A little rough over the mountains -- but that always happens to SLC. Our flight was actually early. Baggage was waiting for me at the carousel when I arrived -- and I went almost directly there. I've never had that happen before -- great. I will fly Alaska again."
Cons: "My only complaint was with check-in. I used the self-serve kiosk, which was easy to follow and efficient. The problem arose when I needed to check my bag. The computer instructs the passenger to go to the "baggage drop-off area," which I did. However, there was nobody there to receive my bag or to check my ID and give me a boarding pass. There was staff helping other customers at the "full-service" area, and I tried to get their attention. All I got in return was a head shake "no." This was especially frustrating since one of the staff members was observing other staff -- not actually working the computer to check in customers. I understand that she may not be able to leave her post to operate another post, but it seems reasonable to walk the mere 10 feet over to me to explain that I am in the right area and someone will assist me shortly. I ended up getting in line, which defeats the purpose of the kiosk, only to see a staff member show up to the drop off area. Going back, everything went fine from there."

Pros: "I liked mostly everything. I sat near the back and there were multiple bathrooms. There was complimentary Starbucks coffee (regular and decaf). The flight attendants spoke clearly and were attentive to the you boy, probably 6, who was sitting next to me and was traveling alone. The seats were as comfortable as it gets on a plane and then bam! Surprise, the head rest bends on either side forming a protective cocoon so that your head doesn't slide forward constantly while you doze off. THAT was my favorite part about the flight. The pilots were ahead of schedule, the flight was smooth. Overall, awesome, comfortable flight."

My girlfriend and I had a short layover and deliberetly purchased seats near the front of the airplane in order to get off quicker and catch our layover. When I checked in online I noticed that our seats were not only changed to the complete rear of the airplane, but we were separated as well. When we got to our final destination our luggage did not make it with us."

I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays."

I would say that we will never fly American Airlines again nor will my family. This was not the only delay or cancellation because of American either. We spent 48 hours traveling because of delays and cancellations and still American would do nothing for us. I'm 66 and my husband is 72 (who also has had back surgery for five slipped discs) and we had to sleep on concrete floors and had very limited money to buy food. It was by far the worst experience of my life and I would encourage everyone to not travel with them."

Apparently my group 2 boarding status and your less than full flight still meant that there was no room in the entire cabin for my bag as they took it at the gate and checked it. If the bins had been loaded properly there would have been plenty of room because I saw multiple bags loaded sideways taking up the space of 2 bags or 1 small bag that would easily fit under the seat taking up overhead bin space. Overall (SFO to Nashville) the worst flight experience I have ever had, you still have 1 more chance to impress me on my return flight otherwise I will not fly American Airlines again."

Cons: "I had a 47 minute layover scheduled. I had an hour delay on my first flight and they didn't hold anyone's connecting flight, which ended up being the last flights out for the night. By the time we got hotel vouchers, our bags and a shuttle to the hotel there was less than 4 hours to actually sleep. If I had known how slow the process was I would have opted to sleep in the airport so I got more than 3 hours of sleep."

This was even though I had a round trip ticket on Frontier. To my dismay all other airlines were full. I am writing this review as I wait at the gate for a departure time on my Frontier return trip, we are 2 hours late for departure with no new departure time given. There are not any Frontier employees in the gate area to give updates. This is the bottom of the barrel for airlines and I will not ever be flying Frontier Airlines again."

Cons: "After being prevented from flying on Spirit airlines to San Diego by Spirit staff at the O'Hare boarding gate because we only arrived twenty minutes before flight departure I was worried about the return flight to O'hare from San Diego. I called the day before to check in, and confirmed the check in online. Then, upon arrival at the airport I was told by a Spirit employee that my ticket was no longer valid. Despite having paid in full for the ticket, and having checked in the day before. It turns out there is an overriding policy Spirit has but does not actively communicate to customers which automatically cancels and resells your seat reservation for your return flight in the event you miss your first flight. And while it is understandable to assume that someone won't need a return flight if they miss their first flight, its also understandable to assume someone will simply board a later flight and continue with their vacation and still need a return flight. To find out which assumption is correct all that is needed is an auto-generated email or text. But Spirit doesn't do that. They setup an auto generated cancellation, but not an auto generated message of the cancellation. And they don't show the cancellation in your Spirit account. I can only assume this is by design, and the goal is to essentially purposefully cause the customer to miss their flight without a refund while also getting to resell the customer's seats to a second traveler. I understand that airlines must always cut costs and that the traveler is responsible for their journey. But there is a way to cut costs without subterfuge. The only reason we got aboard was because someone else missed their flight and we took their seats. The one's I had purchased with extra leg room were being used by someone else. There are many ways for a business to make money, and being disingenuous with customers is one of them. But it is not the only way or the best way. This manner of shuffling customers costs Spirit in the longterm. It causes needless confusion, dissatisfaction, and burns out front Spirit staff while losing repeat business. I recommend changing this way of doing business."

Speaking of checking in, you might as well do it now if you plan to travel next summer. They close online check-in an hour before the scheduled flight time. 3. Hope you've got a printer during that check-in so you don't have to pay to print your boarding pass. It's $2 at the kiosk and $10 if an actual human agent has to expend the energy to hit the "print" button. I didn't have a printer, but I suppose the agent was having a good day because she printed it free of charge when I showed her the boarding pass on my phone. 4. If you didn't pick a seat during booking or check-in, congratulations on not wasting even more money. Surprisingly, it's absolutely free for a human agent to assign you a seat. Unless, of course, you choose to "upgrade" and snag a seat with extra wide arm rests. Just be aware that if you're traveling with a partner, you probably won't be sitting together if you go the free route. 5. While we're on the subject, I tried to be nice and move to an empty seat so a lady could sit with her husband, but the flight attendant wouldn't let me because the EMPTY SEAT was a $15 "upgrade." No thanks. I'll keep my $15 and stay in my normal seat with normal sized arm rests. 6. I actually shouldn't call them "normal" seats, because they are anything but normal. They don't recline, which was fine for my relatively short flight. But the "seat pocket" was a single bungee cord and the "tray table" was basically a paperweight not much larger than a deck of cards. But whatever, it's not like I actually needed to use it, because I also declined the offer to PURCHASE WATER. You'd think after a three hour delay, they could comp us a water, but I've been known to have outrageous ideas. 7. This is probably irrelevant, but during the taxi down towards the runway, both of my planes sounded like a dying manatee. 8. Due to circumstances out of my personal control, I was late getting to the airport for my return flight home. And by "late" I mean I showed up with 45 minutes to spare. The agent called to the gate to announce my tardiness, which was hilarious because they didn't mind making me wait 3 hours for my outbound flight a week earlier. 9. My tardiness and 50lb bag cost me a dollar less than I paid for the plane ticket. I tried to negotiate, explaining the terrible experience on the outbound flight, but the "manager" wouldn't approve a discounted bag fee. That is, after she finally showed up from being "MIA""

I did so, and ran to my gate. I arrived in Fort Lauderdale, my destination, to find that they sent my luggage on a different flight. It was difficult for me to obtain the time my luggage would be arriving, and when I finally did, I had to make a special trip to pick it up (45 minute drive), because the delivery fee was $60 cash. I called customer service and got no where with them, as they defended their employees rather than apologizing for my dissatisfaction."

Cons: "Everything else. If you don't know you pay for everything! Check bag, carry on, to talk to someone at the counter. A drink and snack. May due you pay for your bags early, or a checked bag, and carry on will cost you a $100 at the airport. Sorry but the ticket price doesn't even sabre you that much!"
