Cons: "I downloaded the AA ap and followed the instructions but could not get entertainment to work on my Android phone."
Pros: "Seats comfortable. Plane clean."
Cons: "Air conditioning way too cold. Turning off outlets did not stop extremely cold air. Delay caused by redistributing passengers to move weight. Seemed unnecessary, but apparently it wasn't. Would rather be safe than sorry. when pilot talked, couldn't understand him at all. Slurred speech."
Pros: "Flight attendants were amazing. Definitely some of the best I've ever encountered."
Cons: "Crew at the desk were rude. They also enacted policies that I'd never seen before about gate checking, and implied I was crazy when I noted how unusual it was. I literally came off a previous AA flight with the previous policy and they said I was confusing them with AE."
Cons: "Be on time. We missed connection flight due to departure delay"
Pros: "Absolutely NOTHING"
Cons: "I WANT MY MONEY BACK. We were stuck on a plane for 10 HOURS. No food available. Just sitting there. Communication from the crew SUCKED. Their staffing sucked. I WANT MY MONEY BACK"
Pros: "Crew was on par. Not great, but not bad either. It was a tiny plane so we were all cramped in there."
Pros: "Fast Flights were a major plus!"
Cons: "Crew could’ve been more enthusiastic"
Cons: "I don’t understand the concept of the ability to use your mobile device for entertainment, yet not having a power source to charge your device."
Pros: "Good first. Class seat"
Cons: "Lotsa turbulence, very hard to sleep"
Pros: "The airlines don't allow enough room to sit comfortably. I am 6' 2" 250 lbs. My knees touch the back of the seat in front of me and there is no room side to side. Very uncomfortable."
Pros: "Gate agents were timely."
Cons: "There was not a wheelchair at the arrival as previously agreed with American. No food on board - just drinks. Boarding took forever."
Pros: "The flight was good. Takeoff and landing were great. Service in flight great."
Cons: "The online safety show didn’t work. They started it several times, then did it in Edson. The overhead reading lights flashed on and off periodically making me a bit concerned about the electricals. Our main piece of luggage was sent on a different flight. It took us over an hour to locate that had happened. We waited at the distribution point. We got one Piecebut not the other. After all we’re taken from the belt we went in search and found it."
Pros: "Terrible customer service."
Cons: "Rude, rude people working at the desks. Saw many people have problems with them, and then they were rude to me as well."
Cons: "The flight from Miami to Sao Paulo was delayed, therefore, I lost the flight from Sao Paulo to Asunción, those from Latam did not give me any solution and they sent me to the people of American Airlines saying it was their fault. I traveled 3 hours through the whole airport and they did not give me any solution, no new flight."
Cons: "While my experience was excellent, I must acknowledge that the practice of charging significantly more for some seats is outrageous. I was happy with the (free) seats I had."
Pros: "The flight was fine once we took off, but we sat on the runway for over two hours before we were able to take off. Also, being expected to pay extra for a seat sucks!"
Cons: "The flight was fine. The selection of films was excellent, lots to choose from including some very recent releases."
Cons: "Nothing."
Pros: "Our flight was delayed somewhat by a service door not completely latched. The plan returned to get it closed, then was promptly airborne. After the delays, the flight actually made it to our destination by our scheduled arrival time."
Pros: "would never have made my connection"
Cons: "late"
Pros: "Nice staff!"
Cons: "Rediculously boarding process! Packed and unorganized."
Pros: "The flight attendants were very quick with requests. Food was good."
Cons: "As always economy could use more leg room. I guess that’s always a complaint unless you spend a small upgrade for better seats."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Food was 100% inedible, I didn’t even bother with the breakfast because the main meal was really really disgusting No in seat entertainment The electrical outlet was not turned in for that section of aircraft"
Pros: "Loved the fact that the pilot frequently spoke to us during the turbulence. Crew was great."
Cons: "Lack of entertainment."
Pros: "Lo siento. No habla ingles. Me muy guapo."
Cons: "No entertainmento."
Pros: "The plain looked brand new. The in-flight selection of movies and games was excellent."
Cons: "Delays"
Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours- weather related, but at other destinations- so this flight had to wait to be rescheduled. Also they weren't able to give any idea when the flight would be boarding- they just kept sending text alerts that it was delayed another half hour and no updates were listed on the screens. When the flight finally left, after I had been waiting for over 5 hours, we were told that they would be flying low, so there would be no beverage service. It would be nice in these situations to simply have bottled water to pass out quickly, or make the announcement prior to boarding so people would be able to bring their own beverages."
Pros: "The boarding was fast, the flight was faster than expected too, crew was very efficient and friendly."
Cons: "Space between seats too small, breakfast not good, too far inside the plane... Not so happy of the company rules : whatever you want to change, it will cost you. I suppose it's the way to keep flights cheap, but it's not fair to pay if when you arrive first, you have to pay to change for another seat... One free luggage of 23 kg when you cross the Atlantic is not enough..."
Pros: "They delayed 5 times and we're never honest about departure time. Then lost my luggage. They told me that I will need to go back.to the airport to pick up the luggage which is unacceptable."
Cons: "See above"
Cons: "The 3 hours delay and your workers giving the same speech " the plane is on its way" and then to make thing worst your Airlines looses my bag"
Pros: "the team was great, boarsing smooth, arrived early"
Cons: "we waited an hour for the bags to arrive on the carousel. What's that about? Get it together and have the bags out in time. We're just sitting here waiting for them over an hour - there are no other arrivals in this terminal. What's going on?"
Cons: "No entertainment. No food. The flight was 2:25 minutes but American Airlines managed to make it take three and a half hours. The tone of staff was closer to prison guards than airline hostesses."
Pros: "Got to my destination on time."
Cons: "Where to start? How about when I checked in at the counter, I asked the check in attendant to add my FF number on my ticket. They said they'll get right to it, handed me my tickets and sent me on my way. It never happened. Not a big deal, I can request the mileage post flight, but still something. Look at my tickets, that I had booked a week in advance and specifically reserved an aisle seat. My ticket says "Priority Verification," whatever that means. Turns out it means you don't have a seat, and you get the worst of the worst. So what seat is the worst? How about the middle seat in a row of 5. The middle in a row of 5, on a transoceanic flight... What kind of airlines has 5 in a row? The guy next to me spent $300 for his ticket, I spent $1200, for the same flight, and this is the kind of seat I get? The plane felt like it was straight out of the 90's, carpeted center walls, old seats, tiny tv's. Overall, a plane that felt had not been updated in decades. Took 20 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to the flight attendant sign. This wasn't during beverage or food service, just a normal time at cruising altitude. They also don't have eye masks. Every other transoceanic flight I've been on has them provided in the seat pocket, American Airlines doesn't even have them on the plane! Economy class has no USB or power outlets, the in flight entertainment is about a 5" screen in probably 260p resolution. Decent selection of movies, but you have to join the movie in progress or wait approx 10 minutes for the next movie to start. Legroom was okay unless you had one of the entertainment boxes in your way, then that takes up 30% of your space. Some of the tray tables do not have cup holders, on the top, bottom, or anywhere on it. Also my table was tilted, so every time I put a cup on it, it slid right off. Seems like a minor complaint, but eating dinner and fighting a sliding cup the whole time is a pain. Dinner and breakfast tasted decent, but you can tell American is cheap on the food. Most airlines will give something like a main course, a bread roll, fruit cup/salad, juice, small dessert. American gives you the main course and a fruit cup and that is all. Crappy utensils too. Overall, if I had paid maybe $200 for the flight, I wouldn't have any room to complain, but because American holds the government carrier contract for FY17, I had to fly on them at exorbitant cost, and would never recommend them to anyone."
Pros: "Flight was smooth and comfortable."
Cons: "I didn't find the crew very friendly and often don't on AA. Boarding was difficult as the agent was difficult to hear/understand."
Pros: "The access ramp lessen the risk of tripping over I've experienced with the steps in the past."
Cons: "Corny jokes from the male cabin crew don't improve the flight in experience, we're crammed in like cattle and given a LTA meal and coffee."
Pros: "Smooth, quick flight!"
Pros: "Small seats, no consideration for disabled travelers. Pretzels suck. One 30 min tv show on 2.5 hour flight. No bathroom for handicap. Cheap airfare is the only reason I fly American. One attendant asked me, with attitude, if I was going to get off the plane...before realizing I can't physically walk. Her face turned white as a ghost when she realized what she had said and how she had said it."
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "Non-stop"
Cons: "No individual video monitors. Poor choice of audio channels."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Having to pay extra $$ for seating and not enough together"
Pros: "Food was surprisingly good. In fight crew was great."
Cons: "Apparently you can make a reservation for a seat and AA is not required to honor it. They told us that you reserve a seat but you get your seat assignment when you check in to your flight. Apparently many people can make a reservation for one seat and the first person to check in gets it. My husband and I were very upset when we found this out. Especially since we went through many hoops to get a good seat assignment."
Cons: "Plane was very warm upon boarding due to issues with auxiliary cooling but informed it would change as engines turned on . I sat in row 20 and it was very cold during flight. Flight attendant inquired about comfort. It improved for about 10 minutes and returned to cold state . Noticed that one attendant put on some kind of jacket due to coldness . Nearby passengers retrieved blankets from their carry on baggage. Glad I had at least a light jacket to throw over me and that my legs were partially covered. Guess it's better to be too cool than too hot. Otherwise. It was s great flight ."
Pros: "I did not like have to stay in a hotel room when I could be sleeping in my room I'm on medication I don't even have my medicine with me because American Airlines had engine trouble in Dallas we went back to the Terminal 3 times before they ever got it fixed slit throat me late getting into Seattle and I missed the flight to Yakima I don't feel that this was my fault I didn't nothing to delay the airplanes and I walked as fast as I could to the terminal on in Seattle so I didn't have such a pleasure to little trip but your airline get put me up in a hotel but it's still not does not change the fact I have my blood pressure medicine and about 10 other medications but my blood pressure is the biggest and I will think twice before I fly Alaska Airlines again"
Pros: "The service was ok"
Cons: "First when I was checking in I didn't know I only can check in 2 baggage so I had 2 baggage and a 32" TV that I couldn't my TV and at Tampa they took my carry on bag because is was full and I didn't wanna do that they wasn't professional so I'm not happy with my trip."
Pros: "Entertainment screens were easy to use and fun. Crew was extraordinarily nice and attentive."
Cons: "Boarded 2 hours late due to the flight crew reaching the maximum amount of hours they can fly by law. American should be more aware of their employees' hours. Seats need better head rests. Menu needs more vegetarian options and the prices need to be lower."
Pros: "I liked crew and ride"
Cons: "Delayed more than 2 hours without promt update on status. Stuff at airport kiosk wasn't friendly. Crew was visually very tired which raised safety questions."
