Collectively, that made this considerably more than another flight. The crew made the personal element truly exceptional. Cabin Supervisor Hershel and Cabin Crew Ali deserve particular recognition. Their hospitality went well beyond procedural service; they took the initiative to acknowledge my birthday and, using the resources available onboard, thoughtfully assembled a small presentation with KitKat chocolates and dessert to wish me. It was simple, spontaneous, genuine, and immensely memorable. For someone who spends a considerable part of life travelling, these are precisely the moments that transcend service delivery and become lasting memories. That is where Qatar continues to excel: exceptionally well trained, composed, aligned, and polished crew who can deliver consistency without appearing mechanical. The human warmth remains evident, and individual colleagues repeatedly find ways to distinguish themselves. One small opportunity would have made the occasion even more complete. As we were travelling from Doha to India on 15 August, still within Indian Independence Day, a subtle acknowledgement of India celebrating its 80th Independence Day, perhaps simply wishing the Indian guests onboard on this proud occasion, would have been a thoughtful and culturally resonant gesture. It certainly does not detract from an excellent journey, but would have added another meaningful dimension to an already memorable flight. The only substantive disappointment was that my checked luggage did not complete the journey with me from Seattle (SEA), via Doha (DOH), to Kolkata (CCU), having been delayed in Doha. A baggage exception report is already on file with the local airport team in Kolkata. Given the confidence Qatar Airways has earned from me over the years, I remain optimistic that they will once again live up to that standard, work their magic, and reunite me with my luggage within the next 24 hours. Overall, another exceptional experience and one I will genuinely cherish. Hershel and Ali, thank you for making my birthday in the skies so memorable. Way to go, Qatar Airways. Please continue investing in and developing your cabin professionals to this calibre. Our experience on the Doha to Hyderabad segment was extremely stressful due to prolonged delays and a lack of clear communication from the airline. We were traveling as a family, including children, and the uncertainty around timing and next steps caused significant distress. There was very little proactive information provided during the delay, and we were not given clear written explanations about what was happening or how long it might take. This made it difficult to manage the situation, especially while caring for children in a transit environment. In addition, one member of our party was ultimately unable to continue travel, which added to the emotional strain and disruption of the trip. Overall, the experience highlighted gaps in communication, customer care, and handling of unexpected situations. We are sharing this feedback so that future passengers, especially families, are supported with clearer communication and better assistance during irregular operations.

My entire row did not have power for the full duration of a 14.5 hour flight. Could not charge any devices such as laptop or phones for the entirety of the long flight. The flight attendants tried to remedy the issue by resetting the power, but were not successful. The only other solution provided was to move me to another seat on the plane which was in the middle row. I had paid for a “preferred” seat that was a window seat. This was a downgrade being offered due to the power issue.

Check in desk people constrained by fear. Obvious typo on Uganda visa, even though approved, caused loss of flight. Something is definitely wrong with this system.

You're like a poor man's Emirates Airlines. The Asian vegetarian food was awful. The entertainment selection was very limited and not contemporary at all. The seats were cramped. There was no plug for charging my phone (I refuse to plug into a USB port - A security risk). The plane itself was aged.

Qatar screwed up by delaying our onward journey for refueling, which resulted in missing our connecting flight to India. the airport qater staff at Doha, herded us like cattle in a very incohesive and uncoordinated way. We were then given 2 options: either catch our original flight the Next day ( After 24.hrs) or catch 2 flights instead , to goto our destination in India. All this, for paying a premium for Qatar.

This flight was packed and undercrewd! Service cart cam by twice on a 14 hour flight

We encountered a glitch when we tried to board the flight because our boarding passes had been printed by Qatar Airways in Jakarta. Those were not recognized by Alaska’s system also we had to step out of line and have new boarding passes printed.
