Pros: A long story short, I had to check my carry-on bag in order to get sealed duty free liquor through the Mexico city airport. I was able to eventually get the bag checked gratis due to the circumstances. It took half a dozen AeroMexico staff to get there, but I did.

Cons: There were two runways in Mexico City and one was under maintenance so it took a long time from the moment we landed to the time we were able to get out of the plane. Then, they took our check-in luggage from the plane and it went through an inspection (bag by bag), so this caused another hour delay. After that they gave us our check-in luggage for us to take it to another location (to another floor) within the airport to be checked-in again. They wanted to charge us $20.00 additional per check-in bag even though they were half of the weight limit. After we complained, they dropped this charge. Due to all the delays we lost our connection and we had to book another flight. Not a good experience. We will never make a stop in Mexico in the future.

There is no coordination, no organization, food and coffee were of poor quality, and it an airline to be avoided at any cost.

When I arrived at the kiosk it did not print a boarding pass, instead a slip stating I had missed my check-in timeframe and head to the front. I went to the front assuming the counter clerk would resolve the issue but she advised that the only thing she could do is book me on the next flight since the flight was over booked. I was really upset about the situation since I had to be at an event at a specific time. Just make sure you check in as soon as you can. If you are having issues on your phone, call the airline or head to the airport about an hour and a half to two hours early to get your boarding pass.

Cons: I couldn’t check in for my flights ahead of time because the check in system from United and Copa airlines didn’t accept my reservation details. My first flight from Sacramento to San Francisco with United was cancelled and I was not informed until I arrived at the gate for check in. United wanted to rebook me on a flight to Los Angeles and Newark which would have been a delay of 10 hours. After security I had to go to the gate of a delayed flight to San Francisco and ask that they put me back on my original itinerary

Cons: The process for vetting those individuals with basic economy tickets is slow, inefficient and seems to make the United employees irritated and less willing to help their guests. While I do not want to see the price go back up, I do think United needs to figure out a way to handle the check-in process for those with basic economy tickets without forcing them to stand in a line with those checking bags. it slows down the check in process for everyone, including those at normal priced fares.

This is not from one experience with Lufthansa / Austrian. I've had this experience many times with every flight I take with these terrible Airlines. I would never fly lifthansa unless it's at least $200 cheaper than any of their competitors.
Pros: I was glad to see that the security check line was moving quickly. Sacramento is usually my go to airport when in northern California because it's so much easier to get to where you need to in a timely fashion too.
Pros: No screens or entertainment on either of my flights, but the crew was very nice.
Pros: First class was nice but I paid for 1st class for the whole flight and only got it on the first leg. They should have told me that when they took my money.
Cons: 2nd leg was terrible it was over an hour and a half late because they had to replace a toilet seat! I paid for an upgrade for first class and they over booked it so I didn't get it and haven't received my money back. Terrible customer service.

Pros: The passengers sitting by me were very helpful. They put my carryon on the overhead rack for departure and arrival. The handicapped attendant was excellent when I arrived in Cancun and stayed with me until my transfer was found.
Cons: I have traveled several times annually with Volaris for at last 13 years and this is the first time the service was so bad, virtually no service was offered at any time. Everything seemed disorganized. No food was offered or even a glass of water. I am 86 years old and travel handicapped all over the world with excellent service. I was shocked that I as dumped in a seat at the Volaris gate from the wheel chair by the attendant; and, who never returned to help me board the plane. I made the mistake of tipping him well. No ramp was available and I had to beg for help with my carryon as I have to hold on with both hands to go up the stairs. Cancun’s attendant for handicapped was much better and truly helped me and stayed with me until my transfer was found. Tijuana’s airport service was horrible.

Cons: Completely disorganized, no consideration for the elderly or infants. ALWAYS LATE! We had to be bussed to our plane and they kept up on the buss for 20 mins with no air It was so bad that one woman fainted on the bus!! Would never recommend this airline and I won’t be flying with them again.

Cons: Volaris's system apparently was malfunctioning that prevented anyone from checking in online or through any app which caused stress the day before travel. Even worse, they couldnt even check in at the gate and had to fill out forms by hand, which caused a 2 hours delay!

Cons: 1. The original flight I purchased was less than $100, Volaris cancelled it and the only flight available for me to purchase was then $150. 2. After I purchased the 2nd flight, I called within seconds because I noticed my mother’s name was on the ticket instead of mine! I had previously purchased her flight and somehow the kayak site had auto populated her name, i know for a fact did I did not type in her name, it is longer Han mine and has a middle name, i don’t even have a middle name. I think it was justfly, the third party who sent the confirmation email, I explained the situation, they took my contact information and since I had just called they would reach out to Volaris to see if they could change it to my name, and would reach back out to me within a few days. They never called/emailed me back. When I called Volaris they charged me a name change fee off $80+... I don’t know if anyone cares about customer service at Kayak, I have been purchasing all my personal flights through Kayak since 2007, this is by far the worse ticketing/airline experience I have ever had. Also, Volaris charged me $10 for my backpack that I store underneath the seat in front of me! They are a terrible airline, that straight out rips people off. This is the last time I fly with them, and probably last time I use Kayak.

Pros: Getting my boarding pass was a hazel and the flight was delayed about an hour and a half. Seats were extremely uncomfortable and they practically didn't recline. Everything on board was sold and nothing was offered complimentary not even a cup of water.
Cons: What could be improved is, being on time. The seats could also be a more comfortable with a bit more legroom, room to recline, and space between people. Seats felt like I was sitting on the other person's lap. A small drink should be complementary.

Pros: Please don't travel with Volaris, extremely old seats I felt like I was seating on a wooden board with some rocks on it. No room leg. You won't get any help from the Staff at check-in. I was charged $10 to print your boarding pass, the machines to print the boarding pass didn't work.
Cons: Volaris need to get new seats. Volaris charge you almost for even breathing, I am not kidding. They ask you to use the machines at the airport to print the boarding pass but their logo is not on this machines that's how they make $10 on each passenger. Bad experience.

Then get an e-mail at 1:45 am the day of my flight which was scheduled for 7 am that the pricing value was incorrect and my booking was canceled. I flew from New York to California where I was going to get a connecting flight the next day but my connecting flight purchase was terminated. I have never experienced this and I was left stranded and unable to get to my destination. I had transportation waiting for me and I had to find out the morning of my flight. All I got was an e-mail stating they tried to reach me but that was a LIE because I did not receive any phone calls. The flight I booked was booked right away so no time elapsed for the price to go up. When I called to complain to the company they were unable to help me and no supervisor or manager was available. I was told to call back in 3 hours for someone to assist me but that I was not going to be able to get on my flight because now, the morning of my flight the price was $200 more then what was advertised when booking. This is unacceptable and unprofessional.

It seems to me that the airline is trying to nickel and dime you in every opportunity they have as they wanted to charge us 50 USD extra as our carry on luggage was under the 22 LB restriction but our backpack added 2 pounds. I have never seen an airline that is weighting each and every passengers backs and purses during the boarding process to see how much more money they can get per flight. Also, I found it kind of funny that after take off the flight attendants were selling the empty seats in the front which didn't had more leg room (not first class) but were just closer to the cabin. You are already charging for sodas, CAN YOU JUST STOP THERE?

Cons: The main problem was that when I checked in online, I tried to add on more piece of luggage—for a total of 2 checked in. But the computer ended up totaling it as 3 pieces of luggage. There seemed to be no way to change this online. So I asked them to change it when I got to the airport, but they wouldn’t. What was done couldn’t be changed. Another issue I have is with this review questionnaire. They are questions for rating the food and entertainment which the airlines don’t provide anymore. These should be removed from the survey. They should, however, ask how was the process of making the reservation, check-in, and customer service in general. Both from the airline, and any third party service like kayak or kiwi. I’m not satisfied with kiwi as they were closed when I tried to call them. So I had to just fend for myself and spend money needlessly.

Cons: Negative legroom, some rows were full others empty, cabin crew couldn't care less about passengers, never even offered me a beverage or food (even though I would have refused due to excessive fees for everything!), most announcements were in Spanish even though the flight originated in San Francisco. The worst part was the seating being so tight I could not put my knees in front of me and I had to endure the entire flight in pain. I would never have been able to get out in an emergency because my legs were twisted like pretzels and they were in cramps with circulation cut off. Why is there no law against passenger abuse like this? Why should I pay extra just to be comfortable for a few hours? I'm 6'4" and not that giant but these seats were sized for children. Cabin crew never tried to reseat me in one of the numerous empty rows yet they allowed others to sleep across the empty rows. They saw how unsettled I was yet ignored me. Why don't they distribute passengers evenly instead of filling some rows and leaving some empty? They charged me $50 to carry on my bag saying "We're not allowed to have carry on bags." Unless I paid $50 and then carry on bags are fine. Checked bags were $30 but with expensive electronics in my bag I was not going to risk it to the baggage handling crew with their knack for destroying bags every day. I will never fly Volaris again, no matter how inexpensive they are.
