Cons: "Not enough leg room. Flights are costly enough and it just seems wrong to upcharge passengers for more legroom. Legroom should be standard outside of first /business class."
Pros: "Crew was very friendly"
Cons: "the seats are horribly squished and uncomfortable. It’s the only thing that makes the flight not excellent"
Cons: "Really packed together seats...more room. Crew spoke very loudly on plane...jarring"
Pros: "It’s nice to be in a plane fitted with modern conveniences. Great entertainment options."
Cons: "I didn’t have a window at all. The staff didn’t offer any snacks to us. My bag was the only one that didn’t make it while I had a plenty long layover."
Pros: "The crew was friendly."
Cons: "My reservations were messed up and I had to wait for another flight to my final destination."
Cons: "Mechanical difficulty. Late Then missed connecting flight. 4 hours in a hotel. Then back to the airport the next day. Why can’t airline keep planes in good condition?"
Cons: "Seem that they turned off the air conditioning once we landed in the cabin got on the warm side."
Pros: "Nice to have more room in the premium economy section."
Cons: "Not even a smile from the crew and no help when asked. I don't expect Asian-style grace and class from an American airline, but I do expect good old-fashioned American friendliness, and there wasn't even that. Also hate the all-darkened cabin in the daytime."
Pros: "Getting to my destination."
Cons: "Leg room, more room for carry on bags, coats, etc."
Pros: "New plane. Great movie selection. More stylish seats + bathroom. Overall very good and I think Delta has really made an effort to improve it's service. It's noticeable."
Cons: "Plane felt very dry compared to others. The electrical plug outlet jams right at around your knee level. Bread was cold and rock hard (seriously, can we not come up with a good solution for this?)."
The boarding process went very quickly, faster than I’ve ever seen boarding occur. I understand the need for efficiency, but the groups were called so quickly that there was a lot of chaos at the gate and people running through the airport. Then we all sat on the plane for a while, which seemed silly.
Pros: "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING"
Cons: "Flight was delayed over 3 hours because they had No crew to operate the flight! Such poor customer service on Americans part as well. No answers and rude agents when you tried to ask any questions"
Pros: "I’m alive"
Cons: "An hour late. 3 gate changes. Missed connection in Phoenix. Typical AA."
Pros: "Yes! They were helpful and nice as well on the flight."
Cons: "Mhm.. Nothing."
Pros: "The crew was great, the pilot was talented and the on boarding process was quick and smooth."
Pros: "Attentive crew, generous drinks"
Cons: "I am not crazy about this plane. I had flat beds, but the ones that face each other in an awkwardly intimate way. Also miss the places to store the things I might need/want on the flight. All I had was the little drawer."
Pros: "Flight was delayed. booked another flight through Dallas with a 150 minutes layover there. That almost wasn't enough as we had an unscheduled 1 hour stop in Austi . In Dallas I had to run from one flight to the next. The only reason I made was because the connecting flight eas also delayed. In rhe end we landed at SFO (instead of OAK) over 2 hours later than originally scheduled. To make matters worse, there was a backup on the Dublin grade, making the drive home to Tracy over three hours long. arrived at SAT at 4:30 PM CDT and arrived home in Tracy after 3:30 AM OFT. oh yeah, and my luggage didn't make it at all..."
Pros: "On time."
Cons: "No overhead. No crew interaction getting on or off plane. First time in 55 years no crew at door as deplaned."
Pros: "The aircraft was perfect :)"
Cons: "The new basic economy fair. My tickets were booked before this happened and I was requested to pay my carry on"
Pros: "I took American's first direct flight between Philadelphia and San Antonio. It was a nice plane, good service, and amenities for a cost. Love that the plane had plugs!"
Cons: "Not delay the flight causing me to not have enough time to connect In Frankfurt."
Pros: "Plane was amazing! As always I will wish for more leg rim due to being tall. The food was wonderful and the entertainment was well varied and contained several new releases."
Cons: "Leg room!!!!"
Pros: "Overall I had a good flight. I do not have any complaints."
Cons: "No complaints."
Cons: "They dont accepted the seats Im requested before, when you charger $ 15.99"
Pros: "There were five flights out of our gate and we couldn't hear who was supposed to board because three people would be cross talking at the same time. All united flights."
Cons: "No beverage offered during the entire flight. Plane was on the runway for about 40 min prior to take-off. What a waste of time!"
Pros: "I liked that I finally made it home despite all the drama."
Cons: "I didn't like that I booked a flight nearly 2 months ago to only find out I didn't have a seat. I do understand its legal but I don't get how you are putting customers first by causing this drama. I understand how that DR felt when your guards ripped him out of his seat. I spent nearly 3 hours trying to find babysitters and alternate rides all while the snotty lady at the desk kept saying "you may not be flying out today but I cant tell you for sure". So to insure the bottom line you overbook then bump people at your leisure? This little game effects many lives above and beyond just the passengers. I don't plan on booking with United ever again. Why would I? There are many other options that take customer service more seriously. I would love to speak to someone higher up in this organization. But, im sure that will never happen."
Pros: "Everything went fine and they sorted out a spot for me to sit even though the flight was overbooked"
Pros: "Nice staff and comfort."
Cons: "I didn't like that when I got on and off my flights. When I asked for help because I am deaf and mute no one would escort me to the planes cabin or the right gate. Had to ask 3 different gates which way do I go because I cant hear and I was upset because I thought I wouldn't make my flight. My wife made sure that they put on my information in the system that they would help me, but I guess it doesn't work like that. In future I will make different arrangement so that I can get the help I need."
Pros: "The flight attendant gave our baby a banana, which was super sweet."
Cons: "The flight was delayed for an hour and they turned off the AC for 20 minutes of that, which got uncomfortable."
Cons: "Notices of the delayed flight ahead of time -- no notice was given until the original time of departure, when there was no plane in sight, so everyone was standing around wondering what was going on."
Cons: "The rep. at the baggage drop off was being unnecessarily unkind. Though she did not attend to us, it was obvious to all those in line she was upset. She gave her co-rep. attitude &created a very uncomfortable environment. We do not know either of their names. The negative rep was the AfricanAm lady."
Cons: "Frontier has mastered the art of a cheaply run airline that nickel and dimes you to death with extra fees for EVERYTHING. The Airbus A319 was equipped with hard shell seats with a tiny flip down tray large enough to barely hold two plastic cups with the tightest seat pitch I've ever encountered and rigidly upright non-reclining backs. They made Lufthansa seating a Cadillac by comparison. The tall guy behind me's feet stick out between my feet because he literally had no where else to put them. It's as if they tried to make the plane as uncomfortable as possible. I've flown across the Atlantic in a military transport on nylon webbing seats that were far less painful. There's a fee for baggage, even carry-ons, and for everything in the cabin, including water. The fares aren't cheap either, but I had to get to OKC for the weekend and American and Southwest were fully booked. Only Frontier had seats available, and now I know why. If it's too expensive for you to fly a decent plane, Frontier, just shut it down and save the traveling public a lot of aggravation and discomfort. if it's a choice between Frontier and the bus, take the bus!"
Cons: "Was charged $70 for overhead baggage...on the return trip Frontier would not allow the overhead bag and charged an extra $40 for the same carry on bag...Highway robbery"
Pros: "The flight from San Diego to Denver was great, the members of the crew were very friendly and helpful."
Cons: "The flight from Denver to Detroit was extremely late causing a huge delay in the entire process. Once we finally got ready to takeoff, we had to pull in yet again because there were passengers on the plan that weren't scheduled to go to Detroit.. all of these problems are somewhat understandable, but the crew FAILED TO EMPATHIZE WITH US AT ALL. They even made smart remarks about people going to the bathroom when we pulled back in... I feel some of them acted extremely unprofessional and I truly never want to fly with this company again."
Pros: "I like the value."
Cons: "I don't like the fee for carry-on, the seats, the extra cost for beverages and snacks."
Cons: "Every possible thing that doesn't include you putting your self into the seat is charged for. $40 to check a bag. Charge to pick your seat. No complimentary water or snacks."
Pros: "Crew was pleasant enough. It would have been nice to have been offered free water on flight."
Cons: "I questioned the mechanical condition of the plane, while still on the ground. The plane made some strange sounds before taking off. Seating space was confining. I did not like all the "nickel and dimeing" while booking flight."
Pros: "The safety announcement just before take off was a refreshing & original presentation done by the very cheerful flight attendant, Brittany."
Pros: "Plane was clean and well maintained. Flight crew was terrific."
Cons: "The line to drop off luggage was one of the longest I've ever been in - much longer than any other airline. Flight was delayed 45 minutes, but only found out via email alert an hour after flight was supposed to take off (from original departure time)."
Cons: "Spirit airlines is a joke. The seats are very uncomfortable, and they do not recline. Torturous."
Pros: "It is a discount airline - and a good performer in that mix."
Cons: "I am not a big fan of the nickle and dimeapproach."
Cons: "Not enough leg room. Water and small snacks not complimentary"
Pros: "NOTHING! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. LOOK ELSEWHERE."
Cons: "waiting in the airport for 9 hours for the plane to depart. originally scheduled for a 7:15am departure and the plane departed at 4pm. there was no message prior to advise customer of a delay in flight. Poor communication at the boarding gate. When we landed in Detroit we had to sit in the plane for 20 minutes for a gate to open. Pilot said this would take 5 minutes. the whole experience with Spirit Airlines was a disaster. i plan to look elsewhere in future flights."
Pros: "The fact we didn't sit on the plane for an hour after boarding on time so they can kick people off the plane for over booking like they did on the way back."
Cons: "I got an email at 8am saying my flight could be delayed but should show up on time. My flight was at 4:55pm so great start there. So I show up an hour and a half ahead of boarding, which is on the latter side for me. Security lines weren't very long, they just took their time which wasted everyone else's. I get through that line, look at the departure board - wait IT'S ON TIME?! They start boarding soon if it's on time and it's a further gate so I run down there and guess what? Delayed an hour. Okay, that's fine. Go grab something to eat, come back, settle in for a little bit, board - on my sweet way. Go grab some food quickly, come back - another hour delay? What the heck? I must've missed an announcement. Guess I should plug in my phone for the wait, I expected to meet some friends and potential clients layer that night, communication is key. I misplaced my charger, no big deal just went and got one of those power rods (highly recommend) and come back - ANOTHER HOUR?! That's pretty insane. One of my friends flying from Dallas that departed at 7:30 could be up in the air before I am. Step aside, give him a call to update, call potential clients letting them know I will be delayed getting there. No issue. Turn around - my goodness well what do you know, another hour! At this rate I call my hotel, because I can't lose my reservation if I can't check in on time. Hotel was the waterfront crowne plaza (another highly recommended item in this review by me). I plant in my seat, set my roots, meet a few nice people. Figuring I'd kill some time by meeting some great people. Met a family from Detroit and got some awesome food recommendations. Randomly over the speaker - we have another delay - another HOUR delay. Well this is just turning into a horror story, will I ever get there? Should I request a new flight? My buddy in Dallas departed 3+ hours after I was supposed to, and was up in the air already (he landed before me too). At this rate I cancel my meeting. We board, we take off, we land. Woman sitting next to me was nice. Plane didn't crash. Just landed in Detroit about 7+ hours later than expected. All in all, don't take spirit. Looking at prices they are the cheapest, not by a huge margin though. Pay the extra 70 or so dollars to take another airline. Even if it's $150 dollars more, take the other airline. They want to charge you 65 dollars for a carry-on. Their website was created by a 12 year old. Simply getting your boarding pass includes cross and up sells that make the process 10x more frustrating, especially when you know what you're dealing with on the second flight back. (By the way spirit if you can read this I'm a consultant for advertising, digital media, and UI for e-commerce - I can help you with your terrible website and the offers that come along with it) Just take the other airline, any other. It won't save you money most likely, but it will save you a lot of headaches, time, and embarrassment."
Pros: "The plane didn't crash."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 2 hours for "weather" even though we were going from Las Vegas to Dallas TX and there was no weather problems preventing other airlines from departure... I had a connecting flight which my layover was originally set for Detroit but it was switched to Dallas last minute... the seats were dirty and filled with food and debris from previous passengers, I had to wipe off my seat before I sat down... I think of all the flight attendants on my first flight only one was pleasant and professional as a flight attendant is expected to be... the 2nd flight was a little smoother in the since that the flight attendants were warm and welcoming however After a long day of traveling and flight delays I wanted to rest and I immediately noticed the seats did not recline not even a little, and the tray tables were the size of an iPad mini... it was very hard to get even a little comfortable for the almost 5 hour flight.. it was very uncomfortable.... then there's the baggage fee. $57 for a carry on I would rather pay the extra $57 to fly with a better airline... and to get to the airport and be told that they only accept cards for baggage fee no cash... who doesn't accept cash?? Especially in a place like Vegas. It was unbelievable.. but they conveniently had atm like machines that can turn your cash to card for a $5 fee.... it seems like they advertise the airline to be less expensive than others but in reality they're not!! They nickel and dime you with all of these fees to the point that you eventually end up paying the same price it would cost for a better airline only difference is you pay the same price and still get crappy service... I would never Spirit again. That was my first and last time, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone else."
Cons: "On the flight back, my flight was delayed several times, creating a problem for me with someone being available to pick me up upon arrival! This was due to the timing of the incoming flight. I will never book on Spirit again. They didn't even offer any compensation for such a inconvenience."
Pros: "No delays. Everyone was friendly. The flight was easy and comfortable."
Cons: "All their flights were delayed that day, so my red eye flight ended up "really" delayed. I waited 4 hours in the airport and the the flight was delayed by over 3 hours as well. Then after all of that, they offered not even water (for free) on their four hour flight. I understand delays happen - but consider offering a little something to your customers when this kind of event happens!"
Cons: "Crew was very rude to one of the passengers seated behind me."
