Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Everything was fine except the fact that our flight was rescheduled on 24 hours earlier than the original one. It was extremely inconvenient."
Cons: "When the airline interrupts your trip last minute and passengers are trying hard to adjust their plans it would be nice to have a little appreciation from the airline team. And they do not have to be rude to people who are asking to explain the reason of the changes."
Pros: "excellent crew, food entertainment and seats"
Cons: "They were the best among the airlines I ever used"
Pros: "Horrible service, airline left passengers completely stranded after missing connection due to delay"
Cons: "Minimally caring about their customers doesn't seem too unreasonable an expectation, and yet no Turkish airline employee could be bothered to help."
Cons: "Our first flight got delayed from lax and we missed our connection flight and they wouldn’t let us go on the next flight and instead we had to wait about 7 hours for the next flight!!! Also we got really bad seats on the other flight"
Cons: "Delay of 1 hour, waited on the plain extra hour."
Cons: "Transfer from one plane to the gate"
Pros: "Got an exit row window seat."
Pros: "Roominess of the business class seat and cabin, they provide a good seat and comfort is good for medium haul flights"
Cons: "The food, Turkish airlines dish up the same stuff all the time, lack of selection and in getting tired of it. Very middle-eastern fare"
Pros: "Nice seat, good choice of entrainment, great food"
Cons: "That they offloaded my baggage and didn't tell me. I didn't have my stuff for 2 days."
Pros: "Great staff on board!"
Cons: "Crew was not speaking English at all in the business Class crew was paying attention to certain people Asked few time for service"
Pros: "The flight attendants are always helpful and very nice!"
Cons: "I have been flying Turkish Air quite a bit since 2011. I have noticed that on some shorter flights they are using newer planes with a bit more leg room, but on their longer flights (Like the one I take quite a bit from Los Angeles-Istanbul) they are using older planes that are horrific for anyone over 6' tall. I can't even sit in the seat without my legs jamming against the seat in front of me, and when the recline, I have to sit sideways. They are also very small sideways. I am a big guy, but not overweight, and barely fit in the seats. Their seats are definitely getting worse since I started and they ended their economy plus seat option, which at least gave you an option, for a couple hundred dollars more, you could have a nice seat. This is of course to make more money and jam more people on their planes without caring at all for the passengers comfort when you are flying, and it makes those long 12-14 hour flights miserable! Also, the planes are very hot when you board, which can be very uncomfortable, and they no longer give you a hot towel (As they used to) until the plane has taken off. They also do not serve a 1st beverage right away after take off (10,000'). Your first beverage is with the first meal, and then you are not served anything again until the second meal, whereas most other airlines serve drinks throughout the flight. SO you fly for 12 hours with 2 service times and no offers of drinks, snacks, etc. during the flight."
Pros: "Great food, comfortable seats. I didn’t go business class, but tbh I think flyin business class this route is a waste."
Cons: "Having to stop over in Bishkek and deplane before going on to Mongolia. Why do we have to go through security again when we’re getting onto the same plane with the same items?"
Pros: "To be honest nothing really."
Cons: "Quality of service and quality of plane. Seems most of the flight attendants could care less about the flight passengers."
Pros: "I really enjoyed the food and the entertainment. this was the best international flight I have taken so far."
Cons: "check in time was to long."
Cons: "I didn’t like being in a middle seat"
Pros: "Turkish Airlins is so wonderful, and I really appreciate being treated like a human being at IST (unlike Schipol, De Gaulle, other airports to connect at around Europe)."
Pros: "Flight was very comfortable and food was amazing Thanks to chef and pilot. Everything was good If I get good price again I will definitely fly with Turkish all the time :)"
Cons: "The sounds of air was to much. I could hear the air outside and was bothering me."
Pros: "Easy boarding"
Cons: "9 hours layover in Istanbul was too long ."
Pros: "Feeding and taking good care of passeger by giving out naccessary information promptly . Thank you again."
Pros: "The Airport and shopping"
Cons: "the flight from Cairo to Egypt was extremely bad . I understand that the relationship between both countries is not at its best. However, this is not an excuse for racist and bigoted behavior from You staff , the plane was 2 hours late, the staff was literally yelling at the passengers because they were standing at the gate assigned to the ticket. And your plane crew was extremely rude, this one flight attendant frowned at my wife's face and starting sanitizing her hand after my wife gave her ticket."
Pros: "EVERYTHING !!!!"
Cons: "NOTHING TO UNLIKE"
Pros: "Good food, comfortable seat, good timing."
Cons: "Some confusion amongst passengers about their seating."
Pros: "Everything was great!"
Pros: "Best flight I had ever seen on the earth"
Pros: "Price price and price"
Cons: "They should serve Asian food for asian flights"
Pros: "Will definitely fly Turkish Airlines again."
Pros: "The comfort of the seats, entertainment, & food were great as always. The only Turkish Airlines flight I had during this trip that was not delayed, however needed to be due to the previous flight. The crew did hold the flight for all of us from the delayed flight from Athens."
Cons: "An elderly woman was booked in a window seat and she insisted she take my aisle seat without any additional available aisle seats. However, this would be better handled when she requested for assistance during her booking process. The crew should've anticipate her needs and booked an aisle seat, or even be the ones to ask me or another passenger if I would be willing to trade. I was placed on the spot and no courtesy was shown to me. My legs were completely swollen and in pain because I wasn't able to stand periodically. I too booked my flight early and requested my seats appropriately for my health needs."
Pros: "upon checkin I received a seat w extra legroom for both flights"
Pros: "The crew was very attentive and the food is amazing"
Cons: "After the second hour the temperature inside the aircraft was very warm started to sweat"
Cons: "The lateness of flights"
Pros: "Great experience whether I was going or coming. I loved it."
Cons: "Waiting on the tarmac for the bus to shuttle us to the terminal. The limitation on carrying my laptop into the cabin. Having to check such expensive, delicate equipment under the airplane where baggage handlers couldn't care less about how they manhandle the luggage sucked."
Pros: "The attentiveness of staff."
Cons: "The video screens did not work. Our seats were changed at the last minute without any indication to why."
Pros: "Very friendly airline, on time always, good in-flight entertainment¿"
Pros: "we arrived on time, as scheduled."
Cons: "I missed my flight and the customer service was so poor that I even missed the last flight of the day, and spent money for the hotel. They wouldn't issue me a hotel voucher."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing, because it never happened."
Cons: "I don't like the fact that I'm stuck in a hotel in turkey without an inkling of when my flight will take off or if it will even take off. I was sent from desk to desk and everyone I spoke with said the same thing, "I don't know" , To every singlee question I had. I slept In the airport like a homeless person just to be shuttled around turkey afterwards in search of a hotel, and I say search because the shuttle that was provided went to 2 different hotels before we got to the one I'm in now. I'm disgusted, and afraid I won't even get a flight out of here."
Cons: "Worst wheel chair service"
Pros: "Food and entertainment options are good"
Pros: "Excellent service, food and entertainment."
Cons: "The boarding was long and via buses!"
Pros: "As good as long flights can be."
Cons: "They did not board in priority and my sweet was double booked there was another passenger who had the same set number placing me now in the middle and I specifically asked for an aisle seat"
Pros: "The sevicewas great! i liked their food. It was very fresh and testy. The tv screen had a lots of great movies. I enjoyed my flight. Thanks"
Pros: "TK is terribte during the Turkey coup attempt"
Pros: "Food is phenomenal . Seat are so much more comfortable then delta, and I fly a lot overseas , where flights are 8h minimum , so it is a very important factor. Flight departed and arrived exacted at time schedule, and of course not to mention that the prices are good for their flights"
Cons: "The only thing I would say that it could be improved is that they leave you food tray on your laps for a lot longer that needed."
Pros: "For such a long flight, I appreciate the airline's consistent service and determination to make sure everything was pleasant as possible. By the way, it was an 11 hour flight to Atlanta. I have no regrets on choosing Turkish airlines for my trip and I look forward to my remaining trips with this airline."
Cons: "I do not believe it was the fault of the airline, but I was unable to access Wi-Fi at Ataturk Intl. Airport."
Pros: "This is a 12 hour flight - but we have no complaints whatsoever - by far our best experience and we have flown all of the big mid-east airlines."
Cons: "The entertainment system was a bit dated, touch screen did not work well. The leg-room was tight but I am of average height. Would have been tough for someone over 6ft."
Pros: "Ecellent food, service on board, on time departures,"
Cons: "Huge Plane and only 3 WC"
Pros: "From the first person I met (the man who printed my boarding pass at the counter) to the crew on board each flight, I was very impressed with the people at Turkish Airlines :) Everyone was very pleasant and helpful, and made my trip enjoyable."
