The staff and service of SIngapore Airlines is hard to beat. They are excellent. If they could only figure out their call center fiasco it would be a top airline. Attempting to call SQ is like trying to talk to the dead.

The noise from the engine transmits to the bed and it is hard to sleep even with the noise cancellation headphone."

Pros: "We fly a lot and have flown American, European, Asian airlines but this has to be the best experienxe ever. First, their checkin is all automated, even baggage. That makes the lines really short. Their staff standing by to help at every moment. When we used another airline in Australia Jetstar, we waited in line for one hour and then were scolded for being late! We even had to pay for our water and the staff took turn scolding us over our overhead bin stuff. Boarding of NZ airline was so comfortable, without pushing or crowds. Staff always welcoming you with a smile. Seats are wide and we were given free drinks, free headohones, and wait for it.... free dinner! And all served so politey and in the most gracious manner as if we were their guests. We were so taken back by their service and this was the aecond time we have flown with them in 10 days. My young daughter thought may be their staff gets paid more so they seem to be so much more happy. I also think that there is something when you dehumanize your customers by charging them for water and being uncaring to their needs. The staff also starts to treat the customers as cattle. Besides Southwest Airlines, I havent come across one another airline where the staff treat their custmoers with reapect while charging them for water. So airlines, take note. I would pay $50 per ticket extra just to be in NZ airline."

Pros: "The food was OK, but not really as good as what we had received on other airlines. Example, on one flight I had a fish dish which was overcooked very dry and there was no sauce of any kind to make it palatable. I do not like to throw food away but half way into the meal I had enough. Other than that Qatar Airlines was really first class. The flight attendants were the best we have ever experienced. Their dress was immaculate, they were very friendly and attentive and were there to make the flight as comfortable as possible plus cater to all requests."

Pros: "I really enjoyed the flight, which was almost 15 hours long. I give an overall 4 star review for this flight. The boarding process was pretty organized (without including the ignorant passengers who can't read their zone numbers, haha) because they called us up group by group, in a speedy process. Even inside, the cabin crew welcomed us aboard and showed us where our seats are. This leads me to my 5-star rating of the service. Very warm, friendly, and generally helpful cabin crew Qatar Airways has. They fulfilled all my needs even if they had to go out of their way. As for entertainment, I was very surprised at how many great movies they have! Especially the new ones! I would not be bored again with this selection. Food was okay to be honest. It was a hot meal that satisfied my hunger and tasted good, but maybe it's just me and airplane food. Doesn't taste right for me. And to be honest, I was cramped. Not even me but many other passengers felt like the seats were too small. Overall, Good experience!"

Cons: "The first flight from KTM the TV didn't work and I didn't fit into the seat. The most uncomfortable seat in a long time. The second flight from Doh to JFK was not good. I was put through 3 security checks when I already went through security in KTM. On the 3rd check my Dutyfree whiskey was taken from me because they would not let me take it in my carry on. They said I could take it if I checked my carry on bag (one backpack). My carry on has everything I need for a 16 hour flight. Plus, I had my very expensive camera gear in there too so I could not do this. This was unfair and Qatar needs to step up and return my Dutyfree whiskey and reimburse for the flight without TV. I will never suggest Qatar to anyone."

Pros: "One of the worse flight experiences, if not the worst. The crew was indifferent and disrespectful to our dietary restrictions on a 5 HOUR FLIGHT! It’s worth noting that when I say “our”, I also refer to my visibly pregnant wife. We asked one crew member for water (WATER!) and were told they ran out. Moments later, the same crew member was passing out water bottles to other passengers. There’s much more to say about our flight, but if theses two instances don’t prompt a change, then the rest won’t matter anyway."

I had no seat assigned and was told I would be seated after all families were taken care of. I waited and waited and finally when everyone was boarded, I checked one last time because I was the only person left in the waiting area and the gate agent totally forgot about me. So she assigned me to a seat that had a wall in front of it and no storage space in the seat in front of me. I was livid. Thankfully I didn’t have to check the instrument but the hassle was a nightmare I really wanted to avoid."

Cons: "The plane was freezing so I asked if there were any spare blankets. I was told they were $10. The crew also didn't do a safety demonstration at the beginning, which made the 30 minutes of rough turbulence all the more nerve-racking."

On my way back to HI, she was in my flight and apologized (I didn't even notice her since I was preoccupied) - I told her it was busy and I saw her working it and it was okay. She offered her help in anything and I thought that was super sweet, then she said.. I wont forget this time. Nice touch"

Cons: "I only had 50min layover. I tried to get wiki shuttle from gate 6 to 26 but I waited for ever so ended up running to gate 26, boy I almost died. I was the last one to board. Of course I couldn't change my seat to aisle because everyone boarded already. Food was horrible, it was cabbage and chicken. Drinks(juice) were small, like shots. I always request aisle for various reasons, I like to get up and walk around because this is my 4th leg of my trip. To top my horrible experience with, my bags didn't make it from my SFO flight to Sydney flight. I wasted time waiting and looking around for my bags and standing in line for missing/lost bags. I arrived here on Sunday and it's now Wednesday morning and I still haven't received my bags yet. Hawaiian better pay me money for the inconvenience or air b points. To be honest this will be my last time flying with Hawaiian, I thought it was just rumors that they are ones of the worst. Hawaiian makes Jetstar looks like a 5 star airline. I'm a frequent flyer and I have flown just about every airlines out there."
