To make this all worse, I had to suffer through all of this discomfort for over an hour for a 25 minute flight."

I brought this to the attention of Kayak/Aeromexico and the flight appeared to changed for our entire party of six. When we arrived to depart from Akron-Canton there were MAJOR issues with Delta acknowledging the change on their end. We waited at check-in for an hour and half before this was resolved. This also happened when we left Cancun and almost missed our flight. Our daughter also had to put on stand-by in Atlanta due to this fiasco. We spent another two hours working with Delta customer service trying to get her a seat on our flight back to Akron-Canton. Had we not been to Cancun airport extra early AND had our flight delayed in Atlanta we would have missed both flights. This was without a doubt the worse experience we have ever had!! It should have been caught and resolved before I ever had to get involved. I am very disappointed and unhappy with the service offered for the tickets we purchased. This was extremely stressful for my wife and kids and tarnished our vacation. This was totally and completely avoidable!!! You can and should do better to service your customers!!"

I would recommend that they first see if there is an earlier initial flight that the customer could make, then look at finding later connecting flights. We found out about delay 8 hours prior, so we had plenty of time to get to the airport earlier. Total delay required me to take additional day off of work."

My miles are now lost as the entire round trip ticket was cancelled and I have no way to regain all those miles that I wasted. It was the first time Delta did not come through for me and I must say, it's left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I couldn't believe that there isn't some provision (there is if I had paid for my ticket) and have lost all those miles that I use to fly Delta. So much for customer service."

Why couldn't the first gate agent say that instead of giving me the runaround and wasting my time???"

They made Lufthansa seating a Cadillac by comparison. The tall guy behind me's feet stick out between my feet because he literally had no where else to put them. It's as if they tried to make the plane as uncomfortable as possible. I've flown across the Atlantic in a military transport on nylon webbing seats that were far less painful. There's a fee for baggage, even carry-ons, and for everything in the cabin, including water. The fares aren't cheap either, but I had to get to OKC for the weekend and American and Southwest were fully booked. Only Frontier had seats available, and now I know why. If it's too expensive for you to fly a decent plane, Frontier, just shut it down and save the traveling public a lot of aggravation and discomfort. if it's a choice between Frontier and the bus, take the bus!"

I called customer service, explained the situation and was told I had to pay $99 in order to be placed on the next available flight. I asked why this fee couldn't be waived due to me being a passenger in the uber and not the driver, and I was told I needed a police report. I've never been more frustrated with an airline than I was with Frontier. Here I was, trying to catch my flight, involved in an accident that I couldn't prevent and was now being told I needed documentation to have this fee waived."

To reach my destination in time, a separate one-way ticket had to be purchased at an alternative near by airport. Cons: "I got an email at 8am saying my flight could be delayed but should show up on time. My flight was at 4:55pm so great start there. So I show up an hour and a half ahead of boarding, which is on the latter side for me. Security lines weren't very long, they just took their time which wasted everyone else's. I get through that line, look at the departure board - wait IT'S ON TIME?! They start boarding soon if it's on time and it's a further gate so I run down there and guess what? Delayed an hour. Okay, that's fine. Go grab something to eat, come back, settle in for a little bit, board - on my sweet way. Go grab some food quickly, come back - another hour delay? What the heck? I must've missed an announcement. Guess I should plug in my phone for the wait, I expected to meet some friends and potential clients layer that night, communication is key. I misplaced my charger, no big deal just went and got one of those power rods (highly recommend) and come back - ANOTHER HOUR?! That's pretty insane. One of my friends flying from Dallas that departed at 7:30 could be up in the air before I am. Step aside, give him a call to update, call potential clients letting them know I will be delayed getting there. No issue. Turn around - my goodness well what do you know, another hour! At this rate I call my hotel, because I can't lose my reservation if I can't check in on time. Hotel was the waterfront crowne plaza (another highly recommended item in this review by me). I plant in my seat, set my roots, meet a few nice people. Figuring I'd kill some time by meeting some great people. Met a family from Detroit and got some awesome food recommendations. Randomly over the speaker - we have another delay - another HOUR delay. Well this is just turning into a horror story, will I ever get there? Should I request a new flight? My buddy in Dallas departed 3+ hours after I was supposed to, and was up in the air already (he landed before me too). At this rate I cancel my meeting. We board, we take off, we land. Woman sitting next to me was nice. Plane didn't crash. Just landed in Detroit about 7+ hours later than expected. All in all, don't take spirit. Looking at prices they are the cheapest, not by a huge margin though. Pay the extra 70 or so dollars to take another airline. Even if it's $150 dollars more, take the other airline. They want to charge you 65 dollars for a carry-on. Their website was created by a 12 year old. Simply getting your boarding pass includes cross and up sells that make the process 10x more frustrating, especially when you know what you're dealing with on the second flight back. (By the way spirit if you can read this I'm a consultant for advertising, digital media, and UI for e-commerce - I can help you with your terrible website and the offers that come along with it) Just take the other airline, any other. It won't save you money most likely, but it will save you a lot of headaches, time, and embarrassment."

Cons: "The flight was delayed 2 hours for "weather" even though we were going from Las Vegas to Dallas TX and there was no weather problems preventing other airlines from departure... I had a connecting flight which my layover was originally set for Detroit but it was switched to Dallas last minute... the seats were dirty and filled with food and debris from previous passengers, I had to wipe off my seat before I sat down... I think of all the flight attendants on my first flight only one was pleasant and professional as a flight attendant is expected to be... the 2nd flight was a little smoother in the since that the flight attendants were warm and welcoming however After a long day of traveling and flight delays I wanted to rest and I immediately noticed the seats did not recline not even a little, and the tray tables were the size of an iPad mini... it was very hard to get even a little comfortable for the almost 5 hour flight.. it was very uncomfortable.... then there's the baggage fee. $57 for a carry on I would rather pay the extra $57 to fly with a better airline... and to get to the airport and be told that they only accept cards for baggage fee no cash... who doesn't accept cash?? Especially in a place like Vegas. It was unbelievable.. but they conveniently had atm like machines that can turn your cash to card for a $5 fee.... it seems like they advertise the airline to be less expensive than others but in reality they're not!! They nickel and dime you with all of these fees to the point that you eventually end up paying the same price it would cost for a better airline only difference is you pay the same price and still get crappy service... I would never Spirit again. That was my first and last time, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone else."
Cons: "On the flight back, my flight was delayed several times, creating a problem for me with someone being available to pick me up upon arrival! This was due to the timing of the incoming flight. I will never book on Spirit again. They didn't even offer any compensation for such a inconvenience."

Then after all of that, they offered not even water (for free) on their four hour flight. I understand delays happen - but consider offering a little something to your customers when this kind of event happens!"

Because the ticket kiosks at the airport were broken, I almost missed my flight, and because they've economized even on seat-back pockets, I had no where to accessibly store my laptop and books. I will avoid Spirit if I can next time."

Made the whole flight wait in a line for up to an hour for a voucher and the next spirit flight to LGA from DTW was 24 hours later, meaning we had to cancel our whole trip as we were heading there for an event. Terrible experience, horrible customer service."
Cons: "I paid more money during check in to an upgrade seat. Once on the plane, other passengers sat WHERE EVER they wanted. The staff had problems with accountability because seat numbers and ticket assignments were completely ignored. What good is a seat assignment if staff ignores the flight manifest. In the future I will no longer fly spirit because you do not value my upgrade. I feel you have unfairly taken my upgrade money only to find out that passenger's can ignore the upgrade costs and sit anywhere in the plane."

We were told it was due to take off and landing. If landing was so important, why did we not have to move back to the original seats?"

Cons: "I'd give it no stars if I could because the flight never left. They delayed it due to weather, then canceled due to crew time expiring. All well and good, but the next flight out they had available seats on was 4 days later, on Monday. Since I had to be in a wedding, I kind of had to fly out, so I ended up paying $900 (!!!!!) on a last minute flight on delta. I'll never try to save money up front again. Spirit assured me I'd have a refund in 5-7 business days, which was clearly useful in helping me buy my ticket to actually get to my destination."

In fact, once I discovered how terrible this airline is, I went online to discover that pretty much everyone feels the exact same way. How is this airline even in business?"
