Too much delay

New plant with ample leg room!

The last minute gate change was not great. We arrived at the new gate and nearly all the seats were occupied. Beyond that I do not understand why many passengers were called up to verify their paperwork at the gate. This should be handled elsewhere. Again we lost our seats when asked to do this.

Flight was delayed AGAIN. Rough landing. Did not seem to have a clue what to do

Too much waiting after a long flight. I fly to NYC all the time and I’m usually in the city one hour after I land and it took 2 hours 15 min to get to Queens. Usually I have great flights with JetBlue. Last night was not the case. You get a C."

We got to airport at 3:45 am- no one at the check in counter, employees finally arrived at 4 am, checked in, but then we don’t have seats asssigned! We get to the gate and wait-wait-wait until almost 5am and finally the employees were able to find someone willing to move so that myself and kids don’t get seats in emergency exit row. Nuts. Very unpleasant(not the employees, those were nice-it’s the check in and seat assignment policies)."

Pros: "Jet Blue was GREAT- as usual. I want you to know that getting through security in ATL airport was an ordeal. Incredibly long lines, disorganized (a sign clearly said, TSA Pre-check- line up here) and then the people managing the lines yelling at us (and this is an observation) because they wanted us lined up further back. This was baffling because the actual line into the TSA space was empty at that point. I think the ATL security staff could all benefit from some further training about to work with people effectively AND ATL airport needs to look at their systems. I know it's a busy airport, but there has to be something better than what they are doing now!"

Cons: "When I scanned my boarding pass the Jetblue staff member told me my carry on was too big and had to be checked. This was puzzling to me because I travel often and do not have a problem with that bag. As I was sitting on the plane I saw everyone's bag's were bigger especially the man next to me. His was significantly larger and he had a large duffle bag between his legs causing him to manspread into my area. and yet i was told "make sure your purse is under the seat" seriously?! What about his giant duffle bag and huge carry on roller?!"

Cons: "Upon boarding an odor of vomit was obvious. An attendant announced that a previous passenger had been sick in the row and there was no time to adequately clean it. There was only one food option available for purchase. Neither the overhead reading light or entertainment system at my seat worked. The first attendant I approached told me she could find me a seat in the back of the plane. I declined as I reserved a seat in the front of the plane in order to deplane and go through customs swiftly. I was then offered a seat directly behind the row where the passenger had vomited. Eventually, a different attendant placed me in a seat nearer the front of the place where both the light and entertainment system worked."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed making it so I and several others had less than 4 minutes to catch our next flight. The flight attendants wouldn’t help us at all. Instead of having us come to the front of the plane to exit first we had to ask the rest of the passengers if they didn’t mind letting us through to catch our flight. I have severe psoriatic arthritis and I had to sprint to my next gate that had been changed making it much farther away from our arrival gate. Now I get to spend my vacation in pain trying to recover."

Pros: "The one thing I liked was the expedited service I got because my brother needed a wheelchair. The comfort of the plane was really nice as well, one of the best flights I had in a while."
Cons: "What I didn’t like was how my flight got cancelled and the only flight I was able to get was 4 days later. So I was stuck in the Dominican Republic for a total of two weeks!! I had to miss another weekend at work which made me lose a lot of money since I’m a barber and lost some one my clientele. On top of my flight being cancelled it also got delayed again but only by 30 minutes so I wasn’t so upset. When it came to the boarding, that had to be the slowest boarding I’ve went through. The gate seemed very behind on the technology and that caused the workers to work even slower. At times they had to step away and go on their monitor to fix something out so it took an extra 30 minutes before I even got into my seat, and I was sitting in row 6 of the plane. Then after everyone was seated the flight got held back an extra half hour because a lady wanted to file a complaint saying that she got pushed and ended up being the only person that got kicked off the flight so she did it all for nothing. So with everything happening, our flight got delayed an hour and a half. Very disappointed.."

Cons: "There were only two flights, one to my and one to Boston. My bag went to the wrong place and the way they handled it was disgusting. Making us run around the airport with no answers and nobody wanting to check the conveyer belt. Then they said if they found it they would let me know. They found the bag and they said by 6:30. Well, 6:30 passed and they had my bag but they couldn't tell me when it would be delivered and they use a third party company who they didn't have a contact number for or any answer as to when it would be delivered (I needed several things for work so it was a rush). Lastly, the lady I spoke to on the phone said it was my fault that I would not be there to receive the bag the following day as they did what they are supposed to. I was really surprised with how bad this customer service was as a whole. No communication and just nasty."

Pros: "The crew seemed capable and came around a couple times with water. We arrived safe and sound as one would hope for, if an hour or so later than scheduled. Seats seemed roomier than most standard economy/coach (probably due to it being an older model). Though I didn’t partake they seemed to offer more complimentary snack options than other airlines."
Cons: "The airplane cabin had a strong urine odor that endured throughout the red-eye flight, the air temperature had to have been at least 75 degrees, probably 80 which was a bit stifling. No usb/power at the seat which would be preferable/should be standard by now for a coast-to-coast flight. Seat didn’t recline which isn’t the end of the world but a bit of a bummer. My headphones didn’t work with the little screen at my seat but it’s ok because based on my neighbor’s screen it was just a rotating lineup of Jet Blue commercials/fake tv shows that I can easily pass on."

This practise delays boarding, delays disembarkation, makes the aircraft top heavy in takeoff and landing and creates 'pop open and drop' type accidents. Cons: "The flight was delayed by 1hour and 40 min. One hour at the boarding gate and 40min on the airstrip. Pilot said we were overweight. When we landed at 730 vs 557 we still had a delay because our gate was occupied causing a greater dalay. Due ro this delay I was late to work. The flight attendee making the announcements might have been new because she kept messing up what she was saying and shouting and mumbling through the speaker. I usually have amazing flights with jetblue but I'm highly disappointed with this flight."

Cons: "When I received my luggage it was so damaged that someone used clear tape to keep it closed. There was no note inside the luggage to state if it was tsa who went through the bag so I went to customer service to inquire about it. The representative from New York airport stated that I over packed my bag that's why it was damaged. I can assure you that my bag was under weight and there was no problem when i last closed it. So to be clear both zippers on my luggage was completely destroyed and taped up like a ragged cloth. I was embarrassed to walk around with my bag and the only recompensation I received was a $40 credit to my next flight."

2hr delay. Other airlines were all flying out on time so maybe it was staff shortage? When we eventually took off, we went from Cancun to JFK in 3 hours. Fast once in the air.

Cons: "I dont know WHY Delta changed my flight with ALIITALIA, but, DON'T DO IT DELTA. The check in process took an hour, not talking about the line, the ACTUAL checkin at the counter. I couldn't complete my web checkin at the AliItalia web site. Landed in JFK, still sucks as an airport, nobody helps, nobody explains anything, very poor signs and instructions, Global Entry kiosk are hard to spot. My connection ticket didn't have the TSA/PRECHECK legend, went to AliItalia counter, the lady at AliItalia barely said anything when I asked for help with that, her immediate answer was to disengage and sent me to another terminal "to talk to Delta". She didn't explain or didn't want to give an explanation until I started to act as an already 9hr30min flight frustrated customer in a very old, very poor plane with poor food service. Again, I bought an over $1,000 ticket with DELTA, NOT ALIITALIA, if Delta send people with their "partners" at least make sure that they are taken care of properly."

Cons: "The last travelers in boarding line (including myself) had to check their carry on luggage because “there was no more room in the overhead compartments”. However, while I was walking to my seat, I saw ample storage space as well as suitcases that were laying horizontally or flat and could easily have been adjusted to create even more space. Given that most people pack their most valuable items in their carry on bags (as well as anything fragile), I was a bit uneasy checking mine. The associate who helped check my bag on the tarmac was kind. I was grateful that my luggage had a hard shell case."

Cons: "KLM staff at the AMS airport were not helpful. She insisted that our luggage weigh exactly 23kg. At 23.7, she had us go back to take things out with only 45 minutes to boarding. Cons: "The security process in the Prague airport is so ridiculous. There are security agents who screen you in the baggage drop off line that makes the line take a very long time. Once you finally get your sticker from them it’s a quick trip through customs. Then the pain really begins with a security scan st each individual gate to enter a boarding area for the plane. Then I was pulled for extra security where a male agent touched my but with some sort of swab with no warning. He then claimed to not speak English (with zero accent when I asked him a question). It was a humiliating and very long process all run by delta!"

Cons: "My one complaint is the bathroom layout of the A320. Two tiny closet bathrooms in the back for all of coach and a much larger one much larger one first class (which is like 5 rows with a mesh curtain for separation). The coach bathrooms are so small a normal person can barely get in and turn around to close the door. I question whether a larger person would be able to actually use them. I also saw the flight attendant actively turn away coach passengers trying to use the first class bathroom when it was open (not standing in the aisle or anything annoying like that). That's ridiculous to have 2 tiny bathrooms for all of coach and also to make people walk all the way to the back of the plane when you are seated much closer to the first class bathroom."

Cons: "Upon deplaning in Cancun, ALL passengers are put on a bus and driven far away from the terminals to an arrivals area. Those of us with connecting flights are royally f*cked at that point, especially if your connection is short, as mine was. The so-called shuttle to the departure terminals, which are entire kilometers away, was to arrive in like half an hour. HALF AN HOUR. Who has this time to spare?? The alternative to the shuttle is paying a taxi that charges a hefty fare--and God help you if you don't have cash. The departures terminal was swamped and only thru begging assistance and line cuts did I make my connection...and then only by the skin of my teeth. It was a complete nightmare."
Cons: "The Cancun airport provides a terrible experience for transferring between flights, especially if you need to change from the international terminal to a domestic terminal or vice-versa. There is no way to get between terminals inside security and the free shuttle is slow and overcrowded. Meanwhile, one is forced to run a gauntlet of taxi and shuttle drivers trying to get you to pay them exorbitant fees to drive you to your terminal. Once you finally arrive you discover that there is no dedicated baggage recheck for an international arrival. Just don't buy a ticket that transfers in CUN."

Cons: "the older stuardess on my flight from Cancun to Atlanta was very misinformed- told me my carry on wouldn't fit in the over head bin... it did. Told me I had to check my duty free liquor.. I didn't. Told me I couldn't bring all of my liquor in to the US... I could. I just kept saying ok to her just to shut her up, but she ensued with her comments and wrong info as if I don't travel as often as I do. Perhaps she was attempting to be helpful, but it came off as obnoxious and rude especially since she was wrong on every accord. Humbleness and customer service training would do her very good. All other DELTA staff have been great."
Cons: "For a competitive price charged by almost any other airline for the same distance, there was no lunch on a midday international flight? That is terrible. To make things worse, the entertainment screen was broken. It did not respond to touches. More of an ordeal than entertainment. To top it all, the current flight info (e.g. time at departure & destination, flight duration) was all wrong. Not a pleasant experience."

Cons: "No available SkyTeam lounge unless you had a business class ticket. As a Diamond flier, I can always access the SkyTeam lounges. Audio for boarding was a little unclear so there was some confusion at boarding. For reasons unknown, my bag was moved from one overhead bin to another. Very frustrating since I board early to avoid this confusion and hassle."

Cons: "The flight attendants were uniformly rude and nasty to passengers from start to finish. As I boarded, I asked for a piece of art to be stored in the wardrobe compartment. This was treated as an inconvenience. During and after boarding, flight attendants addressed passengers rudely when encouraging them to take their seats in a timely fashion. Later, when my seat mate politely asked a FA to repeat the food options, she asked, "Excuse me?" several times and seemed very irritated to have to repeat the choices for him. Also, near the end of the flight, a pillow was on the ground and a FA asked those seated in my row to pick it up. We responded that it wasn't ours and she said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah? So how did it get there?" (Maybe because someone else dropped it and we didn't notice?) The FAs seemed irritated to serve passengers at all. Each time they passed through for beverage or meal service, I felt like I was imposing on them. I have never witnessed anything quite like it. Makes me wonder why they were all so upset and and felt it appropriate to speak and act disrespectfully toward customers. (Delta, do you have any insights?) I hope they all got a good night's rest after that haul."

I slept in the airport because i couldnt find a hotel to spend the night close to the airport. They were all full and i had no time to find one since I was waiting there for 3 hours with no informational. I slept on the floor and delta didnt even offer us a blanket. That was my worst trip ever."
Pros: "Boarding in St Thomas is always a mess, no matter what airline you fly. I usually fly Delta because the planes are clean and the people are nice. Well this time the staff went well above and beyond. My friend and I were sitting in the front row of seats in the lounge at the airport, facing the Delta gates. There was a mob of people milling about between us and the gate, so we could not see very well, but we thought we had a clear view of the door. Also it was very loud in the terminal. The flight had a delay, so we were relaxing and chatting, when I got a text from my mom asking if I was on the plane. So I went to the counter to inquire if they had started boarding our flight. The lady looked at me with surprise and said, "We have been paging you!!". Well we were both surprised! We had not heard anything over the general din in the airport. It turns out they had completed boarding and already rolled the stairs away from the plane! Perhaps it was just the luck of the draw, but the seats had much more legroom than my first flight to Paris as opposed to the return to NY. The flight crew were all courteous and pleasant. I'll add that we arrived to the airport with over 2 hours to spare before our flight which should have been more than enough time. We probably would have missed the flight if not for a few decent Charles de Gaulle employees who bumped us though lines at customs when they realized the time crunch, no thanks to anyone with American Airlines. I heard so many saying they will not use American Airlines again, and how saving a few dollars was not worth the headache. Flying is already stressful enough, don't make it that much worse."

The American Airlines crew did not know how to handle my G4 visa while checking in and they neglected to mark my bag with the orange ribbon signaling platinum status in American. This is key to getting your luggae faster in baggage claim when you have a short connection (I had less than two hours). This omission caused my suitcase to arrive last, and I had to run to make it to my next flight."

Without fail, the flight attendants bumped their carts into my chair EVERY time they passed. If I had been trying to sleep, this would be much more of a disturbance to me. Seeing as I was just watching movies and enjoying the food, it wasn't that much of an issue. However, I think it would be easy for the flight attendants to just take a second longer to try to navigate around the chair and not bump it every time. Little things like that go a long way, especially on a long flight."

Also, our flight left an hour later!!! No one said anything to us about why we were late. They accommodated those with connecting flights in the US but still. What is going on?"

As a result, we lost a whole day of our vacation, missed our Broadway performance, and others missed their business meetings. All the alerts informing us of the delay were sent long after they already occurred. I will avoid flying American again at all costs."

So you show up to the airport and your flight lands with way more then enough time to get to work that day and younprint your ticket to find out you have no seat. That's because they sold more seats than they have incase someone didn't show up. But everyone did show up. So of course they find you another flight in LA which is a good 3+ hours away so you can spend another 3 hours to get to your gate to wait 2 more hours to go to take of so you can reach your destination making you late for work and making you call out. Just because they wanted to make sure every single seat was filled."

Cons: "Airport closed with no accommodation or resources. Slept freezing in a chair. Late flight and stranded overnight with no compensation, apology or reason why/where to go/what to do."

Cons: "there was absolutely no notfication that we were flying with ANA! I understand the flight was booked with united and you guys are part of the star partnership thing or whatever but it made finding out where to check in very stressful and time consuming! Stop overbooking your flights!"

Cons: "i got there super early and print my ticket. and i rrcieved an.email saying my flight changed into another nonstop one. i went to a staff.for help. he told me my fligjt has changed an printed out a new one for me. when the new flight start boarding another staff told me i was not on the list, thus i have no seat, I have to stand by. i mean what is going on with your system? no one stand out even for an apology. i was planning to arrive newark ar 8pm, instead i got here almost 12am and missed all my schedules. the staff was rude and did not even admit it. well thanks UNITED, will never book your flight any more also the flight i.took has no wifi no audio no outlet.nothing. and has a mechanical maintanance for a delay for 4 hours."

Cons: "We had requested for Asian vegetarian for all the 3 family members. Only 2 were given Asian vegetarian during first half. For the second half, my daughter was given meat sandwich! We are vegetarians due to our religious beliefs and our request for Asian vegetarian meal was totally disregarded. At DC wheelchair was not available even after waiting for several minutes. The staff said she had called for wheelchair 4 times and asked us if we wanted to wait more or walk to the shuttle that was waiting. Since we didn't know how long it would take, we decided to walk to the shuttle. This was a United flight that Luftansa had tie up with and it has been very disappointing experience. I used to like Luftansa and have recommend it to my friends in the past. Even though my tickets were with Luftansa, the experience was nothing like before. I plan to share my experience with friends and family and probably think twice before purchasing tickets via Luftansa!"

Cons: "It took over half an hour, for the plane to depart from the runway. In addition, the gate was changed three times without overhead announcements from O'Hare."

Cons: "Turbulence was horrid. Had to re route the landing causing me to miss my connecting flight. united had no other options for 23 hours. Therefore I chose to return to my starting destination. I still had to spend the night at the airport, and missed a 10 hour day of work due to no other flight options. All I received was a verbal apology. Glad I paid for a flight to a one night stay at Denver airport and back."
