Cons: "The ambient lighting used throughout the cabin was too bright and stimulating to let me fall asleep in an overnight flight, should have been dimmed more or turned off. The seats did not help the comfort levels either, should have been able to recline a tad bid more. The carry-on-bag situation is getting out of control, you should crack down on people who bring too many bags or oversized bags that should be checked in instead."

Desk agent did ask for six volunteers to check their bags on a full flight. Adherence to the rules of size and number would be fairer to all passengers. Crew was very nice. Previous experience with Jet Blue was very positive."

Cons: "Everything else. People, don't be fooled by the low prices - it is not worth it. Avoid Frontier like the plague. Flight from SAN to MCO was cancelled, rebooked 14 hrs later. We were 6 min past curfew leaving SAN and they returned us to the gate. Crew made no effort to hurry. They were ignorant or indifferent. Leaving MCO a week later flight was supposed to depart at 9:00 PM and was delayed 3.5 hrs and then cancelled. Next available flight was 24 hrs later. Frontier apparently only has one flight out of MCO daily. I had to book with Delta to get back to SAN within reason. I will never fly on Frontier again."

Cons: "The only problem was that it was an overnight flight and about two in the morning members of the flight crew gathered at the back galley and began to talk and laugh rather loudly. Not only did they wake me up but they woke a little girl who began to cry loudly for some time. Perhaps they did not realize their loudness because they were friendly on and off the plane, but it was rather frustrating."

Pros: "This was our first time using Frontier and we were skeptical because of the low fares. At each step along the way we were glancing at each other and waiting for the other shoe to drop, but were very pleasantly surprised by the end of the trip to have found nothing wrong or hidden. As a person who has flown regularly for over 40 years on both budget and full service carriers, and had always enjoyed it up until the late 90’s, at which time I really began to dread going through the entire process; this was a really pleasant surprise. On our way home in the car after our return, both my wife and I agreed that this was the first time in years that we didn’t have any complains about the experience and that we actually had mildly enjoyed it. Maybe that was just a lack of pain. At least on this first time using Frontier we got more than we expected. I think if you take the time to understand the business model the first time you book and you follow the booking process; the seat and baggage selection choices and the check-in procedures, you will get a good bang for your buck. We did upgrade some selections but even with that, we were still way under the next carriers fare price point. Maybe if we had not taken the opportunity to upgrade during the online booking process it might have been a different experience. This flight was two round trip tickets from Cincinnati to San Diego. The first part was a non-stop and the return was a one-stop in Denver. All three legs were on an Airbus 320’s. On all three legs we had isle seats in the first 6 rows (2C/ 2D, 3C/ 3D and 6C/ 6D). We don’t care about, nor expect frills; we only want to get there and back comfortably with good value fares; and that’s what we got."

You can choose to carry-on bags, for a price. The table trays are now called "traylets" because they are so tiny. Forget about putting a normal sized laptop on them. In-flight food and beverages are available, for a price. Gone are the days of fresh baked cookies on each flight and free water."

On all the flights the staff joked loudly talking about their weekend or what they were going to do. I understand being social but keep it down. We are traveling and exhausted. They kept waking my children up with laughter. On top of this. They misplaced our baggage for 24 hours. Ok yeah not such a big deal except when you were going to drive two hours away and going to need bathing suits and things in your bag. They ended up refunding the $50 luggage charge but did not refund anything I had to purchase ....."

Cons: "The airline charges for everything from carrying a bag on which just about every other airline does not. You have to pay to pick your seat, if you are flying with a friend or significant other you will not sit near each other unless you pay. There are no snacks or drinks offered other than water, you have to pay for any snack or juice/soda. You have to pay more to get seats with a normal sized food tray, otherwise you get a food tray the size of an iPhone. Seats do not recline. Will never fly frontier again"

They charge you if you want to pick a seat next to your spouse. $40 for a carry-on Red eye flight, no pillows, no blankets, airpline was freezing cold. ."

I appreciated this, but the little room was dirty and stunk very bad. A relief to leave it! The charges for luggage (carry-on or checked) seem high, especially since you don't offer ANYTHING complimentary except water."

Cons: "We booked our flight to san diego with a short layover in denver. 2 days later they canceled our original flight and put us on a slightly later flight, which would make us miss our connecting flight in denver, so then they gave us a 7 hour layover in denver, we had planned on having dinner in San diego, but ended up getting to our hotel at 3 AM. They would not let us cancel our reservation and they promised us a $50 voucher, that never came. very subpar, and with the state of air travel these days that's saying a lot."

Cons: "The fact that Frontier charges for both checked luggage and carry-on luggage is enough to make me not want to use this airline again in the future. The food and drink options on the plane are also ridiculously overpriced. If Frontier were to price their in-flight food and drinks they would make a lot more money as budget minded people like myself would actually buy an item or two as opposed to refusing to buy anything at all. Overpricing food and drink items and charging for checked and carry-on luggage also has the added negative effect of me never wanting to use this airline again in the future. I will also actively dissuade friends and family from using Frontier."

Cons: "My flight was cancelled 4 hours before departure. This was the Friday night before Memorial Day weekend, departing one of the busiest airports in the country. I was traveling home for a funeral. The only other flight to the east coast that got me to the funeral on time cost $1800. Spirit Airlines made no attempt to help me book on another airline after their next flight was 24 hours later and would have caused me to miss the funeral."

"[Amenities] just weigh us down." It said something like that on the print out. I feel like not distributing water as a safety precaution in a pressurized atmosphere for a 5.5 hour flight is just begging for a catastrophe because a passenger couldn't whip out his MasterCard quick enough to stay hydrated."

All 200 passengers were sent down to ticket counter where most of us waited for 5 hours or better bc they were understaffed and EVERY person who walked away was very upset. Wouldn't refund all of fares people paid and many of us couldn't get onto other flights. I have never experienced any thing like it in all my years of travel. Was at airport for 7 hours. Unacceptable! Dispicable. Was my first and last experience w Spirit."

Cons: "Seats dont recline unless you upgrade. no food offered. the interior of the plane is stripped bare - the seats have the essentials which was fine with me. I slept the whole flight although the seat was a bit uncomfortable."

I thought I had got a great d salmon a flight but if I would have flown a different airline I would have only lid about 90 for the flight and been able to check my bags for free. Will not be flying spirit again until their checked bag prices change."

Cons: "All of my flights were delayed due to plane issues. Also, when I received my luggage bag from the plane.. It was completely destroyed.. The side of it was broken off and the outside was covered in some type of black marks. Not impressed what so ever. Never will fly this airline again."

Pros: "Missed an important life event bc of the 1 hour delay which they did not advertise ahead of time online or in an email update! I still arrived at my gate with 5 min to spare and they said the plane departed a few min before the posted time, ergo I had missed it by 90 seconds. they routed me to Dallas and I got in 3 hours after I was supposed to. Not dependable!"
Cons: "1 hour delayed and missed my Connecting flight! It was uncomfortable, seats don't recline, tray tables useless for working on a laptop"

Cons: "On my way back the flight was cancelled. The whole process of getting another flight was not smooth. I had to carry a bunch of bags all the way to nearly the other end of LAX (huge airport) by myself, then I had to rush to catch my flight because the ticket was not received by American Airlines until less than an hour before the flight (I arrived over two hours early). Also why did I not receive advanced notification the flight was cancelled?"

Cons: "The only water they had was for purchase."

Pros: "The new aircraft was nice."
Cons: "The flight attendants weren't very friendly. I overheard one day she doesn't know why people get on the plane and then use the lavatory right away. How about this is a possibility, your flight was delayed 25 minutes and we were in line waiting to board so after we got on the plane and got situated we needed to use the restroom. Maybe she was just having a bad day."

Cons: "I'm baffled that it's $55 to check a bag. Or $25 to move 2 rows up to a seat the same size. Or how ever much to get water on the plane. Poor business model. I was flying home last minute for a funeral but I highly doubt I would use Spirit again."

Cons: "After making the reservation I tried to call to make an adjustment and your website is the worst I have seen in quite sometime and completely worhtless as far as making changes and much less trying to reach someone for assistance. NEVER WILL I CONSIDER THIS AIRLINE AGAIN AND WILL GLADLY TELL EVERYONE I CAN ABOUT IT."

Cons: "that I have to pay $50.00 for may luggage and it waits only 27 pounds."

Cons: "They wanted to charge $55 per carry-on, even for a small one and my laptop bag for each leg if the trip! That's $220! I will never fly with them again!"

Cons: "I didn't like the fact you have to pay for hand carry. That makes no sense to me and is misleading with your plane fares. The new planes have no seats that recline even though your take off and landing instructions call for having see in full upright position. It is always in that uncomfortable position. And the tray tables are way too small. you can't fit anything on there except a glass. For someone who travels often Spirit Airlines would definitely be my last choice. I definitely wouldn't recommend this airine to anyone."

Cons: "Delays, waiting 8 hrs. delayed, looks like not enough personnel to take care of passengers needs, confusion and misleading information, followed by poor apologies, not worth, I will never flight again with Spirit. Also, there are fees everywhere, really you think you will save money, I don't think so, by the time you add the baggage fees,check in fees,seat fees etc. you end up paying more than other , better serviced airlines. Sorry , lost a client , I have tried three times thinking that you will improve,, the same result.NOT AGAIN!!"

Cons: "I had so many delays. The first flight was delayed two hours, because of mechanical problems. On my way back we were delayed for half an hour originally, which then turned into three hours. It totally messed with my travel schedule and will never use Spirit again. I understand that it is less expensive, and am 100% fine with not having typical amenities, but I would not expect to lose 5 hours of my life because they can't get it together."

Pros: "- They were so kind as to offer us "complimentary water" for our inconvenience which was a result of them not properly checking their equipment"
Cons: "- Upon arriving at the gate, the flight was listed as going to Denver instead of Minneapolis. There was no representative to ask about this discrepancy. Additionally, when I talked to customer support, they offered no help and had no idea what was actually happening so they made up a lie instead. - As it turns out, our flight was delayed, multiple times... with only one notification of those delays posted - The pilot for our flight was missing, however, the pilots for the flight after were both at the gate - When the pilot arrived, the flight attendants were missing - Just before entering the runway, we stopped and were informed there was an issue with the engine - This issue resulted in an hour delay with no air circulation to cool the cabin, resulting in 85 degrees of discomfort, lasting for over an hour - When the flight finally took off, the flight attendants did not bother to check that everyone was buckled, or that carry on items were stowed away - If you need more reasons why not to fly Spirit, please read more reviews"

Cons: "They make their ticket price lower, but don't tell you there are mandatory additional charges for things that are included with every other airline. To have ANY seat, not just special seats, there is an extra fee. There is a whopping $45 fee for a carry-on. You don't find out about these things until you go to check in. But you're stuck. You bought the "ticket" long ago. You just weren't aware you had bought a partial ticket. What a shameless racket. We will never use this airline again."

Pros: "It was my first time flying and I had no problems with boarding or late flights. Everything went smooth and I had a great experience for my first flight. I would take Sprit again if I could fit all my items in my personal carry on that is free of charge. If I need to pay for any other carry on or check in bags I might want to check out a different airline. Overall great experience. Seats had a lot of room and the plane was pretty clean."

Cons: "that the amount charged for the bags feels like a scam. You fall for purchasing the tkt at a "competitive" price and you are pressured at the check in to overpay for you bags. If passenger is connecting to international flights, both ways, its twice the assault!"

Cons: "My flight was canceled and had to sleep on the airport and came too late to work next day! I wouldn't book again with Spirit Airlines!!!"

Cons: "I paid extra to obtain an exit seat with extra leg room for an overnight flight, but the seat was slightly lower and much harder than the surrounding seats, causing me to shift my medium frame weight throughout the night."
