Exemptions or waiver to the testing requirements may be granted by the CDC on an extremely limited basis when emergency travel (like an emergency medical evacuation) must occur to preserve someone’s life, health against a serious danger, or physical safety and testing cannot be completed before travel.
US citizens and permanent residents arriving from the UK must present a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure.

Cons: "I was in the last group being boarded (D) - by the time it gets to this group it seems a kind of controlled pandemonium starts and the staff just do their best to herd people in. I have an Alaska Air credit card and one of the selling points was to board earlier, but that has not been the case, as they reserve this for their higher level customers, whatever that means. Also, on this flight, I was very unimpressed with the crew, there was a younger African American man, who was particularly unfriendly, he clearly needs remedial training in customer service. I was disappointed with my experience this time as I have mostly found the crews to be very professional."

I waited, and waited, and started to panic as the flight time approached but knew the plane was literally 10 steps away so I did my best to remain calm. I tried to enter when people started to board, but despite my confirmation number, receipt for my flight and 2 forms of photo ID, the security team informed me that I must get a boarding pass from the non existent Alaska air employees. After waiting for 45 minutes and watching my plain board and fly away, an employee finally showed up and did his best to help me, but also told me its normal for Alaska to leave their assistance desk unmanned, and I should have used the kiosk... Which didn't work. After putting me on a bus to SF airport and assuring me they have a flight waiting for me with united. I was surprised to discover they actually shipped me to an airport 2 hours south, with no ticket waiting for me. After a 24 hour ordeal I finally made it to my destination, and all I was offered for their horrible customer service and "forgetting" to confirm the flight they claimed was waiting for me, was a 24$ food voucher!!!! Wow, a full day late for my cousins wedding, but I got a food voucher! I'm shocked and appalled at their lack of professionalism and will NEVER fly with Alaska again"

I understand that the fault didn't lie with AA, however, the rate for changing the ticket borders on the ridiculous. I have to travel quite a bit as of late for work, I am doing all i can to Avoid using American. There were others on the flight that paid for first class that didn't pay as much as me and i was stuck in boarding group 6. It really feels as though American is only in it for the dollars, not the customer service."

Someone pressed the call button during the flight but the stewardess couldn't be bothered to get up and the call light stayed on the whole flight. Eventually the plane cooled some once we were airborne but stayed too warm. It got very hot once again when we landed."

The 2 men, average size, 5'9" were placed in window seats that required your head to be bent to the side because the wall curves over and the seat was so narrow. Everyone was hanging over each other's seat. There was no leg room. Everyone on the plane was upset and in disbelief that for 7 hours we would have to fly like that. Spending thousands of dollars, I did not expect this extremely closterphobic conditions. I would have paid extra for better seats. Not a happy customer."
