That same flight attendant was sitting in a first class seat scrolling through her phone again, she did look up to thank us though. However, once arrived in PHX, the connecting flight was in the same concourse, which was often not the case. So, could easily make the connecting flight. Also, the push by crew to "valet check" carry in luggage was too aggressive, especially since there was ample space to store luggage above the seats, then having to wait 10 minutes or more to retrieve luggage at entryway while being concerned about connecting flights was an example of a poor system for serving passengers when a flight is let."
