passengers, try to introduce healthy options avoiding carb-dense food ingredients.
It was perfect. The service was exceptional. I would never want to cross the Atlantic in anyone else's sardine tins.
The flight was good. It arrived at Heathrow on time but then there was no transport to take us to the terminal. We sat on the plane for an hour waiting for a bus. I will avoid Heathrow if possible in future. The crew were very apologetic.
I paid for full WIFI- it was terrible, kept being in and out could not listen to a podcast
It was ok. Our flight was delayed 2 hours, and then again on arrival. The explanation given felt feeble.
British Airways Flight 525 from Florence to London on July 29th 2025 was the worse flight I have ever been on. The flight was excessively delayed with poor communication from airline as to the reason for delay. We were notified of need for an unscheduled stop in Pisa after boarding due to weather which was limiting ability to fuel up to the capacity needed for the flight to London. Though we understand and appreciate the safety concern, on quick web search we later learned this was a recurrent problem. We were subsequently kicked off our connecting flight out of London to Port land, Oregon (also on British Airways) though that flight was also delayed (we were told we would not be able to make it in time, but ironically the amount of time it took for them to rebook us would have been more than sufficient to make the connection). We then had to stay overnight in London at a very mediocre hotel, had to take a flight out on a different carrier which involved a stop at LAX (not a direct flight to our home city which we had paid extra for the convenience). Half of our bags did not arrive in LA and we had to transfer the bags ourselves from the international terminal to terminal 6, only to have most of this luggage that made it from London to LAX not arrive in Portland. They bags were eventually found but took over 60 hours for delivery. The entire trip home which was suppose to be 13 hours took over 40.
The gate at London Gatwick had confusing signs for the different zones and the staff seemed harried because people didn't know when it was their turn to come to the desk. Plus, with there were too many carry-on bag travelers, myself included. The charge scheme for checking bags is frustrating. If you travel light, you want the freedom to leave as soon as you deplane. When you are forced to gate-check your bag simply because the flight is fully booked, you lose whatever time you'd hoped to save because you're still stuck waiting for your bag to come off the conveyor belt.
