Cons: "We were delayed which happens sometimes. I departed gate 26 at JFk the problem with the delay was there was no place to sit during the 90 min delay"

Pros: "I made a flight, canceled it that day and booked on a different airline. But, I never got a cancellation email. So all I saw was the JetBlue flight. Last night, I got an email from Kayak telling me to check in so my daughter went to the wrong airport to the wrong flight!!"

Because of the long wait many people didn't eat dinner, JetBlu decided to get coffee and donuts for all of their passengers (they said it over the loud speaker), Frontier didn't give us anything. When the plane landed at 8:15, the slowness of the workers couldn't have been any worse. Loading the bags slow, cleaning the plane slow. Plane gets here at 8:15 and we don't take off until 9:30. You'd think we would get some type of snack or drink for this horrible wait time right? Water is free on frontier, but nothing else. And they stuck with that. NOTHING FREE! Not even a soda or bag of chips! My friend is 6 foot 4 and I'm not sure how they get away with the nonexistent leg room. His knees were smashed against the chair in front of him the entire time. Funny for me, sucked for him (or anyone tall). He asked to change seats to 1 of the 2 open seats we had seen with more leg room (near the side emergency exit). They said no unless he wants to pay $50 right there. In the middle of the flight. I have no words for it. Customer service was horrible, food was nonexistent, drinks were nonexistent, leg room was nonexistent. And that sums up how I'll never be using frontier ever again. Pay $50 more for a better plane service seriously."

Cons: "Three of us boarded at DIA in Denver on Feb 25 on Frontier Airlines for a flight to New Orleans. We each had one piece of carry on luggage that we placed in the compartment above the seats. There was not additional charge for the carry on. We paid only the cost of our airline ticket. HOWEVER on our return flight Feb 28, we told at the New Orleans Frontier desk there would be an extra charge for the exact carry on luggage we had checked in at Denver fours days before. The extra charge was $40.00 for checking or $45.00 if we carried on our luggage. We explained there was no charge for our carry on's in Denver. That didn't help. SO what choice did we have? We didn't make a scene or issue about this extra charge. We merely paid the extra charge and grumbled on the flight home. You can probably guess about our change in attitude -- from a pleasant flight experience to New Orleans to maybe our next flight will not be on Frontier rather another carrier."

Also, attempting to sleep on a flight is always difficult but turning on the lights to serve beverages was a bit much. Dim lighting would be a better option."

Cons: "I say the exact same "I should have just flown delta" story EVERY TIME I go with a cheap airline. Flight was delayed from 5pm to 6pm, then to 11:30pm, then 1:30am. So I had to buy a stupid expensive last minute ticket on Delta (Frontier doesn't work with other airlines, to rebook flights or even find your luggage) then drive two hours from the airport to see my family for the holidays.. Then take a 2 hour trip back to the airport the next day to pick up my luggage, which Frontier wouldn't deliver to me because I "voluntarily separated" from them. I suppose that's technically true, but I think there's an argument there that Frontier's complete lack of competency forced to me do it."

They charge you extra in every way they possibly can--including seat arrangements and carry-on bags that end up being even more expensive than checked bags. They tell you everything is cheaper when being set up through their website, but their site crashes like crazy and people on the phone are also very unhelpful. Our flight was delayed for 3 hours and the maintenance crew was very unhelpful in relaying information to the crew. We never got a perfectly clear answer on what the actual problem was."

Cons: "First, they charged 50$ (!!!) for each check in bag while most airlines charge 25$. That is double! And for a domestic flight!! To top that, no one at the check in counter had told us that skateboards are not allowed on board (even though they saw us with it). We arrived at the gate, about to board the flight and a second before getting on the plane, we were told that we could not go on with the skate board. All this is while we see people take in strollers that are far bigger than a simple board with wheels. They claimed that it's a "weapon". It is as much a weapon as a stroller. They made us pay additional 65$ (!!!) just to throw it inthe bells with no wrapping or bag, and to sign a liability release so if it will break we wouldn't be able to sue. We felt completely ripped off! The only other option according to them was to pack it and board the next flight (of course this was a non- refundable flight). To top everything off- the airplane was old, they sold one seat to oversized people in a way that it was impossible to have your iwnspace and they didn't even serve water in a 3.5 hiur flight. It was a horrible experience and we wouldn't recommend spirit airlines to anyone ever. We ended up paying an extra 165$!!!"

Even though you lure customers in with your initial low price but than you nickel and dime the customers to death with fees for everything and the extreme high cost for luggage, that your initial ticket price became higher than the other two carriers initial price. Shame on you!"

Cons: "Baggage fees! Flight delayed 4 hours on Christmas Eve due to "weather". Checked FAA. No weather issues anywhere. Called and was told my daughter would receive a voucher for the inconvenience. I instructed her to go to ticket counter to get voucher. No voucher was there. Rep had lied to me. Called back & supervisor pulled phone recording. An hour and a half ordeal. Ended up getting a $52 credit for the baggage fee my kid had paid. Missed midnight mass due to the delay. #sad-panda If you're able to get a super cheap fare, great. If it's over $20, and you're on a schedule, find another flight. my daughter is 5'2, 100#s. She had no leg room. 5'2!!! Keep that in mind as well. Good luck & safe travels!"

Pros: "Seats were uncomfortable the flight was four hors late. The Mechanics on the plane were very noisy!"

Pros: "On the way to mke they charged us 200$ for carry ons. On the way back, they cancelled our flight and refused to put us on another until 3 days later. They refunded us $350 and we had to pay another $500 to book another flight home. Horrible customer service. Kayak shoukd not work with them."

Pros: "This is by far the worst airline I've ever flown. I've flown several budget airlines throughout the world, and none of them nickel and dime you like spirit. Also, because it is such a discounted airline, the flight attendants and the gate Crew don't really seem to care about your comfort. The cost of food is ridiculous as is any in-flight entertainment. Not worth it unless you're only staying somewhere for 2 to 3 days and you don't have any bags to check."

Pros: "I liked that it was an uneventful smooth ride."
Cons: "1) No leg room. I am 5'10 tall and my knees were touching the sit in front of me. 2) Seats do not recline. Try taking a nap here. There is just not enough space to relax 3) Ticket seems to be cheap but then you have to add seat selection $, carry on bags $, seat selection for your return flight $, carry on bag for your return flight $, soft drinks $, snacks $. You end up paying more than Jet blue which has great leg room, in flight entertainment, free soft drinks. 3) Boarding was a mess."

Cons: "arrived at 4 am instead of 12:30 because they don't have enough airplanes"

Pros: "Whatever the price quoted in Kayak, add $200. Spirit doesn't use TSA predheck so forget ably that. Terrible airline."

Cons: "They charged me $52 for a bag. Cause I had two, and they only allow one free per passenger. No food, snack or drinks... Not even water...only if you pay for. The seat on the planes doesn't reclined. No TV monitor on plane. At the end I finished paying more for the ticket that on the others airlines...this was my first time on Spirit and definitely the last."

Pros: "Great safe and professional service in all areas. On Time with bad weather that was cancelling numerous flights into and out of Ohare."
Cons: "The original outgoing online flight checking in process was difficult to navigate threw. This return flight online check in was great."

Pros: "Flight attendants Daniel, and Shancy were the best, and most friendly I have ever encountered."

Pros: "The comfort and service"

Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours, but despite avoiding all possibility of extra fees, they got us at the airport. All other airlines have a 50lb checked bag weight. They are the only ones I know of that have 40 lbs, then they charged us $50 extra because we were now "overweight". What a scam!"

Pros: "I liked nothing on this airline. First and last time I ever flight with Spirit Airline."
Cons: "Everything is a nightmare. Not even a F... number you can call and speak with a real person. Spirit charges for everything and the crew are inept. A Spirit Airline crew member asked me to change my seat, so she can put a family together. I moved requesting nothing in exchanged and I sat where she told me to seat. A few minutes later another crew member rudely accused me of changing seat, took me out of the plane while she finds me another seat and the crew member that caused the confusion was nowhere to be found. I strongly suggest DON'T FLY WITH SPIRIT AIRLINE. AND FOR THE CEO OF SPIRIT AIRLINE " TREAT CUSTOMERS LIKE YOU LIKE TO BE TREATED."

Cons: "Wasn't aware seat and carry-on were not included in price. Snacks and beverages are not included at all. Landing felt like near crash."

Cons: "Had I known of the hidden fees, I never would have booked. From now on, I will skip past Spirit Airlines when searching for a flight."

Pros: "The ticket cost is low."
Cons: "Spirit is a garbage airline."

Cons: "The flight leaving Vegas was an 1.5 hours delayed which put me in NoLa at 2am."

Pros: "Nothing at all. It was a horrible experience as I am relating in the other column. Would never recommend them to anyone and warn others of our bad experience."
Cons: "Horrible customer service at check-in, they refused to do anything to help us. Our plane was still there for 45min but they wouldn't let us on said we were five mins to late to check in. On top of all this they couldn't get us on a flight for TWO days and would not refund our money or help us get a flight on any other airline, said the were not affiliated with any of the other airlines. We had wait in the airport for 4 hrs and pay $500.00 to get seats on a Delta flight. Needless to say I will never use Spirit again and will tell others of our experience."
