Cons: "Boarding got very weird. Having B, C and D boarding groups, all of which sound the same over a loudspeaker, made for some confusion."

I was given an American conf # but was not able to check-in online on either American or Alaska airlines. Once I called to get the Alaskan conf # I was still unable to check-in with anyone other than an agent F2F as airport. Additionally, no Alaska flight number information was provide on tickets or confirmation so finding appropriate baggage claim, etc became a hunting exercise. Limited food options or in-flight enteratainment for a long flight (5+hours). Inflight entertainment options were limited. You can use your own device with limited free TV programming. Movie rentals and popular TV shows are $3-6 a piece. Device rental is $10."

I chose American Airlines for a reason, a good one at that. Yet this happened."

Cons: "The AA employee at the counter in Batoj Rouge informed me that I would miss my connection at Charlotte Airport due to a delayed in the incoming flight. Hebgave me the option to flight the next day or flight the same day, and after a 2 hour delay flight to Charlotte where I would be provided a hotel room and a meal for the night. I asked several times if that information was confirmed and he repeatedly said yes. At my arrival at Charlotte Airport (near midnight) every AA employee said that they did NOT have any more hotels. It was obvious that everything was a staged lie since over 100 people had to spend the night in one of the the terminals where we were provided a pillow and a blanket. I am terribly disappointed for the lack of transparency in AA. I was told my some friends that they also have had experiences like that at the same Charlotte Airport. You have damage once again your reputation and from no own in will expect THE WORST from AA."

Pros: "One of us had the last seat on the plane even though they were reserved almost a month ago. However we had signed up for basic economy so that was not a shock. What was a shock was that water was dripping from the top side track onto his lap and he had to use the provided brochures to redirect the dripping water. The steward said it was condensation and that was it. Also, since it was next to bathroom, the smell wasn't great and the small child screaming while waiting to get into the bathroom wasn't pleasant."

As a full-paying customer I shouldn't be the one to suffer because of it."

It was a turbulent flight with thunderstorms (barely too bumpy for drink service) but Captain made it as smooth as possible and also kept us well informed what to expect. Plane was also on time, though many flights that day were late."

I appreciated the texts, but would have liked to have more information about why we were delayed. Communication from gate agents can go such a long way. I never understand why nothing is offered to passengers in return for such delays--whatever happened to food vouchers, etc.?"

I called in and could not get a seat on the flight that she was rebooked to. The alternative I was offered was to fly out the next morning with a 9 hour layover in SF. I elected to go to the airport and sit on standby to get onto her flight. Her flight was scheduled to leave at 8:30. No planes arrived and no announcements were made until 9:30 (telling us that the flight would depart at 10:30. No agents were at the desk and there were at least 15 people in line. Many of them opted to go back outside of security to ask the font desk what was going on. Finally, a very angry woman came to the gate counter at 10:00 as she repeatedly told the passengers that she was supposed to get off her shift hours ago. As she began the boarding process, she told me that there was a seat on the flight. I responded by asking if she could book me on the connecting flight from SF to SeaTac. She responded frustratedly that I should have taken care of that earlier (which of course I couldn't do until I knew I had a seat on this flight). We got to SF and ran to our connecting flight (with only 9 minutes to spare). My wife paid $329 for a one-way flight from SB to Seattle (which is a LOT) expecting to leave SB at 6:15pm and arrive in Seattle at 10:30pm (by way of SF). Instead, what she got for her $329 was a very stressful experience of not knowing if I would be joining her and she got on a flight with me at 10:30 and landed in Seattle at 1:30am. We received poor Customer Service and vouchers or compensation for our inconvenience."
