Flight delayed from 9pm to 2am to 4am
We did have a minor delay, but besides that everything went smoothly.
Pros: "Boarding was smooth. Extra legroom sets were way nice!"

Cons: "You have to pay for a reclining seat, only the first theee rows have them. You have to pay for even soda drinks. Ok for shorter commutes, but a 4+ hour flight is miserable."

Cons: "Not worth saving a couple dollars. Front tier airlines does not allow you to pick your seats before hand nor does it allow you to select baggage and the app, it is recessed for whatever reason. The seats are extremely tiny the tree table is so small you can barely fit an English muffin on it. There is no entertainment whatsoever, there is no Internet on the plane, and if you want anything to eat or drink besides water you will be paying for it. I’m sorry to say but flying on frontier was more like a punishment for me. I always fly American and wanted to save a few dollars what a mistake! With American most the planes that I have flown in have free movie entertainment and everybody seat the seats are comfortable And recline. And the snacks are free along with the soda. Please think twice before flying frontier."

Cons: "Sat on the tarmac for over 3 hours. A fight broke loose and we had to return to the terminal and then back to the tarmac for more sitting. The crew finally figured out how uncomfortable and frustrated people were getting 2.5 hours to sitting with no air on the tarmac. They relieved their customers suffering then with complimentary water! Now that’s service. Frontier is one of the most base airlines out there. I’m entirely frustrated that they are one of the only airlines that service our podunk airport."

Cons: "Please forward this to everyone you know! Do NOT EVER fly on Frontier Airlines!!!!!! They are a total joke and charge fees for EVERYTHING!!!!! Want to carry on a bag or push everything you need into a small backpack? Oh, need to take clothes? Well that's $40...per carry on, $60+ at the airport. Oh, you wanted to sit down? That will cost you...$10 per seat minimum, again more at the airport. Btw, those fees only cover one leg of the trip. You can save by leaving your luggage there. See how helpful we are? You think you are getting a good fare but the fees have made my trip almost three times the initial fare. United is testing similar "economy" fares. None of this information is presented upfront so it's a bait and switch scenario. Also, trying to reach a human being is nearly impossible. I feel sorry for the customer service reps, they should get hazard pay. They have to try to justify these ridiculous policies. Save yourself money and frustration and NEVER FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES!!!!!!!"
Pros: "Before our trip, I read some mixed reviews, but honestly the experience was what I expected. The crew was really friendly and attentive, our flight took off and landed on time, so that was great."
Cons: "The seats were only so comfortable, and don't recline, no in-flight wi-fi, and everything needed to be purchased as extra. This was what I was expecting though, so I came prepared with my kindle and snacks purchased from the airport."

Pros: "The baggage claim girl in Atlanta was Wonderful she was very pleasant to me and my boyfriend and expressed a genuine concern about my unfortunate circumstance. Mariah (Frontire baggage claim girl) did everything she could to make sure I got my Bag back and called as soon as it arrived Thanks Mariah !!!!"
Cons: "They lost my bags I was flying to Atlanta from Phoenix and my bag ended up in St Louis ... i would assume that if your going to make me pay for my checked bag it would atleast make it to the correct destination. The crew wasn't as pleasant and friendly as I'd like them to be but did there jobs (I guess) then we had to sit and wait for a gate .... the only reason why a gate finally opened up was because people started asking for snacks. Overall there was nothing special about this flight I was upset that I didn't have my luggage from the beggening of my trip but the day before I left my bag was recovered . The ticket was inexpensive but I'm not sure if it was worth the hasstle Then I had to pay for my bags coming back as well. Suggestion maybe have a 50% voucher ad a courtesy from sending a bag to the wrong destination."

Pros: "Likely the most uncomfortable plane I've ever been on. Seats feature zero padding, the inability to recline, and a tray table the size of a DVD case. I'm 5' 9" 148 pounds, young and very healthy. I left the plane with a twisted up neck like I've never had before. I landed safely so I MUST be thankful for that, but if I was booking I would want to know this information. Since I'm the wiser now I will not book with Frontier again. Also it was an extra $90 for my CARRY ON round trip. It notified me it would be extra when I booked online but didn't specify how much. What a surprise. I spent more on the fees for the bag than I spent on the bag itself (and most of the contents for that matter)."

Cons: "I was given a boarding pass that had the wrong boarding gate.I was boarding the flight from sky harbor Phoenix to AtlantaI. I almost missed my flight and nobody told the passengers the gates had been changed. I did not like that and felt disrespected. Yet I had paid for the flight."
Pros: "Not much to like other than the cost of the ticket, they kept us unmoving on the runway for almost an hour, before taking off, boarding was at 2:50 pm, flight was supposed to be 3:25 pm, we didn't actually take off till 4:15, scheduled arrival was at 9 pm, and we arrived 9:20, and weren't able to deplane till 9:35, and ended up standing around baggage claim for over thirty mins waiting for our luggage, frontier might have some good ticket prices, but next time I'm willing to pay more, if it means better service"

Cons: "My stay was short so I didn't need to check a carry-on or bag. Had I needed that service I would NOT have chosen Frontier - I seriously object to having to pay extra for an item that is not an "extra" - who travels without some type of luggage?? Just charge the cost up front and be transparent - it is difficult to determine exactly what your flight is going to cost you - which is exactly why I don't normally fly Frontier!"
Cons: "Will not use frontier again, I had no idea they didn't cover even a carry on. Also, couldn't lay my head down on the tray in front of me on the plane, it was way too short and way too low."
Pros: "The seats were surprisingly comfertable! And I really enjoyed having more personal space in front of me! No other airline have seating like Frontier! I flew United in to Colorado and it really felt like sardines with Frontier I didn't and both flights where full!"

Cons: "My gate number to board changed 3 times within 1 hour, which may not be Fronteirs fault. Uncomfortable seats that don't lean back. No entertainment. Food and snacks cost money, no complimentary food/drink except water. Cost money for carry-on bag. No puke bags in the seats. They nickel and dime you for everything, but it's worth it if you travel light and don't care about the little things. I was surprisingly pleasantly surprised."
Cons: "Our flight was oversold. They bumped 27 people do to a "downgrade" of the flight to a smaller plane. This meant they avoid full compensation do to FAA rules. Got bumped 24 hours because Frontier does not partner with other airlines. Despite never having been given a seat assignment they didn't standby tag my checked luggage and sent it ahead so I had to stay an extra night without a change of clothes, etc. Next day the flight was oversold again and they bumped another 25 people. Every flight this trip left and arrived late. The pilot explained that the baggage handlers were in a contract dispute with management as they were overworked and underpaid. As a result they were also short staffed. Saw many miss connecting flights as a result. I will never fly Frontier again."
Cons: "My flight was delayed from Denver to SLC and we were not notified, given any other option or any compensation. The previous three (3) times I've flown frontier I have had flights cancelled and received no compensation. Do you know how frustrating that is?"
Cons: "Tried to cancel this flight using the flight insurance I was up sold during checkout. Turns out that the flight insurance was only available for international flights? When I ask the agent why it was the recommended during purchase, she said I should have read the full terms and conditions during checkout. To me, this was a true scam. She told me that I could appeal the conditions of the travel insurance, but I would have to present a death certificate of the friend's baby that had just passed - the reason the baby shower was cancelled, and the reason this trip was cancelled. It was appalling. I tried calling Frontier directly, but their reservation desk was closed due to their system being down. HOURS I tried to call, and could not get a rep. I ended up not able to cancel the flight or even speak w a Frontier rep before my flight departed. In all, I was given 6 different numbers or lines to call to sort through this situation. All I did was waste hours of my time. This was a terrible situation where I feel like I was the victim of a scam."

Cons: "First I was told my flight would be delayed a couple of hours due to weather in Memphis When I get to the gate, I'm told it's a five hour delay due to a mechanical problem that later explained as a non functioning beacon light. Honestly .....five hours for a light bulb. When we finally arrive in Phoenix we are held up on the runway due to backed up traffic. I recognize that's not the airlines fault. Then a plane is sitting at our gate and can't leave due to a broken tray table. Lame excuses"
Pros: "I did like the price a lot, the flight was cheaper than any other when flying across the country."
Cons: "My flight was an hour late departing, causing panic at the layover spot for several guests because their flights were waiting just for them. The first flight I wasn't asked for food or drink or anything. The seats weren't as cushioned as any of the other airlines I've flown and paying $25-$30 for a bag is quite a bit."

Cons: "The charge for a drink, other than water. Also the amount of crying babies on the flight, which Frontier had no control over."
Cons: "While I am thankful that we made it back to the airport after some mechanical issues. I called Frontier and ask them to get me on a different flight that night or first thing the next morning. They would not help me. They kept telling me I had to talk to the agents in the terminal. There were 200 other people standing in line waiting to be helped. They offered no alternative. Wouldn't even book me with another airline to get me to my destination. The best Frontier customer service on the phone would do was changed my flight to Saturday night. Which did not good since I was coming back from my trip on Sunday."

We had to change gates which means we had to go through security twice. The staff blamed everyone and everything else (even the passengers) for all the issues and took ZERO responsibility for anything. I can't believe they are still in business with this level of customer service. The flight attendants were ghetto too. Making light of a bad situation by saying the worst things possible. Total embarasment transfer. I'll never fly Frontier again and will think twice about booking travel with Kayak."

Cons: "Flight 1884 out of SFO was doomed from the beginning starting with a notice (thanks Kayak) via email that the flight would be 1 hour late. Then, the Departure board at the airport totally dropped the flight, Then (again thru Kayak) I read that the flight would NOT board in terminal 1, Gate 21, Domestic terminal, but ar gate A3 in the International terminal. We all had to exit domestic and go to international and again through TSA. Then the flight departed another 30 minutes late finally over 2 hours LATE! Upon arrival at Phoenix the plane taxied too far away from the exit ramp-another 40 minutes before we could depart. It was an awful flight experience. Did they offer a free soda or anything for inconvenience we experienced-NOT A THING!"

Also, they charged me to pick a seat, ANY seat, so what the hell am I paying for when I pay for a flight?! I also had to put my backpack under my seat, even though it was stated numerous times on their website that it would be too big, and I had to pay $40 to make it a carry-on, when there was no room in the overhead bins. Their customer service line AND website stated I could be charged up to DOUBLE that ($80) if I had to pay for it at the gate. I looked it up, and I would have payed less on at least two other carriers because of the extra charges. This is information that should CLEARLY be stated when listing the costs of a flight, not "covered" under "additional costs may apply" or some such legalese"

If I buy a plane ticket, that price is what I am expecting to pay. I understand a few charges here and there, but more than double what I expected to pay is completely crooked and terrible business. The plane ride was bare bones, uncomfortable seats, and average service. We will never be flying Frontier again."

Everyone involved—from the gate attendant to customer service—has an impatient, condescending response about how these policy was made clear at the time of purchase. They are obviously very well practiced at explaining their ostensibly clear policies to throngs of ignorant masses who somehow didn't understand them when they purchased their ticket. In fact, their speech is so well rehearsed that you'd almost—almost!—start to question if they have actually made their baggage policies as clear as they think."

Pros: "The shining spot of this flight was the witty flight attendant who cracked jokes during the preflight safety announcements. It got the whole cabin laughing."
Cons: "To start the flight was overbooked and they needed several volunteers to stay behind for an alternate flight and there were many passengers upset with this. After we finally boarded we were already 30 minutes late, then sat at the gate another 20 minutes before being pushed back. We then sat in line almost 1 1/2 hours for our turn for deicing and it looked like several other flights got to jump in front of us. After that was done there was a malfunction with some navigation equipment and we had to restart the plane. This did not solve the problem so we had to go back to the gate for a technician to come look at it. We sat there another hour until the problem was resolved. We then had to go through deicing again and finally got to take off over 3 hours late. We should have already landed in our destination by the time we finally took off. At least the captain decided to let us all have complimentary snacks and drinks (which normally don’t come with the flight) because of the long delay. While the flight was less expensive than others, the expensive checked bag fees ($52 each) almost negates the savings compared to other airlines. I’m not sure I will fly this airline again."

You first of all are REQUIRED to create an account with them so they can send you advertisements that you don't want cluttering up your mailbox. Second of all you have to pay an extra $10-20 if you want a seat. Furthermore, you have to pay extra for a carry-on. That's ridiculous! The flight was also delayed two hours, so I had to sit around the airport for 4 hours! When you finally board, the leg room is pathetic. I barely had room to fit my legs in with one small handbag! They also make you pay for in-flight refreshments. This is one of the worst flying experiences I have ever had. I am never flying Spirit again!"

Too many surprises with the extra expenses such as the seating charge, the baggage fees (especially the 40 pound limit on check in baggage which was new to me), the extra fees for not completing tasks online. I decided to check the status today instead of waiting in the airport for four hours and yes--- again it was delayed one hour and then two hours. so I planed accordingly and planned to be at the airport 1.5 hours ahead of the revised flight time. then they changed the flight time again and now I've missed my flight. this airline is absolutely the worst and I have flown domestically and internationally for over 35 years. My flight which started at $73 landed up being 157. Further more, flight was late taking off, on the return there was only one lavatory in flight because the other "was not working", bumpy ride and very bumpy landing, using in flight sales and incentives to sell a credit card with collaboration with Bank of America. There is such a complete absence of transparency that I don't hesitate to say, they are cheating Kayak customers and you should not allow them to advertise since it is not fair competition. Help us compare apples with apples."

Cons: "$100 to check my bag each way (it was just over the weigh limit of 50 or else it would have been $75. My bag was heavy so I get charging extra-prices just seemed a little high. Once we got to gate, the whole vibe and staff changed. Everyone just seemed stressed and grumpy and rushed. We didn't get one smile from any staff member. The positive is that when we got to gate, another flight was arriving and i figured it would take awhile but they had us back on quickly. Downside, I went to get a book and charge my phone and I heard "last call for Phoenix, doors closing" so my daughter and I grabbed our stuff and ran. When we got there, the door was open and they were letting last passenger in. We ran to door and he said "the door is closed, you can't get on. Next flight is tomorrow. I missed it." I answered, "I'm looking at the door and there is someone standing there and going in. It isn't closed." And we argued for a minute or two while someone was holding the door open that I was told was closed. I apologized for missing announcement and said "it was a very quick turnaround. I had no idea you were that fast and it is my fault...but the door is clearly not closed as I am looking at it." The gentlemen standing there holding the door open with the other passenger then closed the door and went In. He did shortly after that let us on but there wasn't one smile anywhere from gate through people we encountered on walkway to the 3 flight attendants we saw as we boarded. We ended up sitting on the ground for 45 minutes before taking off and then I never saw a flight attendant again until we got off flight. They weren't walking aisles. We didn't get a beverage for our two hour flight. They did at one point in the intercom brag about the fastest turnaround time and least in ground time of any airline. I think that goal, though, is being reached at the expense of the customer experience. And what difference does it make if we had plane back out to runway in 15 minutes if everyone was mad and stressed and then we sat for 45 minutes (maybe I'm exaggerating because I'm mad but it was at least 30). I'd prefer an extra 5 to 15 minutes if everyone seemed to be enjoying their jobs and were more concerned about the full experience and not just the record turnaround times!! I like the idea but the implementation seemed too tress ful to make it worth it."

Cons: "First, the gate swited twice. Flight was delayed 30 minutes. Plus, I paid to sit in the 4th row, but the 3rd row was empty. So, the flight attendant let people who didn't pay extra for those seats, move all the up from the back of plane. Seriously? Why did I have to pay then? Should I then be entitled to a refund since other people sat there for free?"

Pros: "The flight was wonderful. My seat was comfortable. Flt crew was very good."
Cons: "They charged $110 for golf clubs and a small suitcase. My flight was going to be on time but the decided to give that plane to the people heading to Vegas because they had been delayed all morning. Spirit told us we would be delayed four hours, then 30 minutes later they said the flight was completely cancelled. I had to go back to the main terminal to pick up my bags and had to go to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter to rebook and get a refund. The line was so long and slow it would have taken hours to talk to someone from Spirit. I called Customer Service and was on hold for 50 minutes before I could finally get refunded. This made me miss the last Spring Training game in AZ! I've been flying for 35 years and this was the worst flying experience in my life!"
Pros: "Nothing. Flight was cancelled. That was just the beginning of a travel nightmare. I can't believe Kayak compromises their reputation by representing a shoddy, sham of a business like Spirit."
Cons: "Cancelled flight at the very last minute because of lack of crew. Not enough staff to accommodate travellers trying to rebook flights. Inept and apathetic staff who were obviously resigned to the fact that Spirit is a substandard airline There was miscommunication and lack of communication in organizing travelers which caused multiple altercations between upset travelers. It was a very disturbing experience. My rebooking took an hour because the staff member didn't know how to rebook! The 'Supervisor' who was at the next desk, was SLOWLY checking bags for other customers and did not help AT ALL. I suggested that he switch places with my agent. He ignored me competely. Attempts to call Spirit resulted in multiple auto transfers and ultimately an intentional auto cut off. I was rebooked on United. When I checked in at their desk, they told me that all the other transferred Spirit customers before me had been sent back to the Spirit Desk because their transfers had not gone through. I have been warned about Spirit. Now I would warn anyone considering Spirit. If it goes right, you're ok. If not, get ready for a travel nightmare. No one needs this kind of abuse."
Cons: "I don't fly Spirit that much but what I saw looked good, on time at both stops and I especially liked getting on board early as opposed to waiting until 15 minutes before the plane takes off. What I didn't care for, but what I now understand is all the extra specific charges they continue to bombard you with are really charges you don't need. Bottom line for me is that I think I spent more money because I purchased other things and the final price that I paid was MORE then my the conventional favored airline! I will fly Spirit in the future."
Pros: "2 of the flight attendants had a good sense of humor."
Cons: "Flying from Denver to Phoenix, our flight was delayed by 2 hours due to problems with the sanitation system. Flying back home, our flight was delayed 3 hours due to electrical problems! It appears to me they do not keep up with regular mtce. on their planes, as that seems extremely poor. This was the first and LAST time I will fly on Spirit."
Cons: "Having to figure out on my own to check bags days before so I wouldn't get charged a ridiculous amount when I arrived. Wasn't allowed a carry on for free. Be sure to print your boarding pass a day ahead of time or they will even charge you for that! Fly name brand airlines, it will cost the same on the end if not less."
Cons: "Flight delay of three hours was not quick about letting passengers know. Checked bags and carry on bags cost over 50 each. The weight limit was 40 lbs not 50 which was an additional 25 dollars at minimum. Flew with spirit for a discounted flight rate will not fly again because after all the money for bags it cost more than delta which has free bags and complimentary snacks and drinks"
Cons: "We paid $50 to check my wife's bag and they lost it! They also charge you $55 for a carry-on bag. We are only in Arizona for four days and it had everything important in it for us and our baby. The sad thing is that my smaller checked bag was shipped properly but we had nothing important in it. If they hadn't lost our luggage I think my review would be a lot different or our experience would be much better."

Cons: "I did not like the extremely high bag prices and seat prices - outrageous. I have always assumed that when you buy a ticket it entitles you to a seat on the plane. I guess not any more. I had to pay $14 each way. That is just wrong!!! There were a few free seats, but very few and they were taken.. This airline brags about their low ticket prices. They are much higher when you add all the other charges in. I will not travel on this airline again. It is sad how everything is all about gouging the customer for as much money as they can."
Cons: "I missed that my airfare would not include paying additional for carry on luggage."
Cons: "Tickets are cheap but airline doesn't tell you of all the hidden fees like luggage fee seats etc. Plane had several empty seats yet flight attended didn't let people switch seats."
