"They were on time. Staff was professional and pleasant. Allowed me to have a carry on and select my seat. Very reasonable cost. Easy online check on and sms reminders. Will fly with them again."
Cons: "Refundable tickets"
Pros: "Good snacks"
Cons: "Seating was no good"
Pros: "Excellent service"
Cons: "All good"
Pros: "Service and overall cleanliness etc. was very smooth, good and clean. I sat in seat 1A both ways and as the first person to get on and off the flight found the process well laid out, easy, clean and smooth. I also got to witness the boarding process from inside while seated. Very professional and courteous all the way. The first class cabin was sparsely filled with ample space between us and based on how many people I saw getting on, I think the rear cabin must've been sparsely filled as well. More on the comfort aspect in the "what would have been bettter section" ... in short, the seats are the weakest link in the chain."
Cons: "My only gripe is about the seats fitted in first class for this Alaska Air leg (JFKSFO). Like most, my travel frequency has dropped so much that I can finally afford to pay full fare first for the few times I do need to travel. I expect that this will more likely be the norm than not and hope/expect that more among us who can afford to pay extra for the additional comfort, do so. The airline industry will need to keep that segment to get ahead of this seismic shift in travel patterns that 2020 has brought upon all of us. I was hoping to just sleep through it. I normally sleep well/easily on flights (at times, "too well"!) but could not do so on this leg. The seats in first class are just not meant for sleeping and are thus limited in their positioning ... brief napping is the best you can do - carry your entertainment/work or plan on meditating while fully awake. The base is for all intent and purposes, immovable (maybe a couple of inches back and forth at best). There is no concept of a foot rest in the design. The back locks into one of two positions - a vertical one for take-off/landing and a second one tilted about 15 degrees or so. That makes it impossible to stretch the body out while fully supported - so hard to go into relaxed/deep sleep for those who wish to do so. The front passenger seat of a common car offers more for a five hour road trip - something to ponder on, eh? Upgrade the seats ...the extra investment will pay for itself quickly in this age of reduced travel as you'll attract more of those who are lucky to be able to pay a little more to fly in comfort for the few times that they need to. Additionally, sleeping passengers are often the easiest/cheapest to service!"
Pros: "The crew was very nice, polite, and were mindful our my needs."
Cons: "The seats could have been more comfortable. I had a long flight and was hoping to sleep in the plane. My seat had a reclining feature, but I still had a difficult time sleeping and my neck was sore."
Pros: "The crew was good. The problem was our Qantas flight from Auckland New Zealand, to Sydney, Australia, to San Francisco, to Seattle didn't sync with Alaska Air. We arrived in San Francisco after a very long flight. We had gotten our boarding passes in Auckland. When we went to board in SF, there was a glitch and they wouldn't let us board. It took a long time to get that fixed. We missed our flight (with our luggage on it), and had to wait several more hours. Plus Alaska Air had cancelled a flight mid morning and the trickle down result was many people were stuck and waiting on flights. Then we had to wait for a crew to come, then they found something wrong with the plane so had to get in a new plane. It was a long and hard day for everyone."
Cons: "I don't know how you sync airline tickets but if they had synced as they were supposed to, none of this would have happened."
Cons: "Crew wasn’t particularly outstanding, they did a fine job. Not proactive at all. Pleasant when asked."
Cons: "I love Alaska"
Pros: "Boarding was unsatisfactory. I and my family were the initial few people who boarded the flight. We were asked to check in the bag saying the bag was little big while many people who boarded after us had bigger bags. We had a carry on roller bag, small carryon bag and a back pack for the 5 people from the family and we were asked to check in the bag. While people who had 2 bags per person with the carry on roller bags bigger than ours was allowed to carry the bags inside."
Cons: "Boarding experience could have been better"
Pros: "Cool to get bonus points for the trip"
Cons: "Would have been nice if flight attendants walked the aisle regularly during the red eye flight, I was very thirsty and in a window seat with 2 sleeping people..."
Pros: "The crew was great, the plane was clean and updated, the in-flight entertainment was good."
Cons: "On both of my Alaska Airlines flights we took off later than scheduled, by over 15 minutes. It could have been due to the congestion at LAX. And the seats were comfortable if not a little cramped. I also wish we would have been offered adult beverages on my late flight into SFO -- helps for sleep."
Cons: "Food. Meal service. Coffee. Screens for movies"
Pros: "Our flight was delayed for a red eye to Newark. Guest services was nice enough to give us meal vouchers because they couldn’t rebook us on another flight."
Cons: "The boarding gate changed. Intercom system announcements could be better."
Cons: "No worthy"
Cons: "It is much better now"
Cons: "Ventilation, flight was stuffy."
Cons: "No blankets on an overnight flight is just cruel."
Pros: "Crew, boarding and super early arrival"
Cons: "Seats are very comfortable, food options couldve been better and there was no inflight entertainment"
Cons: "More room and more padding."
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "The seats were very uncomfortable. They were unable to recline at all!"
Pros: "Service. Comfortable plane."
Cons: "Delay Part not available"
Pros: "The crew was excellent. The entertainment was good."
Cons: "They changed our seats from the original ones. We ended up in the last seats. No way to recline. Very noisy."
Pros: "Pilot was excellent The movies Flight was really smooth Take off and landing were perfect"
Cons: "Inadequate bathrooms Loud noises Crowded Attendants were rude at times"
Pros: "Crew was nice"
Pros: "I like the idea of allowing pre-boating for families with small children or elderly parents to some extent"
Cons: "I did not like that the airline allowed more than 1-2 people to accompany 1 small child when pre-boarding. I happened to be able to go in with the general boarding but was one of those who was first in line within this group. My seat which was 5C already had no overheard room!!! It appears that 1 child was accompanied by 4 adults when they pre-boarded and in addition to their carry-ons, they put their foldable stroller, backpacks and totes in the overhead bin!! The airline announced a request for people to leave the overhead bin spaces for bigger carryons but does not enforce it. Flight attendants should not feel uncomfortable actually asking to whom the backpack or tote belong to and tell passengers to put those under their seats. Somehow, passengers need to be educated on proper etiquette. Also, pre-boarding should only allow 1-2 people to accompany a child or an elderly person. Pre-boarding should not be taken advantage of by all adults traveling with those needing it."
Cons: "They lost my luggage and caught us at Newark airport for around 2 hours and did not pay back. They gave us a cheap coupon with limited duration. Plus, they broke my luggage and never paid back."
Cons: "I don't normally leave reviews, but words really can't describe the nightmarishness of what should have been a quick four hour flight from San Francisco to Washington. Seats for my wife and I were not where I had reserved. Plane had one working lavatory for a cabin of 150 economy passengers. This resulted in a line that stretched the entirety of the single aisle of the plane for the majority of the flight. The second toilet simply had a piece of paper with sharpie that read "DO NOT USE!!" There were two attendants, one of whom wore a t-shirt and was mostly indistinguishable from the passengers. Didn't get so much as a cup of water until over two hours into the four hour flight. No snack, but that's the least of my complaints really. The attendants spent most of the flight in the back of the plane discussing their new vacation lottery and where they were going to go out drinking when we landed–I know because the rear of the plane was where I ended up, forced to smell the single working toilet, in a seat that didn't recline."
Pros: "Courteous crew, quick boarding and roght time flight"
Cons: "No free snacks for a six jour flight. Restrooms were too small."
Pros: "clean and spacious"
Cons: "Nothing at all"
Cons: "In the SF airport, your crew accepted me to pay for $25 for putting my suitcase into the plane. But then, she mentioned that the flight was delayed and there was no way that I can made my connection from LA to Indianaplis. So I was given a boarding pass with my suitcase ($25 paid) only to LA. The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."
Pros: "Everyone is so nice. Easy & reasonable price."
Cons: "Seat was broken and would not recline so incredibly uncomfortable for red eye. I was freezing (though I’m often more chilly than others). Not great food options."
Pros: "A lot of leg room and I’m a short person so I was swimming in my seat! Also love the free movies! Can not complain!"
Pros: "Leg space was good"
Cons: "The economy should also be provided lunch. There is no use for entertainment without headphones. They should provide"
Pros: "free drinks"
Cons: "Slow and disorderly boarding at SFO"
Pros: "That the problem was eventually fixed."
Cons: "I arrived at the SFO at 715. I checked in and went straight to my gate. After sitting in the gate area just a few minutes, the women at my flight desk announced a delayed flight(flight would depart at 10 instead of 855) The asked that passengers come retrieve their meal vouchers. She checked my boarding pass and I went and ordered myself dinner and returned to sit down close to 9pm. I waited for the screen to change for the new flight information but it never did. The terminal was busy with music and basketball finals.lost of mumbling announcemrnt so I kept checking my flight screen and it still had the original flight. I sat waiting. All of a suddent the tv changes and it’s a different destination??? I got up and asked why my flight wasn’t posted and she told me ‘sweetheart your flight left 20minutes ago.’ I was shocked. How could this happen? She informed me i’d missed my flight that was never delayed. I was so tired and worried and she kept calling me sweetheart. Telling me there were mo more flights but that she’d put me on a 6am the next morning. With my disability I was so worried I pushed and pushed and spoke to both counter airling people. Finally, I got mad and she put me on united. I am so upset about the whole ordeal. That was a surreal awful experience that had me crying on the way home."
Cons: "Babies in the same row of seat, fussing on descent, gives me a headache."
Cons: "No food"
Pros: "The plane felt and looked clean. Crew members decent."
Cons: "My chair was broken and did not recline. Crew member apologized and said they would make a note of it. Also, the flight does not serve a single complimentary snack. Not a single peanut in a 5+ hour flight from California to New Jersey."
Pros: "The crew were great, security at the airport took over an hour to get through so I arrived at the gate 10minsbefire takeoff. The crew were great in getting me on board and checking my luggage was still there t"
Pros: "The attendant who helped me was extremely helpful in arranging for me to be on the next flight to Portland, out of San Jose. She called and arranged for a shuttle to pick me up in San Francisco and bring me to San Jose at no cost, and provided me with a flex ticket so that if I missed the next flight I could be on the subsequent one. (I did in fact make it -- just barely -- onto the 11:15 flight out of San Jose, so when all was said and done I landed in Portland about three hours later than originally planned. As it was a very short trip, I'm quite glad that I only lost the time that I did.) Thank you, Diane (Diana?), for all your help."
Cons: "I had originally been scheduled for an 8:45 am flight out of San Francisco. As I was leaving for the airport at 6:30 I received a text saying that my flight had been delayed until 10:08. I ended up arriving at the airport around 9:00 and making it over to the service desk around 9:20, at which point I was told by one of the attendants that the flight had left at 9:18 and I should have been at the airport two hours early. There was no acknowledgment by this particular attendant that I had been given wrong information by the airline that had resulted in my missing the flight."
Pros: "it made it on time.... we travel / fly a lot. First time with Alaskan an was far from impressed"
Cons: "All out of food... morning flight an no warning or anything g. We could have ran an got something before boarding started .... they drive the cart by with what I guess... the only 2 options of each category for the first 10 people... to then say... o sorry we have nothing.. An no compensation for it but sorry.... do u a humus pack for 8 bucks.... then one second later when my wife decides she wants it... they say they just gave away the last one... it was redic. Not to mention weren't even all the way in the back Glad to see a few people up front able to eat..."
Pros: "Missed my flight at it was rescheduled for $25 without asking a questions"
Pros: "The in flight cookies were deliscious"
Cons: "I arrived to my gate about a half hour before boarding was set to start. An employee greeting me recommended I use the restroom because the gate was down an elevator and in a portion of the airport that did not have accessible restrooms or food options. She cautioned against returning late later than ten minutes before boarding. I returned about ten minutes before the scheduled boarding, only to be told there would be a delay, which wouldn't be an issue except that it took over an hour and sounded like a standard, foreseeable safety process due to the plane being out of the country prior to our flight. Then we were shuttled to the plane on a frigid bus, which at one point stopped so suddenly several passengers and baggages were sent to the floor. And then, after finally taking off, the in flight wifi did not work. After landing in Portland, there was a 45 minute delay because "a vehicle is parked in our gate." Ultimately, we flew safe and sound, but the discomfort caused by the cold bus transports, poor bus driving, foreseeable delays, and a parked vehicle was really unacceptable. After this experience, it will be hard to choose Alaska Airlines in the future."
Pros: "The flight crew was good, and the flight was quick once we got on the plane - which was 1 hour 45 minutes after we should have!"
Cons: "I got on the second leg of a flight from Seattle to Palm Springs at San Francisco. First, the flight arrived an hour late. Passengers from Seattle said that the loading crew somehow dented the wall to the luggage area (?) and they had to inspect it before flying. When it finally got to SFO, we boarded the plane at first, and then had to deplane back into the airport because they had (over?)filled the wrong fuel tank. So they had to empty that tank and fill another I guess? Don't know if the tank they filled was on the other side of the dented luggage area. The announcements from the desk were puzzling, and tended to be every 10 minutes telling us to wait 10 minutes instead of giving a good estimate so we didn't need to stand at the gate the whole time. After about 50 more minutes we boarded again and the plane took off OK. But there needs to be serious improvement in communication between the crew on the ground (gas & luggage etc) and the pilot and the desk crew, and between all of them and their paying customers."
"Every aspect of my jet blue experience was outstanding. Not only did everything go smoothly, but the jet blue employees went above and beyond to make sure passengers were happy. Jet blue will always be my first choice for airline travel."
"It was super warm in the plane the entire flight."
"The was just Ok but the flight was 2 hours and 44 minutes late in arriving to Phoenix. Thus departure was 11:59pm then pushed to 2:30."
"Flight was delayed AGAIN. Rough landing. Did not seem to have a clue what to do"
"The worst costumer service"
"Lost my luggage for 4 days."
"Ac was way too cold"
Cons: "They were good but not overly service oriented."
Pros: "The crew members were to patience with everyone and making sure everyone have a comfortable flight."
Pros: "Fast check out at Kennedy’s immigration. JetBlue’s traditional friendly approach to flying."
Cons: "AILA continues to be a mess. I don’t blame JetBlue. DR is a hard place for business"
Pros: "Great crew. Quick service."
Cons: "Plane is a bit older with tiny tv screens."
Pros: "Fast easy good space"
Cons: "The flight was an hour delayed due to technical / gas issues"
Pros: "The general experience was mostly the same as usual except for the extremely long delay caused by weather (out of the airline's control)."
Cons: "JetBlue staff at ATL never once updated passengers on the delay. The overhead space filled up too quickly during boarding and I was forced to check carry-on without time to secure or gather my effects. JetBlue baggage claim staff at JFK were then purposefully misleading and evasive."
Cons: "Double verification at JFK due to booking via agent. They stopped the travelers for dou le verification which they have verified all the douments double time"
Cons: "Our flight out of Atlanta was delayed twice, and eventually cancelled due to mechanical problems - this caused us to miss our connecting flight from JFK to TLV. We had to rescheduled our flights (slow and convoluted route): Atlanta, Boston, Newark, Tel Aviv. We are presently in Boston."
Pros: "The landing was excellent. The crew just okay , not warm or serving well."
Cons: "The movie too old movie and the device hard to use e.g. change the movie from channel 1 from first movie to the second movie. The attendant not give my request (water) until I need to walk myself to the back."
Pros: "Pilot was great as were the crew members. Food was fine."
Cons: "Earbud Jack was broken on my seat and the screen in my husband’s seat didn’t work. It was a turbulent flight and it would have been good to have the distraction of the entertainment."
Pros: "I really like that the pilot came out and entrpduced him self. Early do pilots ever do that . he seemed to really enjoy his job and was very appreciative of his flight attendants. The flight was extremely smooth!!! I couldn’t be happier"
Cons: "Had no problems"
Pros: "Amazing flight attendants"
Pros: "Cabin crew were polite and cheerful"
Cons: "Long delay"
Cons: "I really love flying Jet Blue. I don't mean to criticize, the following is written in an effort for improvement: The hour-long delay and the long wait time on the runway. A passenger got up to use the bathroom right before we were going to take off - we had to wait for her. Another passenger pressed the flight attendant call button right after lift-off. All of the food for purchase was sold out by the time it got to the back of the plane. And I could be wrong, but I don't remember going through safety instructions because we were waiting for a while and then had to hurry when we got clearance from air traffic control."
Pros: "The staff was very nice."
Cons: "We wasnt told how to use the tvs and where to put earbuds."
Pros: "We got in ahead of schedule."
Cons: "The staff seemed tired and overworked. I got hit in the head by a flight attendant with the snack tray. An accident but still. Once we landed and we’re at the gate it took almost 40 min to get off the plane. That was ridiculous. Then after the long walk to baggage, luggage was still not there. Again we waited. Too much waiting after a long flight. I fly to NYC all the time and I’m usually in the city one hour after I land and it took 2 hours 15 min to get to Queens. Usually I have great flights with JetBlue. Last night was not the case. You get a C."
Pros: "Extra space seats. The crew. The food. The landing! Pre-board bag check at gate - asking for volunteers."
Cons: "The cabin temp was too cold. The entertainment was awful."
Pros: "The flight crew was very attentive and friendly."
Cons: "Plane needed to be cleaned."
Pros: "This was the most comfortable airplane ride I’ve taken in such a long time. I’m not even sure why I’ve never flown Jet Blue. I wish they went to more places because I’d use them for all these overseas trips I wanna take lol. Snacks, water, television, a smiling seemingly genuinely happy crew. What more could you ask for?"
Pros: "average flight. Friendly crew."
Cons: "There is no online check in! Kayak sells multi-airline flights with airlines from different alliances and that does not allow you to check in online. We got to airport at 3:45 am- no one at the check in counter, employees finally arrived at 4 am, checked in, but then we don’t have seats asssigned! We get to the gate and wait-wait-wait until almost 5am and finally the employees were able to find someone willing to move so that myself and kids don’t get seats in emergency exit row. Nuts. Very unpleasant(not the employees, those were nice-it’s the check in and seat assignment policies)."
Pros: "Well organized"
Cons: "There wasn’t a thing that needed to be fixed. Future airlines."
Pros: "The aircraft was clean and comfortable and everything went official"
Cons: "The film did not work"
Cons: "Notified flight was delayed over 2 hrs.. while at airport outside of screening an announcement that they are boarding our flight.this is an hour plus prior to the time on the board. When I realized that my boarding pass was no longer on my phone I had to go to get a pass. Male/ White older, was totally negative and not helpful except to tell me he could get me out the next day. Other workers picked up the ball and got me a pass and escorted me through tsa... then we sit on the plane for another half hr before leaving. Ridiculous!"
Pros: "The fact that I was informed of the delays and the gate change by way of email."
Cons: "Delay delay delay delay"
Pros: "The crew was professional and did a good job."
Cons: "The plane arrived late from another location. I understand this was probably out of JetBlue’s hands. The plane seemed really dirty. I’m used to flying Delta out of Atlanta so this was my first JB experience. I was really disappointed with the condition and cleanliness of the inside of the plane."
Pros: "The entire experience"
Cons: "Couldn't find any thing to grouch about"
Pros: "Jet Blue was GREAT- as usual. I want you to know that getting through security in ATL airport was an ordeal. Incredibly long lines, disorganized (a sign clearly said, TSA Pre-check- line up here) and then the people managing the lines yelling at us (and this is an observation) because they wanted us lined up further back. This was baffling because the actual line into the TSA space was empty at that point. I think the ATL security staff could all benefit from some further training about to work with people effectively AND ATL airport needs to look at their systems. I know it's a busy airport, but there has to be something better than what they are doing now!"
Pros: "The professional crew"
Pros: "Nothing at all. Worse experience in my life."
Cons: "My flight was delay about 8 times of not more I end up getting to my destinations 5 hours later. It was the worse experiencing of my life I would never ever in my life would flight JetBlue ever again."
Pros: "The flight and crew were totally fine. I slept the whole time."
Cons: "There was not a single JetBlue employee at the Denver airport until exactly 2 hours before the flight. There were many passengers (upwards of 20 and many with small children) waiting around to check their bags and unable to access the food/bathroom/go through security. Everyone was confused and upset. While I understand that there are no flights for several hours prior to the late-night flight I was on, that does not mean that there is no need for an employee presence. Many people arrived multiple hours early because the most common destinations for Denver travelers are the mountain ski towns and the last departures of the shuttles that run from the mountains to the airport leave at 3:00pm. Therefore a large number of passengers arrive by 6:00pm for midnight flights and are left waiting in the check-in area until 10:00pm. The situation was made worse by the poor communication--there were signs saying that checkin was open only from 8:00am-11:00am, which left everyone very confused, given that we were on evening flights. There were many angry people sitting on the floor around the JetBlue counter."
Pros: "Ek 202"
Cons: "The flight was cancelled 4hrs after being boarded at JFK. We understand that such things happen. It’s the situation and handling after was very unprofessional. we were told to collect our bags and go to check in counter and collect our next bookings but instead after collecting check ins we were just given meal ticket and hotel address and given a toll free number to call which is very inappropriate. It should become your responsibility to rebook ya but not leaving it on us to call some number and wait. Though I called and I was told that I was not deboarded to rebook me. For which I tried to go and find an Emirates personnel who refused to talk to the Emirates guy on phone to explain and would just refuse to talk to me. Imagine yourself carrying two check ins and a carry one and running around just to try to get somebody to answer. Mr. Munit on phone was kind enough to be on talk and hold for about 40mins with me. It still ended up unable to book at that time. I was going to India for two day period and my one day had to be spent over in JFK. As humans it’s not the technical difficulty that was an issues it’s the Emirates crews at jfk inability to properly respond and answer arrogantly was the issue. One person instead of answering the questions of an old man was very rude and just blubbered “can’t you just listen to me” that was very inappropriate. It should be her responsibility to listen first. I have always flew Emirates and inflight crew are always very patient and good. This experience makes me think otherwise."
Pros: "Plenty of Leg room and overhead compartments"
Pros: "I like only 1 thing wi - fi is working good."
Cons: "I don’t like anything. It’s a worse airline ever i take I would like to suggest never ever fly with jet blue . I go through so many problems so rude employees working at help desk . Especially steven he said he is supervisor then he says he is only shift leader instead of helping he just talking so mean guy . This is really a big story i try to put in small words ...i fly with them on march 2nd LAX to JFK my finale destination is amritsar in India because of their fault i miss my next flight . The lady help me in morning she is very mean i wanna talk to supervisor she say I’m supervisor but she is only shift leader.i forgot her name . When steven told me he is supervisor i was like"
Cons: "When I scanned my boarding pass the Jetblue staff member told me my carry on was too big and had to be checked. This was puzzling to me because I travel often and do not have a problem with that bag. As I was sitting on the plane I saw everyone's bag's were bigger especially the man next to me. His was significantly larger and he had a large duffle bag between his legs causing him to manspread into my area. and yet i was told "make sure your purse is under the seat" seriously?! What about his giant duffle bag and huge carry on roller?!"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed making it so I and several others had less than 4 minutes to catch our next flight. The flight attendants wouldn’t help us at all. Instead of having us come to the front of the plane to exit first we had to ask the rest of the passengers if they didn’t mind letting us through to catch our flight. I have severe psoriatic arthritis and I had to sprint to my next gate that had been changed making it much farther away from our arrival gate. Now I get to spend my vacation in pain trying to recover."
Pros: "This flight was delayed when we were on the runway due to air traffic control. They estimated it could take an hour or more to take off. I told the flight attendants that I had a connecting flight in NY and they both helped look to see if there was a later flight I could get on, if we didnt make it in time. When they determined my connecting flight was the last one going out of NY that night, I asked if I could possibly de-plane if we were going to take off more than an hour late since I would surely miss my flight and and I would rather go home and sleep in my own bed than get a hotel in NY. They were genuinely and sincerely interested in helping me, so they spoke with the captain and updated the passengers since some other people had the same issue. The capain surprisingly agreed to roll back to the jetway to me off if we were going to be delayed passed the time for connection. Thirty minutes later, we were in the air and I made my connecting flight. The flight attendant even gave me earbuds to watch TV free of charge!!!! What an absolutely amazing flight crew!!!!!"
Pros: "The one thing I liked was the expedited service I got because my brother needed a wheelchair. The comfort of the plane was really nice as well, one of the best flights I had in a while."
Cons: "What I didn’t like was how my flight got cancelled and the only flight I was able to get was 4 days later. So I was stuck in the Dominican Republic for a total of two weeks!! I had to miss another weekend at work which made me lose a lot of money since I’m a barber and lost some one my clientele. On top of my flight being cancelled it also got delayed again but only by 30 minutes so I wasn’t so upset. When it came to the boarding, that had to be the slowest boarding I’ve went through. The gate seemed very behind on the technology and that caused the workers to work even slower. At times they had to step away and go on their monitor to fix something out so it took an extra 30 minutes before I even got into my seat, and I was sitting in row 6 of the plane. Then after everyone was seated the flight got held back an extra half hour because a lady wanted to file a complaint saying that she got pushed and ended up being the only person that got kicked off the flight so she did it all for nothing. So with everything happening, our flight got delayed an hour and a half. Very disappointed.."
Cons: "Let me preface this by saying that prior to this experience I generally though highly of JetBlue. To change my opinion of them, JetBlue had to monumentally screw up, which they did. This was the worst experience I have had on any airline, ever. Why I am mad: - I had a 4.5 hour delay due to maintenance that caused me to miss a flight to India. The 4.5 delay was on a 50 minute flight from Portland, ME to JFK. I nearly could have driven faster than JetBlue got me to New York. - Because of my missed flight to India, I missed day 1 of a two day wedding of which I am a wedding party member - In order to get to India in time for day 2, I had to book a new flight on a different airline for an additional $1000, on top of what I paid for my original flight to India - I was originally told by JetBlue in Portland, ME that they would offer me a reimbursement for the Portland flight, a hotel in NYC, and a travel credit for the trouble. While not totally satisfying since I was still going to miss a day of the wedding, I thought this to be a fair enough offer. - However, at the JetBlue desk in JFK, they completely reversed course. I was told that all they could offer me $100 travel credit. No reimbursement for Portland flight. No compensation for the extra $1,000 flight I had to book. And best of all, no hotel in New York, I was stranded at JFK for the night. I spoke with a supervisor at the desk who repeatadely told me that JetBlue had done their job in getting me to JFK and that they were not responsible for anything after I arrived to JFK. A 4.5 hour delay on a 50 minute flight is bad. Being steadfastly unwilling to compensate for missed flights is worse. And stranding me in JFK after telling me they would offer me a hotel room is just plain unacceptable. My family will be cancelling their JetBlue credit cards and we will look elsewhere for flights in the future."
Pros: "The crew seemed capable and came around a couple times with water. We arrived safe and sound as one would hope for, if an hour or so later than scheduled. Seats seemed roomier than most standard economy/coach (probably due to it being an older model). Though I didn’t partake they seemed to offer more complimentary snack options than other airlines."
Cons: "The airplane cabin had a strong urine odor that endured throughout the red-eye flight, the air temperature had to have been at least 75 degrees, probably 80 which was a bit stifling. No usb/power at the seat which would be preferable/should be standard by now for a coast-to-coast flight. Seat didn’t recline which isn’t the end of the world but a bit of a bummer. My headphones didn’t work with the little screen at my seat but it’s ok because based on my neighbor’s screen it was just a rotating lineup of Jet Blue commercials/fake tv shows that I can easily pass on."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by 1hour and 40 min. One hour at the boarding gate and 40min on the airstrip. Pilot said we were overweight. When we landed at 730 vs 557 we still had a delay because our gate was occupied causing a greater dalay. Due ro this delay I was late to work. The flight attendee making the announcements might have been new because she kept messing up what she was saying and shouting and mumbling through the speaker. I usually have amazing flights with jetblue but I'm highly disappointed with this flight."
Cons: "I had been in the airport since 1130 am, trying to get on an earlier flight. My original flight was scheduled to leave 540 am the following day (the day Irma was supposed to hit). At first waited 30 mins in a line to speak to a JetBlue agent about finding another flight. She said she couldn't help me, no flights available, and didn't have the patience to take some time to explore all options. I then proceeded to look online and then call JetBlue, after 30 mins on hold I finally got someone. She actually helped me and looked at all flight options and got me on a flight to CT (2 hrs away from me) leaving that same evening. I ended up waiting in the airport for 10 hrs. At one point in the evening the gate attendant began giving out packed snacks and beverages to passengers waiting for another flight that had been delayed, but refused to give out anything to other passengers waiting for delayed flights....not even water! I was shocked at how callously the gate attendant turned me and other passengers away. I had been in the airport for 10 hrs! Thr flight I was scheduled on was delayed by about 3 hrs leaving PR to NYC, but I was told the snacks we're only for passengers who had been waiting at least 3 hrs. I was turned down 3 times, and watched as other passengers just grabbed water and canned beverages without even asking and without being turned down. At the time that I asked for the last time my flight was delayed by 2.5 hrs already. I had a headache, needed water to take medication, hadnt eaten dinner, and all the restaurants in the airport were starting to close. I ended up spending close to $20 on the last Domino's small cheese pizza, a bottle of water and a snack bar....because JetBlue was being stingy. And yet, this is the same airline that let's passengers grab as many snacks as they want on the flight, delayed or not. My flight was scheduled for 807pm. We left at around 1106 pm. Thanks, JetBlue. Way to go on that customer service."
Cons: "I was really surprised that economy seats were not blocked off for COVID. They are tight enough as it is and I used SkyMiles to upgrade my seat and sat in a seat that was no different from economy and sat next to someone as well."
Cons: "No social distancing at all while boarding and exiting the plane you must keeplpeople in their seats !!! I love your airline although I usually just pick the best deal but it’s always a pleasure when that option is also delta"
Pros: "The flight was on time"
Cons: "too crowded"
Pros: "The crew did a mediocre job of keeping us informed as to the delay of takeoff."
Cons: "There was some type of mechanical or electric issue that delayed our flight by 30 minutes or so, which is unwelcome for a flight that late at night."
Pros: "Clean, comfortable, empty middle seats. Good movie selection."
Cons: "Snacks lacked variety and nutritional value."
Pros: "The sanitizing of the aircraft was beyond expectations. The personal wipes were a plus so we could clean the areas around our seats to our satisfaction. The individual snack bags are a great idea to minimize handling."
Pros: "Flight was smooth and amazing"
Cons: "My sister’s checked in luggage was in poor shape when we got it in Albany. We noticed an outside compartment was unzipped. So we checked to see if anything was missing and a souvenir from Mexico was gone. Then we realized a zipper was missing from the luggage and then decided to check all the other compartments and realized her bag of jewelry was gone. The woman at baggage services in Albany told us Delta is not responsible for lost belongings. Also tried to tell us theft is not an issue because there are cameras everywhere. Well you are telling someone that is missing a bag of jewelry that theft is not a problem. Also, there may be cameras everywhere but I doubt anyone is going to review those cameras to see what happened. I will never fly Delta again."
Cons: "I dont know WHY Delta changed my flight with ALIITALIA, but, DON'T DO IT DELTA. The check in process took an hour, not talking about the line, the ACTUAL checkin at the counter. I couldn't complete my web checkin at the AliItalia web site. Landed in JFK, still sucks as an airport, nobody helps, nobody explains anything, very poor signs and instructions, Global Entry kiosk are hard to spot. My connection ticket didn't have the TSA/PRECHECK legend, went to AliItalia counter, the lady at AliItalia barely said anything when I asked for help with that, her immediate answer was to disengage and sent me to another terminal "to talk to Delta". She didn't explain or didn't want to give an explanation until I started to act as an already 9hr30min flight frustrated customer in a very old, very poor plane with poor food service. Again, I bought an over $1,000 ticket with DELTA, NOT ALIITALIA, if Delta send people with their "partners" at least make sure that they are taken care of properly."
Pros: "48 hours travel from Europe Thanks to sucky Delta airlines that are absolutely the most horrible company Never ever again"
Pros: "Crew was gr8, seats comfy and space between seats was great, great space for legs"
Cons: "The quality of the forks and knife, I had meat for dinner and the fork broke two times. Coffee needs to be a little more stronger. Keep it up!"
Pros: "It was delayed"
Cons: "Better seats"
Pros: "Like the “lanes” for boarding; however, there was no announcement so some people did not know and did not line up and just cut in between those who had. Biscoff cookies are always appreciated."
Cons: "The WiFi was very cumbersome to use, despite the instructions. The monitors had a marked delay when touched, making the entertainment a challenge to use."
Cons: "Flying from New York to Atlanta on business class there was no access to the lounge because I was not flying to Lima on the same day. I bought the whole international business ticket to Peru together, I don't understand why Delta consider my first portion not part of my international ticket!"
Pros: "Friendly and cheerful!"
Pros: "Food was decent and crew were nice enough"
Cons: "Seat space was small and cramped. Entertainment was poor unfortunately"
Cons: "we began the boarding process late, which can be understandable, although the plane was there pretty early. Once the boarding began, someone, I presume the gate agent, essentially gave a countdown to hhow many minutes were left until the flight could have an "on time departure". I travel nearly every week so I value being on time. However, a minute by minute call to hurry up on a flight that was sold out was over the top. There was mumbling among the passengers, to the point of someone joking "Free cookies and water if we make it on time?" Just a bad gate experience, but bad enough that peopoe were commenting, and I waited for someone from the cockpit to del\part so I could mention it to them."
Cons: "We shared beverages The bathroom was barely big enough for a small person There isn’t enough room per passenger seat"
Pros: "good flight and pleasant staff"
Cons: "no vegetarian option in business class therefore nothing to eat for me for whole flight. also sky lounge very poor"
Pros: "I like that I was able to request a window seat and was obliged to get another one."
Cons: "My flight was cancelled and I had anxiety about being at my destinations on time because I had to travel another hour away without knowing if my ride would be able to wait for me. However, I was booked on another plane that wasn't damaged which got me there on time, but once I arrived my luggage was no where to be found. I was promised my luggage on the same day,but I didn't get it until 11:30pm that night from a 2:40pm flight. I had to go out and spend money on toiletries, night wear and my medicine because of not having my luggage. Just totally disgusted by the overall experience and wouldn't wish it on anyone."
Cons: "We landed hours late and sat on runway for 1 hour. On top of that this plane was our 3rd equipment change."
Pros: "Efficient boarding"
Pros: "Beautiful new plane with large overhead storage, comforable seats and moveable aisle armrest."
Pros: "Nice equipment for the ride and pleasant staff"
Pros: "Wi-Fi on the plane is a nice touch."
Cons: "The seats are packed so tight there's almost no leg room - actually there is no leg room when the person in front of me reclined their seat. Since we were advised to get there 3 hours in advance only to wait two and a half hours in what is quite possibly the most uncomfortable waiting room anywhere this just makes the cramped plane even more frustrating."
Pros: "I flew on a basic economy fare (I understand the restrictions) and was seated in Economy Comfort +, so that was appreciated."
Cons: "I could see on the Fly Delta app that I had been placed in seat 10B, but neither the app nor my boarding pass gave me a group to board with, so I assumed that I needed to board with group 3, which necessitated gate-checking my rollerboard bag. Only when I approached the gate to board did I notice on the info screen that I had been "upgraded" to Comfort + and granted boarding with the Sky Priority group. I wish this had been clearer so I could have avoided waiting to board and gate-checking my bag. Minor inconvenience but room for improvement on Delta's part."
Pros: "The crew went out of their way to make sure they got the plane ready as quickly as possible and get us to Jacksonville as quickly as possible."
Cons: "Delta lost the plane for over an hour. After already spending 10 hours in ATL because of an earlier delay due to human error I was extremely disappointed in Delta that my flight out of Atlanta was delayed by an hour because they LOST the plane and couldn’t find it or the truck to bring it to the gate. This kind of error on Xmas eve is embarrassing. Delta didn’t do anything for the passengers affected by this. I was dumbstruck by the apathy of the Delta employees at the gate (the exception was the flight crew, who tried to get the aircraft there earlier). Because Delta did nothing but make error after error I arrived at home 11 hours later than my original flight was booked for on Christmas Eve, missing Christmas Eve Services and family traditions. When I need to get somewhere on time I’ll never rely on Delta after this experience."
Pros: "Quick and easy boarding. Quick flight"
Cons: "Audio entertainment quite limited"
Cons: "I has nothing to do with the flight it self! The original fight was cancelled from Minneapolis to Atlanta (with no notice) I found this out by calling!! I was told a confirmation of a new flight was going to be email once the request from the support had been approved (the email confirmation was never received). I was also instructed multiple times to not show at the airport unless I had receive the confirmation. I was up most of the night waiting for this confirmation that never came!! I received an email this morning letting me know the fight from ALT to Mexico had been delay!! When I opened it to view the itinerary it showed she had been booked for the am fight at 6:30 am! after spending another hour and 35 minutes on the phone your support team could not find a fight until Dec.21!! Not to mention the accepted they had problems with their email system and phones, but asked why didn't I called, mmm I was on the phone for the 3rd time!!!! I am very, very disappointed!! Not a discount was offer or a fight the next day even when I was checking an flights were available!!! Here is the other part,,Rosa came all the way from Mexico to care for her ill sister for the last 2 1/2 months, all she asked was to be able to be back home for the holidays!! Your team insisted on scheduling a flight for next week or a full refund!! This was not a money matter!! It's about getting some one home for the Holidays who has helped a ill person during the most vulnerable time in her life!!"
Pros: "Staff were friendly and worked hard."
Cons: "Seats were very basic and not as good as the low cost carrier I normally fly out of the UK. Very old and noisy aircraft. Seemed little control over how much hand luggage passengers were bringing onto the aircraft."
Pros: "Free WiFi"
Pros: "More seat room than expected for economy tickets. Good service, on time, polite staff"
Cons: "Duty free purchases not waiting for us at boarding like usual. Audio selection on entertainment was v poor"
Pros: "The Delta people were solicitous, efficient and brilliant the whole way through. We had not a bit of trouble. Our first class seats were comfortable, but with the supplied blanket, pillow and poor air conditioning it was a hot flight. The cabin personnel were wonderful as per usual, and my tasty gin and tonic soothed any discontent. I wish I could fly this way all the time!"
Cons: "The private contractor handling wheelchair assistance was terrible. A Delta employee theorized that they do not pay enough to attract and retain personnel. Our pre-arranged chair was not there, multiple calls by our Delta assistant finally got us a ride to the chair holding area, but after about 45 minutes we gave up and shuffled off to the security area on foot. Thank goodness my hubby is mobile enough for that to have been an option. When we abandoned our wait we were still 4th in line for an attendant to push the chair. If Delta has any responsibility in this it would be in the retention and compensation for the private contractor."
Cons: "As a Platinum AFK/KLM Skyteam member I was NOT allowed to use the Delta Lounge. On the flight the meal choice was poor and the staff were not really geared to serving regular clients. The movie choice was poor. I expected better!"
Cons: "My flight got cancelled without letting me know in advance I was in the airport and spent me hours to switch a flight I ended up arriving at a different airport and need to spend more money for über"
Cons: "Plane was supposed to depart at 9:09pm. An announcement was made that in Atlanta which is Delta hub, there were no flight attendants for the flight so we had to wait for another crew to fly in. That's just unporfessiknal. To make matters worse, the gate agents didn't make announcements even if just to say we know this isn't good and we will update you asap even if just to tell you we are still waiting on word. Total silence and seeing the gate agents laugh and talk amongst each other was pretty bad."
Pros: "Delta service and conford are great."
Cons: "Pay for wifi"
Cons: "I understand delays happen, but Delta delayed the flight significantly and only informed customers around the time they had arrived at the airport - especially for an early morning flight, where you are counting on being able to sleep on the plane ASAP, that is absolute hell. If they had messaged even 30 mins earlier, we could have rescheduled our cab and slept at the hotel given we were on 2 hours sleep. We received the text 3 minutes before we arrived at the airport and tried to sleep on benches as the front desk kept delaying the boarding time by 20 minutes 4 times, each time exactly at the previously extended ETD, which is far more frustrating than if they had just extended it once by 80 minutes so we could legitimately relax."
Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."
Cons: "Sat in Delta Comfort and a loyal Delta flier, except had the bad fortune of taking off at 830 ATL time and apparently Delta doesn't find it important or a good idea to sell food after that time. The logic behind this is beyond me. I'm willing to pay $9 for a few cheese slice and crackers or a sandwich yet they don't offer anything, not even to first class which would really irritate me had I paid 1000 bucks. Ontop of that the crew which is normally excellent, was feisty and rude and wanted nothing to do with their job"
Pros: "Very friendly crew - clear communication & updates regarding delays."
Cons: "No tv, which is okay, but if you offer wifi to watch movies/shows on your phone, really need outlets to charge the phone! Or at least a few radio station to plug headphones into."
Pros: "Clean plane, good service. on time departure, early arrival."
Cons: "I did not like the way the plane was boarded- people could not get into their seats because others blocked the aisles - so chaotic. Passengers were not being rude to one another, it was simply that the process is poor. Could the zones instead reflect both location of seat and area of plane, so that those with window seats at the back board first, then middle seats, then aisle? That way if aisle seats fill first, seated people are not stepping back into the aisle to accommodate others needing to get a seat in that row, while everyone on the gang way must wait for the aisle to clear."
Pros: "don't know it's first flight delta's fault or next flight china southern's,arrive 3 days, but still couldn't find our two bags"
Pros: "Flight late 46 minutes, they forgot I asked for a vegetarian meal, my business class round ticket to Peru did not gave me acceds"
Pros: "Good movies"
Cons: "Unsmiling, miserable staff. Seats like concrete. Cheap and nasty snacks"
Pros: "Nothing to like -- didn't fly"
Cons: "Delta delayed my flight so long that I'm now traveling another day."
Pros: "Length of flight was good, one of the flight attendants was very nice"
Cons: "Flight attendant arguing and having words with a passenger BEFORE the flight even took off was very alarming, the attendant had walked past the seat, we saw her face change, she halted and walked back to the passenger and a very heated and negative exchange ensued, then another flight attendant came out and threatened to evict the passenger from the flight, this was before the flight even took place .... all passengers were like just remove them already ... t his is a short flight and most of use were connecting from a long flight from overseas ...."
Cons: "Delta Flight #1494 On my return flight, I had to pay for a 2nd ticket to fly out early since Delta was cancelling flights to the south and I didn’t want to get stuck in Philadelphia. When the plane arrived for a layover in Atlanta, there was a flight going on from the first 2 people waiting to deplane. In my distraction and fear, I left my water bottle next to my seat. When I realized that I had left it, I went back to the gate and told the gate attendant that my bottle was next to my seat. She would not call down to the plane, nor walk down, and told me I had to wait until the entire flight had boarded. I explained that my connecting flight was boarding across the airport. The bottle was expensive and had great sentimental value. A couple times, I tried to ask people boarding the flight if they would tell a flight attendant to retrieve my bottle. The gate attendant told the boarding passenger to ignore me. When the flight had completely boarded, the gate attendant went down to the plane only to return to me to tell me that the flight attendant(s) allowed the cleaning crew to take the bottle. The gate attendant called the cleaning service and then she told me that the bottle was waiting at the tower and that I could ask at my next gate to have the bottle delivered to that gate. Since my connecting flight had already started boarding I had to run/train it across the airport to arrive at the gate. When I told the 2nd gate attendant, the story and asked him to call the tower to get my bottle, he told me that “wasn’t a thing” and that the 1st gate attendant lied to me. I had to board since they were getting ready to close the plane. This incident was compounded to many unpleasant experiences I’ve had with Delta over the past few years (losing my luggage and lying about it, damaging my suitcase, etc., etc.). I don’t understand how you can continue to be successful as an airline when you run your operation the way Delta does."
"Flight attendant in Saga class was outstanding!! Could be more current entertainment choices...and wish they had a better business class seat."
Pros: "Flight was relatively empty. Professional crew, comfortable seats"
Cons: "I think they skipped me with food service. Checking up on passengers who may have been sleeping would be nice. Headphones need to be purchased. Limited entertainment options."
Pros: "Good selection of entertainment and food was good"
Cons: "Plane was late. Boarding was confused (they announced and sent a test of a gate change but then had some of us board from the original gate. There was a lengthy delay after boarding. We sat on tarmac for 1/2 hour or more. People stressed due to short connection times in Iceland. Pilot made up most of the time by going faster so that was nice. But chaotic and running thru terminal and then customs in order to make it to connecting flight, Were put on a bus (about 30 people) to the plane which had already pulled away and was on tarmac."
Pros: "Flight was delayed for an hour but considering the day before when all flights were cancelled and that whole morning flights were delayed at Reykjavík due to a major storm off the Irish coast the airport check in, security, and boarding went extremely well. Staff on board couldn’t have been more helpful and efficient to get the plane pushed back from the gate and get our flight going."
Cons: "The plane’s temperature was a little warm on both flights from New York and Iceland with no means to adjust fans or temperature at your seat like most airlines. The entertainment screen was down for about half of our flight back for both of us to New York but worked fine after."
Cons: "More choices in the meals for purchase"
Pros: "The connexion flight: only 15 minutes to reach the plane. I didn't think I could get it. But all the crew at the airport and on the lane were very professional."
Cons: "The security system needs big up grade we left 40 minutes late due to it"
Pros: "Nice and helpful crew"
Cons: "Seats were very cramped. When I tilted my chair back to sleep, the people behind me went ballistic"
Pros: "The crew was nice On time Clean flight"
Cons: "The food was cold Nothing else....the flight was great"
Pros: "The crew was great. The flight was smooth and we left and arrived on time. Nothing went awry."
Cons: "There is a weird place where you have to stand + wait to board in a crowded area--maybe this was specific to gate D23 or maybe it's how Keflavik Airport is in general? The seat was also too narrow for me. I was disappointed that none of the Icelandic media options included English subtitles."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "one of the passenger's on our reservation was removed, flight changed to a different airline & unable to access reservation to review why passenger was removed. left stranded in Paris airport unless we paid $5200 for a new ticket. Also, airline tried to force us to pay for luggage twice. DISASTER"
Pros: "Return flight was comfortable"
Cons: "Flight to Iceland was uncomfortable, cramped, and unfriendly crew"
Pros: "Crew was good."
Cons: "Didn’t get the seats we paid for. We should have been in row 3 but ended up in row 30."
Pros: "Flight was late"
Cons: "My flight was cancelled and I received an email about that after I stood in line and got put on an Air France flight direct to Chicago. I don’t know yet if I was refunded the upgrade I paid for on my connection flight to Chicago from Iceland."
Pros: "When I booked my Economy Light fare from Denver to Paris for $325, I was expecting a trying experience. But to the contrary, I found the entire trip enjoyable. I found the boarding quick and efficient, plus the flight attendants were genuinely friendly and helpful. Connecting in KEF was a delight."
Cons: "Short answer: "Nothing". I've travelled extensively around the world and Icelandair is now my favourite low-cost airline. Takk Icelandair."
Pros: "It was cheap & they get there fast."
Cons: "Where do I begin? First they gave me a dirty blanket to use. Next they do not give you any snacks. That might sound trivial but on an 8 hour flight every other airline I’ve ever flown with has offered their passengers SOMETHING. You do have the option of purchasing food but it’s expensive & it wouldn’t feed a preschooler. The crew...honestly they’re just not pleasant to talk to. I put on my call light to ask about purchasing (which means I’m spending money) ear buds & she made me wait another hour & a half. Not one single passenger I spoke to had anything nice to say about Iceland Air."
Pros: "Crew seemed okay comparatively to other airlines/crews."
Cons: "airport delays up to 2 hours, not knowing which gate and changing it all the time in Reykjavik, seating was hyper cramped, no food to compensate for the extra long trip, my carry on was taken from me even though it easily fit in overhead (it's a legal size duffel bag). I was exhausted after spending well over 14 hours in airports and 2 planes from Paris to DC."
Pros: "The plane was nice and I truly loved the movies offered on board."
Cons: "I wasn’t aware of the fact you need to order your food prior to departure to get it on board."
Pros: "We arrived safely"
Cons: "Plan to pay extra for limited food service, baggage, and transportation to and from the city. I spent an extra 176 Euro for two non oversized bags, Not a lot of options for gluten-free choices."
Cons: "Not iceland air fault but waited over an hour after we landed to get into a gate. Then waited another 30 minutes after customs until luggage arrived. Seats go too far back. The guy in front of me was siting in my lap. Also the flight status boards in Reykjavik were not well designed. I've never seen so many people panicking and running to flights in my life. i was in the terminal for 3 hours on a layover and watched about 10% of the people freaking out. 99% of the time it was over nothing."
Pros: "Loved the personalized tv in front of me and plenty of space above me in the middle seats!"
Cons: "There were no snacks"
Pros: "The beet salad and the bouillabaisse were both excellent. The flight attendants were attentive and helpful. Wide selection of entertainment choices."
Cons: "Our connection from Zurich arrived as boarding had begun in Reykjavik. When we arrived at the gate, it looked like business class had already been called, so there was HUGE mob gathered about the gate including small children. An employee worked her way through the crowd randomly checking passports and marking boarding passes. Eventually we made it onto the shuttle which drove us out to the plane. I wouldn't like to fly Icelandair overnight because I wouldn't be able to sleep at all in the business class seats since they don't recline that much."
Cons: "Food options"
Pros: "Hard to say what I liked as my experience was soured right from the onset"
Cons: "I was surprised by being charged almost $100 to check in my luggage, and over $100 on my return leg. (Yes! I could have looked at their baggage policy, but there was no glaring notification alerting me to this fact when I purchased the ticket, nor when I was checking in online) Then, I was further surprised that you had to pay for food on board. This was a first. I mean, on an international long distance flight? Everything became mediocre after these, and I mentally swore off flying this airline ever again."
Cons: "Both flights were delayed. Paris to Iceland and Iceland to Dulles. The Paris to Reykavitch was delayed ...somehow when I arrived at CGD I was told I was on standby. I bought the flight through your site in October!....so obviously the cheaper tickets get bumped off first. I got on the flight anyway. As the plane was taking off I got the right for a "shower" 8E or F....water was dripping down into the seat. I made the stewardess aware of it bc I was not sure whether this was the beginning of a downpour or just a consistant drip....She told me she got a couple of drips too. My response to her was wait a minute you are working, I paid 300+ for this seat. She shrugged. When she came around with her cart she offered me two chocolate bars? In reykavitch we sat on the tarmack waiting for passengers delayed from Berlin. They could have delayed boarding a little more since the flight was delayed anyway."
Pros: "On time, comfortable, smooth and easy flights"
Cons: "Everything was fine no complaints"
Cons: "They charge for everything including headphones, food, surprised they gave water for free."
Pros: "Everything that was under Icelandair's control went great! Got an unexpected upgrade on both legs of my flight, the cabin was comfortable, and it had a good selection in-flight entertainment for a budget airline."
Cons: "No food is served--be sure to pack a snack. If you're planning to eat in Reykjavik, bear in mind that airport food is especially expensive in Iceland."
Cons: "It's in my opinion obscene not to provide any type of food on a 6-hour flight that you don't have to pay for"
Pros: "Nice entertainment options for each passenger (movies, tv shows etc)."
Cons: "To start off the airline told us our standard carry on did not fit the cabins despite the luggage being a standard carry on per other airline carriers. The planes were packed full and middle seats had no leg room or spaces to store back packs. The temperature control was off. It was 84 F and the air vents were blowing out at least 85 F for the first 2 hours. On the whole I would not recommend flying this airline, you get what you pay for with this and comfort on long flights is a must."
Pros: "Bird struck plane that we were about to board; maintenance crew thankfully determined to switch planes even though it would cause delays. Rather be safe than sorry!"
Cons: "Our checked bag never showed up at customs bag claim in NYC. To date (5 days after we arrived back home) the airlines still cannot locate our lost bag. In fact, our baggage tracking # was never registered under our names at check-in!!! Our delayed flight from Reykjavik caused us to miss our connecting flight back home, which the airline booked us in a hotel, but booked us in a hotel near LaGuardia even though flew into JFK. We never received our vouchers and were given verbal instruction. We had to arrange transportation ourselves to seek reimbursement later on, learning this after going from terminal to shuttle area, back to terminal after waiting for the shuttle that never arrived. Rooms weren't ready when we showed up at hotel at MIDNIGHT. Next day, domestic tickets could not be issued for our connecting flight, causing us to have to shuffle from terminal to terminal to resolve the ticketing issue with Iceland Air. Total nightmare of a trip."
Pros: "I love being able to get in and out of security much easier than other airlines. Love Iceland air. Just need to be prepared to bring food to eat"
Cons: "The boarding area was too crowded, as it was full of passengers waiting for another flight that left from the same gate a few minutes before the flight to NYC. This was the first time I experienced a transatlantic flight where no food was included with the ticket. Annoying that they kept interrupting the films to make announcements, first in Icelandic, then in English, of things I didn't care to know."
Pros: "My icelandair experiences have all been exceptional. The crew is friendly and efficient, announcements were not disruptive and were informative appropriately, and on Easter they handed out chocolate Icelandic Easter eggs which I thought was a nice touch on a holiday."
Cons: "I have a lower ratings for food because I think that on a long international flight there should be something complementary as opposed to everything being purchased. That being said, I still have it four stars because the flights are inexpensive in comparison to other companies and I can understand that perhaps it is a cost cutting measure--in which case I am glad for it."
Pros: "Short transit. Although the first leg of my flight was delayed by more than 1h 30 minutes, they arranged for quick transfers at Reykjavik airport and we arrived almost on time at final destination."
Cons: "No free food is served on board so make sure to bring your own food or be prepared to buy your meal on board (they don't accept cash, only bank/credit cards)."
Pros: "Very small seats and NO snacks or meals were given - unheard of for an international flight"
Pros: "A little more room than standard economy long-haul flights. Entertainment available on all seatbacks. Very friendly flight crew."
Cons: "Wished for free wine but oh well. My seat back screen had to be reset but that was about it."
Pros: "Staff was nice"
Cons: "Flight was late because of changing winds"
Pros: "I liked the selection of movies, food and drinks, it is mid-November, but the featured Christmas platter and beer Jöla was a perfect ending to a lovely vacation. Food and drinks are for purchase of course, but a reasonable amount for the quality and quantity. Flight was inexpensive, but comfortable for the six-hour flight. I did not have to pay for the 3 movies I watched. Plenty of free juice, water, soft drinks, hot tea and coffee. Not to mention that Keflavik airport has lots of good foods and drinks, all tax-free. Definitely flying with Icelandair again, especially when you have 2 free checked bags and 1 carry-on bag, plus personal bag for my precious camera and tripod during a winter vacation, is absolutely essential!"
Cons: "Minimal leg room"
Pros: "cost of tickets"
Cons: "smmmmalllll everything, can barely eat the costly snacks, Reykjavik airport under construction, never heard the flight announcements, plane from Paris was delayed and plane to Washington was at final call when we arrived to connect. NO time to go to the restroom or buy a snack in the airport"
Pros: "Ticket price"
Cons: "Terrible delay and food services"
Pros: "Flight was on time"
Cons: "The check-in was a nightmare. The line was clustered around one entrance point. Although I checked in on line the sign to check bags was obscured by the crowd. There were no employees to facilitate the check-in. Although the price of the flight was attractive I am doubtful that I would book Icelandair again."
Cons: "I paid a lit of money for the flight from JFK and there was no food on the plane."
Pros: "The crew, flight, food and entertainment were great."
Cons: "The boarding process was an absolute mess. It's like the ground crew forgot there was a flight or something. I don't know if it was the fault of the airport (CDG) or what but Iceland air didn't have an actual check in desk and they didn't have any roped lines and it opened 30 minutes late. There were 260ish people with all their luggage creating a makeshift line that stretched into the next hall It blocked Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines (both were checking in their own flights) and a major passageway through the terminal. I don't know how hard it is to set up a monitor with a screensaver that says "IcelandAir" and cordon off some rope lines, but apparently it's pretty hard at CDG."
Cons: "Seat 8G does not have a window."
Pros: "Terribly long wait at keflavik airport to go thru customs but smooth flight."
"Flight missed due to a late international connection Took 6 agents to finally rebook me"
"Unsafe. Many people not keeping masks on. Crew unresponsive."
"British airways sucks"
"You should have said that I'm flying Americans airlines instead of British airways,it could save me a lot of nurves"
Pros: "it was a good flight within airline standards"
Cons: "I really did not find anything to improve, it was a pleasant flight"
Pros: "Amazing crew"
Cons: "They broke my guitar"
Pros: "The sit"
Pros: "The seat was comfortable when it came leg room"
Cons: "Gate agent refused to let me carry on a suitcase that I have carried on dozens of flights (this specific suitcase) and I understand overhead limitations (I have more than 4 million air miles just between United and American Airlines). This was an A320 and I was about #10 getting on the flight. Space was not an issue. This added an hour to a 25 hour day to wait for luggage at LAX. And BA gives the agents an edge in that their test fixture has rounded corners to that a 22 inch suitcase that has hard square edges at the bottom (or wheels that make it square) won't fit in it. So the agent just points that it doesn't fit and you have to check. I was not happy from Paris to London."
Pros: "British Air reps took us through security and to the gate for boarding which was most appreciated after our check-in. Once on the plane the flight was great and the crew helpful. I wheel chair was waiting for us when we landed in London."
Cons: "We were told to check in at terminal 2A to British Air for our flight. BA was on the lower floor almost in terminal 2B and there were no signs indicating where we were to find their check-in. When we checked in they initially had no record of our continuing flight on Virgin Atlantic to the US. They checked our bags through to the US but could not give us boarding cards for the 2nd leg of our flight on Virgin."
Pros: "the plane landed safely"
Cons: "a lot of confusion between in flight staff and ground staff as to where to go and what to do concerning transfers to ongoing flights, security, tight layover etc It was like it was everyones first day on the job."
Pros: "Price was goo £200 cheaper than the BA price"
Cons: "Cabin very cold over the whole journey at the end of the day you pay peanuts get monkeys But BA has a very tired fleet compared to say Emerites"
Pros: "Not much. Eventually got to where we were going."
Cons: "I can't remember a more cramped and uncomfortable flight. Missed connection on way Paris and we arrived 6 hours late. It took British airways 3 days to get our lost luggage to us. Delayed on way back, adding 4 hours to our trip because the first plane was not "serviceable" and they had to get a replacement. They arbitrarily decide who has to much carry on luggage and force you to check it last minute at the gate while letting others with same size bags take them on the plane. Certainly no better than bargain flights and possibly worse. Why pay extra? No more British Airways for us."
Pros: "Smooth flight."
Cons: "Uncomfortable seats"
Pros: "The food and the services. The plane looks new and clean. Many new release movies."
Cons: "seat space is too small and not comfort."
Pros: "Great crew. Smooth flight. Excellent timing."
Cons: "It’s been a while since I’ve seen a load out that old on BA. Almost 1st gen personal IFE. The plan as a whole was fikthy"
Pros: "Overall flight experience was average. Crew was friendly."
Cons: "American Airlines always use those old Boeings for flights between Paris and the US. They look so old inside. No modern entertainment. They still have those small screens on the ceiling. No individual entertainment stations. And seats are not comfortable."
Pros: "Your teammates, Fatou and Sarah at the check in desk in charles de gaulle made our lives doo easy after a stressful and ling journey. Their kind service and forethought helped us a lot."
Cons: "BA's poor customer service team who don't explain extra baagge charges correctly and don't have the decency to say they were in the wrong for not dealing with my issue correctly ans giving the run around"
Pros: "Not much to say about this. Really the experience was not so good and I think the only good thing to say is that their planes still work."
Cons: "First they they over sold the flight and as we had our previous flight delayed they didn't allow us to cross the gates as they said we couldn't make it on time rather than telling us the truth. The staff didn't do anything to help us to catch the flight and insisted in putting us on the next flight. Thankfully I noticed that the flight was delayed and I crossed the gates despite that the staff didn't want us to do it. Once in the plane, the flight entertainment was poor, didn't work and staff said it was too busy to help us out in putting our stuff on the overhead compartment or even giving us the beer we wanted despite having our choice In front of us."
Pros: "It flies"
Cons: "No courtesy! At least soft drinks ought to be on the house - they even charge for water - disgusting compared to US airless that at least offer you nuts and a drink for free! BA is now in the EasyJet-RyanAir league! Awful!"
Cons: "The chair in front of mine was broken or worn out so that it declined alarmingly far. It felt like the gentleman in front me had his head in my lap. My tray table was also broken so that it listed dangerously and I had to prop it on my arm rest."
Cons: "No electric outlet to charge phone or internet."
Cons: "The British airline flight was operated by american airline and someone who handled her bag stole everything. We purchased prior to the flight. 2 pairs of sneakers a gift spoon for our grandson and other items not mentioned. Then they put her bag on another flight which made her wait for 1.5 hours in Madrid for her bag. Your handlers ruined our trip. How can you allow thieves to do this especially with TSA supposedly there monitoring it? I want a claim form sent to me ASAP so I can recover my goods. A notice was not placed inside, stating it was checked."
Pros: "Arrived early, earned oneworld status points."
Cons: "BA are a budget airline charging premium prices."
Pros: "That the flight was not bumpy and due to bad entertainment I had good views out the window"
Cons: "Tight seating, old airplane, a bit dirty, most info was in Spanish!? Could not hear overhead announcements,"
Pros: "My eight year old grandson was tired and felt sick. The airline crew was sympathetic and very helpful in trying to help him and the rest of the family cope. They were responsive to every request and even made an extra seat available for him near the restroom."
Cons: "The seats are way too small. Very uncomfortable. Why make the seats recline when there is no room behind them? When the person in front of me reclined his seat my tray wouldn't even unfold."
Cons: "Our flights were sold as British airways but operated by American Airlines. Yes, we flew economy and we were expecting small seats, but these seats felt extremely small. They pack so many seats into the space that there is no comfort at all in flying. It was a complete let down. Food was an improvement from our flight from LAX To CDG, but if was only mediocre at best. I really expected this flight to be better than those I've taken with Vueling, Iberia and Virgin but it was terribly disappointing. I would think twice before purchasing a ticket with this airline again."
Pros: "This flight was what you should expect - smooth boarding, helpful and friendly crew, good food and drinks service etc."
Cons: "The wash bag is now so limited- the bare minimum (and that's in business class!). No comb even. No face wipe either. It's an obvious thing to economise on from the airline's point of view, but it doesn't really have to cost them anything. And the choice of new films was somewhat disappointing - they are relying quite a lot on older films. and no duty free at all (the crew were apparently not given the correct paperwork to allow sales). This was disappointing as I had been hoping to pick up a dual SIM gadget. None of these minus points are major, but they detracted from my enjoyment of the flight"
Pros: "We had ONE customer service rep in Heathrow who was incredibly helpful and tried to help get us home. She was wonderful."
Cons: "Their delayed flight from Milan to London caused us to miss our flight from London to NY, and thus our flight from NY to Denver, which was standby. When we explained how difficult it would be to catch another flight to Denver from NY with it being the weekend, and attempting to get a flight to another airport with higher chances of getting us home, their customer service rep informed us that as long as they 'fulfilled their contract' to get us to NY, it wasn't really their problem how we got home (or couldn't get home) after that."
Pros: "Overall quick, easy and event free...just as flights should be."
Cons: "Plane got a little hot sitting at the gate and our seats were the only ones that didn't have air vents."
Pros: "That I was in shape to run from one terminal to another to catch the flight"
Cons: "The transfer flight was a disaster - see above. We dragged a car seat to the plane and dropped it off before we boarded. Upon landing, there was no car seat to be found. We were told to go to baggage as it would be there. We waited for over an hour for it to come through and it never did. Again no ground staff available to assist. Airport security advised to go BA office. They located the car seat in London. It never made the flight?! We arrived Wed and the car seat wasn't delivered until Friday. Again, no contact from anyone. I received a call from the courier when I was out. Overall, atrocious customer service from BA"
Cons: "Boarding queue should be clearly marked. Seating needs work. It is ok when person in front of you is not reclined but too close if a petson is the least claustrophobic . I was fortunate that seat next to me was vacant, otherwise I would habe been in panic the entire flight."
Cons: "When we went to check in on 6/30, the website said all legs of our reservation have been flown. We had to call British Airways and then the booking company (Webjet) to finally get things sorted out. British Airways counted our flight from JFK to CDG as a "no show" but in reality, we had just missed our connecting flight because of so many delays at JFK. We had received no notification from Webjet or British Airways of these changes and were told that our taxes were refunded for the return tickets."
Pros: "It is great that they give every person a blanket and pillow on boarding. Flight was nice and dark. The flanges that pull down on either side of the headrest to lean your head into are genius."
Cons: "Flight was late and announcements were not understandable over the PA. While I understand that seats are made for the "average passenger" and at 5'2" I am on the very low end of that, seat was very uncomfortable with a metal bar higher than the seat cushion poking forward where the cushion met the seatback. The temperature was extremely variable and when my seat mates who did not speak English very well tried to flag a flight attendant down to get an extra blanket, the flight attendants actively ignored them, so I hit my assistance button and my light went on, then after some time it went off again without our being helped so I hit it again about 10 minutes later and my light went on again but was again ignored. Then the attendants started selling things from the flight magazine and looked the other way as they went by my hopeful beacon. When they finally did get to me, I got a curt "I'll see if there is anything I can do" and she went off, returning 5 minutes later with one blanket when there were two people. Later on I saw her give blankets to others, and I found that strange."
Cons: "My luggage didn't make it to NY. Very upset about this because I have no idea when it will be delivered!"
Cons: "Attittude of Ground Staff and difficult to find check in counters at CDG airport"
Cons: "Although it was clear already around 9:30 that this flight (scheduled to depart at 10:25) would be severely delayed sue to fog in CDG and LHR, the local British Airways staff adamantly refused to assist in rerouting us either from Paris or from London to our final destination in Chicago. Their complete lack of cooperation was stunning and quite offensive. A different tune was played by the airport staff for international connections who helped us expeditiously and kindly to be rerouted on an United Airlines flight."
Pros: "great selection of in flight entertainment."
Cons: "At JFK there was a long wait for the luggage, which ended up not being delivered to the carousel, after we had waited for almost 2 hours. Granted, there was some snow and some technical issue since the fire alarm system was flashing the whole time, but still, there were only two announcements made during that time, and the second one to let us know that we'd have to arrange for delivery of our luggage on the website. By that time, it was past 11;30pm and everyone was dead tired, when the flight had been supposed to land at 7:25pm. I think the blame is to be laid on the JFK installations. Everywhere I travel in Europe, airports are in brand new condition, and not only departure areas like in the US. No wonder baggage delivery was a mess after just a little snow/"
Cons: "Only frustrating thing was that i missed my flight due to traffic and poor uber service. When i got to the airport i wasn't allowed to check in. This caused me to be charged a $275.00 late fee for my ticket and my friends. Since i lost my phone when it fell out of my pocket onto the train tracks as i entered the heathrow express i wasn't able to transfer funds to pay for the $550.00 worth of ticket transfer fees. It was a huge issue but eventually it was sorted. Not knowing if you will be able to get back to your county or not is a very stressful experience. Wish i could get my $550.00 back. I thought those charges were pretty steep. My name is Joseph A. Iaquinto Jr. My flight was originally booked for 6pm from london heathrow to JFK on 12/12/2016. My email and paypal are both email@example.com"
Pros: "For the last flight of the day out of Paris, surprisingly the flight left on time and landed ahead of schedule."
Cons: "Had to wait for a bus to take us a very short distance to T5. The flight was packed - too many people with large carry-on cases."
Pros: "Fast bag drop and quick efficient boarding. Flight wasn't full so plenty of space. BA still serves complimentary drinks and a small snack (crisps or biscuit) with the drinks."
Pros: "Excellent aircraft, seems very new. Main meal served (I had vegetarian option) was great. Blankets provided were very nice. Good entertainment."
Cons: "The smaller snack served later in the flight was not good. I had the vegetarian option, and the items in the box were meant to be served at room temperature but I believe the box had been heated up with the regular meals, and everything in the box was piping hot - chocolate bar was melted, mustard packet was hot, lettuce on sandwich was wilted, dried fruit mix was hot."
Pros: "the crew were friendly and efficient"
Cons: "old plane uncomfortably seats no personal IFE"
Pros: "Really the only thing I've found that is good your staff on the flight it's self. The on board crew are very good. Everthing else pretty much makes it terrible."
Cons: "First off they quote you rate and you pay. Then you find out that you have to pay more just to request a seat. Complete move motivated by pure greed and manipulating us the consumer. Even more so if you don't go and request your seat 24hrs before the flight they automatically assign you the middle seat so they can go and sell the better window and aisle seats. This pretty much makes me want to never use your greedy airline again. Also when I was boarding I get stopped and told my carry on was to large. THE VERY SAME ONE I BROUGHT WITH ME. Why is it too big now? They really had no answer other than they told me I had to check it. The lady was verbally aggressive with me about it. After I was backing down only because I was afraid of losing my flight she then requested a CC saying I had to pay for it. I was literally pulling things out of my bag holding in my hand for my flight. She insisted I had to pay for it. I pointed out that my ticket included 2 bags to begin with and I only used one she said it doesn't matter because its to big for the plane I have to pay. I'm beyond furious now as I'm dropping stuff out of my hands trying to manage everything. I'd like to point out this is just a small gym bag and its a lot smaller than my carry on suite case which I'm frustrated. I'm pretty much pissed off the whole flight to only be more at the end. When the plane lands and I'm getting off I notice every single person has a carry on suite case all of which are much larger than my gym bag. My freaking gym bag fits in the tiny locker at the gym. I HATE BRITISH AIRLINES they only succeed at swindling money from you."
Cons: "Booked flight with BA but it was an American Airlines plane. The plane was old and had no individual tv monitors. The two movies shown had poor sound quality. Food wasn't international flight standard"
Pros: "The entertainment selection was good. They provided a lot of options at no additional cost. Some of the crew was pleasant."
Cons: "In all fairness to British airways this was actually "operated by AA" and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Traffic to get into the airport was the worst I've ever seen. When we finally arrived, Although we checked in prior to arrival, we still had to wait in line for over an hour to check in our bags! We told the agents three times our flight was boarding, however, they were almost nasty and would not expedite us. they finally started to call our flight and we were pulled from the line, even then it was very disorganized how we were processed. We had to run through security and the long terminal and along with others in our flight that had been in line, were the last to board as the flight was delayed waiting for us. One of the worst experiences ever. They really need to do something about their check in process as we were not the only ones subjected to these delays. The plane had technical problems landing and had to be towed in but thank God we made it."
Cons: "As was opperated by American Airlines And they shut the gate as my 6year old was approaching. Telling us that we could not get on the flight. Leaving my whole family stranded in Orlando international with the comment " you'll need to go back to the check in desk". So was not on the flight. After over 3 hours checking in and getting through security. This airline is shockingly bad. It will be avoided at all costs. Not really surprised as the flights with them to get there were very bad also. Go with a different airline. Always."
