Cons: "We didn't really have social distancing on board but it was as good as could. be expected"

Cons: "Very little legroom. I would have appreciated a small lunch item, beyond a tiny bag of almonds or two small cookies. But this is where we are these days with air travel."

Pros: "Very kind associate working at the gate. She helped me obtain my seat assignment and was a pleasure to speak with. Her happiness was contagious (even at 6am!). She put me at ease."
Cons: "The last travelers in boarding line (including myself) had to check their carry on luggage because “there was no more room in the overhead compartments”. However, while I was walking to my seat, I saw ample storage space as well as suitcases that were laying horizontally or flat and could easily have been adjusted to create even more space. Given that most people pack their most valuable items in their carry on bags (as well as anything fragile), I was a bit uneasy checking mine. The associate who helped check my bag on the tarmac was kind. I was grateful that my luggage had a hard shell case."

Cons: "Delta staff at airport were unprofessional. They had us spend over an hour traveling to a different TSA line because they closed the line we were in. The other line was a 10 minute drive away. Also our bags did not reach philadelphia when we landed at 3 am."

Cons: "My one complaint is the bathroom layout of the A320. Two tiny closet bathrooms in the back for all of coach and a much larger one much larger one first class (which is like 5 rows with a mesh curtain for separation). The coach bathrooms are so small a normal person can barely get in and turn around to close the door. I question whether a larger person would be able to actually use them. I also saw the flight attendant actively turn away coach passengers trying to use the first class bathroom when it was open (not standing in the aisle or anything annoying like that). That's ridiculous to have 2 tiny bathrooms for all of coach and also to make people walk all the way to the back of the plane when you are seated much closer to the first class bathroom."

Pros: "The outbound crew was terrific. The flight itself was fine. We even arrived early."
Cons: "Upon deplaning in Cancun, ALL passengers are put on a bus and driven far away from the terminals to an arrivals area. Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare."

Cons: "The Cancun airport provides a terrible experience for transferring between flights, especially if you need to change from the international terminal to a domestic terminal or vice-versa. There is no way to get between terminals inside security and the free shuttle is slow and overcrowded. Meanwhile, one is forced to run a gauntlet of taxi and shuttle drivers trying to get you to pay them exorbitant fees to drive you to your terminal. Once you finally arrive you discover that there is no dedicated baggage recheck for an international arrival. Just don't buy a ticket that transfers in CUN."

The parents in the sears behind me had a child who cried & cried. It was a real spoiler for me. I enjoyed eveeeythinf about the First Class experience except that."

Delta knew this 30 minutes before my flight landed and yet Delta did not post or communicate that the flight was going to be delayed and then ultimately cancelled because there was NO PILOT. Of course when they scheduled the flight for the following day not only did they not have a full crew, they had NO PLANE. On the whole, it was pretty terrible."

Cons: "the older stuardess on my flight from Cancun to Atlanta was very misinformed- told me my carry on wouldn't fit in the over head bin... it did. Told me I had to check my duty free liquor.. I didn't. Told me I couldn't bring all of my liquor in to the US... I could. I just kept saying ok to her just to shut her up, but she ensued with her comments and wrong info as if I don't travel as often as I do. Perhaps she was attempting to be helpful, but it came off as obnoxious and rude especially since she was wrong on every accord. Humbleness and customer service training would do her very good. All other DELTA staff have been great."

Cons: "I upgraded for the cabin Round trip and when I flew back from my destination I didn't have the same good experience. I did not have the TV flying back. The plane was too rocky one minute going smooth then out of no where it into high speed. The plane was shaky."

To make things worse, the entertainment screen was broken. It did not respond to touches. More of an ordeal than entertainment. To top it all, the current flight info (e.g. time at departure & destination, flight duration) was all wrong. Not a pleasant experience."

I had to find a shuttle to another terminal the shuttlesare not marked it was very confusing"

Cons: "Without any explanation...American Airlines cancelled my reservation! I needed to be sent back to poor quality hotel for a night and take a different flight out the next morning. American Airlines was supposed to provide transportation back and forth from the hotel however a car never showed up at the hotel to pick us up and I needed to get my own taxi at the last minute (American did however reimburse me for the taxi fare at the airport). I never received an explanation as to why my reservation was cancelled and was never offered any type of compensation for such a major inconvenience. They dd ultimately waive my 25 bag fee but it wasn't very easy to even get that from them. I felt that they should have been more empathetic towards my inconvenience and offered me any type of compensation to make up for such a horrible experience. When I asked about possibly being upgraded to first class they told me absolutely not! A little graciousness can go a long way, American Airlines showed that they could not care less about my inconvenience (other than Rodrigo at the counter the next morning who actually showed he was truly sorry for the situation and at least ended up moving me to a row with more legroom). Other than this, I was extremely disappointed with this experience and how it was handled."

They made us take stuff out of the bike case and move it to the suitcase to get it below 50 pounds. Ridiculously nitpicky. It's the same overall weight..."

Pros: "Left on time, seemed to have a little more leg room than on previous flights. Experienced some air turbulence, but not sure pilot could have done anything about it. Delayed refreshments, but the attendants still managed to serve everyone."

Cons: "When first boarding the plane, the person I was with tried to close the shade on the window, the with frame and the first 2 pieces of glass popped out. We notified the flight attendant and his response was "can you stick your arm out the window and wave? No... ok you're fine" then we were notified the bathrooms in the middle of the plane were out of order and we could only use the bathrooms at the rear of the plane. There was no WiFi, and the audio system for the on board movies wasn't working. The flight attendants were only giving out cups of beverages and not the full can, which isnt a big deal but still looks bad on the airline considering everywhere flight with American has handed out full cans of soda. The perception was American dropped the ball on the his plane, and just didn't care to do the necessary maintenance. For the his head priced paid for the his hehe see tickets I would've expected better from a reputable airline. Needless to say we were a little disappointed."

She was very short in her responses, and seemed annoyed at the fact I needed help, getting my new ticket indicating I had a lap infant, as it was in my reservation. Ultimately, I had to report I had an infant with me at the flight gate, even though this was my second flight with AA that day."

Cons: "When experiencing turbulence, the flight attendant came over the speaker and requested everyone to be seated with their seat belts fastened. A few moments later she came back on reprimanding that "THIS IS NOT A JOKE YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN WITH YOUR SEAT BELTS FASTENED" which was still ok. The third announcement was the one I felt was highly inappropriate when she then stated "I DONT KNOW IF YOUVE BEEN WATCHING THE NEWS LATELY, BUT THERE IS NO WARNING WHEN THE TURBULANCE IS GOING TO GET WORSE" frankly I have been watching the news lately and there is plane CRASHES on the news. My husband is afraid of flying and that announcement was terrifying, even for someone who is not afraid to fly. There has to be some sort of protocol of verbage to use when the turbulance is getting bad, because to insinuate the plane could crash to get your point across is crossing the line. I have been on planes where the turbulance is a lot worse and felt this was really out of line."

Passengers were not told what was going on, or the reasoning for our plane being so late. 3 hour delay boarding, and also sat on runway for another 1.5 hours before takeoff. Once landed in Dayton, could not pull up to a gate for another 45 minutes. So much wasted time. I purposely picked an early flight so I could have more time with my family. Had to cancel my family dinner plans that night due to an extra 5 hours wasted."

Cons: "They delayed the flight because they had no flight attendant. They delayed it every 15 minutes from 450 to 715 and then just stopped updating us at all. We all waited with no food or drink or any news. At 815 they cancelled it and sent the whole plane to customer service to wait in line. Most of us had to stay in Wash and leave the next day. They offered us nothing except to rebook the flight. The boarding crew was laughing and joking the whole time with zero regard for our discomfort or ruining connecting flights! Never again."

Cons: "on the way there we had TV. On the way back we had to take a different route (which added more time for the trip)and we did have a TV on the head rest or even movie showing. Also one snack that has three crackers isn't worth handing out. It would be nice to be able to enjoy the snack."

The Cancun airport crew, including Paz and Raphael, worked with US consulate (on a day they are typically closed) to get permission for him to board the return flight. Otherwise, we would have had to stay two more days ( until monday) to go to the consulate. THANK YOU, United!"

Cons: "Everything costs money on top of the tickets I purchased. To compete with other airlines they are going to have to start including food, baggage, and entertainment for free especially on international flights."

Cons: "Having our flight delayed. The pilots were still in Houston when we boarded the plane in Cancun. Sat on the plane 2.5 hours before they cancelled due to staff being over the limit of hours they could work. Surely this could have been realized before they boarded us! Very sloppy management of us on the plane, getting off the plane with staff saying "we don't know what's going on""

Pros: "The pilot flew the plane well and kept us informed about the route."
Cons: "Our luggage was rummaged through and jewelry was missing from inside the checked luggage!!!!!! Not to mention the fees for traveling with a regular piece of luggage that was well within the weight limits. SOME of the crew was rude (the guy was polite). They sell everything meals, entertainment, etc on board it is already pricey to fly and I guess it includes nothing but your right to sit and breathe. . The plane was cramped and there was trash by my seat probably from a previous flight. Also, I did not get to sit by my travel companion."

Cons: "It was a bit delayed"

Pros: "I had a complaint of overly noisy passengers in front of me as did others. Finally when spoken to about it by a femal stewardess they sat sticky quoted down."
Cons: "When I boarded and got to my seat o found it dirty. The steward had me ubvelcro the cushion so he could wash it off but their was a lot of food debrie from previous passengers. I didn't feel like I was sitting in a cleaned space for the duration of the flight"

Pros: "It is apparent that United is working to improve their customer service and efficiency - factors which have deterred me from using United in the past. FROM SFO TO CANCUN: First of all, the check-in procedure is very quick these days. At SFO, there is a curb-side check in, which also allows customers to pay the baggage fee and drop off the bag right there. I've used this in the past during busy airport hours. This time, I flew overnight, so I used the self-check kiosks in front of the check-in counters to check-in, pay the baggage fee, and print my ticket. I used the check-in line to check in my suitcase. The line was so minimal and moved so quickly, (as did security), I was at the gate in 30 min (from the SFO BART station). I rarely fly United because the check-in lines used to be very long and slow. In the past, I've missed more than one flight due to extraordinarily long check-in lines. I'm glad to see on the last 3 flights I've taken with United, this has changed for the better. FROM CANCUN TO SFO: I was happy to see that Cancún also has kiosks for self-check-in. It wouldn't allow me to check my bag, though, and I had to wait in a slow line to do so. Still, a much improved check-in compared to past experiences. *I should note: the slow line had 8 people in it and took 25 minutes. With many people, United Cancun lines have been known to take over 2 hrs. This was a Thursday afternoon on January 8. I'm not sure what the line would have looked like the Saturday before . . . BOTH FLIGHTS: The stewardesses did come by several times (as opposed to once on other airlines), offering water, which was appreciated. Finally, United tends to offer multiple flights at cheaper prices and more convenient times than other airlines. However, I still prefer flying other airlines - despite the increased cost - for the reasons below."
Cons: "United planes are older, outdated, and very small. The video system on the back of the headrest in front of me did not work on either flight (there or back), and no snack of any kind was offered on the afternoon 4.5 hr flight back from Cancun to SFO. A mini bag of salted peanuts were offered on the overnight flight from SFO to Cancun. But these were the least of my concerns. Deplaning was slow and long when we arrived at Cancun. We waited with the plane door closed, and the air off, for about 10 minutes. It was a hot, humid, uncomfortable wait. Deplaning took a long time due to the small, cramped seats (see description below). On the return flight to SFO, we waited on the runway in line with other planes. While this is not the fault of United, it did make passengers more anxious to deplane. Opening the plane doors took a long time, and exiting the plane even longer because people were slow getting out of their seats and recovering their bags from the storage bins. I saw people struggling to crab-walk out to the isle on "dead legs" (the floor space between seats is so minimal, no one can stand up straight, and must grab the seat in front of him/her to shuffle out to the isle - a difficult task for the elderly, or when carrying purses as big as carry-ons, sleeping toddlers, or babies). The seats were extraordinarily hard and small on both flights. I fit in the seat just fine, but had no leg space, and could not recline. In effect, I was forced to fly the entire time in an upright position, sitting on a rock-hard seat that felt like thin plastic-leather stretched over metal bars. I'm a young 40yr old traveler of normal size (5'4") and health (135 lbs), yet it was extremely uncomfortable sitting on that seat with no way to redistribute weight. I had pain in my legs for over 24 hrs after flying United from Cancun to SFO. I flew 6 round trips to Miami and Mexico City last year from SFO and never had this happen. I've flown to Peru and Miami direct - and much more comfortably - on other airlines. I will not choose a direct flight over 2 hrs on United again, and will continue to choose other airlines whenever possible."

Cons: "Unorganized boarding process, had to pay to check my only bag I brought, no complimentary snack, no options of movies or channels to watch. For such a long fligjt some kind of options is appreciated"

Pros: "A few delays (as to be expected from chicago )"

Cons: "The check in fees & maybe the staff could seem a little bit more excited when we Landed in Cancun."

Pros: "The flight was smooth and no incidents. The plane was clean and the flight attendants courtesy at the higher level."
Cons: "Even if I had the app downloaded I couldn't watch anything...kind a boring. Hope that they can fix that for the future."

Pros: "Leaving Cancun I was instructed to consolidate my purse into my overhead bag. In this process my cell phone was left at the terminal gates. At Houston lost baggage counter a wonderful woman was able to connect with the airport security in Mexico. Locate my phone, arrange for a hold and friend to pick it up in two days when she was flying out of the same terminal. I greatly appreciated everyone's effort to go the extra mile and the Mexican staff was beyond helpful especially since I was coordinating this all from the US with broken Spanish"
Cons: "Leaving SFO to Cancun, a horrible experience two day delay due to weather. No offer for even a toothbrush was given, no refund for any part of the tickets or costs of delays. I managed to leave the airport and return, waiting for several flights I was finally able to fly standby with a layover into Mexico DF and on to Cancun. Arriving three days later than my original plan. The most frustrating part was on the second morning people were being offered $500 and hotel rooms to give up their seats on an over booked flight yet no compensation or accommodation was offered for the delays I had been through. When asked point blank if I could have this same offer I was suddenly found to be able to fit on the next flight. Overall extremely flustered with united"

Pros: "The flight to Mexico was great. Great service. Very comfortable ... Excellent ticket agent in Columbus. Prompt fights."
Cons: "During my check in process in Cancun I encountered the single worst airline employee in my extensive travel history. Guillermo Delgado is the most rude, demeaning, aweful person of any airline. When he wasn't roaming the line of ticketing agents kissing the female agents and flirting he was talking on his radio all the while the other agents were processing 10 customers or more to his one. Once we finally got to our turn he was rude and demeaning refusing to check are bags unless we paid him extra money despit being presented with out confirmation stating the first bag was included as it was an international flight. He demanded money under threat of arrest by Mexican police which he stated were his close friends. After buying the bag fees on my credit card he demanded additional funds in cash. Again under threat of arrest. He then stated he would not allow us to fly if we were not immediately compliant which we were. He finally gave us boarding passes and we escaped Mexico ... We will never return. We have traveled the world and never experienced anything like this."
