Cons: "I am 6’2" and a difficult time with comfort in standard airline seats. Today’s flight with the family taking my assigned seat put me in the last row against the rear wall. Super scrunched for me then to have a very large couple flying non-revenue squash in next to me made it just that much more uncomfortable. I wish if you have kids you would go the extra mile and pre-pick seats like he rest of us .... not a hater people just like courtesy is all."

Cathays customer service is closed on Sunday, and Alaskan customer service said they cannot help me. I arrived 2 hours before my flight from SLC to LAX via Alaskan Airlines, and they were unable to print my boarding pass in time to make my flight. I waited 2 hours in line with other people also leaving at 6am, almost all of us missing our flight.... I am extremely disappointed and would like a refund for this trip. I ended up purchasing another one-way ticket to HKG, and will take the return flight home from Cathay."

As a result many people pulled their bags on and fought and struggled to force their luggage above, only to give up. The on-board agents recognized early the problem and then proceeded to allow many other passengers to stroll by them with their large roll-on bags, only to delay the boarding process and frustrate everyone. When making their safety announcement the flight attendant was clearly competing for fastest speaking human and rushed through at blazing speeds. In all my 30+ years of travel, I’ve never heard anything like it."

After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays."

My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

We took it upon ourselves to get re-booked on United Airlines. The American travel agent was pleasant but we would have been out of luck if we weren't proactive and frequent travelers trying every flight option available. Also, I've never been to an airport where you exit the boarding doors in the terminal then head down stairs to the tarmac to board a bus that make a complete lap of the terminal going near every AA plane obviously trying to figure out which one they need to drop us off at. If can get this close to losing people I now understand how luggage gets lost so often."

She acted like I was stupid and said "well did you turn it down?" Of course I tried that. I was very taken back by how she acted."

Customer service was unhelpful and rude until they found out that the issue was at the fault of united Airlines and not external circumstances."

Then in LA there was an issue with the plane at our gate this added another hour of tarmac time. Cons: "I had a pretty unpleasant experience with Frontier on 12/21/15. Rain in San Francisco caused flight delays. Go figure. Frontier kept us waiting for six hours then cancelled the flight. They were rude; they didn't help their customers, including families with kids, get on other airlines; said they would try to getpeople out of SFO in the next couple days! When I realized I would not get to the wedding I was trying to attend, they siad they wouldn't refund my money' When I insistedon a refund they then said there would be a $19.99 cancellation fee. Eventually, they agreed on a refund. Pretty poor way to run a business. On the other hand, when I needed to cancel my Enterprise car rental, I was able to do it in less than two minutes over the phone - no hassle."

Cons: "It is incredibly dishonest to not include the 40$ fee to carry on any bag, and 13-20$ fee to choose a seat, bringing up a 60$ per flight leg additional cost. That means roundtrip tickets can easily be 100$ more expensive than listed, making other, more reputable airlines actually cheaper. Not to mention they do not take electronic tickets like every other airline, and when the flight was delayed, I went to have my ticket printed and no one was staffing the desk and no automated kiosks were available. I managed to flag someone down and they wanted to refuse to print me one because "my flight was listed as earlier" despite me being emailed by them that the flight was delayed. I eventually got to my destination, but I will never book a flight with them again. Let's not even mention charging for water, the plastic seats on the plane, etc. Terrible airline."

It started with a 30 minute delay and turned to a 120 minute delay on the monitor without any announcement. The only announcement they made is that they would only be assisting certain passengers with connecting flights. The flight left over three hours after the original departure time. The desk associates assisting other passengers had poor attitudes and communication skills. Also, $90 (round trip) for a carry on is absolutely ridiculous."

Then had to pay for a seat even after paying for a ticket. That should be illegal. They aren't clear about seat fees up front. A ticket doesn't get you a place to sit on the plane?!? Come on."

He just told us I'm sorry. When we found a flight we asked if we could get a refund on the ticket going to Orlando and use the return ticket for coming back. He verified I had a ticket for return. Ended up that I did not have one and had to pay more for the ticket, to get back. On our way back to Salt Lake from Denver, we were delayed because the crew was not there. Once they got there, they complained during the flight about working a lot of hours on Thanksgiving. I would not recommend this airline to others. It was a terrible experience. Just not professional all the way around."
