Not a United thing, but late afternoon departures from Denver with thunderstorms is always prone to delays.
Kayak booked this flight with only 1h 20min layover in Chicago. This made it impossible for me and several other passengers to reach this flight. Moreover, the gate closed boarding in spite of several passengers still on their way without waiting even one more minute. However, the plane departed with 20min (!) delay, i.e., there would have been at least 15 min time to let the delayed passengers board without causing any delays. I complained and as a "thank you" the attendent booked us on the last (!) flight to Indianapolis ~7h later! Thankfully, I caught the spitefulness and the United customer line rebooked the flight to an earlier flight. Although I can't grade this particular flight since I never had a chance to take it, Kayak made the mistake of a too short layover and the crew at the gate was awful.
Sitting in coach even in the larger leg space is extremely uncomfortable and the staff pay no attention.
Really delayed, no effort to support customers other than “sometimes we run late.”
It was serviceable, nothing special but nothing awful on this leg.
A long delay. Don't travel late in the day.
The seat was comfortable. There was a lot of turbulence. If it weren't for that,it would have been okay.
It was great, I’m very grateful for the pilots and crew flight attendants for everything.
Flight was great. Efficient boarding. Short flight. Early arrival. Friendly flight crew. The entertainment system did not work well. Could not access it until the aircraft reached 10K feet or more. Lots of glitches.
No food service almost missed because of first flight delays
The boarding by groups is pointless. The first two groups worked fine, but almost Noone boarded in goups three thru five leaving the vast majority boarding when group six was called. It defeated the purpose of spreading out the crowd.
Weather delay for 2.5 hours followed by half hour crew delay, did not have ginger ale, uncomfortable seats
We missed our flight. The boarding pass had the wrong gate and by the time we received the text from Kayak, our flight was already gone. I’ll never use Kayak again and will go direct to the airlines in the future.
I blame kayak for my last trip to dca. Kayak cancelled my direct flight and put on a one stop flight and made lost whole day from my vacation and had not even refunded my ticket.
Flight delayed on both ends - have a gate ready at DCA, don't make us sit for 30min after being late to take off as well.
delayed multiple times. no resolution on anything from AA customer service. was put on hold in chat to talk to manager. was 6th in line to talk to manager for more than TWELVE HOURS - from sometime around 9AM until well after I had gone to bed that evening. no explanation, no attempt to make it right. just a five hour delay because of repeated maintenance claims
Terrible. I didn’t fly and I had an important meeting the next day.
Everything went well. Got a snack and a beverage.. Able to watch live tv and movies in flight
Don't fly with American Airlines. My flight out was canceled and the only way I could get close was to go to a different airport and pay a lot of money on train tickets and lose my rental car. On the way back it was delayed and then we sat on the plane for 2 hours at the gate before they made us deplane go to a new gate wait an hour and reboard. Both of the flights were due to mechanical issues with nothing offered to travelers.
We sat on the runway for an hour after landing with few updates. I was not allowed to use the restroom during half the flight because of drink service. Flight attendants could not have showed less care.
