Flights from Turkey are suspended until at least November 8, except flights to repatriate Greek nationals and residents and special government-ordered flights.
Flights from Catalonia (Spain) are suspended until at least November 8.
Flights to Thessaloniki (SKG) are suspended until at least November 17.
Travelers arriving from Albania and North Macedonia must arrive at Athens (ATH).
All travelers must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test results 48 hours prior to arrival.
All travelers except those only transiting through an airport in Greece must complete a "Passenger Locator Form (PLF)" 24 hours before check-in. A QR code generated from the completed form must be presented upon arrival.

Cons: "We paid extra to have a bassinet as we were traveling with a baby. The entire row (a family) behind us was very sick, coughing, sneezing, and blowing their noses the whole flight. As we were concerned for our daughters health, we asked the flight attendants if we could lmove to the bulkhead that was open at the front of the plane. They wanted to charge us $500 EACH to move, even though the seats were open. One of the flight attendants even commented how terrible it was for our baby to have a row of sick people behind us, yet they refused to move us. Fast forward, our daughter ended up getting sick during our trip to Florence, and now my husband is sick. As such, we’ve had to miss out on things during our vacation. It would not have been difficult to move us to empty seats in the front of the plane, so we could use the bassinet we paid for. This small gesture would have made our flight and our trip much better."

E-mails were sent too late to be useful for knowing what was happening to the original LH009, then LH007 flights, both of which were ultimately cancelled, making the connection to LH400 dicey for the FRA to JFK leg of the trip. Telephone or SMS should have been used for faster contact. I had already printed boarding passes for LH009 about 20 hours before flight time and ultimately arrived at HAM two hours before flight time and thought everything was in order. It ultimately was not, and my checked baggage never made it onto the connecting flight."

Everything from the moment I said yes was a terrible. They rebooked me twice on two different routes when I was in the air. Said a steward would meet me (never happened) instead I was running to catch flights on different airlines in two different airports. The entire situation was disgusting. The running was with all of my luggage. Because of the rebooking I was in the last row of 75 rows on a plane with an additional connection. Every flight had delays creating more chaos for the next flight. The only helpful airline in the bunch was Delta."

In the economy/coach cabin, they squeeze the seat distances to such an extent that, when the person in front of you leans their chair back, you cannot get out of your seat at an upright angle. You have to significantly bend your body. To not loose your balance, you have to grab on to the seat in front of you and that disturbs the other passenger. If they're sleeping, they can be woken up by that. Lufthansa does not care much for its passengers. Nor do many other companies, for that matter, but I think Lufthansa is taking things further than most airlines. It is a disgrace. Their brand is not what it once was."
