Pros: "My experience with American Airlines was horrible I was on flight 1357 and me and my husband started boarding the plane my husband stopped so put the bag in his seat the flight attendant Sonya #695655 taliago Portuguese was very nasty rude and disrespectful and came off very racist she told my husband to sit down and move out the house as he was placed in his bag on top of his seat then when my husband told her he was placing his bag up over the seats she asked to see his pass his boarding pass then he told her he just wanted to put his bag up over the other seat because there was no more bathroom over his seat she argue with my husband after my husband left the situation alone she then comes in with another flight attendant who was more Ruder than her it was a 20-minute delay with the both of them yelling at us and threatening to kick us off the plane then didn't offer us any drinks or snacks she kept giving my huaband nasty looks the whole 4hours she was very racist and I would never take American Airlines again experience was horrible"

My daughter spilled some juice on her shorts and not only did Angel help me clean up my daughter, she did not hesitate to pick up my daughter’s dirty shorts and neatly packaged it away for me! She went above and beyond her future to provide THE BEST customer service and flight I’ve had in over 20+ years of flying. No call or email before hand, the had to wait until 2am to change the flight and get a hotel voucher. After that, next day they board the plane and de-board the plane due to mechanical problems. Another night and just a couple of 10 vouchers. She never received an explanation or recompense for loosing part of her trip in the san juan airport. This is the second time ahe has gone thru this in the same year with United. Awful experinece."

So, avoid United, unless you have no other choice."

Fortunately I was able to transfer to another airline, but this overral experience with United was horrible."

Pros: "I fly ALL the time with my Pet in Cabin. This supposed to be our first time with Spirit. Employees refuse to let my dog fly. They said the dog cannot turn around inside the soft sides bag. My dog indeed turn around inside the bag, but sometimes she don’t want or need to do that!! Counter attendants refund my money effective in 7 days. Almost immediately in went to SOUTHWEST, side by side with Spirit counter and quickly buy our tickets to FLL. Thanks to SOUTHWEST we arrive on time."

Asked for some water (I just wanted a cup of water) and they wanted to sell me a bottle of water for $3. The gave me a half full cup. Had to stay in plane for more than an hour to get out of plane when arraving at Orlando. Even had to pay for my carry on! Never have I ever paid for a carry on with other airlines! And it was very expensive. $105 for carry on + luggage."

Cons: "Although weather conditions were not Spirit's doing, on the return flight we had to wait in the tarmac for 3 hours to unload and 2 hours to retrieve baggage, we had a very rude crew member that eventually had a passenger return his rudeness with the same. After 2 hours of waiting was when Spirit decided to offer us 3 oz of water and a tiny package of cookie. Thank God for no medical emergency, but they didn't come out and offer actual bottles of water and/or a real snack. Terrible consideration toward the passengers."

A Fluke I had a cup to PUKE IN. i was on phone ONE HOUR and SIX MINUTES with spirit. My name was spelled wrong and was assured it was correct, only to be turned back at TSA. For return to FLL I couldnt print boarding pass, you are too cheap to have an APP or email a pass....I had to call AGAIN and was told you owe me a credit for overcharging my bag. WOW WHAT A RIDE. WHEN I LANDED THERE WAS A BRAWL AT SPIRIT COUNTER IN FLL.....SURPRISED?"

Pros: "So, I have no complaints regarding the Travels. However, I've never flown Spirit before and Kayak NEVER provided any information regarding fact that the fare was "bare fare" & that we'd have to pay from everything from seats to carry-on AND check-in luggage!!! WTH! By the time we covered all necessities, we could've flown with a larger airline like JetBlue, Delta or United! We all felt taken advantage of and like cattle packed into an "air-bus." It was cramped. Very little space. ALL beverages....including coffee and water....were ONLY available for fee! Only credit/debit accepted and not just on airplane but at gate too! Oh, BTW, the luggage fee which they claimed was less when processing on-line turned out to be $10 MORE! Yeah, so $40 rather than $30 EACH way! Plus, when I went to buy our seats it immediately switched from a $4 fee to $12 per seat! I'm so angry & feel so deceived & taken advantage of that I'm never planning to use Kayak or Spirit ever again! They advertise as affordable fare but nickel & dime you to death. So sad what they do to people who like in my case had a family emergency and just wanted to get to my destination & back quickly & safely. Shame on them. There's a means of being profitable but then there's a means of being abusive and that's what I felt with Spirit Airlines. Due to fact that Kayak didn't advertise EVERYTHING about flight, I hold them responsible too. Oh, and if you plan to call Spirit, good luck getting a hold of a live person because it took me FOREVER!! Terrible, terrible, terrible!! Sincerely, Disappointed frequent flyer"

We got stranded in ft Lauderdale overnight, thank God we have the means to stay overnight but if someone hasn't got the extra money to spend on a hotel and food etc until the next night?? It's disgusting behavior! I will never fly with them again, I will pay more for my family of six, anyway we paid so much for the delay, and I will not get stranded! By the way, this is the second time it has happened to us!!!"
