Pros: "As a result of extensive business travel, my husband and I enjoy premiere status with United . We love the airline, because even when we buy inexpensive tickets on our own dime for family travel, we are treated exceptionally well and often upgraded. The flight was on time, the ground and cabin crew friendly and the captain competent. That works for us!"
Pros: "I arrived safely."
Cons: "It's a zoo. It's a DIY of checking in and checking your bags in. No staff is around to help. You are on your own. Unorganized."
Pros: "Quiet and calm smooth flight"
Cons: "It was cold in cabin at first."
Pros: "Leg room and window seat."
Cons: "Better free tv"
Cons: "My seat had garbage on the seat, on the floor and in the front pocket"
Cons: "There were a three drubknguys talking loudly and doing shots the whole flight"
Cons: "Again board from back to front....would have been nice to know to bring headfones with me so I could have watched a movie in my device, usually they play a movie for all."
Pros: "The two people that helped."
Cons: "That United had NO remorse for our inconvenience and offered NO compensations."
Pros: "Good leg room"
Cons: "Had ro pay for entertainment"
Pros: "The fact that I didn't die."
Cons: "Seriously? We can't have at least a few channels for free? Or a least a few free movies to view? How can you expect someone to sit there for 6 hours and just stare out the window. We can't even get limited internet to text/email? $25 for a few hours of service? You guys are really running a scam for your passengers."
Pros: "Great crew!! Very cheerful and engaging."
Cons: "Wasn't informed ahead of time that I needed to download the app to my notebook for entertainment purposes, so that was frustrating as I didn't wish to pay for inflight WiFi, something that I feel should be complimentary in First Class."
Pros: "Everything. Specially, the United entertainment thing."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "No entertainment"
Cons: "Take off and landing both were horrible."
Pros: "Everyone and everything was great"
Cons: "The flight attendant female, black with long hair was very short with passengers and just not very nice. Seat was not able to recline back at all and leg room was not adequate. Not a comfortable flight."
Pros: "Left on time."
Pros: "The employees"
Cons: "The delay of 3 hours."
Pros: "The flight attendants were as great as they could be given the situation."
Cons: "Sat next to someone quite large I had to squash myself uncomfortable every time someone needed the restroom. This happened frequently as our plane was discovered to have electrical problems immediately before takeoff. Our flight was delayed 2 hours because of this."
Cons: "30 min delays on both ends."
Pros: "Having a flight. United Airlines employee at the help desk was very helpful and found the quickest available flight."
Cons: "Got my ticket. Had to run through the airport because the layover time was too short (as it has been on MANY of my flights with United). Attendant that took my ticket was actually rude to me about having a ticket on the plane. Boarding was disorganized."
Pros: "Seats were in good condition."
Cons: "Tight seating. Have to buy entertainment. No wi-fi"
Pros: "Pretty much the same... things were smooth and staff we very nice and pleasant."
Pros: "Overall the flight process was fine."
Cons: "Kayak is not transparent enough about highlighting which flights are low cost flights during purchasing. I thought I was purchasing a regular fare where I could bring a normal carry-on onto the flight, but this was a low cost flight and I had to check my bag. This information was not disclosed until after payment, and I believe this is dishonest on the part of Kayak. Kayak needs to be much more upfront about the details of the flights so that we passengers can select flights according to their needs. I felt deceived by the fare and would have purchased a different flight if I would have known ahead of time."
Pros: "Experience"
Cons: "The time"
Pros: "- I did make it home, 2 hours later..."
Cons: "- Service: plane had multiple problems, including flight instrumentation - Worse Service: keeping customers in the dark regarding timing of repairs and how long we'd be stuck at LAX - And nothing worked: no wifi (even though it was advertised)"
Pros: "The flight left on time and landed on time."
Cons: "The asian mix cracker pak was horrible. Seats cramped and uncomfortable. Plane loud inside and cold."
Cons: "Not enough legroom for someone 6'5""
Cons: "Long delay"
Cons: "Snacks are a joke. Barely enough to fill a teaspoon. Entertainment choices are extremely limited"
Cons: "No wifi... with the amount you pay for the flight, seems insane you have to pay for wifi too"
Pros: "NO DELAYS!!!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "I was very I'll and could not complete this flight. Was told by airline to call Kayak for changing date of flight for $50 vs $200 they would charge. Ticket was less than $200. I called Kayak. They said sorry it will cost you $200 per airline policy. Either way, this is unacceptable to me. I will stick with Southwest who let's you change flights on all fares if you use it within one year. So since change fee was more than ticket I just ate the cost. Not happy with UNITED or KAYAK. Won't use either one again."
Pros: "Crew was new but okay."
Cons: "Flight was delayed by an hour or so. Then had a last minute gate change across the airport from my original gate."
Pros: "Friendly captain!"
Cons: "Legs cramped"
Cons: "This flight was cancelled and it became one of the most chaotic ordeals to get from Newark to Seattle."
Pros: "NOT A THING."
Cons: "2 hour delay. Waiting in the plane on the tarmac for 45 minutes before we departed to SF."
Cons: "Staff was not overly friendly and carried few smiles."
Pros: "Roomy exit row seats."
Cons: "Having flown on several other air carriers in the past two years, United's inflight entertainment is poor. Don't make us use our own devices - that's just cheap on your part."
Pros: "The flight was pretty normal."
Cons: "The flight attendants were not very friendly and it was difficult to get the media player to work to use the entertainment options."
Pros: "After Carolyn M. Hamilton asks United Airlines for financial break to reschedule her flight, her broken leg and broken heart quickly heals when United comes through. Wouldn't that be a great headline and story? Thanks for trying."
Pros: "At 6' tall I'm not exactly TALL, SLIGHTLY above average yet as hard as I pressed back into the seat I wasn't able to squeeze Even a milimeter of leg room. I spent 2+hrs in moderate pain with no options. The seat sold to me WASN'T big enough for a person talker than 5'10". I felt ripped off. At age 41 I've NEVER had a flight with less leg room. Ever, not on a commuter flight or anything. It was a very painful experience. I had to ice my knee caps afterwards."
Cons: "ZERO LEG ROOM AT ALL. PAINFUL to say the least."
Pros: "it was very comfortable"
Cons: "Flight was delayed over and over again"
Pros: "We got lucky and there were two empty seats across the aisle, which happened to have extra leg room, and the one gentleman sitting there, graciously offered to move to the window seat so my husband could sit in the aisle seat. My husband was quite happy that he was able to move just across the aisle from me and have the extra leg room."
Cons: "My husband's original seat had a broken jack for headphones and the only thing they could offer was to switch seats with someone that wasn't going to use theirs. Luckily, the man sitting across the aisle heard what was going on and offered his seat to my husband and the gentleman just moved to the window seat. Paying an extra $118 for basically nothing; it's not very clear before you buy it, what exactly your paying the extra money for. On our return flight, we flew American, and the same thing would have only cost us an extra $42. We had to wait in a ridiculously long security line in Chicago and by the time we got to our terminal, 90% of the passengers were already on the flight or in line to enter the plane and that's what we found out we had paid the extra $118 for."
